A large ship sailed into harbor on the uninahbited island. A large crowd of women and a few men, all white, walked about the deck, a few loading guns. Most unloading supplies. The ship had taken off from Western Emanara with false El Cid Campeon papers. Its real purpose was to found a new nation. Away from the invading forces.

As the ship pulled up as near to shore as it could come, a small boat was lowered containing Elizabeth Putnam, Alexis Buchanan, Sarah Simpson, Rachel Edwards, Theresa Williamson, Mark Daniels, and Matthew George. The two men and Theresa carried semi-automatic rifles and were dressed in camouflage. The other four women were wearing jeans, pullovers, and hiking boots, carrying equipment for setting up camp. As the boat hits the beach, Mark, Matthew, and Theresa hit the ground first, running up to the edge of the woods. After a moment, they conclude that there's no immediate danger on the uninhabited and unclaimed island. Theresa looks back, waving the others forward.

OOC: Does this land have any natural resources? Staging capability for military bases? I may plan on seizing the territory myself, just because I'm an evil opportunist.

(OOC: I would also like to know the capabilities of this "New Land". Since my nation is planning on becoming a maritime leader, we need staging points for naval facilities, water spy equipment, research stations, and possibly Doujin-type sea platforms.)

((I posted semi-open, no taking over, destroying the colony in its infant stages. The island is big enough for a nation. It has to be, because its going to be the new Emanara. It has fish, fruit, water, and small deposits of bauxite.))

Meanwhile, on the other side of the island, another large boat pulls into harbor. This one has a mostly black crew, though some are mixed. Like its counterpart, it is overwhelmingly female, with a few males scattered about. A woman and six men are lowered to the water in a small boat, all carrying shotguns. Claire Smith was the first ashore, gun at the ready. She wore black trousers, a black leather jacket, a black tee, and military boots. Her comrades were similarly dressed. She ran quickly onto the shore, peering about. The others followed. A few hours of exploration revealed no serious dangers.

The Empire of Itinerate Tree Dweller will protect the colonies of Emanara for a period of 50 years (or until it is deemed appropriate to leave), during which the seeds of a new nation can be sown.

On both sides of the island, the new settlers were busy hunting for food, fishing, clearing lands for fields, and cutting down lumber to build homes. What supplies were on the boats were being unloaded.
