Greetings to the International Community.

The Technocracy of Sharina is proud to announce the completion of its very first Fusion Power Plant. It is scheducled to go on-line within several weeks, providing between 18 to 72 gigawatts per hour, depending on how many reactors are active. (For a point of reference, the USA consumes approximately 450 Gigawatts per hour)

This Fusion Power Plant will use the ICF fusion technology developed by Sharina over the past decade and half. Basically, a laser heats up a solid sphere of deterium - deterium to high tempatures, then a plasma crown will cause the sphere to implode, achieving fusion tempatures in excess of 100 million degrees Celsius.

We will no longer need to rely on oil, gas, and coal for electricity power. In addition, we will not need to build nuclear fission power plants and we don't have to worry about 25,000 years of lethal radioactivity from a meltdown. The Fusion Power Plant has very little pollution, with a scant 4 pounds of waste a day, compared to 31,000 tons (An unbelievable 62,000,000 pounds!) from a coal-fired plant of a similar capacity. And while some radiation would be created, there would be none of the lethal radioactive wastes formed when fission reactors split uranium atoms.

This Fusion Power Plant is located in the Grebev Mountains, where it can easily be defended from any aggression, while providing a very secure place should disaster strike the power plant.

Enclosed are some photographs and computer renderings of a ICF reactor in this power plant, named "Veristek Fusion Plant".

The energy minister would like to attend, unfortuanatly the KPM may be unable to attend, depending on dates as he will be taking a cruise on the new RMS Titanic.

Well done.

Jonothaninan scentists are researching a similar reactor, aid would be appericiated, but if you do not want to do this then we understand.

Another announcement from the Technocracy of Sharina.

We are currently planning on building 30 to 40 ICF Fusion Power Plants within the next 10 years. By that time, fusion power will supply 100% of all our electrical needs, along with several hydrogen fuel cell power plants. In addition, with 40 ICF fusion plants on-line, we can easily generate 2 terawatts (2,000 gigawatts) every hour.

(Another point of reference. Sharina will be able to power 4 or 5 USA's or one whole Earth with Sharina's 40 ICF power plants.)

Coal, gas, oil, and nuclear fission power plants will be dismantled, and then recycled into useful material. Coal will still be mined, but the coal will be stockpiled, as well as being used to create diamonds and other materials. Oil and gas will also be extracted, refined, and then stockpiled for EMP emergencies. Uranium will still be mined, but used for research into eliminating nuclear fission radiation and other areas of research.

We are planning on replacing the power plants of our largest types of naval vessels with mobile MFE fusion reactors. Only naval vessels in excess of 1,200 feet long and 300 feet wide will be capable of mounting the MFE reactors. This will reduce the risks of nuclear fission powered naval vessels, remove poisonous radiation, have an infinite fuel as the MFE will take seawater and refine it to fuse into energy, and conserve space on the larger vessels due to fewer power plants on them.

Fusion powered submarines are several years away, as we are in the process of researching smaller MFE reactors that would fit inside a submarine hull. Our scientists and naval strategists theorize that a fusion powered submarine could very well remain in the water forever, literally. The only limitation would be food supplies for the crew on board the submarine.

There are plans for construction of land based MFE power plants for civilian and military use. They will supplement the ICF power plants, as a secondary power system. Sharina believes in backups and even backup's of the backups.

OOC: you are future tech right?

An interesting question.

Post-Modern (2020-2050) in Energy and Construction.

Pre-Modern (1940-1970) in Automobile, Genetics, and Sewage.

Modern (2000-2020) in everything else.

Nope. I don't even have that game, nor heard of it until now (the game).

The Kingdom Of Endenia would like to congratulate Sharina on its activation of its first Fusion Power Plant. We are glad another nation is choosing a clean form of energy over other sources. Is the Sharina government interested in selling the blueprints of the reactor? Our nation is very interested.
