Hargeysa, Somalia province, the office of frontier security which serves as the intelligence service. An average man sat in the chair in front of an imposing desk. Next to him set a blond haired, 5’ 11”, knockout of a woman. Behind the desk sat a rumpled toad of a man. “Jones,” the rumpled toad of a man barked at the average man. “These figures are absurd. Why would a group of Moslem fundamentalist terrorists even form? We have brought peace, stability and wealth to this area. Your numbers are absurd. 450,000 followers, 40,000 troops actually planning on seizing the National Guard armories and holding everyone else in this city hostage with nukes stolen from the armory? You two are crazy. Get out of my off-“ The toad of a man broke off as an ATA-2 missile streaks across the road shot from the building on the other side, blows through the bulletproof window and immolates the toad of a man. Jones and the blond saw the flare of the rocket motor and dived to shelter behind the desk. Jones turned to the blond and said “Well Jen, it looks like where well and truly in the shit now. Lets go get the hell out of here. It’s going to get bloody soon.”

“Sir, we have reports of heavy fighting in Hargeysa. Last report from the central police headquarters reported that they were being over run.” A young watch officer reported. “What!?” General Forest exclaimed. “Something is jamming our communications over the area, but we have garbled reports of armories being overrun.” General Forest turned to another watch officer, and ordered “Call all the senior commanders for a conference in one hour. “Sir,” another young watch officer called attracting General Forests attention. “We’re getting scattered reports of fighting all across Etiria and Ethiopia it looks like this is a major event. I recall that a Lt. Colonel Sam Jarvin was predicting an upwelling of extremism and terrorism in the colonies. We all thought he was crazy, but it looks like he was understating things.” “Well, it seems like Hargeysa is the main hot spot, mobilize the quick reaction forces and move the closest ones into Hargeysa. Order a Category III mobilization.

Lt. Col Jason Steele was the commander of the 113th Armored Infantry Division. His division was based 37 miles outside of Hargeysa. His artillery regiment would stay on the base and set itself to provide fire support. The 3 regiments of armored infantry would head into the city in a column formation. It was time to start the assault. Lt. Col Steele checked his heads up display. According to the most recent intelligence there were at least 12,000 insurgents in the town heavily armed and equipped. The rebels could have 9,000 suits of Guardian Powered Armor, the same as his troops were equipped with. This could get messy if the enemy is as well trained LTC Steele thought to himself. He gave the go ahead to attack.

LTC Steele looked around him at the mutilated bodies piled in droves along Front Street. It was easy to see where isolated clumps of armed civilians had attempted to resist the terrorists. LTC Steele quickly looked on his HUD, for satellite imagery. He came up with 3 pockets of fierce fighting around a school and two hospitals. All sites looked to be overrun by Arab terrorists shortly. LTC Steele calmly said into his microphone, “Unit Push, all units. Alpha, Bravo, and Charlie, take target zones Alpha, Bravo, and Charlie. Use of deadly force is authorized. Command, I’m estimating over 40,000 dead in the city already. This is awful. More are dying now. I need air support, and am declaring martial law. Broadcast it wide band. Curfew begins in 30 minutes; anyone still outside will be shot on sight. Steele out.”

Post Battle Analysis: Battlefield was a city, infested with 34,000 insurgents. The insurgents had 8,100 troops in Guardian powered armor, looted from various armories, along with a large number of heavy weapons, man portable anti-tank, anti-air weapons, and crew served weapons.

Militia: 17,683
Civilians: 68,978

It is unknown at what point Alpha Regiment decided to begin firing upon the crowd mutilating the bodies of the personnel who attempted to hold the school with tactical nuclear weapons, however, that is where most of the enemy troop casualties came from.

“Your majesty, this is only getting worse.” Admiral Longstreet said. “We must close our borders in an attempt to stem the flow of recruits and weapons into the colonies. We would also like permission to deploy the Royal Guard. I realize, that your son, being the heir is commander of the 3rd Guard regiment, but we need the help. I also know that we’ll be sending 3,600 of the 4,000 Derivies genetically modified humans into combat. The loss of a substantial number of them would be a disaster to our continued breeding program. However, with the massive superiority of the Derivies over normal humans, we can probably wrap up the fighting within 3-6 years.” Admiral Longstreet finished his presentation to his weary looking monarch. “Very well,” Queen Adrian said, waving her hand feebly. “Do what you think is best.”

Hargeysa, Somalia just outside the city in a safe house two people were laying in bed talking. A blond haired, 5’ 11”, knockout of a woman, and a 6’ 1” average looking man, lay resting in each others arms. The man speaks first. “Jen, I have to go tomorrow to report in to my unit.” He said. “Well,” the women, Jen replied. “We both knew that your assignment to intelligence services was temporary. I hope we can stay in touch.” “Actually Jen, I have a proposal. Would you marry me?” The man said, slightly nervous. “We’ve known each other for 11 months now, and been lovers for 8 of those months. We’ve seen the worst of each other and the best. Marry me please Jen?” There’s a long slightly awkward pause as Jen stares at the ring Jones holds out, in a slightly trembling hand. “Yes, yes I’ll marry you,” Jen says “What is your real name though?” She asked. “John. John Paul. I guess that made them decide to add Jones as a little joke.” Jen placed a finger on his lips and said “enough talking for now.”

The next day, John Paul, wearing BDUs, with Lt. Col. rank on the collars knocked on General Forests door. At the barked, enter, he walked in, saluted, and said “Lt. Col John Paul reporting as ordered. “Your wrong, its Brigadier General now. Congratulations, you’re now in commanded of the 1rst Guards Brigade. It will be comprised of the 2nd, 3rd, and 5th Guards regiments. Your orders are to make a sweep through Etiriea, and cleanse the area of guerrilla forces. You were in Hargeysa, did you see the area around the hospital? Horrible. From our reports, there are only arabs in the region. We are authorizing the use of KDX gas, and tactical nukes. Be careful General, we need you alive.” Dissimiised.

We suspect NATO, or members thereof.” A short, balding doctor says, sitting back down quite nervously. King John II stands, and looks about the room. “Make no mistake; I have seen what the Arab dogs have been doing. I’m hereby ordering operation Pest House. Over the next 10 years I intend to increase the navy by 5 full fleets, double the Air Force, and dramatically increase the size of the army. I expect operation Pest House to be done within the Year.
