The Fuhrer Assassinated (Who is to blame?)

On The Way to European Peace conference.

The Fuhrer just wakening inside his cabin peered out of the small circular window. The green fields of France now in view caused jollity inside him forcing him to realise that he was about to make good in this world for peace. The conference was due to start any day now, with delegates arriving from all over the world. Funny how such a little amount of men would decided the fate of billions.

The Fuhrer anticipated some resistance to his peace moves from the Sith generals and military, which as the world sadly knows is only to eager for war. Getting quickly dressed the Fuhrer made his way into the dining cabin where he would eat breakfast and discuss the present situation with his advisors.

“So gentleman, I assume we are almost there?”

“Yes Mein Fuhrer, only twenty minutes to go. Just enough time for breakfast.”
Those around the small table laughed as they began to dig into breakfast.

“So general, what about the non aggression treaty, will Hamptonshire sign?”

“We believe so, your aides have scheduled in a meeting with an Haptonian ambassador to sign the treaty.”

“Ahh good. The last thing Unified Sith needs is war.”

“Yes we agree. The current tensions in Europe are unmistakeably bad for plan Heif.”

“Yes, they are”

“Onto another topic of International importance, who won the match last night was it…….”

A resounding explosion rocked the plane as the left wing sheered off. In the cockpit an audio recording started playing giving false recording to the black box recorder. The pilot dead from internal shrapnel slumped onto the control panel as the co-pilot was trapped in the toilet.

“This is Sith One, WE ARE UNDER ATTACK I REPEAT WE ARE AHHHHHH.”

A second explosion mimicking a missile strike detonated on the rear fuselage sending the jet crashing to the ground.

I give my condolences to Unified Sith as they perpare for the rough time ahead.

where does the wreckage come down?
a quick glance over the damage will tell you exactly how the aircraft was attacked, missile tend to leave quiet different damage marks to bombs. Also the bombs would have to be inside the aircraft structure to have avoided being noticed, by the entire ground crew, control tower staff and anyone else anywhere near the aircraft (including the premier's security details), planes are not like cars you can't just stick soemthign on the underside and noone will see it...

Chellian agents have already made their way to the scene of the accident, and have begun salvaging the material to try and figure out the cause. An international news group has been there since the chellians, and been filming the crash the entire time the Chellians have been there, if nothing else but to show the chellians aren't messing with the crash unjustly.

Chellian Air Defense shows no non Chellian or Sith aircraft over France, nor any missiles violating airspace, which would have been apparent through IR and radiological radars. We had four chase aircraft behind the Unified Sith aircraft as it flew toward La Havre, and one of them began filming the plane right as the first explosion happened. We cannot determine by camera how the first happened, but the second, by what the camera showed, was defidentally an internal explosion. Eye-witnesses from the pilots say that they saw no missile strike the US plane, they certainly didn't fire any missiles, and that as far as they could tell, it was internal as well.

Chellis doesn't see why US would let their own airplane be rigged with explosions, but either way it gives its condolences. We welcome any team of US, and international teams to study the aircraft pieces, which preliminary reports have shown no indication of being hit by missiles nor bullets. The parts are being transported to La Havre, all being recorded on camera by an international news source, and being played live on international televisions.

Vastivan civilians stay glued to VNN channel 722 updates on the situation as it is most obvious the bomb in question came from Unified Sith itself, or someone working within it's confines.

Bets are being placed as to what happens next, with the overwhelming favorite being a meek embarrasment from Unified Sith, owing to the utter breakdown of security measures around the personage of its leader, which would point towards...

... well, there's another whole series of bets, wot?

OOC: pwned! A recorded voice on a black box sounds different owing to methods how things are recorded. The position of the pilot and copilot are also noted in modern black boxes - so would the internal explosion as a change in cabin pressure would be noted owing to the blast wave.

Therefore, evidence will conclusively prove this was an internal explosion and an attempt to falsify the black box recording was made.

On top of that - a bomb, having no velocity beyond that of the plane itself - leaves a blast pattern very different then a missile - which has velocity owing to the motion of the missile. This results in a very different pattern of destruction, of markings on the plane, of wreckage... I could go on and on and on about the forensics of the matter, but this sad attempt is already transparent.

Ergo - is that egg on your face? *snorts*

VNN Channel 722 will be most happy to be broadcasting every bit of evidence of two bombs in the Furher' plane, obviously placed there in Unified Sith, and will take great pains to point out how this is yet another sad attempt to ignite a war.
