Basically, in the Female Slavery Inc opens its doors link, the nation of Decisive Action has declared that it has committed genocide, armed a state practicing slavery (and which admitted that it conquered the island it controls to do so) with nuclear weapons, and laughs at the UN...

Now in the real world, in the 1940s, a similiarly dangerous nation known as Nazi Germany forced the creation of the UN (essentially) to rid the earth of this dangerously predatory nation and its leaders...

so how about it?

I am looking for reasonable 2005 era technology (or older), reasonable military forces based on the size of the nation involved (about 4% of the population and GDP is likely in a peacetime economy without creating economic implosion), and nations that understand the difference between godmod and roleplaying

Ooc- I have something called Intelligence Services, Spies, Informants, Moles in other gov'ts... We are very well-connected. Besides, I talked FSI out of takingm ore slaves earlier, he was going to get another territory, I talked him down. Him and I are in the process of working out a way to phase slavery out of his economy. I'm basically going to dump a load of money into his economy and he can shift the basics of his economy.

Hitler didn't force the creation of the UN anymore than Abraham Lincoln caused the civil rights movement. Why was the USSR allowed to join then? China? Plenty of genocide and human rights violations there.

Tree Dweller, read some of Roosevelts speeches from 1943 onward... the Allies were routinely referred to as the "United Nations", first meeting occured in San Francisco in 1945 while the war was still underway with Japan, and in order to join the UN (at that time), you had to declare war on the Axis (which is why some of the smaller nations didn't declare war until 1945...that and to get American aid)

Decisive Action.... by the way... I am familiar with intelligence services etc.... and that they specialize in finding out CAPABILITIES instead of INTENTIONS.... hence 911, Pearl Harbor, Barbarossa, DDAY and many other surprises in history..... Intelligence sources are much better at counting tanks than determining plans

New Shiron has about 60 million people (as of time this is posted) which means it would have an Air Force roughly the size of France or Britain or a combined East and West German Air Force about the time of the mid 1980s (Cold War builup period).... that is, roughly about 2,000 Aircraft, of which about half would be first line combat planes...

An army of about 20 divisions, and a navy of about 50 destroyers and frigates, a couple of light carriers, and a few SSNs and SSKs, plus martime patrol and ASW helicopters numbering a couple hundred total

Stalin didn't attack Germany, Hitler attacked him.... now Stalin did annex by force the Balts, and attack Finland, and seize part of Rumania.... in the greater scheme of things, not nearly as scary as Germany conquering nearly all of Europe, or Japan taking about a third of Asia...

which is why China and Stalin were on the Allied side..

Communism was viewed as by far the lesser of two evils.... Stalin was willing to wait for the world wide revolution (faith of a sort), Hitler wasn't willing to wait for anything

Not that Stalin historically wasn't the bigger mass murderer....he had a lot more time in power after all (1925 - 1952 vs Hitlers 1933 - 1945), but consider this, the Allies knew about Aushwitz (and to our eternal shame we didn't bomb the place).... we had only an inkling of the Gulag archipelogo

Hitler was demonstrably more dangerous, and given the same amount of time in power as Stalin, well... the mind boggles to consider what he had planned, what he had done, and what he would have continued to do

Italy, Germany, and Japan were never expelled, because Italy was sucked into a war by Ethiopian border incursions, and Japan had problems with Chinese terrorists on the Korean/Manchurian border. Germany was attacked by a platoon of Polish Commandos and only then did they attack Poland, about 1-3 hours after Polish Commandos attacked Germany, all the German forces massed on the Polish border were given the go-ahead to retaliate.

we are currently conducting negotiations with decisive action involving exchange of ambassadors. However, they have been extremely rude and xenophobic to our last two attempts, and while we are willing to give them one last try, if this falls through we will indicate a willingness to ally ourselves with you.

I do believe you must be acting under very mistaken notions of our relationship with Decisive Action. We have established an embassy in the Commonwealth without incident and enjoy generally good relations with the Commonwealth.

This seems somewhat... agressive, wouldn't you say? Of course our relations with them haven't gotten quite so bad yet, we were merely stating our possible interest if the situation does get out of hand.

we will drop this for now (wrong forum) but you may want to read a few more history books .... the overwhelming majority of histories conceed that the move on the radio station was a German deception, the Italians wanted revenge for a colonial humiliation the previous century, and Japan simply wanted colonies... but that isn't relevant to this forum

and the League of Nations didn't serve its purpose... hence the UN

So far now, working title of the Alliance is Malibu Treaty Alliance (where the first protocols were signed)... MTA has a good ring to it. Malibu also has good hotels, great scenary, and the ocean is nice to look at too..

The MTA is a defensive alliance, and at this time, does not have forces in the area around the crisis zone of the FSI.... until such time as other nations join us, we are forced to continue to build our alliance and maintain caution
