For the longest time, Kilmanga has had the same old power source, nuclear,impossible to get past their own solar system. That is all about to change as they just started mineing astroids for many things they might need later.....

"sir look what Ive found!" a 1 of the miners said as he opened the chunks of rock, relvealing a quartze material that was glowing slightly, the manager of the mine was soon called up to check this out.

"whoa, break a few chuncks of that material and well get it to the boys back at KRCM, to check it, I've never seen anything like this back at home!" says the manager, excitedly(as their was a contest between the managers of the three astroid mining facilitys to see who would make the first new discovery)

"Sir, a new material has been found on one of the mining astroids codenamed 57752(to keep the religous factors from ending our space jourrney totally, if they knew they would surly shut us down as they would vote for its demise)" Okay lets see," Said the lead researcher puting on his specticles and examining the material that was sent to them and said "whoa these crystals are eminating a very strong power source,hmmmmmmmmm, and it looks like these things might be useful somehow"
2 months of research later, Kilmanga announced that this material could be used for power sources to power everything, lights, cooking things,even space ships, for they soon discovered how to unlock a greater amount of power fom this new quartze material by synthesizeing it,now kilmangains are rushing to build new mining colonies on these astroids, and get this new material.
Any feedback on this post will be apprechiated, and cant wait to be called a newbie in space flight!!!!!!!!!! :p

thepower of the crystals can last up to 1 year for a fighter as long as the fighter is near enough to a carrier,(able to get food) the carriers and destroyers will be able to operate for about 9 months without a new bunch of crystals
Depending on how this new form of power works?its power can be generated and synthesised, we just didnt know at first how stable it is? well for now its preaty stable but if u blow up the ship, big explosion, so in a way notperfectly stable,(if u light a match say hello to god for me) were tryng new ways to get a better handon it and how much space it takes up? much actually well as much as a fire place(from the Fire on up halfway up chimney) for a carrier, the fighters that we poses, take up very little room(big as a safe box).
and with this new material we should soon be able to soon make phasers(im not a trekkie by the way just sayin stuff from my head) :p and other things from scifi like stuff!!!!!!!!!!! :D

About how powerful is this new crystal element you've discovered in relation to other forms of generation like fusion, et al? Depending on how this new form of power works, how stable it is, and how much space it takes up, we might take an interest in it.

Well, fusion reactors don't react too well when blown up either. A heavily shielded core would probably be enough to keep it safe in a battle, and may even be overkill.
But a generator with this, put into a fighter, is as big as a safe box? Now that is interesting. I have some new drone fighters which could use small, efficient, and heinously unstable forms of power generation. As for my capital ships, those I'm a little more protective of.
Actually, this would be perfect for the new drone fighters I'm thinking of building - they're intended as one-use only craft that, once their weapons are exhausted or they're heavily damage, smash into ships and blow themselves up violently. Having a highly unstable reactor would forgo the need to pile on explosive charges.
We are now quite interested in this new power source - though it does need a name. We can donate a few ships to your nation to assist in the research effort if we can also have a share in developing this new source of power.

why sure!!!!!! ,if we work together im sure we can make these power crystals more abundant(were trying to keep our people from mining too much until futher research is done, to make this power more useful, but i think this is going in the right direction, soon we may have our own solar system!! if were lucky as heck and have enough energy which im sure we wont have a problem with) by the way, the name should be somthing short but work well(Garnite mayby?) though the only thing im worried about is either terrorists, or pirate nations

So have you been able to artificially re-create these crystals in a lab yet?
