We will celebrate the successful invasion of Neoma and the slaughter of its millions who dared to oppose us.

I will not drink over the corpses of millions. Congratulations on your victory, but we will not celebrate death and loss.

I will not drink over the corpses of millions. Congratulations on your victory, but we will not celebrate death and loss.

Yes the wording of the celebration was rather lacking in compassion but trust us when we say it was not meant that way as soon the first batch of Drum God citizens will colonise the land and receive the living space which they need and deserve. Surely, we can celebrate a new page in our history together?

We would like to take the opertunity to congratulate you in these marvelous achievements. We have encountered this ourselves there's nothing more rewarding than victory after years of imprisonment of your own borders.
Lebensraum is vital for the ever expanding empires on the globe, there is no place for weakness and unwillingness in todays society.

Of course we will. Those disempowered nations are a cancer of todays society, anc while we're creating an utopia for our citizens are also cutting away all impurities. Instead of condemning us, we should be lauded and praised. Too bad most of the world leaders are too shortsighted to see this.

If accepted, we will send a dignitary as a neutral observer. I hope this is to your satisfaction.

Tania Ormov, the vetern Foriegn Minister of Momanguise stepped lightly off her de-armed MiG-21. Surveying the vast square in front of her, she marveled at the achievements of this Empire. So alive, so invigorated, so different from the endless drab concrete blocks of Momanguise. Yet she bore in mind the possibility that this great city may have been paid for in blood, and that her mind must be at all times open.
Guffingford

OOC: sounds good.

Master Barbarry of the High Justice Counsil drove to Celexii International Airport where his private learjet was waiting for him. The were going to an honourable nation called Drum Gods. Guffingford and Drum Gods shared the same opinions about lebensraum and since Drum Gods threw a party about a recent(?) victory someone important had to attend.

*****

After a calm flight of six hours the plane touched down gently on the landing strip and was taxied to a gate. Mr Barbarry walked to the exit of the airport and got in a splendid car who would drive him to his hotel.

At the airport the arrival of the first ambassador prompted airport personnel to roll out a vast red carpet leading an Imperial Limousine. The limousine itself was bomb-proof and surrounded by a convey of both Intelligence Agency Cars and Motorcycles. In the air Fighter Jets quarantined Drum Gods airspace over the capital. This would be a celebration that would go off without a hitch. The airport was a ornately decorated with marble and gold spires making it seem more akin to a cathedral than an airport. Precious jewels encrusted on doorways and exits created a special if not slightly strange atmosphere.

"Please Ms.Ormov, Master Barbarry the car is waiting to take you to our dignified event,"smiled the Chief Evecutive of Goldovan airport.

OOC: Everyone's disappeared.....
Guffingford
05-10-2004, 14:56
OOC: I'm here. Post the introduction to the party and i'll hop on
Drum Gods
05-10-2004, 15:02
The limousine zoomed away surrounded by its protective convey into the busy roads of the Ist City of Bass. The cityscape was filled with towering skyscrapers decorated in an unusual yet beautiful combination of silver steel and gold. This was the centrepiece of the Empire a city built of the riches of colonialism. The Empire's people thrived on a policy of profiting from expansion and my did it show.
Surrounding the limousine the ambassadors could see through their tinted windows roads filled Ferraris, Maseratis and Porsches. Elegant and sophisticated ladies perused the shops looking for the latest fashion. Men in suits meanwhile walked through the streets talking to their videophones scrapping for the latest construction contracts in some new far off part of the Empire. At this rate the ambassadors could expect one hell of a reception and so the limousine arrived at the large mahogany doors of the Saint-Brizan Hall which swung open revealing Foreign Minister Gransond smiling and waiting to greet them with his ministerial staff behind him.....
Guffingford
05-10-2004, 15:29
Master Barbarry drove in Drum God's imperial limosine to the Ist Brass City, a splendid view from his windows amazed him and made him thinking... Could our slaves accomplish something like that too? It would be a sign to all nations, the grandeur of National Socialism. Master Barbarry was thinking and dreaming about this magnificent concept and he suddenly "woke" up when he arrived at the beautiful hall where the party was held. He got out of the car and walked through the grand doors into an even greater hall.
Drum Gods
05-10-2004, 15:34
As the limousine pulled up and the first guest arrived he was greeted in the hall by Mr.Gransond, a tall man with a shaved head and a goatee, he held a out a flute glass filled with champagne for his guest:

"Good afternoon I am Foreign Minister Gransond, I trust you had a pleasant journey Master Barberry? Let us toast to your safe arrival....," he held up his own champagne glass as he handed the other to Barberry.
Guffingford
05-10-2004, 15:46
Thank you. Yes, the journey was very pleasant. And my compliments for the outstanding service, this champagne is a true fest for all my senses.

Mr Barbarry took a sip of the champagne and let the taste fill his mouth for a few seconds and then he swallowed it.

I also have to say, our emperor is interested in opening up relations with your country. He would be most pleased if your leader contacted him about it. It is for the benefit of us both, he said...
Drum Gods
05-10-2004, 15:55
The Foreign minister finished the rest of his champagne and handed it to a waitress that passed by:

"I believe it would be better for us to cultivate those relations. Our Emperor is a very busy man as you can understand. He does not simply revel in his riches he works for them and to find time for such negotiations may well lead into the coming year or two. I am sure that meanwhile we could sort it out now. Do you not think so?"
Guffingford
05-10-2004, 16:11
But of course, our Emperor is also a busy man. Cultivating our relation keeps the potential of strenghtening our ties. I'm sure our emperors have no objection when us two can reach a compromise. I will inform him as soon as possible, he will be delighted. You must come and visit our colonies in Africa one day. Those are the prime example why Guffingford is such a prosperous nation...

Master Barbarry took another sip of champaign and continued talking with Foreign Minister Gransond. There were lots of people, several CEO's of major companies, ministers, representatives... The whole lot.
Drum Gods
05-10-2004, 16:17
A military commander dressed in a a suit may of the smoothest and finest materials sauntered over to the Gransond and Mr.Barberry he laughed,"Yes Africa I remember our first campaigns to conquer north Africa. Those brutes never knew what hit them but alas we had to release those colonies during the 'Forsaken Ages' though are marks remain in the architecture that was built and that statues of the Emperor that stand there. I don't think the new rulers know what they mean to be honest. Brutes."

In the meantime, Tania was finding herself lost in the sheer grandeur of the palace. Feeling a bit dizzy, she neglected to drink the champagne and instead took a short drink of Cognac from her hip-flask. She could overhear the dignitarys of Guffingford and her host in conversation, and went over to introduce herself.

Dignitary of Guffingford, the Othodox Church's of Armenia and Georgia send their regards. Though our Governments may disagree about a wide variety of issues, we almost fourght on the same side recently. I hope I can extend relations with your Government.

She turned then to her host.

I must confess, for such a mighty nation we know very little of you. However we hope this only a tempory barrier, and I am intrested in establishing an embassy inside of Drum Gods. Oh, and nice country you've got here.
Guffingford
06-10-2004, 09:53
Momanguise citizens have always been treated with the highest respect in Guffingford. Opening up relations with you will be marvelous news to our Emperor. I'm sure it will be likewise with your leader. Christianity kept Europe together for hundreds of years and now the ignorant are destroying it.
Momanguise
06-10-2004, 09:57
Tania nodded.

Though we believe in the nessicity of maintaning a division between the Church and the State, many of us keep the faith alive. Would you consider an embassy exchange?
Guffingford
06-10-2004, 10:08
The Emperor has the ultimate authority about embassies exchanges. You must contact Him about that, that is not my department. Our two nations have a lot in common...
Momanguise
06-10-2004, 10:21
And yet we have many differnces. Guffingford is an Empire, yet we believe passionatly in the right to self determination. However, we appreciate the efforts Guffingford made in making a peaceful withdrawal from Spain and Portugal. We thank you for this. You may tell your Emporer that our Governemt is prepared to build an Embassy in Yerevan, our Capital. In addition, today our Premier created a pact commited to peace, the Atlantis Pact. Would you mention this to your Emporer?
Guffingford
06-10-2004, 10:29
Too bad our Emperor decided to abandon all alliances, including the esteemed RWC alliance. We do wish to stay allied with individual nations, but being tied to an alliance constitution doesn't suit us and our operations. Our withdrawal from Spain and Portugal is merely temporarily, those NATO fools tried to gain control but thank God, Intelligent Neighbors keeps the peace there and keeps those violent lunatics at bay.
Momanguise
06-10-2004, 10:41
Tania remembered her diplomatic role, and spoke again.

Of course we respect your Governments wishes. If you investigate the Pact you will find it is not an Alliance but...it is of no importance. You may act as you please.

As to the situation in Europe, we have over one million front line fighters and five times that ammount in logistics stationed in Italy. This is a potential political tinderbox, and so we wish to be sure of our footing. Can we have an assurance that your commitment is towards peace in Europe?
Guffingford
06-10-2004, 10:47
The situation in Europe ended in a stalemate actually. The once so powerful nation Unified-Sith lost a great deal of influence and power after their government collapsed in Western-Germany, which we took over for the people and to put an end to a divided Germany since the days of Austar Union. Guffingfordians have always lived scattered in Europe, and the dream of one European empire was close, but NATO ruined our dream. There will be peace when Hamptonshire and Chellis are gone forever and when those nations cease to label Guffingford as an enemy, there will be peace.
Momanguise
06-10-2004, 10:54
We are well aware of the situation in Europe. It is heartening to hear that the nation of Unified Sith has fallen from grace, we saw what he almost did to Europe.

We hope that the situation reaches a satisfactory conclusion. We believe that peace is preferable to war, and hope that all sides bear that in mind. I may add however that Guffingford enjoys a cetain degree of popularity with our people. Armenia and Georgia are possibly the oldest christian states in the world, and should you ever wish to make any visits you will be most welcome.
Drum Gods
06-10-2004, 21:33
Foreign Minister Gransond came walked over two his two guests:

"Sorry I have been slightly preoccupied. Indeed we have much to learn about one another. We do not know much about either of your nations and so take this to be a learning opportunity," he smiled,"Please enlighten me."
Momanguise
07-10-2004, 09:10
Tania was only to happy to oblige.

Momanguise is a socialist state found in the trans-caucuas. It consists of the states of Armenia and more recently Georgia. We are attempting to raise our international prestige, and so we are extending relations. Would you consider an embassy exchange?
Drum Gods
07-10-2004, 13:08
"I believe the only way we can move forward is with the help of our friends. An embassy exchange must surely be the first step in making a new friend. So what do you think of our centrepiece of glory? Our capital city? Let me introduce you to Mr.Grover, the master architect and engineer who came up with the designs for the city."

With that an athletic man, not too tall but then again not too short walked over smiling. Broad shouldered and with bearded face he walked over to at hearing his name and smiled,"How do you do?"
Momanguise
07-10-2004, 13:16
Tania shook the mans hand, a short woman herself she had to lean forwards. Her height had never disadvantaged her, indeed when building a snipers nest it had been a bonus.

Your capital is indeed impressive Mr. Grover, you have my congratulations. I envy the future ambassedor to Drum Gods. Now you are obviously more adept at creating visions of grandeur than our own archietechs, so I presume you would wish to construct your embassy in Yerevan?
Drum Gods
07-10-2004, 13:22
"Please you flatter me!,"he blushed,"As long as you can spare the gold, the silver and the steel I will make sure our embassy becomes a landmark for your people to admire and enjoy."

He took a step to his side towards one of the waiters and took some brown object. He grinned mischievously:

"The Rogrivens Cigar the finest in the Empire which used to be most of the known world. Would you like one? It is definitely an experience you'll forget and is somewhat of a local custom."

He held one towards his guest as he lit up whil staring at her intensely.....
Momanguise
07-10-2004, 13:28
Seeing the challange, Tania casually took the Cigar.

I must admit I rarely smoke anything more sophisticated than an army issue cigarette, cheap nasty things that they are.

She took a long drag, before blowing a smoke ring.

I will instruct our department of trade to contact you, we may have just found a new import.
Drum Gods
07-10-2004, 13:31
A huge grin illuminated Grover's face:

"My oh my! A lady after my own heart. I must admit the last foreign diplomat I offered a cigar too choked miserably. His face went green and I wondered what had happened to all the strength in society. I am glad to see it's still present in some parts of society."

Meanwhile smoke started to fog the air around:

"It tastes different doesn't it? Not just the fact its the strongest you can get but the aroma. Herbal but with a sting no?"
Momanguise
07-10-2004, 13:36
It's certainly a flavour to remember. I wonder, how much would one of these cost me in a commercial outlet?

ooc: I'm getting the feeling this cigars drugged. Is this the case (or anything else I should know)?
Drum Gods
07-10-2004, 13:38
OOC: No not at all! Its just really meant to have a really strong kicking aftertaste.

IC:

"Oh you can only get these fine specimens by Imperial Appointment. You must be approved by the Emperor himself as an individual worthy of the the privilage. Many of the finest world leaders have access to these."
Momanguise
07-10-2004, 13:58
ooc: Good good (damn me and my cynicism).

ic:

Tania took another drag, enjoying the flavour. It was the sort of product that never saw light of day in Momanguise.

I must say that I doubt it that our leader would accept these. He abhors preferential treatment of all kinds. I thank you for your kindness however; I am indeed privileged to have such consideration. I will see to it that you have whatever resources that you require when it comes to the embassy construction.
Drum Gods
07-10-2004, 14:01
Grover smiled meekily,"It is a shame I'm sure you would truly appreciate them."

Meanwhile Gransond had been in the background talking to others and making deals. He strode over with intent back to Tania:

"Please excuse me Mr.Grover. Momanguise and Drum Gods have much to discuss. Matters of importance."

Mr.Grover bowed and moved away leaving the two together....
Momanguise
07-10-2004, 14:03
Tania's looked with intrest at Gransond.

What are these matters of importance sir?
Drum Gods
07-10-2004, 14:06
"I'm sure an intelligent lady such as yourself will have realised that we are not here simply to celebrate. You know the history of our nation as Imperialists. We are now part of an alliance, the aptly named Alliance of Power. Do you see what I am getting at?"
Momanguise
07-10-2004, 14:10
I do indeed. From the moment you enquired about our long term enemy, Decisive Action, we knew that things would be changing. That is the real reason why I am here. My nation...

She paused, searching for the right words.

My people have a long history fighting and resisting imperialism. This celebration today is not a celebration of achievment, but of a begining. This is the start is it not? This is the beginning?
Drum Gods
07-10-2004, 14:14
Gransond gazed at Tania searching his mind for the right words:

"Our alliance seeks to expand. To garner new members so that together we can regain our former glory. We need our colonies back plain and simple. It is not just a want it is a need. This is not the beginning it is but a continuation from where we were forced to leave."
Momanguise
07-10-2004, 14:17
Tania shook her head sadly, and gazed out to the skyline beyond the building. When she finally spoke her voice was almost a whisper.

You have your glory. You have a nation with towering pinacles of achievement, Golden Archways and fine cigars. Must so many people die just for soil, for cold hard earth?
Drum Gods
07-10-2004, 14:22
"Please this is not the place to hold this conversation. My office is down the corridor. I will lead the way. I have things to tell that simply aren't meant for the ears surrounding us."

He turned around and walked out through past the mahogany doors into a corridor lined with diamond chandeliers and jewel encrusted walls. Nearly every picture and photo that hung up portrayed a battle, a war, the Drum Gods flag being raised and national leaders bowing before the Emperor.

Gransond entered his grand office and sat behind his desk waiting...
Momanguise
07-10-2004, 14:29
Tania sat down, and though something glittered at her from almost every corner of this extravagant office, she thourght longingly of her own drab building. She pulled out a small picture, a fine black and white print that showed an attractive young woman in uniform, holding a long rifle and gazing resolutly into the horizen.

You know I am a soldier too Mr. Gransond. Many years ago I fourght in the nation of Camewot, against an army of imperialists twenty times our size. We fourght bravely, and by a miracle of fate the twig diverted the flood and Camewot was saved, at a terrible cost. Two thirds of the force sent to defend that country died there, I was lucky...

Her voice trailed back as she remembered the thunder of artillery, the crackle and whistle of bullets, and the feeling as she killed someones son. Suddenly she snapped back into normality.

Listen to me, getting all sentimental! We are here to discuss the future, not the past!
Drum Gods
07-10-2004, 15:06
"Our nation is in a fragile state. Our economy is frightening and all consuming but it does not run on normal economic rules. No. It needs an conquest or invasion to be working to support the economy. Every businessman in the country invests in the military and its development. How do they get their profits? By taking control of the natural resources and reveloping the conquered lands."

He picked up a small framed picture and slid it across the desk:

"Look at that. That is an aerial view of the capital city we now sit in. See how much more glistened with extravagant towers from our conquests. Now cover half the picture. That is all that is left now."

He spun around in his chair to look out the window behind him:

"This is a matter of survival."
Momanguise
07-10-2004, 15:25
That is little excuse. Economys can be re-aligned. Fifty years ago we lived under feudalism, today we are possibly the most successful socialist economy on this planet.

She stood up, and gathered up her picture. For some reason she suddenly felt very frightend of the man at the other end of the room.

If there is nothing else to discuss I will be leaving. I will contact you about the embassy.
Drum Gods
07-10-2004, 15:29
Gransond stood up quickly a somewhat forced smile appeared on his face:

"Tania,"he whispered," At heart we are all human. Do not rush away from something this is of such key importance. I am a dignified man but that is the point I am but a man. People united together create greatness not individuals."

He put his arm out towards the chair:

"Please."
Momanguise
07-10-2004, 15:38
She stared at the man, attempting to discern what lay beyond those eyes. Slowly she sat down.

I am intrested to know why you value my company so, after my country hardly constitutes a threat to yours, nor are we an ally.
Drum Gods
07-10-2004, 15:46
"We only have a few allies. Some in particular only work in their own elitest circle with no need to break into the international community. We are different, we want to be respected and not just feared."

He sat down and reclined back in his chair:

"Why did you decide to attend this celebration? Was it not to become an ally? To become a friend? I value everyones company but you,"he paused," your nation challenges me. It makes me think and that's what I need."
Momanguise
07-10-2004, 15:57
I came because, because I too value friendship. We know what hate and war and pain can do to this world.

She paused, looking over the mans shoulder as if staring at something just out of reach.

I came also because I was worried. Empires worry me. And Empires become so by war and I hate war. I hate bloody war.

Now she spoke with a sense of urgency in her voice,

You are a very powerful man, I know this. As I have already said, I am no threat to you, however I must do what I can to save innocent lives. I must.

In the depths of her memory she saw a soldier being torn limb from limb by a mortar shell, and though the image faded the scream of agony stayed in her mind.
Drum Gods
07-10-2004, 16:15
Gransond grimaced as if almost in a trance:

"I am nothing compared to the Emperor he is the exalted ruler of the Empire,"he shook his head," We do not seek war, death or misery. All we want is that which is best for our people. All our people have ever known is success through expansion. My people care for their allies. They are honourable and compassionate. So too is the Emperor believe it or not."

He stared deeply into Tania's eyes as if looking for some sort of mutual understanding:

"I was never a soldier. I never saw combat but I came to power through at times nefarious means. I have had the control of thousands of peoples lives in my hand and now I can influence billions. War is always the last resort but my people must always come first to me."
Momanguise
08-10-2004, 11:53
Tania stared back, a feeling of great pity swelling inside of her.

We have seen your claims. We know that in order for this to become a reality, men and women must die. Can you really sacrifice them? Can you send your soldiers to war, knowing they must die because of land? Can you condemn millions of innocent civillians to death, in the name of expansion?

She looked at him again, straining to see some recognition of what she was saying.

You may have a dream, but it is a flawed dream. It is a dream that must be payed for in blood, and the blood of many people. If you really love your people you must turn back now, before it is too late.
Drum Gods
08-10-2004, 13:20
"The misery for my people will increase in triplicate through financial ruin if we do not expand. We have a vast army prepared for battle and trained to be the elite so we will have minimal casualties. We target the military and government first and minimise the effect upon civilians."

He paused returning Tania's stare a slow anger being to build up inside him as he lowered his voice:

"We are not brainless warmongerers."

ooc: Sorry about the wait.

ic:

Tania's face suddenly grew tauct and drawn, a mad darting look appered in her eye. Then just as quickly it vanished and she looked more normal, more human again. Her lips grew into a small smile, and she spoke with an air of apology.

Yes, I know you are not. I am sorry. I do like you, Mr. Gransond, I think you are a good man. I misguided man prehaps but, but a good man nevertheless. This issue has personal effects on me, and I allowed that to gain the better of my duty. I hope you can forgive me.
Drum Gods
13-10-2004, 19:15
Gransond shifted around in his seat before leaning forward across the desk:

"The world of business and politics is a ruthless one. No room for emotions. There is only room for focus, focus on the eternal goal of making your people a success. That is what we want to do. Since we spoke news has come to me that we have already regained Iraq and taken control of half the Dutch Antilles and Kashmir."

He reclined back in his chair:

"And that was simply through swift and concise negotiations. However, it would be foolish to believe that negotiations will get us everything we want."
Momanguise
13-10-2004, 19:31
Tania was herself aware of this information. She stood up, giving Gransond a curt nod.

Then I am sure you have many details to view and many decisions to make. I believe I have made my own and my nations views on this matter clear, and I have nothing more to say. I will have contact made to discuss the details of the embassy exchange.

She turned slightly, and gave Gransond one last look.

Good day to you, Mr. Gransond. I hope we will meet again someday, though preferably not at a negotiating table.

With a quick click of a heel and a swish of a coat, she was gone.
Drum Gods
13-10-2004, 20:00
Gransond smiled to himself as Tania walked and picked up his dictaphone:

"Note for Imperial Logs. The nation of Momanguise shows a distinct lack of respect for the Empire. Must place them under Section 5."

He spoke loud enough just so that anyone in the corridor immediately outside his office could hear....
