Support terrorists? I believe that you have the wrong end of the stick, metaphorically speaking of course. As previously stated, SHADOW is an anti-terrorist SF, and its operatives require investment in excess of $500,000 each. They are highly trained and effective, but how can they remain among the best if they cannot counter the latest threats, such as hijackings in the air, or dirty bombs? The best way to learn is from the terrorists themselves! If these skills can be perfected by anti-terrorists, then new methods of countering these threats can be devised, and shared among people who require them. In fact, in training simulations, SHADOW could be used to stand in for a terrorist organisation, able to accurately simulate what would most likely happen

However I do see your point in causing damage to civil populations as a result of this war on terror. Therefore, effective immediately, Snake Eaters is withdrawing many of its forces, and bombadments of civil and military targets will cease. Once the peace talks have concluded we must insist on an immediate withdrawl of all military personnel. Today marks the completion of paddy terrorists first ever democratic election. The republican party headed by Interim Vice Chairman Collins won the election in a landslide victory that took the senate by storm. The republican candidates recieved a majority of votes and shall retain 98% of the 100 seats available in the senate. Vice Chairman collins has now assumed the role of Chairman and Commander in chief.


In other the news the election process was marred today by a suicide bombing in the capital-the explosion occured a 3pm outside the dublin polling station. The paddy terrorists embassy in the nation of snake eaters was today the target of a brutal suicide attack. At around 9am this morning,as the diplomats and their counter parts from snake eaters were engaged in trade talks, a van laden with explosives crashed through the security barrier and was detonated. The subsequent explosion wreaked havoc throughout the compound. A death toll has not yet been released but figures are expected to be high. When the truck exploded, the small bank building behind
the embassy collapsed onto the chancery's emergency generator, spilling thousands of gallons of diesel fuel into the basement of the embassy.The diesel fuel ignited and smoke and fire were billowing throughout the embassy. As injured and confused people were running out of the chancery screaming and choking, the Marines were running into the building looking for survivors. With no thought for their own lives, having no idea what else may happen, or whether or not the shattered structure would cave in on them, the Marines immediately reacted and began a sweep of the building.


The splinter terrorists organisation "SHAMROCK" thought to be headed by the disposed dictator Jerry Adams has claimed responsibilty for the tragic attack.

In a statement released by Chairman Collins today, the goverment vowed to bring the tyrant and his organisation to justice.

Earlier today, the security measures implementeted following SHAMROCK's attacks upon the nations soil reaped a reward. A small explosive device was found clamped to the undercarriage of an 777 passenger jet. The device was set up in such a way that upon the undercarriage retracting, the bomb would detonate, tearing the heart out of the jet, and most likely igniting the fuel tanks, resulting in many deaths. However, once the device was discovered, the Bomb Disposal Team from the nearby Royal Lancers base came and safely disarmed it. The jet then flew safely to Dublin, escorted by Saab Gripen fighters until its final approach.
In related news, a number of SHAMROCK operatives were apprehended as they attempted to leave the airport dressed as regular civilians. Luckily, they had been recognised as they passed through customs, and police Armed Response teams were on the scene within moments. Currently, the police has not issued a statement, but it is believed that the four men, who have not yet been named, are being held in solitary confinement.

The night was relitively dark, and as Private Carl Thomas led his section down the Paddy Terrorists street, he felt safe. His M203 felt good in his hands, and he had around 300 rounds of 5.56 ammunition, as well as 10 40mm grenades for the 203 launcher slung underneath his M16A3. Through his NVG's, he could make out the checkpoint 300 metres down the road, manned by fellow Royal Green Jacket's. Behind him, his patrol was spread out, the I/C behind him and the first support gunner, carrying a M249 SAW and the patrol radio, behind him. One other man made up Alpha fireteam, and then Bravo followed behind.
Off to his left, he spotted a furtive movement. He raised his hand, causing the patrol to halt. He went down on one knee, and then looked across the buildings. It as one that had been burnt out during the conflict, and was scheduled for demolition later that month. Snake Eater construction teams were due to redevelop the area. Suddenly, as if from nowhere, he saw small flash, and heard rounds chip the wall behind him.
"CONTACT!" he screamed, running forward, towards the enemy, then getting to ground. He followed the SOP's (standard operating procedures) and uleashed a full magazine, as well as the grenade he had in the breach. By now, the whole patrol was firing, and the noise was tremendous. He watched his grenade sail through the air, and land beautifully through a window. A billow of flame spouted out, and he grinned
Brad Jenkins, the sections sniper, was using his SVD to pick out targets. He counted 1, 2, 3 ... Holy S**T! Nearly 30 men in the building. An RPG burst close by, and the I/C began calling out orders to advance or to give cover fire. John Heard, the unit's second M249 gunner, was shooting steadily, aiming at the building.
All the noise had obviously attracted some attention, and by now a Predator Destructor had turned up, to subdue the rebels. Its autocannons began firing, taking massive chunks out of the masonry of the building. Young Private Thomas was now at the building, and hugged the wall. Following a quick radio call, the tank ceased fire, and the section swept the building. Another section had joined them, and for the next few hours, until it was nearly daylight, they fought from room to room. An RPG burst managed to damage the tank enough to force it to withdraw, but by now a frontline Leman Russ battle tank had joined the infantry. By the time the hellish scene was over, many of the terrorists were either captured or killed. It was overwhelming how much damge had been done, but Snake Eaters had sent a powerful message to Jerry Adams. It wouldn't back down, no matter what they threw at it

The tank commander failed to notice several figures,crouched low running along the rooftops, As he called back to confirm that the market had been secured.

Kneeling down one of the men on the rooftops brought his RPG sights to bear on the impressive hulk that was the tank. His hands were shaking as he knew that he only had one shot. an indirect hit would alert and barely damage the tank, within seconds it would retaliate slaughtering him and his comrades.

He depressed the trigger, a plume of flame erupted from the rear of the launcher and the RPG screamed towards its target.
It smashed into the turret releasing a deadly cloud of sharpnel that engulfed the entire street at once.

A thick cloud of oily smoke billowed from the now open turret hatch. The crew clambered out dazed and confused, coughing and wheezing.

As they stood up, the men on the roof tops knew what they had to do.

The rattle of Ak47,s echoed across the city as the crew were cut down beside their now disabled vehicle.

The men dispersed as quickly as they had appeared-The struggle for the city had begun

Early this morning the combined special forces team consisting of elements from paddy terrorists spec ops teams and SNAKE EATERS Kilo team (SHADOW), began an offensive in the wicklow mountains just south of The capital DUBLIN. The objectives of the offensive have not yet been released but analysts believe a suspect SHAMROCK training camp was the target.

This operation is believed to be the first of its kind in which spec ops teams from paddy terrorists and SNAKE EATERS have conducted a joint operation against the SHAMROCK organisation.

It was a cold and misty morning in the war-plagued city of cork, an eerie yet tense feeling surrounding the people and its surroundings. However from one of the various commercial buildings lay two men on a mission, strangely peeking out of the window on the opposing peacekeeping forces. After thoroughly scanning them through the mist with their binoculars, the terrorist cells knew their time had come to awaken and wreak havoc upon the occupation forces. In saying so, one of the men then left the window momentarily, before appearing a few minutes later carrying what appeared to be a SR-25. This seemingly was rather strange considering the sniper rifle was indeed a rarity within the hands of the public, as it was certain Special Forces were still using it today.
----Few minutes later---

The moments that followed involved one of the men aiming it at what appeared to be the peacekeepers by their clothing, and the other had the binoculars whilst appearing to issue orders as he scanned the small patrol.

"Zoom 25...15 to the left 10 up target b......."

As he did this, the man with the sniper slightly adjusted the zoom as he moved the sniper as instructed to accommodate from any movement of the soldier. After finding the target beneath the mist he proceeded to fire the gas-operated sniper rifle, sending a metal projectile zooming towards the soldier’s head.

After the initial attack the man holding the binoculars then shouted a few more instructions, as it appeared the men below were becoming in disarray and were taking cover, or firing the occasional burst of projectile fire.

"Ok tank a....23 right 13 up.."

As this was said the sniper-man proceeded to acknowledge the advice, and when the tank gunner opened his hatch to investigate, the man fired yet another projectile aiming for another victim.

Finally as the fighting drew to an end the two men withdrew within two the comfort of their own homes, waiting to see the damage they had caused.

A black van begins passing the checkpoint, eventually being stopped by the security manning the area. Upon being approached the van simply detonated in what appeared to be C-4 explosives, due to the size of the explosion that engulfed the checkpoint. The huge blast sent bits of metal and debris all into buildings and most likely civilians alike. This was indeed war, but this time from a unknown enemy.

Field Marshall Helsing held up his hand, " Gentleman, calm down. Now, it is true that we have lost men. And that is truly a tragedy. The Green Jackets and their armour support have taken the first hits from this unknown threat, but I believe I speak for all of us when I say that it is unlikely to be the last."
At his gesture, a slim, pale man emerged from the door, carrying a case in his hands. He handed it to the Field Marshall, who opened it and removed what was inside, a number of documents and a single brass case.
"Take a look at this James," He said, passing him the documents and the case, " We found the case in a building near the first shootings. It's an SR-25 round, you know that weapon?"
James nodded silently, glancing briefly across the documents. His eyebrows raised quickly, then he looked at Helsing across the table, " This proves who the terrorists are. These b*****ds arent going to get away with this."

SHADOW had thrown a cordon around the whole area. Snipers armed with H&K MSG90-A1's surrounded the area. Teams Alpha, Bravo, Delta and Echo had been designated as the target teams, and they silently moved from building to building, clearing each one and silencing the occupents. eventually, only one building remained. The vehicle had been traced to here, as had the 'owner' of the weapon that killed the young corporal that morning. Colonel Cougar led the assault, and as they stormed the building, flashbangs going off as they entered, their H&K MP5SD's phut phutting as they fired. The terrorists had been caught, but number had holed up in the celler, armed with AK-47's. This was obviously a terrorist stronghold, as a cache of weapons was found, including the offending SR-25, a number of RPG's and various other explosives, including a batch of C-4.

After the initial success of capturing the two marksman, the Crusaders deemed this to be an act of war and an increase in violence was most likely to follow suit.

It was just approaching late hours of the day, and hence indeed the silence of night would soon become the start of the shadow warfare.

Waiting for the opportunity to strike stood a rather large group of a dozen or so, their intentions clear by their positions on the rooftop, armed with the unusual updated Javelin missile launchers. To avoid detection of course they stood along various rooftops and balconies, camouflaged in dark black clothing making them all but invisible from the naked eye. And although they were seriously out manned and outgunned, they would still provide a punch to the enemy forces.

Finally after the initial wait the sound of tank tracks and enemy movements were heard upon the ground, prompting a pre-emptive strike from the insurgents resulting in several dozens of missiles to reign down on the enemy. This tactic although chaotic and un-coordinated aiming, it was still almost certain that it caused mayhem upon the peacekeepers ranks and eventually lead to a battle. (We can rp a short battle.)

During the recent attacks another statement was made from a local radio stations.

"Fight on comrades.....Turn the battlefield into a hail of blood and guts of the enemy...They will not win and I call for other groups..Mainly Shamrock to aid our cause to drive the invaders.......Now let us win the fight together.."


Shortly after the statement a scene erupted in Killamey, involving the detonation of various car bombs across the checkpoints of the town. It is not yet known how many have been killed, but it will most likely install fear once again unto the invaders.

OOC: A short battle. lets start now...

IC: In the early hours of the morning, the Predator tank convoy moved through Cork. The locals had been warned about the convoy, as it was a ploy to draw out more terrorists. The crews of these tanks had volunteered for this mission, and the ranks included that of Commander Adama, a highly decorated tank commander. The convoy consisted of a number of Predator tanks and Razorback transports. The tanks toted 120mm main guns, along with two .50 Heavy Machine Guns and a recently developed short range heat weapon that was commonly refeered to as a melta cannon. The transports all contained units of the Royal Green Jackets, the force that had taken casultites in the first wave of terror attacks, and were armed with Lascannons, powerful laser weapons with enough power to break up entire buildings.
As they approched the devastated industrial district, a rocket flew from a balcony, and struck the second Predator in the side. A smoking hole was there, but the tank, even though immbolised, rotated its main gun, and fired the first shell, lighting up the balcony, and eliminating the first threat. By now, rockets were flying from multiple directions, and the tanks swivelled and fired. By now the units had disgorged from the Razorback, moving towards the buildings under the tanks covering fire. They did not know what to expect...

News is just coming in from the Paddy Terrorists, where armed rebel groups are again making attacks on Snake Eater Forces. A few moments ago, a number of explosions were heard in the town of Killamey, where Black Watch units are staged. So far, 3 men are confirmed dead and 5 are injured. Lord Barbarossa had this to say:
"These attacks are an outrage. We are merely attempting to restore peace and stability to the region, and were on the verge of withdrawing many of our troops from the area and allowing Paddy Terrorists to take over their duties. All these people are doing is punishing the innocents in this conflict. We will not allow ourselves to be beaten, but I shall not waste human life to capture a few disgruntled citizens."

The Javelin missile impacted upon the thick armoured hide of the Land Raider, detonating between the armour plates. Thick black smoke poured form the tank, but with it's cannons still active, its machine spirit poured fire into the building from which the strike had come. When the troops checked the building, they found only the charred remains of a human body.
General Adama stepped down from his tank, surveying the scene. Well, casulties werent to high he thought. So a new war had begun, one not of true open warfare, but gureilla instead. Perfect. Now Snake Eaters could truly let its special forces truly go to work

After several minutes of pondering they strode towards a local police station, their eyes transfixed on the area around. Upon entering one of the military personal positioned their began to speak in a rather commanding tone, his M-16 cocked and ready to fire in case of conflicts.

"State your prescense hear sir......"

They simply smirked slighty before appearing to detonate themselves within the station centre, causing debris and a large plum of smoke to erupt upon the building. However the chaos would indeed continue as the explosion also seemed to trigger many chain-reactions across the building, causing many more explosives to go off, the bombs recently planted by the insurgents during the operation.

Today in the unstable Country of Paddy terrorists, several fresh attacks have been reported by the new insurgent group known by Crusaders.

The recently liberated country of Paddy Terrorists is once again uder threat from terrorists, namely the recently surfaced Crusaders, who have engaged Snake Eater forces across the region. Some members of our armed forces ahve wounded or killed, and it for this reason that Lord Barborossa has petitioned to Chairmen Collins of the Paddy Terrorist government to allow full-scale military operations to begin to route out these rebels. Also in his parlimental address, Lord Barbarossa urged the nation of Webombu to take up arms against the terrorists. Already, SHADOW special forces have captured a number of terror suspects, who have been implicated in the initial attacks.
General Adama, fresh from leading an assault on rebel positions in the southern city of Cork, had this to say, "These rebels are well armed and devious. The Javelin missile that struck a number of our tanks is only avaliable in a number of areas throughout the region, and we are currently talking to the governments involved to see if they have had any gone missing in recent weeks"

The Draganovian Government, concernd over the matter of terriosm has sent an official request to the leader of PT to allow full scale military operations against these terriosts, we would send 5,000 soldiers and 1,000 tanks to help keep these terriosts in check.

The city of the devil continued to be patrolled by various snake-eater forces, the various bits of rubble and debris littering the city itself. Among the underground surface of the tainted streets stood the insurgents next round of assaults, coming in the shape of large arms stashes wired with several C-4 and other various explosive entrapments. So indeed the Crusaders were ready for a battle, and if the enemy tried raging a war, the infidels would no doubt suffer huge death tolls as a result.

The explosives waited anxiously, waiting to see who would be its hopeful victim. And with the huge number of explosives, it was almost certain it could defeat a rather large division of tanks and other armoured divisions.

However after minutes of waiting there time finally came as something appeared to aggravate the underground-bomb stashes, causing it to detonate with severe intensity, the ferocity of the blast causing debris of ex-buildings to propel into various directions as well as forming a huge plume of deathly black smoke above the city.

And although it is not known weather it took its desired target, it would no doubt cause havoc upon the forces nevertheless.

Seeing the explosion as an opportunity to break the overwhelming grip of the city by coalition forces, the insurgents proceeded to fire upon Northern positions with various Mortars and R.P.G attacks on enemy entrenchments along the borderline Northern districts.

Among the underground surface of the tainted streets stood the insurgents next round of assaults, coming in the shape of large arms stashes wired with several C-4 and other various explosive entrapments. So indeed the Crusaders were ready for a battle, and if the enemy tried raging a war, the infidels would no doubt suffer huge death tolls as a result.

The explosives waited anxiously, waiting to see who would be its hopeful victim. And with the huge number of explosives, it was almost certain it could defeat a rather large division of tanks and other armoured divisions.

However after minutes of waiting there time finally came as something appeared to aggravate the underground-bomb stashes, causing it to detonate with severe intensity, the ferocity of the blast causing debris of ex-buildings to propel into various directions as well as forming a huge plume of deathly black smoke above the city.

And although it is not known weather it took its desired target, it would no doubt cause havoc upon the forces nevertheless.

Seeing the explosion as an opportunity to break the overwhelming grip of the city by coalition forces, the insurgents proceeded to fire upon Northern positions with various Mortars and R.P.G attacks on enemy entrenchments along the borderline Northern districts.

Today in the country of paddy-terrorists more fighting erupted in the already war-torn country. Reggie Miller with more on the story-

"Today in the Northern part of cork, a large explosion was sounded along the central districts, causing plums of smoke to arise and envelop the city once again. When asking various soldiers what caused the blast they answered that it was the insurgents detonating various weapon stashes located in underground sites. And according to military the civilian casualties our reported in the dozens.

Soon after this engagements between allied and insurgents continued in the rebel controlled southern districts of cork, as well as other various places. And despite the unconventional methods of fighting, the new group of crusaders our rumoured to really be an elite militia trained by none other then Northern-Albania.

With the recent attacks in Cork, rebels have lauched assaults upon Snake Eater forces in the area. It is not yet clear as to the nature of this attack, but it is believed that the Crusaders are responsible. With the rash of terror attacks increasing, Lord Barbarossa has ordered the deployment of the 1st Company, 21st Artillery Regiment, equipped with AS90 150mm artilley guns, to the region in order to bombad the terrorist positions. All civilians have been evacuated from the area so that they are not caught in cross fires. It is also rumoured the SHADOW special forces have been deployed to the area to infiltrate the rebel positions and wreak havoc as they did nearly six months ago during the gurillea war against Jerry Adams and SHAMROCK.
In other news, 14 Int has today released an official press statement regrdign the situation in Paddy Terrorists, "Due to recent rebel attacks by a group known as the Crusaders, investigations were launched in their origins. This investigation is still ongoing, but we can safely say the following:

i) The Crusaders are affiliated with the terrorist group SHAMROCK, led by the disposed leader of Paddy Terrorists, in causing damages within the region.

ii) Contray to a report issued on a local news station, the rebels are not being equipped by Northen Albania as was suggested. All information on this points to the nation of The Eternal Dragons as the primary supplier of arms and equipment to the Crusader rebel forces. Investigations into this matter are being conducted by a seperate body, and therefore do not fall under the juridistiction of 14 Int.

In buisness news, ArmsTech, the primary supplier of arms to the Snake Eater forces, has begun issueing its latest development, the pulse rifle. Variants upon a similar theme are incorparated into the design ,making the weapon versitile, yet at the same time reliable. It is now being issued to Snake Eater forces worldwide
Snake Oil has proclaimed today that despite problems in the region, it has seen a 2.5% increase in profits over the last 3 months, a 20% increase over the same period last year.

Southern Districts Of Cork:

Upon hearing from intelligence that the snake-eaters were planning an aid-raid on their positions, the heavily fortified southern districts procceded to enter into the next stage of action.

The result that ensued was chaos, as many of the insurgents choose to dress as almost mirror images of civilians, their aim most likely being preserving themselves for a later date in which they reak havoc upon the enemy lines. Seeing this as an advantage, the Crusaders did allow the civilians to evacuate safetly without any harm, the hope in trying to win the properganda war, that would eventually decide the victor in this war.

The remaining insurgents who stayed made their way into various fortified bunkers, designed to help them survive the new barrage inflicted by the enemy. And despite the warnings, many civilians often stayed within the depths of their houses, whilst the majourity hiding insurgents and stashing weapons beneath their homes.

Robin stood with intense prudity upon one of the soft wooden-top tables currently present within the room, the obvious sense of authority coming from the way he spoke and moved.

"Comrades.......We shall win this fight.......May our great leader Jecht Ackbar grant us sufferage and inflict great casulties among the pathetic enemy that is snake eaters..."

A large cheer was then heard from the crowd of black-masked insurgents, an obvious sign of respect from the general. After a few moments of this sparadic clapping and cheering the general spoke once again, a sense of dignity now present within the voice.

"Even if it takes our lives this battle......Any blood-shed of the enemy is still indeed worth it....Now by the blood of Northern Albania we shall hold district even if it means death......"

A silence then followed the room as the nodded in co-opperation. Indeed this was only the start of things to come, and with this spirit,it would take more then just bombing to break the back of the insurgency.

*Special report on the country of Paddy Terrorists*

Today several car bombs have detonated in the heart of the so-called safe area in Dublin, apparently killing several members of the peace-keeping forces logistics. Crusaders have claimed responsibility for these attacks, although this has yet to be confirmed. It was said the car bombs were placed months before the operations in a recently annexed Church, although forces failed to check the graveyards as thats were the bombs were so-called located. Nevertheless it was reported that several members of the Crusader infiltrated the church and placed them within several cars dressed as civilians.

Elsewhere the operation in ridding the insurgency in Cock grew, as small arms fire was heard on the outskirts of Northern Cork, the intention obviously in targeting the patrolling forces located their.

A Chain of C-4 explosives were also detonated along the road that connects the city's of Killarney and Cork, although it was rumoured that many were diffused before they could cause major harm, the culprits also arrested.

The Int officer leant over his data, reading and re-reading it. Everything pointed to Eternal Dragons, yet his sources within the Crusaders said that Northen Albania was responsible. This was a difficult task. Many of his staff had already gone home for the evening. It would be a long night...

High above Cork, the B1-B Lancer bomber released its laser guided precision bombs onto its targets and turned for home. The rest of the flight followed suit, and soon another wave was pounding the city...

Yankee team moved slowly through the rubble left from the recent airstrikes. they systematically checked every building, finding abandoned weapons caches and dead bodies everywhere. They had already detained many rebels, allowing the Royal Green Jackets to pick them up as they advanced through the city. The Marines had been deployed on the far side to prevent rebel escape, but the SHADOW operatives held the Marines in little light.
They kept moving, engaging enemy wherever they appeared. Once, in an inspired piece of cooperation with Juliet team, they assaulted an uncovered bunker stronghold. The intel within was enough to find many of the insurgents. Names, pictures, details of future plans. Hurredily disposed of, but not good enough. Snake Eaters now held the advantage

The bombing indeed had a severe toll among the surface, scattering debris and non-evacuated civilians alike. However due to the well-fortified underground bunkers and such, many insurgents somehow withstood the attacks. As a counter-attack by the insurgents, numerous car bombs and mortar attacks sprung across the various districts of cork upon the enemy forces, mainly the marines in particular.

======Attack by land forces=======

Seeing the insurgents now cornered by opposition forces they had nothing else to do other then fight to the death. And as the marines sealed of the exit, many leaders of the insurgents tried to escape through use of civilian clothing, although their is no estimate to how many got through. Nevertheless the remaining Crusaders which remained continued to return fire will small arms and R.P.G. fire, causing continuous explosions to occur as minor battles erupted between snake-eater and allied forces. Booby traps often also occured within various buildings and Cars, as well as rigging of the various transport systems present in Cork.

However despite this valiant effort by the Crusaders, they were soon overwhelmed as many of the lesser ranked crusaders often died or were captured.

During this period, allied forces did however uncover various information about the insurgents and their operations, however the insurgents knew this and would resort through other means.
