I'm offering a large Freedom Class aircraft carrier up for trade. I'm looking for realistic military aircraft, ground vehicles, and/or other suitable trade items in return.

I recieved this large sea vessel as part of a military aid package, however, as the nation of Tessen does not have a oceanic seaboard, there will be little use for this fine steel specimen. I'd rather see it go to a more suitable home.

Have at it. Best offer walks away with a brand new shiny Freedom Class aircraft carrier (no crew, planes, of vehicles onboard). Anyone interested? :)

This vessel normally sells for $2.1 billion USD. A trade involving this vessel is a significant deal. As we have a small military, off-loading this carrier would be beneficial.

Sarctic is in need of naval forces to replace some losses. We can trade with almost anything you have need of, but just let it be known we mostly use Russian weapons.

Tell us what you'll need and we'll trade it.

As we do not currently have industry resources diverted yet towards military vehicles, military planes, helicopters, and/or bombers would be of most use. Russian-designs are acceptable.

Also, of interest would be three of your polar bears for inclusion within our elitest of high-quality zoos. We would be willing to offer a few of our nationally protected animal -- the badger in return.

In that case, I can offer 15 MiG 29 "Fulcrums", 15 Su-25T "Frogfoot" Fighter/Bombers, 10 Mirage F1's, 30 AXL-8, Scout vehicles (Equivalent to Bradley's), 10 MBTs (Main battle tanks, just various kinds). Also included would be 18 Mi-24 Assault Hind Helicopters. Any amount of polar bears you would like would be acceptable, as we have millions of the cute bears in our country.

Now, besides this deal, we could help jumpstart some military programs in your country, or create a defense contract in which Sarctic would design military equipment to a unique Tessen identity....

Excellent! Consider the carrier for those listed vehicles and a few polar bears a done deal. We are happy with this agreement.

A skeleton crew will set forth shortly with the unnamed aircraft carrier, and should arrive in your nearest port within the alotted ETA between our two nations (give or take a few days for travel through the North American Great Lakes). I assume transportation of the crew -- upon it's arrival -- back to Tessen can be arranged?

In regards to your other offers, we are most interested. As we are only a few months into the process of rebuilding our military after years of having none, your offer of aid in developing additional military programs within Tessen would be wonderful. What do you have in mind? :)

And as for a defense contract, I think that would be favored among the senate as well. We have been provided -- through a regional trade deal -- with standard infantry (personnel) arms and equipment, however, there is currently very little of a unique Tessen identity (other than our uniforms) in terms of overall military. What unique defense contract options have you to offer? :)

However...

I did recieve two carriers in the original aid, and had opted to keep one. But, I am interested in your offer as well, and, for perhaps a little more than just the 15 F22 Raptors and 50,000 troops, I may part with my second carrier as well. Match Sarctic's offer, and my second carrier is yours. ;)

Tdas has mastered the superconductor in recent times.

We are now able to super conduct electricity at temps up to 42 degrees (metric)

We are the most advanced nation on earth when it comes to superconductors and have thus far kept the technology to our selves.

Superconductors are a medium used to transmit electricity meaning that you will be able to transmit power across your nation with zero power loss meaning less power has to be generated. You could also build magnalev trains which are the fastest trains known to man. Super conductors also have uses in computing technology with your computers being able to reach unbelievable clock speed without need for any cooling device!

Superconductors. Very tempting.

Unfortuantely, not really something we're in the market of have a need for at the moment. But, you can be certain when we are, you're the nation we'll be bringing our trade inquries to! ;)

We actually already have a contracted supplier of personnel weapons for the military. We'll give some thought though to the vehicles though. Up the offer a bit perhaps (outside of personnel weapons) and we might be closer to a mutual deal. ;)

Tdas also has rather large stockpiles of biological weapons which were produced for us by the russians while we were part of the soviet union. We broke apart from the soviet union just before they started getting rid of their biological weapons programme. Hence Tdas is the world leader in bio weapon technology. We also have large stockpile of napalm which we bought from america shortly after vietnam.

Hmm. Another excellent marketable trade offer. Unfortunately, once again, we are presented with a moral dilemma. We have no WMD's, and being a peace-loving nation, don't really have much need for them.

Tdas is currently developing a international premptive missle strike prevention system. The aim of the project is to intercept missles before they make it into our region. We would be glad to set up a base in your country and impliment this system once it is developed.

Most impressive program!

Tessen has a primitive system like this already in place -- currently located at our Maitland Airforce and Marine Base just outside the capital city of Milwaukee. It is in place and part of the United States anti-missile program, which helps to defend both the Tessen capital, as well as the United States capital city of Chicago. Both cities are located within 100 miles of each other.

And also we will send you our 20,000 men strong emergency aid team during your your trouble seasons to ensure not one life is lost.

The crew will be of course returned by plane to their home country.

As for a defense contract and a help with a military program, Sarctic is indeed very set to help. To help understand what we mean by some of these terms, I'll elaborate,

When we say a unique identity, we mean that all of the weapons designed would look unique to your nation, and fitted to its symbols and tendencies. A good example is the American military, which you can identify by their weapons. This is the program Sarctic would like to help start in your country, besides a military build up, which would include slight boosts in recruitment, training programs, arms manufacture and organization of your military.

Infantry Programs

These programs could be deployed over a number of years. Your own people could help develop their weapons and munitions, but if you like, Sarctic personnel could do that role as well. A number of our military would come to train your militaries first few ranks, and then the training could be taken by Tessen commanders. Crack, hardened Sarctic Special Operational Troops (SOO), our elite commando forces, would also train special Tessen soldiers for the commando role.

Airforce Programs

Sarctic provides itself in having a very elite and efficient airforce, and these programs would seek to provide this to your own nation. Our own top airforce instructors would come and train the few generations of airforce pilots, and then which Tessen's could take over the training. Almost all of the aircraft provided to you before would be provided again, in training versions, which would allow your pilots some experience with flight before they get into real combat. Not only would fighter corps be trained, by bomber corps, airlifter corps, intelligence corps, helicopter corps and gunship corps.

Naval Programs

A Tessen navy, like the other programs, would start with Sarctic officers and sailors training a Tessen navy, in which then Tessen officers would train their own sailors. A number of older ships would be provided for training. After the first year of training, sailors and their officers alike would be welcome to train with Sarctic in fleet excerises. Now, I'm positive you said you've had navy experience before, so the training in this program would only apply to what was still lacking.

"Lake" Program

Sarctic has always been on innovation in the soldiers, so besides the standard Army, Navy and Airforce that would be trained and developed, a mobile, naval invasion force would be trained as well. These could akin to standard Marines, but the landscape of the Great Lakes differs from most seas, so special training woul be applied to those who joined this division of the armed forces.

Construction

Along with this training and provision, facilities would be contrsucted to house the military and to train it. Again, here either Tessen or Sarctic personnel could fit to this task.



Now, you'd think we'd ask for an outrageous price for this? Well, we're not. The only things we really ask for are:

*ability to build a base in your country (Not used for war against Tessen, but just as a precautionary measure against some of Sarctics rivals)

* A small amount of money, amounting to 10 Million USD

* friendship, trade and prosperity with Sarctic

Unfortunately, we already have effective military recruitment and training programs in effect for the Army, the Air Force, the Navy within the nation of Tessen -- courtesy of the McLeodian Empire begun six (NS) months ago.

However, we would be very interested in a military contract that would focus primarily upon the Marines and outfitting and training them as an elite defensive and -- if needed -- offensive force. This contract would apply specifically to this experienced Marine department of our Tessen Military. We have a regional supplier who, as the result of a trade agreement, already supplies all the personnel weaponry we have need of. Additional contracts for other military non-weapons equipment are available however.


In return for training our Marine Forces, Sarctic will be granted land for a Army/Marine base in the central part of our country. Please provide us with the desired name of this army base and -- if approved -- we will note it within our World Fact Book. (In the name of peace, we do, however, reserve the right to cap the number of Sarctic troops stationed within this base at any one time. But it will be a reasonable number to the satisfaction of both our commands.)

We will also provide you the sum of $10 million USD as soon as we have a set military budget within Tessen. (we currently have no governmental military funding, but legislation is very near approval).

Sarctic has decided to accept this generous offer. As soon as possible, our military experts will fly to your country and begin the Marine programs. Also, along with these advisors, we'll send 100 engineers and about 500 infantry to being in the base. The decided name for the base will be Tamb Base.

OOC: I’m just said that a Sep. 2004 nation doesn't have biological weapons (A Sep. 2004 nation is to little. Need to be 100 million or higher) & any type of WMDs (A Sep. 2004 nation is to little. One question, How do you have the vaccines? You need biological weapons to get them.

Although it is important to note that we do have biological weapons which I fully explained, we got them when we were part of the soviet union.

There are other ways to get vaccines such as buying them from other countries.

You will note that I avoided taking an interest in WMD's for that reason. I do not believe that I have broken any code in NS by assuming Tdas could claim his nation had a prior history and thus limiting effects of that history. Heck, I've given my nation (Tessen) historical references dating back to the RL American Revolution (1770's).

I would certainly hope Tdas does not decide to attempt to godmod with that right to a previous history, and it could be concievable that he does have limited supply from a Soviet regime. Clearly, however, he has very little to be a threat to the world becasue of it.

If you asked, I'm sure he'd be willing -- in good faith -- to offer you the vaccines to his limited Soviet supply of biological agents as well.

And as to his size, yes, 7 million is small in terms of NS, but, 7 million is also just under the size of the population within New York City. 7 million can indeed house a thriving enough economic status to reflect an intelligent population.

I respect your concerns, Wolf America, and hardly wish to either godmod or break any codes within the NS game, but you can't always be so literal. He was creative, yet, I felt, realistic in his offers.... (other than the superconductors maybe... lol). And as far as 7 million being able to have an aircraft carrier. Well, yes, he now has one. That's his issue now. Yes it costs millions to maintain, but I can only assume he is aware of that, and plans to make such maintenance worthwhile.

I trust Tdas is aware of things and intends to play fairly. Give him the benefit of the doubt. If he tries something outright n00bish, then we can nitpick his choices. Until then, he still appears to be within the borders of fairplay within the NS universe.
