I believe that the time has come for tarrifs to be enforced. All nations need industry and money, and it is clear that some countries have more or less then others. However if we all bunch together and make ourselves into a big block of economically linked countries, then we can gain the necessary munitary rewards.

I propose that states band together in support of this policy and so increase their economic activity. If you wish to be part of it sign up here. The more the better.

Tariffs can cause problems. E.g. a country charging tariffs on raw materials will mean its manufacturing businesses have to pay more for the raw materials, and hence have to charge more for the manufactured goods produced using the tariffed raw materials. This will make it harder to shift goods in foreign markets, as other manufactured goods produced using cheaper materials will be cheaper to the abroad consumers.

Also, you said tariffs need to be enforced, but then talked about banding together for economic interests. Such banding together would surely be for free trade, and hence lead to decreasing tariffs.
