The religious and militrastic peoples known only as the Margornians, were at long last given a place to call their home. After a long week of debates and comprimising, the leaders of Granzi and the Margornian people signed a treaty stating that the provinces of southeastern Kazakhstan were to be made into the land of Margorn. The following day, the approximately thirty thousand Margornians immigrated to the landmass.
The leader of Margorn and the founder of the Margornian religon is Rannos Liadon X. In his speech he suggests the independence of the land from the Granzi goverment, but that is yet to be seen. This last week has been a historical first step for the Margornian people, hopefully it is not their last one.

{OCC: Area of the accuired land is in my signature. This is not really a claim thread, it's more of a starting RP. The land that have been traded in this RP have already been confrimed early this evening.}

The entire transition had been watched over carefully by the Granzian territorial presence in Kazakhstan. Officially, the federal government's stance was to acknowledge, but not comment. Several weeks before the handover was to occur however, several orbital platforms under maintained by territorial forces had been slightly rerouted to keep the Margornians under constant surveillance. There was also the benefit of having control of the area for years, and OST Authority had taken the opportunity to insert several informers into the infrastructure. There was, reasoned the OSTA, no reason to leave a new neighbor to chance.

Then there was the press. Having foreseen the valuable opportunity this would present, certain high-ranking Conservative Party officials had appeared on regional media, lauding the projected giveaway as "a true homeland for the Margornians, something we Granzians are very proud to be a part of." It was also during that time period in that a bill was presented before the local legislature. Titled the "Territorial Defense Initiative," its supporters called for a territorial militia, a defensive measure to better augment federal forces stationed in Kazakhstan. With approval rating for the ruling Conservatives at an all time high, the measure passed easily in both houses.

By the time, the actual handover took place; the mechanics of greater forces had already been set in motion.
