[serious & open] A new era in slavery

OOC: To all the people who saw the crucible debacle, this is not going to be anywhere near like that. Both sides were wrong, end of story. It's all deleted now and it's not coming back.
I am now the main nation of Holy Panooly because I'm done with HP. Since I'm obviously not a complete jerk like some people like to think this is open to every serious and non-n00bish player who's interested in RPing with me. I recognize the nations around me without this silly game of "I ignore you haha". In fact, if our roads cross, then so be it. I'm no longer going to use the ignore because I can always decide to steer clear from someone if I don't like him/her, while still recognizing his/her existance... If you can only whine about me or the RL claims I posess I advice you to shut up in advance.

Enough chit-chat, have fun.

SECRET IC:

Letter from Lord Yeatts, Minister of workforce & government projects

SIEG HEIL! Emperor of Guffingford by the Grace of God,

Your imperial Majesty, we must have a more solid workforce to work in the factories on our mainland. Our recent expansions in Africa and Eastern-Europe were costly and our arms production has taken a serious hit from our reinforcements in Africa while an upcoming internal struggle with the unbeliever* prompts use to search for alternate means of feeding the ever-expanding factories with a continuous flow of workers.

Although cruel and hated in the world, I urge you, Emperor of Guffingford, to turn to slavery. It troubles my soul, and my heart that we must do this but it is for the betterment of us all. Me and several compassionate colleagues of mine have worked day and night on the following; each family between 20 and 40 must give birth to ten children who will be raised as soldiers or factory workers, depending on our choice. Then they will be shipped towards our ancestral lands where they will be put to labour. Housing and transportation can easily be solved by trains and using old military camps. Those who step out of the line, step out of their life as well. If we cannot be ruthless, what kind of humans are we?

My good Emperor, please consider this concept. It will aid our economy and solve many problems who are plaguing us since our foundation.

Thanks and yours sincerely, Lord C.C.D. Yeatts

HEIL GUFFINGFORD

IC:
Two weeks later, the emperor gave this plan his "seal of approval" and the orders were sent to the camps in our African colonies to start the breeding programmes. Those who refused were expandable, any tresspasser who tried to start rebellions were shot without mercy. After one month of screening people the first slave ships left port in Togo and Benin heading for the newly established slave markets in The Netherlands. We hereby send this message to all slavers around the world and those who are interested in general:

Esteemed nation leaders,

This is a message from the National Socialist Republic of Guffingford. We are proud to announce a new era in slavery, where the market is not controlled by the amount of slaves, but by their production capacity. Work never harms anyone, work liberates. You are all invited to see this marvel of capitalism!
If you are interested you might consider signing up for a tour through our slave producing colonies.

HEIL GUFFINGFORD!
The message has been sent. Now all we have to is wait for the participants. A last check revealed some minor errors in the plans and schemes, but nothing to be worried about. Inspectors maintained a tight schedule for the breeding programmes (those who have AIDS or any other genital disease cannot be used) and women the daily average of women giving birth to childrend rose with 30%.

The emperor was pleased with these results and was looking forward to more. Much more...

Guffingford Economic Standard 10/5/'04

From our redaction in Guffingfordian Africa. It has been three weeks ago since our Emperor by the grace of God approved the ingenious plan of government controlled slavery. Civil and political unrest about this touchy subject aside, what has slavery done for our economy? Nothing but good news so say analysts.

Arms, clothes, vehicle production went up 37.2% against a non-slavery raise of a mere 9.72% of last year

Mining, wood cutting and other raw forms of productivity also went up, but at a lower rate; 23.9% against 12.8% last year.

These are staggering figueres. While slavery may sound cruel and barbaric this trade has brought nothing but prosperity to the nations of Guffingfordian Africa. While other countries are still falling down in these times of social and economic unrest (and using old methods of trying to boost their damaged economies, we have found a solution others envy thanks to our Great Emperor

As Long as the 'slaves' have good living conditions, and that they will not be worked all their lives...

Go ahead! Hail Capitalism!!!

If we don't give them good living conditions then they're not as productive. A healthy slave is a good slave. Furthermore these slaves are excellent additions to spreading Christianity around the world where they are hired.

good good.... They won't be slaves until 'they no longer become productive' though. Right?

When they're no longer functioning, then we have little reason to spend money on their food, clothes, etc. It's a tough job and someone's got to do it.
