After the outlawing of Capitalism in Ratheia several previously rich executives were not content with living like the common people. They had hoarded money and had betrayed the people. After knowing that the RCI (Ratheian Center of Investigation) had discovered them they attempted to assasinate the President and elect a more "capitalist" leader so as to be rich once more.

They summarily hired a hitman to snipe out the President and only luck saved President Zaitsev. Zaitsev tripped on a curb and the bullet missed him by a few inches, killing the Secret Serviceman behind him. The sniper attempted to hide himself in the building where he was but summarily fell from the window as he was fired upon by Secret Servicemen.

It took a short time to ink this attack to those fat, pompous enemies of the people, and the president ordered them to be executed by firing squad.
One would have the fate of being beheaded with a butter knife.

President Zaitsev was inclined toward leniency, but after hearing of the brutal acts of places such as doomingsland against the Communists he decided that execution was proper.

The United States of Shalrirorchia will not tolerate this vulgar and sadistic abuse of human rights, nor will it ignore a threat to the free market system. The U.S.S. demands that Ratheia release those individuals who had nothing to do with the attempt on President Zaitsev's life, and assurances that Shalrirorchian private investments in the country will not be tampered with by the socialist government there. The United States threatens to withdraw those assets if either of these demands are not met (this would be a bad thing for the economy, probably).

The rain drizzled softly as the 10 fat capitalists were marched into a field. The execution was to be public, and many had shown up to watch. Not to mention the many news crews. President Zaitsev had decided that killing one with a butter knife was a tad bit cruel, so he had ordered them all to be killed by AN-94's. He had decided that he would do the executions himself, and so he did.

Stepping into the field, flanked by armed guards at every side President Zaitsev strode into the field, an AN-94 in one hand. He casually strode about 100 meters from the men and aimed his weapon. One of the men turned to run, but he was riddled with bullet holes as soon as he twitched. The snipers at the rooftops had done well.

He aimed at the man to the far left and fired. The bullets flew through the air and 2 bullet impacted his skull, leaving him very dead. President Zaitsev smirked and aimed his weapon at the next man.

He was soaked by now, as were they all, but he did not care. He aimed and fired once more, splattering the brains of the next man onto the ground. He repeated this wonderful process until only one man remained. He wanted to end this ceremoney with a bang, literally. A small grenade launcher was outfitted on the bottom of the AN-94 and it was fully loaded. He aimed the weapon at the last man's left kneecap and fired, blowing it away. The man howled in agony and fell to the ground where another bullet shattered his second kneecap. Immobilized and suffering the President felt a shred of pity. He chuckled and shrugged it away.

He aimed and fired the grenade and it landed right in front of the dying man. He glanced at it, momentarily dumbfounded when it exploded with a loud bang, vaporizing him and most of the already dead Capitalists. The president signalled to his men and they escorted him to his vehicle where he drove off to his Presidential Palace.

It had been an excellent demonstration, he thought. He noticed the hush of the foregin news crews when suddenly a great cheer went up from the assembled Ratheians. He waved to them and chuckled before driving out of sight.

President Tarumigan Gistarai paled visibly as he read the reports of what had happened in Ratheia, then set the papers gingerly down on his desk.

"How DARE they." the President hissed, his fist clenching with palpable rage. It crushed the paper cup on his desk holding his coffee, and the hot liquid spurted over his exposed hand. Gistarai swore and shook the injured digit...he'd have a hell of a blister by tomorrow, knowing his luck.

The Secretary of State didn't reply. They had already discussed this possiblity before. There was nothing more to say, save for Shalrirorchia's reaction to this...atrocity. The President of the mighty U.S.S. reclined in his chair, feeling helpless. He'd been unable to save those men's lives, and he took it PERSONALLY.

"Roberts. I want you to proceed with our economic plan, as discussed." Gistarai eventually muttered, steel glinting in his voice.

"Aye sir." the Department chief replied.

The President considered what would happen next. With the executions of those men, Ratheia had marked itself. Within 24 hours Shalrirorchian investments would be yanked abruptly from Ratheian markets. At the same time, the U.S.S. would be using its' considerable economic and political leverage to isolate Ratheia, hopefully causing a decrease in exports from the smaller communist nation.

It was Shalcoria's (the capital of Shalrirorchia) hope that the sudden withdraw of U.S. monies, combined with a steep decline in Ratheia's exports, would implode the Ratheian economy, cause widespread resentment, and culminate in the overthrow of President Zaitsev. The U.S.S. was large enough and wealthy enough to manipulate the economy like this....but it had never DONE so before. Ratheia would be the test case as Shalrirorchia experimented and saw whether or not it could destroy enemies with bonds instead of bullets.

The Sub-Lieutenant delivered a crisp salute to the Local Directorature appointed Judge, accepted the written order, and departed. Within fifteen minutes he was arriving at the offending collective on the sprawling ex-capital's periphery, he and five comrades cycling in formation with as many arms as their vehicles and their own little frames could transport.

President Zaitsev sat in his viewing room listening to other national leaders and reading their telegrams. He had more than a few on his side, the opposition were obviously the so-called "righteous" who thought they had to intervene everywhere. Just like that goddamned America. He sighed in a rather comical manner. It was obvious that with his 300 or so T-60S Bombers he could cause much pain and take little losses. However, Ratheia was not yet ready for war, no. Hataria was nothing, though.

He didn't see what was the big deal about death by firing squad. He always preferred it over getting shocked to death or being injected with poison. It would seem that diplomacy would be his best choice, that and a few Tsar Bombs. He chuckled and gave a little poke to his Tsar Bomb scale model on his desk.

His eyes flickered to another message that had just come in, promising a fleet in exchange for a promise to not do "that' again. He decided to return the message. He glanced at his viewing screen and transmitted this message.

He chuckled and snapped his fingers. The message was sent and he leaned back in his comfortable chair and smiled.

Josh lights another cigarette, pulls, and then coughs hardly, doubling himself over. "Ah..excuse me. I should really quit. We shall attempt to run through the blockade of your nation. We can probably only bring small things, such as foodstuffs and other nescessities to your nation, since your success at getting through the blockade is largely dependant on stealth. Inform me of your needs. If you need ammunition or bombs yourself, I shall have to trade for them, but I'm certain we can arrange for something."

"Yes, the Phoenix Protectorate is looking to buy weapons for it's citizens, mostly assault rifles. However, we seek in no way to jepoardize your position as of now. If you need the rifles for your own army, so be it. If you have a surplus, tell us what we may trade for them."

Years ago in Omicron Alpha, it was a crime to have communist beliefs. Anything that could potentially hamper profits was to be considered a threat to society and placed into a corporate labour prison. This law was never revoked, rather, overlooked in favour of the civil rights movement a few years ago.

On hearing the news of an act of pure, barbaric heresy in Ratheia, the representatives of Omicron Alpha Government Inc. unanimously decided to contract Alpha Police Inc to once again begin enforcing this law. Any and all people who have demonstrated even slightly communist beliefs or practices in Omicron Alpha are being arrested and being charged with 'conspiracy to disrupt profits'. They will be held for an indefinite amount of time, and there is currently a conference to decide whether or not execution should be used if similar reports are received in future.

Omicron Alpha also issued a highly classified message to Ratheia earlier today.

The two Akula-II SSN's approached the USS Morningstar. That happened while the four Oscar-II SSGN's surfaced infront of the Shalrirorchian fleet. It was a distraction. The Akula's armed their torpedos and targetted the Independance Class CV(N?)'s underbelly. One of the Oscar-II's sent a transmission demanding they be allowed to pass. The rest of the Halladi fleet caught up and did likewise.

Though, unfortunately, a direct exchange of embassies into our capitol city is impossible, an embassy in one of the two other cities of the Principalities would be very welcome. I will send data files on the two cities and locations of several passes throughout Principality land that will allow you to traverse the mountain ranges that cover the land. Mar Anglo is located on the Western Coast of the small island-continent that the Principality is located on, and is one of only three actual Industrialite cities in the colony. The rest of the continent is covered mountainious terrian.

Mar Anglo itself occupies a coastal flood plain that, it is believed, was spared from mountainy occupation due to being a salt-marsh in the distant past. Now, it closely resembles the ancient Phonecian city of Tyre, the coastal plain it is on even has the same basic shape as the island on which that ancient city was set. Though it has all the amenities of a modern nation (OoC: Modern refering to a 2030-ish time period. The colony itself is post-modern, but the military is modern), it has a definitive classical air about it.

The massive dock facilities that are the most impressive feature of the city are rated at able to handle all buy the largest classes of ships. One mayor in the past boasted that the docks would only require a small amount of modification to handle a Doujin Class Dreadnought. Though they appear to be mere wood and rope constructions, this is a facade put in place to maintain the rustic demonaire of the city. Massive amounts of trade passes through these docks and the attached bazaar facilities.

The main government buildings are located only a couple blocks away in what looks to be a reconstruction of the Pharos from ancient Alexandria. However, instead of having a bonfire on the top, it is instead crowned by the world's largest diamond, or so it would appear. Though the diamond is synthetic, it maintains all the qualities of its natural companions, and many of the world's greatest jewelers would have many troubles trying to distinguish it from a real diamond. This structure serves to fulfill all the municipal functions needed in Mar Anglo.

Mar Saxi, jewel of the Republic and most beautiful city in the sector

Though the Earth colony is generally cut off from the rest of the Republic, both politically and technologically, a thriving tourest industry existed at one point between the Principality and the rest of the Republic, made soley of people coming to see this most beautiful of cities.

Mar Saxi is an idealised city, made of gleaming towers and blue skies. The tallest building in the Principality is located here, the Imperial Tower, and serves as the center of the city's government. Reaching a gigantic height of a mile and half into the air, it is topped by the most advanced technology in the Principality; a weather control center. Through this facility, the Principality retains clear weather in its cities and through its passes, and rugged, impassable weather throughout the rest of the colony, mainly blizzard-like conditions spread throughout the mountains that make it up.

The Imperial Tower is made of a shining white, marble-like substance, and its steeply sloping sides culminate in the sapphire blue of the Weather Control Center. From the side of one of the mountains surrounding Mar Saxi, the Imperial Tower resembles grand scepter thrust above myriad other towers crowned in a beautiful jewel. For, indeed, Mar Saxi is surrounded on all sides by mountains. It is centrally located in the Western part of the colony, opposite Mar Brito, the capitol.

With all the vehicle traffic having been moved into the air by the use of flying civilian vehicles, the resulting clear streets of Mar Saxi are lined with plant life and the entire of Mar Saxi's system of wide-boulevards resembles an idealistic park, surrounded by towering monolithes of classical beauty.

Squiglinia's senate decided yesterday to support economically all nations declaring war on the Ratheian Communist States. An embargo is placed upon all trade between Squiglinia and Communist and Socialist Nations, effective immediatly considering the wrongful execution of Capitalist rebels, and the large part of other Socialist and Communist nations supporting the incident.

Military support may be provided if neccesary for defence, or if Ratheia continues the persecution of Capitalists.

The following message has been transmitted from Cralgin in the Turnignomipasian Republic to Ratheia using an almost direct beam.

OOC- I am back!

The U.S.S. Morningstar was an Independence-Class supercarrier, a veritable bastion of defenses. While other nations the size of Shalrirorchia tended to concentrate on the numbers game, the United States of Shalrirorchia opted to build bigger and better. Morningstar carried a full complement of 150 aircraft, and some of the best technology at the U.S.S.'s command.

Nevertheless, the Halladian submarines somehow managed to infiltrate her escort screen and open fire with a heavy attack of torpedoes. The carrier could not hope to dodge...it was far too slow and far too large. But it DID have other options available to it.

Multiple TD-15 Harpoons on pivot mounts swiveled to meet the oncoming attack. The Harpoon was an advanced anti-torpedo torpedo system designed to defend the Morningstar from attack under the waves. The Harpoons carried far smaller warheads than the incoming torpedoes fired by the Akulas...but large explosions were not required. All that was needed was a solid hit to destroy torpedoes, not warships.

The automatic defense system, AI-named Lurker, did not require the permission of its' masters to defend the U.S.S. Morningstar. It ripple-fired the Harpoons in rapid succession, targeting each incoming torpedo and assigning priority based on the closest threat.. and the massive carrier beat to battle-stations.

The Harpoons did as they had been designed to do, intercepting the incoming warheads one by one. Although striking a missile with a missile is always difficult, the carrier had fired enough weapons to have triple redundancy on each incoming torpedo.

Despite this precaution, two torpedoes succeeded in penetrating the defense screen. They were, unfortunately, running side by side on parallel courses. Lurker had not been programmed to contend with two different threats that had the same threat priority (due to their physical proximity to each other). As a result, it petulantly went into reset-mode and refused to engage either torpedo. Both hit the Morningstar.

The first torpedo struck amidships, penetrating the armor on the starboard side. Because it hit at the junction of two compartments, a lot more of the carrier began to flood than might have otherwise been the case. The second torpedo struck 60 yards aft of the first, sending a gout of flame and surf skyward. This hit disabled one of the Morningstar's lift elevators, preventing her from using it to raise airplanes from the hangar deck to the flight deck.

Thundering explosions sounded across the task force, and the carrier began to list to starboard immediately. The Shalrirorchians reacted as if World War Three had commenced, opening fire on both the surfaced and the submerged submarines with torpedoes, missiles, and various caliber guns ranging from 4-inch to 18-inch in an orgy of high-tech firepower. One destroyer veered hard to port and, unwittingly, into a collision course with the diplomatic ship from the Gnomish Republics.

What they lacked in organization they made up for in quantity...the Shalrirorchians fired more weapons in half an hour than the entire fleet had used in training exercises for the past five years. They completely ignored the fleet of CL, drifting off station as they chased and tried to destroy every one of the attacking Halladian vessels, correctly assuming it had been Hallad that had fired on them.

The Lightning Star is aiming its missiles at Halladian cities as well. The third fighter group, all Aurora aircraft, has been deployed to the battle to knock out enemy ships. As of now, however, TLS will NOT deploy any men except for those few aready in the blockade.

With the attack on the Halladi navy begining, the 3rd Red Fleet beagn to commence fire on every nval vessel flaying the flag of Shalrirorchia. The 25 Silencer Class Submarine's began to launch tarpedos relentlessly at the the carriers who were preping aircraft for launch. As this was all going on, the might Vermillion made Iowa Class Battleships began to launch shell after shell into the sides of the Shalrirorchia naval vessels.

Admiral Cob Dufour- I want my fleet to destroy every Shalrirorchianvessel in these waters. I also want those god damn planes in the air to begin launching attacks on the carriers who are almost ready to launch aircraft. I will not loose this naval battle and return to CL humiliated. We will win this battle to move on to Euroslavia where we are really needed!

Transmissions began to go out to the 20 F-35 Joint Strike Fighter's circleing in the sky. Their mission was to shoot anything that looks like it may put the 3rd Red Fleet in danger

Communist Louisiana declairs war on Shalrirorchia

OCC: I dont know how much I will be able to get on for the next 48 hours b/c I am on a hunting trip. I will try to post something tomorrow. IF I dont please wait until Sunday afternoon or night.

The U.S.S. fleet immediately executed a sharp port turn, disengaging from the immediate battlefield in order to regroup. The AEGIS cruisers opened fire on the incoming aircraft with the potent Hawkeye SAM (surface to air missile). Nevertheless, multiple missile managed to get through the defense grids...the MILSTARS combat system linking the fleet crashed, causing the U.S.S. fleet to lose coordination. Three missiles impacted the U.S.S. Morningstar, one inflicting major damage on the bridge and wounding Admiral McClellan. Aircraft prepping for launch on the flight deck exploded into massive fireballs, killing valuable air crew members who scrambled to escape. Within 10 minutes the Morningstar was ablaze from bow to stern, completely useless for launching or recovering aircraft.

The frigate Cacus was the next victim, catching two CL torpedoes in her starboard side. One blast penetrated her forward magazine, touching off an explosion that ripped the frigate apart in an orgy of destruction. Only twelve of Cacus' crew survived to be retrieved by the U.S.S. Unity Star. The USS Ward was also badly hit, and later sank.

Several more casualties followed. The USS Warrior was hit astern by a torpedo, then battered by 16-inch shells from the Iowa-class battleships. Burning and adrift, her crew could barely evacuate in time to watch her plunge into the sea, taking an alarming number of Shalrirorchian sailors with her. The USS Centurion collided with the USS Carthage...tearing a substantial portion of Carthage's bow away in the process and balancing it like some odd hat on the foredeck. The Eagle's Talon took multiple hits, including one which almost flooded an entire compartment, and was unable to launch her aircraft to defend herself.

The remaining warships reformed, then executed a nautical maneuver known as "crossing the T"...a throwback to Lord Admiral Nelson from the days of wooden sailing ships. McClellan's fleet, though bloodied and burning, would now turn to face its' tormentors. The battleship Repulse led the way, followed closely by her sister ship the Avenger. The Shalrirorchians crossed the center of the CL formation (hence, crossing the T), and only then opened fire. Surrounded by Louisiana's warships, the U.S.S. Navy could fire all guns as rapidly as possible on all sides. The air thundered to the echo of 18, 12, 8, and 6-inch guns. The surviving U.S.S. destroyers used their superb maneuverability to weave around the larger Shalrirorchian battleships for cover while firing heavy anti-capital ship torpedoes while the surviving frigates discharged a smoke screen to block line-of-sight to the carriers and permit the burning Morningstar and Eagle's Talon to have an opportunity to escape.

The United States of Shalrirorchia declares war on Ratheia, Communist Louisiana, and Hallad for the attack on the 1st Fleet.

The U.S.S., though not a U.N. member itself, addressed the Security Council in-session today through Secretary of Defense Beregovoy, whose plane was diverted in mid-flight from Hallad.

"We did not fire the first shot. But we WILL sure as hell fire the last!" Beregovoy thundered at the podium, causing a general uproar among the delegates.

As fire starting commenceing on the 3rd Fleet, the battleships began to arange in battlemode. The pride of the 3rd Fleets Battleships (10 Leviathon Class Trimaran Battleship's) positioned their guns on the Shalrirorchian ships and began fireing relentlessly into the postions where the ships were. All around the smell of smoke and the sound of naval artillary shells exploiding filled the area. The Leviathon Class Battleships were soon joined by another 10 Tidal Class Battleship's who once again began to fire into the enemy ships trying to flee.

As the aircraft began to take fire, the 14 F-35 Joint Strike Fighter's left in the air began to fire round after round into the deck of the Shalrirorchian Aircraft carrier. They flew down and drops their load giving the bombs enough momentum to probably fly through the flight deck and exploid within the ships compartments. They then pulled their noses up very quickly and retreated doing this attack fashion on all ships they could until they were low on weaponry.

BUT, we will NOT declare war on the communists, yet. We shall wait and see how this turns out. Tell me, how large is the army now?"

"40,000,000 sir. 30,000,000 of them are conscripts with only 3-4 weeks of training, but the other 10,000,000 are all crack soldiers, each trained for 5 months. We also have hundreds of thousands of tanks and a hundred-thousand airplanes. Of course, feeding and arming this army, as well as building Project Moonlight, has caused us to spend 7 Trillion dollars, and the nation is falling into chaos."

The Captin flips through the envelope and grabs one of the papers which seems to have an assortment of random numbers throughout the page. He looks back down at his laptop then begins to type the pages text into the computers program. The first mate disappears behind him carrying the envelope back with him. The Captin looks at the other two (SLBM's) Los Angeles Class Submarines then smiles. He grabs the latch and pulls it down as the submarine begins to submerge again beneath the waves

OOC: You do realize that the Los Angeles class is a SSN Hunter/Killer sub and not a SSBN missile sub. There is no way a Los Angeles can launch SLBM's, it has no missile deck, missile tubes, missile targeting computers and is simply not large enough to hold any SLBMs. Only Ohio or Typhoon class SSBN's can hold the load-out you describe.

Zaitsev chuckled and transmitted another message.

And then, another message to his allies.

And for his last message, he would send to the blockaders.

"Please leave and disband or we will commence the destruction of your blockade. We ask of you to stop."

The Shalrirorchian response came somewhat abruptly as the Shadow and the Arkady, unnoticed until this point, opened fire with every single torpedo tube at their command, sending a fusillade of lethal weapons streaking into the heart of the CL formations. The subs then executed evasive maneuvers while they frantically reloaded the tubes, this time with Harpoon anti-capital ship missiles.

The Repulse and the Avenger were advanced, state-of-the-art warships. But even they could not hold the line against so many enemies. The Repulse took multiple hits, caught fire, and began fleeing at maximum speed. The Avenger fought on until every single one of her turrets was knocked out and the superstructure was riddled before following suit. The entire U.S.S. formation broke apart then, each ship trying to escape with a different course vector.

The USS Eagle's Talon took multiple bombs through the flight deck that exploded amongst the parked aircraft. Secondary explosions rippled through the warship, and soon the steel was glowing red like a furnace as the raging inferno belowdecks spread. The destruction hampered counterflooding operations when generators overheated and exploded, cutting electrical power to as much as a third of the carrier. At 4'o'clock in the afternoon, with evacuations proceeding apace, the carrier rolled over and went to the bottom.

USS Morningstar, the flagship, was in danger of going down as well. Unlike the ill-fated Eagle's Talon, Morningstar was carrying nuclear weapons. Admiral McClellan briefly considered using a tactical nuke to destroy the CL fleet, but worried that doing so would touch off a nuclear war involving ICBMS between the two warring nations. He had been unable to get his aircraft off the deck during the entire exchange...and the communists had the temerity to suggest SHALRIRORCHIA had started it! How dare they. As the Morningstar left the immediate battlefield, she rejoined with the AEGIS detachment.

6 ships sunk, and several thousand Shalrirorchian sailors had been killed in the action. The remainders fled east, back towards the Shalrirorchian continent of Morningstar (the namesake of the carrier), and the security of the burgeoning fleet groups there. The U.S.S. had lost the battle, but seethed with rage. The communists would be hearing from Freedom's Advocate quite soon.

The United States of Shalrirorchia issues orders calling for the largest military mobilization in U.S.S. history. The regular army of 1,000,000 men will be supplemented by 4 more armies of the same size, maxing out Shalrirorchia's immediate reserves and bringing her total immediate forces up to 5 million troops. Most of these troops are concentrated in the Shalrirorchian homeland of Morningstar and the neighboring "mini continent" of the Arkady and Polaris islands.

The Shalrirorchian Navy is recalling the First Fleet to form the Combined Fleet. The Combined Fleet includes multiple fleets, and historically has never lost a battle.

In a move to show goodwill, the Lightning Star has decided to ally itself with the Ratheians. While the nation still despises communism, we believe that this blockade is an infrigment on a nations right to rule itself. "President" Almasy has been imprisoned, and the congress has decreed that Ratheia be allowed to rule itself. We are willing to donate $25 billion in aid(that may seem small, but we have just begun to recover from the massive waste of money on our military). 7 million of our remaining 10 million soldiers are available to defend your nation, and we have begun preparations to target our missiles at the U.S.S. The third fleet(consisting of 27 frigates, 13 cruisers, 4 battleships and 1 aircraft carrier.) has been sent to help CL break the blockade. We are also willing to give Ratheia over 300,000 Type 89 Assault Rifles.

The forces are flying in 400 of the nations transport Airships(dont even START with me), and expect to take at most 15% casualties during the crossing. However, these ships will be crossing at the same time the fleet arrives, and we will NOT refrain from using WMD's if it is needed to defend the integrety of Ratheia. All of our missiles(40,000 in all, 2,000 nuclear and 10,000 chemical or Biological) have been pointed at U.S.S.'s cities. We are also making preparations to initiate Operation Moonlight, which was initated by the former dictator Siefer Almasy. While we hope that we need not initiate these measures, we will NEVER let Ratheia fall to the imperialist hordes that stand at her doorstep. Victory or defeat, we will NOT back down from our duty as a great power to defend the weak and oppose the oppresing, barbaric hordes that threaten the will of the people.

We respect your right to have your own ideas and you may despise Communism all you like. However, we are duly grateful for what you are doing but ask that you keep at least some of your army at home. Some 35 C-17 Globemaster III's began to taxi and take off from various airbases throughout the Carribean Islands under CL control. On board was the much needed food and other supplies for the people of Ratheia

We have a group of C-17 Globemaster III cargo planes in route to your nation with food, mediceans, and other supplies. We have pretty much destroyed a majority of the blockade on your nation and the Cargo ships will be in your ports in less then a day. They also have food and other supplies that your nation would find very useful.

We are making our plea to The International and they are showing great support for your nation and my own. A majority of them are considering to become involved in this conflict. I also would like to invite you to possibly join. It will take your about 48 hours at most to be voted in. If you are interested please get back with me. The United States of Shalrirorchia assembles a nuclear submarine force to harry the supply lines:

The orders of the submarines are to avoid enemy warships off the coast of Ratheia and sink the merchant and transport ships with Harpoon antiship missiles and torpedoes.

U.S. Central Command has announced today that it has realigned twenty-five percent of Shalrirorchia's nuclear arsenal to targets with the Lightning Star in reaction to that country's annoucement of the same.

"The Lightning Star's anti-democratic policies have clearly led to a minor psychosis on the part of that nation's leadership." announced Deputy Defense Secretary Paul Donovan at a press conference today in the capital of Shalcoria. "Nuclear weapons are political weapons, not to be used in modern warfare. Nevertheless, U.S. Central Command has increased satellite surveillance of the Lightning Star. In the event of a WMD deployment, Shalrirorchia is prepared to respond within five minutes of the actual event." Donovan said. "And of course, that means deployment of U.S.S. ICBMS from mainland Shalrirorchia as well as the facilities located in the Polaris Islands."

The Defense Department has refused all commentary as to who the target is in the next Defense Force actions, saying only that "Shalrirorchia was going to take the offensive, and soon". Judging from reports of submarine activity off the Ratheian coast, it seems logical to assume that U.S.S. forces will be deployed to that country to overthrow the communist regime currently in power. "Zaitsev," one senior State Department official commented, "is near the top of our target list, to be sure."

The U.S.S., despite the unprovoked attack on its' ships by Hallad's subs, brings itself to offer a conference in Shalcoria to that nation. This invitation is open only to Hallad.

Satillite images as well as great intelligence has shown us an increase of submarine traffic leaving ports in Shalrirorchia.

We have reason to believe it is to stop cargo shipments as well as re-enforce another naval blockade on your nation. We would like to send the following anti-submarine aircraft to help combat the problum that may occur:

The Republic is disappointed by the actions on both sides of this conflict. On the capitalist side by their warmongering and wish to dictate the internal policies of other nations, and on the communist side by not attempting to negotiate this.

The military forces of the Republic are more than sufficient to end this conflict by destroying the forces of both sides, we wouldn't like to do that, but if this does not come to an end, it might happen.

We request that leaders from both sides meet in our capitol to discuss this and end further loss of life.

A further note, any launch of WMDs by either side will result in the immediate destruction of the offending nation and all of their assets. Do not force us to do this.

We, for one, are a DEMOCRATIC nation! Such acusations insult our nation of 666 million Patriots!(Quite a coinkydink, eh? 666? :D) Second of all, we shall stop at NOTHING to ensure the continued freedom of Ratheia. Our army consists of over 12 million men now, and our 7 million are MORE than enough! You may think that your big and scary nuclear weapons may scare us, but remember one thing, we are NOT alone! We thank ye for trying to solve this problem, but meetings of this sort usually end in failure and even MORE strife! Seeing how we are NOT Communist, but we are allied with them, we do not fit into any of your categories anyhow. If there ever IS a meeting, we wont make any military moves during it, but we are always going to keep our men at 100% alertness until the end of the conflict is brought about. Consider us a branch of Ratheia, and when they stop fighting, so do we UNLESS our or Ratheias National Integrety(sp?) is endangered.

The two Akula-II SSN's approached the USS Morningstar. That happened while the four Oscar-II SSGN's surfaced infront of the Shalrirorchian fleet. It was a distraction. The Akula's armed their torpedos and targetted the Independance Class CV(N?)'s underbelly. One of the Oscar-II's sent a transmission demanding they be allowed to pass. The rest of the Halladi fleet caught up and did likewise.

Don't worry. You're not the only one who made a mistake. Apparently when Hallad fired on my carrier he didn't REALLY fire on my carrier. But I interpreted the pose as Hallad having fired.

Thats correct. You DID NOT read well enough and you opened fire first. I did what I did to protect my allies. I would happily kill more of your sailors in the case.
