At 12:00 hours today, the military of Exetonia moved to capture the state of Exetonia Independants on the border between herself and her sister nation to the north. It was decided that this terrirtory was needed for expansions. Peaceable negotiations failed and Exetonia independants fired MLRS deep into Exetonia Minor hitting civilian targets to try and subdue the peoples. It has been assertianed by the Exetonian Government that Exetonia Independants has the following:

There is stiff ressistance expected although victory is assured. We'll bring you more as it comes in. To sum up, Exetonian Minor has declared war on Exetonia Independants for further territory expansion after peaceable talks broke down and MLRS's were fired at civilian targets in Exetonia Minor from Exetonia Independants. The navy is expected to arrive in 12 hours where as the mobile companies are already en-route to the border.

17:00 hours:

The Exetonian first armour with support from the third light armour crossed the border into Exetonia Independants with the hopes of securing a quick victory. Due to it being deep winter night had settled in. In the distance MLRS bateries could be seen to be firing deep into Exetonian terrirtory once again. The third light armour was dispatched to that area to deal with the problem. Their ETA cross country was 2 hours. Meanwhile, the first armoured roared across the roads in Exetonia Independants to wards the capital of Bude. It was important this was captured as swiftly as possible.

Meanwhile in the Exetonian Ocean, the First carrier group led by the IEV (Imperial Exetonian Vessel) Truro, a nimitz class carrier were bearing down on their destination for a strike base close to Exetonia Independants coastline. all the SH-60 Helicopters were airborned doing sweeps for Submarines. as of yet their search had prooved fruitless. n the deck of the Truro, men were scurrying around the decks preparing the flight deck for plane launch.

19:00 hrs

The thrid light armout roared towards the MLRS battery which had been firing minute after minute hour after hour for the past 3 and a half. They stopped 3 miles short to assertain its defensive caoabilities. Some 900 troops and that was it. They again set off, all the men in the APC's readied their weapons and the LBT's prepared their smg's. This would be swift and the aim was to capture the battery. They closed with 1 mile and then began to open up on the position. The apc's drove to 500 meters where they had to get the troops disembarked and ove out quicklt as they were coming under rocket and mortar fire. The troops, some 200 crack men advanced rapidly wioth supporting fire from teh vehicles they had disembatrked from.

The action was decisive. For the loss of 25 men and 17 behicles, the position was taken in under 1/2 an hour.

Meanwhile in the Exetonian Ocean, the Carrier group pulled to a stop and waited for their irders to bombard targets within Exetonia Independants to submission. At the same time, The first armoured had run into trouble along the road to Bude. and was taking heavy losses. They were bogged down and unable to move. Infantry were running from tehir burning APC's regrouping and assulting the guerila pockets. some 70 vehicles were destroyed already. Air support was requested, and the carrier group launched 10 f-14's on a rapid course to bombard the area. The exetonian forces began to withdraw. 3 minutes later, 10 napalm shells landed on the position wiping it out. The first armour then sprang back into action.

At an undisclosed airbase, the exetonian Undependants airforce was mobilising to bomb targets in Exetonia Minor...

Fellow citizens of Exetonia Minor and all nations of the world. at 19:00 hours today, exetonian forces engaged with independant forces after the break down of peace talks as to their being welcomed into Exetonia Minor. after the break down of these talks, Exetonia independants fired several MLRS's into Exetonia Minor. I then took the decision to engage independants in full sclae war. That is all for now

After the slight delay, the first and thrid armour and light arnour respectively linked up and procededfor their last target. The MLRS positions turned on their owners and opened up on the capital causing wide spread destruction. Although harder than expected, the campaign was going well. Meanwhile, the cariier group had reached its destination 4 hours ahead of schedule and begun the strategic bombardment of targets in Exetonia independants. Casulaties were mounting on their side and the military knew it was only a matter of time before the resistance caved in...


Meanwhile, in Bude...

John Harrison was worried sick. His government had palced beforeb him a letter to read to the nation before forces came before them in person. he read aloud the following statement live on TV:


People of Exetonia Independants, I have the sorry news of dedcalring our un conditional surrended to the Facist pigs of Exetonia Minor. many of you may wish to escape, but for everyoine else im afraid we are now recognised citizens of exetonia Minor. There is no way we can resist such a show of force. That is all.


With that, the war eneded and the government rounded up mas political prisoners. Exetonia Independants was hence forth known as Exetonia minor.

The REPUBLIC of Endenia asked that the political prisoners not be exercuted but be only imprisioned. They do not deserve to die. We also congratulate the Exetonia Military on a job well done.
