OoC: I am fully aware that someone has already claimed these islands but I cannot find any RP stating that he did so. I also TG'ed him a week ago but haven't gotten a response yet. If he does turn up he can oppose my plans but if he doesn't then I guess its tough luck for him.

Admiral Ulas spoke as he used his laser pointer to single out a group of islands. These islands seem like a very good place to build our new naval installations. It will give us full access to the Caribbean and a thorn in the side of the many communist countries using the gulf of Mexico for their shipping. The Emperor sat on his throne, carefully listening to all his advisors and military staff. Thank you admiral, your comments have been noted. Rift nodded politely to the admiral who bowed slightly and sat down.

He closed his hands and eyes, deep into thoughts, lost to the people standing just a few yards away. When he finally opened his eyes he let out a long sigh. Begin preparations, do it in utmost secrecy and should anyone find out. We cancel the mission. Is that understood gentlemen? He peered deep into the eyes of his military advisors who replied with a unified Yes my Lord before they saluted and went back to Tallarn to begin the planning for the military part of the operation.

Hello this is Miranda Marcs and you’re watching DNS! Where here twenty four hours a day, 7 days a week to keep you updated of the latest news in both Dumpsterdam and the world.

First up is the unrest in the Dutch Antilles where large riots have broken out once news got out that a organisation called "Spread the Red" has been secretly funding the Antillen FOL party in order to keep it in office as main party. The Emperor is dispatching a peace force to restore order on all islands but the main attention is going out to Aruba, Bonaire and Curacao while favouring Saba, St. Eustasius and St. Maarten with less troops.

The screen shifts to a picture of the Caribbean.
Several taskforces of the DRN southern fleet have been dispatched along with two divisions of the DAF to restore order as soon as possible seeing as how the oil from this region is important to several sectors of the Dumpsterdanian economy.


Tallarn Naval Station
Meanwhile a whole array of ships are being loaded with the 70.000 men and
equipment that are needed for the "liberation" of the islands. No one could have known that the situation created on the islands was the doing of the Empire's propaganda machine. Making it look like the ruling party was being funded by communists and that the Dumpsterdanian troops would only be there to restore the order.

OoC: Realy nobody that wants to oppose me? Shaaaame....

A multitude of reporters are present as second councillor Alfarius Damocales appears on stage. Immediately he is barraged with questions about the upcoming operation, he quietly picks out a female reporter from Credonia to stand up and speak.
She readies her recording equipment when he points at her. Councillor it is said that the entire operation is a hoax by the Emperor and the council to gain access to a Caribbean base, is this true?

Alfarius replied with a calm voice. None of this is true, the Empire only wishes to restore order in the island group.

He pointed out a male reporter, his jacket showing him to be from the nation of Sharina. Sources tell us that the Dumpsterdanian government has been bribing people to stir the population of the Dutch Antilles. It is widely known that the Empire wishes a Caribbean base and this seems to convenient.

Alfarius once again replied calmly.
As I stated before, the Empire of Dumpsterdam has done no such things. We are moving peacekeeping troops onto the islands to secure the population and its oil supply.

Alfarius took a sip of water, clearing his throat for the next reporter. He signalled for a man of the DNS to stand and speak.
Uhm, yes...hold on. He rummaged a bit with his equipment before continuing. Okay, you claim to be moving peace keeping forces into the area but how does that require over 50.000 men and over 3 battle groups to do so?

Alfarius twitched for a millisecond.
Those numbers are grossly overestimated, we are dispatching no more then 30.000 men and few smaller frigate groups.

He looked at his watch and turned to the reporters again. No more questions for today, sorry folks. As he made his way up the steps to the Imperial palace, the reporters in vain trying to ask another few questions before he disappeared behind the doors of the palace.

We are a colonial based Empire and require Lebensraum. We are more than willing to challenge you for the Dutch Antilles.

The Emperor had reflected upon the situation for only a few moments before replying:

"Prepare our offense divisions. Get the navy and airforce moving now."

With that Alpha Legion I, II began to load up and make their move towards Neoma. Each legion comprised of the following:

600 Nightmare Mach II Fighters
300 Nightmare Bombers
300 Stealth Heavy Bombers

25 Legionnaire Class Heavy Battleships
80 Imperial Destroyers
50 Imperial Cruisers
240 Silver Lupinas (extremely fast lightly armored and small underwater vessels that zoom around naval vessels like piranaha attempting to bring them down)


Each legion also contains enough transport based ships, aircraft carriers and general repair ships to carry 100,000 soldiers in each.

I must protest, we are only here to maintain the peace in this very fragile political setting. Please do not interfere since you could ruin the peace that has been established.

OoC: I was actualy looking for someone willing to RP the national guard of the Dutch Antilles. Since the islands are so small they cannot even support agriculture it is very unpractical to further colonize them.

That is a risk we are more than willing to take. Our legions are nearing their location and are prepared to strike at a moments notice. We are soon to strike at the island of Sint Eustatius. We will use full force to take control of that island before moving to take the rest of the Dutch Antilles.

OoC: I was actualy looking for someone willing to RP the national guard of the Dutch Antilles. Since the islands are so small they cannot even support agriculture it is very unpractical to further colonize them.

OOC: Well we intended for a war over the colonies. We just want land for several reasons.

We have decided to divide the Dutch Antilles between our two nations. We have taken control of the islands of Curcao, Saba and Sint Eustatius. We will now combine our forces to campaign for the rest of the carribean.

OOC: Should we do the invasion of the carribean in a different thread?

OoC: The islands do not have a standing army, except for reservists for the national guard. So there will not be that much opposition.

Captain Sithdonian approached the desk, holding a data slate in his hand. Grand Admiral Ulas, the current report for operation HAMMERFALL is here. Ulas reached over to pick up the slate as this captain put it on the desk and left the office with a swift salute.
Ulas smiled to himself, all was going according to plan with the entire operation and the propaganda machine of the Empire was preparing their part in this invasion. If all went according to plan there would be no one to stop them.

As he read the report ships where already moving in troops to the islands, there would be no one to stop them.

OoC: Yes we should, but this is for HP's thread so I need to show some propper RP otherwise my claims will be ignored.

OOC: Are we going to battle for the islands or should I just RP taking the islands I want as part of an alliance?

OoC: We've agreed on the splitting of the islands, you have to RP taking them though.

Alpha Legions I and II were recently joined by Sigma Legion IV. Each legion had been given strict instructions as to which island they would take control of.

Alpha Legion I's Naval Brigade moved towards Curcao and moved to quaratine the island for several miles around it leaving it cut off from any other force that might come its way. Meanwhile, the Nightmare bombers proceeded to randomly carpet bomb the island to make sure any form of potential resistance was thoroughly making the path clear for the redevelopment of the island for the Empire.
Troops, tanks and armoured Hummers were seen being unloaded at the makeshift ports and airports of the island. Moving through they quickly secured all signs of life and areas of potential developmental importance.

Alpha Legion II repeated this process at Saba and Sigma Legion IV at Sint Eustatius. Soon commercial flights would begin and businesses would be contracted to make the islands tourist capitals.

Hello, I'm Miranda Marcs and your watching DNS, keeping you up to date with news from all over the world and Dumpsterdam itself.

First off are the peacekeeping troops in the Dutch Antilles who have been joined by several legions of the Drum Gods Empire. Emperor Rift has let it be known that all major resistance has been quelled and a governor will be appointed for the Dumpsterdanian occupied islands of St Maarten, Aruba and Bonaire. DAF troops will be staying for on the islands for as "undecided" amount of time.

The Imperial eagle appears again, before dissapearing into a commerical for the DAF.

Aruba, WillemStad.

5th councillor Erik Solar paced up the Antillian parliment building, around him an escort of naval stormtroopers. The building was mildly scarred with bulletholes and cracks, sandbags piled up infront of the doors to form some kind of protection.
Erik stepped forward and looked around as there was no one to be seen. He spoke fluid Dutch. Governeur General GoedGedrag, ik kom van mijn heer om uw overgave te accepteren. Verder verzet is zinloos. His aide quickly translated it for the stormtroopers. Governor General GoedGedrag, I come from my Lord to accept your surrender. Further resistance is futile.

The grand doors to the building where pushed open and a man in his fourties apeared on the steps, flanked by two casualy armed men of the national guard. We can speak english here Solar, you can have our surrender in face of this military might we are looking at right now. We have already contacted the other islands and the goverments of Aruba, Bonaire and St.Maarten have surrenderd. The leaders of Curacao, Saba and St.Eustatius have let it be know that they will fight the Drum Gods Empire till their last breath.

Erik solar walked up the stairs. Then let it be known that the Imperial eagle flies over Aruba. The former governor signed heavily. And into the darkness are we brought.
