Imperial Airways Looks to buy a Large Airline!

Imperial Airways has long been second to ViZionair. Imperial Airways has just replaced it's previous CEO with John Lance. John Lance has been working on improving Imperial Airways. However, he feels that alone cannot put Imperial Airways into the number one spot in ViZion. Imperial Airways is looking to buy a major quality airline, in plans to take the number one spot from ViZionair, and gain ground on large foreign carriers.
Please reply here so that we may talk.
We are offering $450 million, but that is negotiable.
Thank you,
John Lance, CEO
OOC: I highlighted the negotiable part since some people didn't seem to realize that that means 45 million is not the set price...
EDIT: Alright, fine, I changed it. But, plz note, negotiable still.

The airline is not large but large enough to service are nation with daily non-stops to are allies in the International Fleet. The several nations in the fleet are big time tourist and fly everywhere.
The recent lifting of restrictions for travel have opened our nation up to the tourist and business class flyer. We are therefore willing to sell half of Anton-Air as long as purchaser picks up airport lease fee's which are negoable for a term of twenty-years,also negoalbe.
The fleet of 10 planes with 5 more in the building process would be availalbe immediatly upon singing of deal. This would be a great deal for all nations involved and could be the start of fruitful realtions.
We patiently await your reply, Minister.A,Jaster

John Lance, after meeting with his board of directors, has officially rejected this offer. Imperial Airways is looking for a larger airline, and wishes to purchase a whole airline, not part of one. We look forward to seeing your airline grow and opening up talks in the future again.
We thank-you for your intrest and do hope to talk again in the future

TII Airway is the second largest airline company in The Irish Isle, behind the juggernaut EmeraldAir, the subsidiary company of K&K Enterprises, Inc. EmeraldAir has at its disposal the full assets of K&K Enterprises (The Largest Company in The Irish Isle with more than 500 billion dollar revenues in its collective markets) and therefore we have great difficulty competing with them. Although we are a large and very profitable airline dealing in both passenger and parcel transportation, we can not match the funds pumped out by K&K. Our fleet consists of 1,000 747, 240 Airbus A380 and 100 767’s and 7E7’s. Our annual revenue is just over 10 billion dollars and we have grown by 25% for the last three years running. We fly to more than 10 different countries including, but not limited to, Macisikan, The Irish Isle, Tritony, ETC. A merger with an airline of your size would prove to be very profitable for both parties and we would be very interested in pursuing a merger agreement with your company.

It sounds as if our two airlines are in the very similar position against our larger competitor. ViZionair is extremely profitable, and has full access to multiple different large corporations, including ViZion World Corp, ViZion's largest company.
We, too, would be very interested in this merger. Our question to you is, how will the front office and name of the company be settled?

As the plane pulled up to Imperial Airways private runway, Mr. John Lance, CFO Rich Carlson, COO Joe Lamons and President Charley Bilons waited along side IAW's limousine.
As B.T. Bailey and John C. Spalding stepped out, Mr. Lance stepped forward to shake their hands, "Hello, Mr. Bailey and Mr. Spalding. I am Mr. Lance." he said. Then, jesturing towards the others, "This is Mr. Carlson, Mr. Lamons, and Mr. Bilons. We are all very excited to have you here." He said, and the others stepped forward to say hello and shake hands.
"Please," He said, then jecturing to the limo, "let us go, and begin our talks."

As the black Cadillac began to drive off, the six men sat around in the luxurious cabin of the limousine.
"Yes," said Rich Carlson, the CFO, "our bottom line, though very profitable as it is, is not where we want it." "The fact is, both of our companies are pretty much unable to compete and beat our larger competition. They are access to so much that we just don't, or if we do, the prices we have to pay make it hard for us to compete." says Mr. Lance, "I must agree, the only way we can beat these guys are by joining together. Only then we can take them on and be a serious threat to them.
"Now, TII stands for The Irish Isle, am I correct? We should speak to our marketing division, they might be able to come up with a new name that would combine our two companies names. Names, as you well know, are a very large part of getting customers."
"I am currently in the process of setting up a deal with A&S Corp., an airplane and space manufacture that competes with Boeing and Airbus. It is a relatively small company compared to them, but they build planes that use less gas, fly longer, and are safer. They may be willing to give us large discounts if we are willing to become a A&S-only airline." Charley Bilons says, excitedly. "They are based in ViZion, which would give us an edge over going with foreign companies. If there's another excellent airplane manufacture in the Isles, we might be able to get them into a bidding war, thus lowering the prices even more for us."

"An excellent idea. The only commercial airline producer is owned by K&K Enterprises, Inc. (Our arch Rival). This A&S Corp. seems to be more than adiquate. Plus, we've never been very fond of Airbus...As for the name, as you said, a name is very improtant in selling the product and although a combination of the names would be most agreeable, if need be, a new name excluding our name our both may be suitable, in order to stay attractive and competitive." "Now, ViZionair, if you have not seen, is stepping up advertisements and offerings. Offerings that we don't match yet. What are we to do about this?" asks Mr. Lance, holding up a whole-page ad from a magazine (http://forums2.jolt.co.uk/showthread.php?t=368439) "They are stiffening up the competition, making it tougher for us."

silence....then "didn't you say something about upgrading our fleets, possibly a contract with some company in Imported_ViZion? We can use this to our advantage. Emphasize that we fly "the newest fleet" or "the safest fleet" something along those lines. We need to set up some sort of rewards program based on returning customers, gain their loyalty of you like. I also think that it would relivant to attempt to set up a deal with several hotel chains, possibly restorts or cruis lines, try and broker some sort of promotion, say "fly with Imperial-Isles Airways, save X% on your next visit to X Hotel, or on your next X Cruise, or at your next X resort."

'Flying the safest planes avaliable' we shall tell our customers. And, ya, we do need to offer a rewards program. We have a milage program, but it is not very good, and it has a setup fee. We need to have a whole new milage... rewards program."
