The Cherry Ridge Conflict Finally Ends

A couple years ago, Siesatia entered into conflict with a nation called Cherry Ridge, hereafter CR, and won a staggering victory. The agreements to the peace treaty was a 99 year lease on an island, St. Burchmans Isle, to be used as a military base by Democratic Colonies, and Siesatia. CR secretely recruited allies, and forced out the peaceful centre of command. Then the allies stole the concrete walls of DC for their own forts. We kept the Cardinal in power under good faith and he turned around and backstabbed us, even when we gave free power, that would make sure he never would need expensive powerplants again.
Siesatia continued to lobby to reclaim the island, until the cost outweighed the benefit, and the plan was scrapped so more money could be devoted towards Police and fire stations, not to mention our carrier program.

Now the two nations sit at the bargaining tables, to hammer out a non agression contract...

That retaking of the island is called The Cardinals Revenge in CR.

"I think that the treaty should simply say that we will not fight with each other in wars and not to put embargoes on each other" said Bishop O'Reilly, auxillary bishop of CR.

It would also be hard for a nation without FTL capability to place an embargo on my entire solar system.
The churches were destroyed by our military, your saying that an 80 year old captialist destroyed them now. Also, you have a theocracy, the church buildings are government buildings, that makes them targets.

I warned you not to. They had women and children in them. You also bombed convents of nuns, and monastarys.

Nope, only the churches, and other government buildings/ Military Buildings. Anyway, this has nothing to do with the money owed.

OOC: If I had it my way, I would forget about teh money, but thats not how my government works.

We will pay back 25 million, not the full 25 billion.
