History
The Nation of Pyta has been around in some form for several hundered years, but only within the past 100 years has it become a prosperous nation. in 1913, the country was controlled by nomadic natives. A prophecy handed down by the god of fire and destruction, Kae'leael. It spoke of a time in the future where he would visit them, riding the waves on a massive steed that snorted darkness, Mortiis. As it often happens with such prophecies, it was misinterpreted. The god on a steed belching darkness was a ship of a particularly aggressive imperialistic nation. Upon arrival, the captain of the ship had all of the population executed while the King of the Natives, Korin Tir, was tied to a board and forced to watch as his subjects were killed. The captain of the ship, who is known only as "Betrayal", was responsible for the 'modernization' of the Island now known as Pyta.
It is unknown why the Island was called Pyta, although it is believed that it was the real name of Betrayal. Nevertheless, the Island was taken note of for its immense natural resources, with massive uranium mines, and natural fuel resources. Betrayal and his men colonized it in the name of their mother country, Shazzra. The land was raped and made barren by the strip mining operations, and the profits of the sales were shipped back to Shazzra. The Pytan colonists were mistreated by the aristocracy, including Betrayal.
The colonists grew upset with this long-distance dictator, and began to dissent. They rallied behind the idea of the natives who were wiped out, using their image to promote propaganda. The colonists became a united force behind these ideals, as taxes were growing, the aristocracy was getting richer, and the poor were getting poorer.
One man in the resistance, Claude Ren, was a tactical genious, and secretly began to formulate plans for war. He worked for months on secret plans with some of his most trusted comrades, and launched the first attack of the Pytan Revolution. They hid in some crates that were to be shipped back to Shazzra on a Superfreighter, were loaded onto the freighter, and in the middle of the night, lept out and killed the crew.
The Three men, Ren and his close friends Marcus Doncaster and Farrel Leous, drove the ship, laden with war armaments, back to Pyta. From the bow of the freighter, he gave a speech that all of Pyta heard, it was a call to arms, arms he had brought.
Overnight, Pyta declared itself a sovereign nation and killed all the aristocratic nobles from Shazzra currently stationed there. Shazzra retaliated in turn, by sending its elite tank units and 3rd Nuclear Naval Armada to subjugate the nation. Using weapons from the superfreighter, Pytan rebels fought the tank divisions in a losing battle, they were better equipped, better trained, and there were more of them. Until Ren acted again.
Sneaking out on a zodiac, Ren took a small team of rebels out to the 3rd armada. Under the cover of night, they snuck onto the boat and fought against the Shazzrans, they fought their way to the bridge, where Ren fired the ships nuclear missles off. He targeted all but one of the missles at Shazzra, the last was set to explode in the shipboard silo. As he launched them, Ren walked outside to find his entire team killed on the deck of the ship, an elite guard of 50 highly trained soldiers pointing guns at him, some barrels still smoking. Ren dropped his weapon, held his hands in the air, and said, "Kael'leael guides my blade."
The missles had been launched, and the final one exploded, its concussive force causing all of the 3rd armada to buckle and sink.
