Today is a sad day that will go down in history for the Exetonian peoples. One of the most benevolent leaders to have been in the leadership position of Exetonia Minor even whilst it was called Cornwall was gunned down on a state visit to the newly re-opened Eden project. The government has been sworn back in for an emergency meeting before free elections are held in 2 months time.

A national week of mourning has been declared accross Greater Exetonia at the loss of such a great man. His funeral will be in one weeks time to coincide with the end of the international mourning period.

Powell is most famous for making in-roads in diplomacy opening many embassies abroad as well as inviting countries to open embassies at home. He engaged in several conflicts in his time as leader but all for the succes and survival of Exetonia Minor.

His most notable achivements are the three peace treaties he manged to secure against all odds with the papers he himself wrote. Most notably, the Greater Exetonia accords. He will be sorely missed.

The USN sends its condolences to the government and the people of Exetonia Minor. As a sign of respect we will hold a national minute of silence at noon tomorrow.

The USN will also send our Secretary of State to the funeral, as a representative of President Howard Mills, if we are invited that is.

The Opinnian Government grieves for the loss of such a great diplomat. He established ties with us through embassy exchanges and we are greatful that he could do so. We will hold a week of mourning for the loss of this great man. Is there any evidence of who the commiter of this regicide was?

Unfortunatly, at this time, their are no known signs of who commited this heinous act. All with Exetonia Minor's power is being done to find the killer. And yes, USN, you secretary of state is most welcome to attend, in fact, we would be honored if he could.

I would like to send my sincerest sympathies to Exetonia Minor. As you know, my father was assassinated recently. In lieu of these events, I am declaring a national day of mourning to be held honoring all slain leaders.

The Fascist Confederacy being an ally (Through the UTA) of Exetonia Minor, send our condolenses along with five hundred potted Orchids to be placed at the President's home and burial site. We hope the Exetonian people will mourn, but quickly move on and have many good rulers after the lost.

Vastiva mourns your loss. Our flags will fly at half mast for the next three days in sympathy and in respect for the passing of your leader, and we will send an official diplomatic attache to attend the funeral in proxy for our Sultan.

You complete imbosils, the idea was to remove and dispose of him. Now the entire state and the world are in uproar at this occurence and should the truth ever come out, we're all dead. How could you make such a mistake. You've got to correct it. I dont care how but, do it, implicate someone, a foreign ambassador maybe (ooc:any takers) and then we can give these prats justice.

The Republic Of Endenia sends its condolences to the assasination of the President, our former Emperor had enjoyed close ties to the President. The President Cassandra Woo has ordered a day of mourning for the President and has ordered the Oni Gang Spy Network to begin searching for clues to the assasination.
