And so it began...

In the previous four months, tensions between the UCSB (United Communist-Socialist Bloc) and the rest of the politicians (Democrats, Republicans, etc) grew to its highest point in Euroslavic History. Recently, there have been many protests of the current democratic government, from Communist supporters and people sympathetic to its cause. The Elite Guards (Highest Ranked Police Officers) have recently began to arrest leaders of the Communist Party due to the sharp rise in revolutions across the world. It was as if another event, similar to the American Red Scare was bound to happen, and the Communist Party didn't like it. They began to protest the wrongful arrest of leaders promoting communism in Euroslavia, to somehow, decapitate the Party, but in effect, the party grew stronger, and became more united. Recently, the Socialist Party, which has a better representation in government, formed a coalition/bloc within the government, and merged their parties. It was widely suspected that this would happen, but we deemed unlikely by the Empress due to the reputation of the Communist Party within the nation.

After the Union between the two parties, Their representation in government began to grow. They also began initiating programs to teach the nation about the truths of communism and socialism, and how exactly it would be an inprovement to convert the democratic goverment to either of these. The knowledge of these things among the populous began to spread. The USCB made sure to teach the failures of the Communist Regimes in the Former Soviet Union, China, Vietnam, and North Korea, to differentiate what would occur in Euroslavia, in case a revolution did occur. All that was left is for a charismatic leader among the USCB Party to come forth...

That was taken care of when Patrick Maloney stepped forward as the outgoing, charismatic, and optimistic leader of the USCB. His goal was well-known, even among the current government, and the Empress, for a Communist Revolution to take place. Even a few of the Generals became sympathetic to the cause, including the leading General, Celes Erzebet. Her hard-line stance on government gave her an open-mind on the future of the government.

One month ago, a USCB Party meeting took place, getting up to 10 million leaders, and even citizens to attend. This is where everything began. The Empress sent in the Elite Guard to stop this meeting, after about 6 hours. Protests began after approximately 4 hours, to call upon the Empress to step down as leader, and form a Communist Regime, but of course, it was denied. She sent in the Elite Guard to stop these protests, though they were peaceful, and a clash, that was inevitable, happened, leading to the Elite Guard to fire upon innocent protestors. The Empress specifically demanded that not one of the protestors be fired upon, but that was ignored when protestors began throwing rocks at them and telling them to go home. Overall, 67 people were killed and 163 injured. These murders not only shocked the nation, but news would eventually reach the rest of the world. More governments would become sympathetic to this movement, and would send aid to the USCB.

Intelligence Reports show that the USCB was forming its own people's army, which was named the Red Army, ironically. It consisted of many volunteers among the population of Euroslavia, and of Communist Armies from other Communist nations supporting this movement, although, it was unknown exactly what nations had gotten themselves involved.

The news of this revolution was finally reaching news networks across the world after a brief period of isolation, created by the Empress in order to further the nation, technologically, socially, and economically. Whether the Empress would admit it or not, a clash was likely, and an all out revolution was inevitable...

manner of their governance. As the current ruler of Euroslavia, you are in
the best position to determine whether the communist influence in your
country is the will of the majority of your people or that of a strong and
vocal minority. If it is the will of the majority of your people, we would ask
that you either negoiate an agreement to restructure your government or
step aside and accept our offer of asylum. If, however, it is a strong, but
vocal minority view that you need assistance in putting down, we will gladly
offer financial and military support if need be. We have an air base in the
Generic Empire and a Carrier Battlegroup in the Black Sea which are readily
available to assist you on a moments notice. Please let us know your
intentions and desires. If you wish to negotiate a settlement with the
communists, we offer our hospitality and our country as a neutral place in
which to undertake mediation and negotiations.

OOC: I'm too lazy to repost my first post, so the basic rundown is Sarctic is going to find ways to help the Communists

A few hours after the commands issued by the President, the full staff was assembled again at that table in the Command Center.

"Alright, Markov, how are we on assembiling a vanguard force with supplies?" The President turned and asked this right to the Minister of Defense. The Minister coughed and started in.

"We've managed to pull together the various units that were on standby from the rebellions we've been assisting, and the force has amassed to 20,000 infantry, 50 aircraft, 120 vehicles and about 4 naval ships. This vanguard is about a few hours to being ready to move at your command. AL-15s are already being loaded with food, supplies and weapons for the Communists." With a stern nod, the President turned to his Intelligence expert.

"Sergi, what do you got?"

"Well, sir, a lot is unconfirmed, but it's been seen that a lot of anti-communist nations might make a bid to help quell this rebellion. At that same time, many of our fellow comrades have taken up to the Communist cause. So, in terms, we're facing a Cold War scenario, except this conflict could acutally start into a full scale war. While we believe all of these nations care about the Communist rebellion in one way or another, we say ourselves and others as using Euroslavia as a point to settle old scores." With a cough, the expert took his pose again. With a rub to his eyes, Onsorn gathered up the papers on the table in front of him and stood.

"Alright. We'll convene again in one hour. I want updated reports and any more intel you can gather."

A dark clad figure stepped forward in the hallowed halls of National Imperial Cathedral. He kept his head bowed then dropped to one knee.

"Your Holiness. Our intelligence has proven what we expected. A revolution has broken out in Euroslavia. The evidence points to the Reds.", replied Imperial Grand Marshall Adolf Topenkopf. "What are your orders?"

A voice cracked from the stone-like figure of the Emperor, "Begin mobilization of an Imperial Expeditionary Force of 5,000. Then contact Euroslavia and offer them our assistance. Even if they waive our help, it is still in our best interest to extinquish the fires of revolution wherever the winds may carry them. Especially if they decide to land on our shores."

"By your command, your Holiness!" snapped Topenkopf.

Emperor Drasca IV stirred from his throne and looked toward a stained glass window depicting some long forgotten battle.

"Wait. Go ahead and put another 5,000 Imperial troops on standby, Vexland could use a good crusade."

The commander of the Imperial forces is Grand Marshall Adolf Topenkopf who will graciously work with your general staff to secure the protection of Euroslavia's citizens and it's recognized government. In this stage of the conflict I feel that the Holy Empire of Vexland is only acting as the role of peacekeepers against rebellious transgressors who through illegal actions seek to overthrow the lawful governing body of Euroslavia. Vexland's position is to oversee that this insurrection is put down and we will offer all our available resources to ensure that these illegal uprisings are stopped by whatever mean necessary.

The United Reich of Rodriquezland is ready to help the Euroslavian people trying to take down the communist. All we need is a request to do so, we have forces ready we will send..

A force of 235,000 Marines and 2,300 Tanks, artillery, AA, etc.: They will be dropped by air in groups of 5,000 at a time.

An armada of aircraft carriers, destroyers, submarines, landing craft, battleships, cruisers, and amphibious warfare ships will be deployed.

Thousands of bombers, fighters, spy planes, etc. Will also be ready for your help.

Rodriquezland will commit it's self to helping Euroslavia get rid of this communist threat if they request Rodriquezland's help. We stand by ready to go and ready to fight.

We see the deployment of these troops from anti-communist nations as a act against democracy. If people want to bring forth a glourious peolpes republic, then they should have the right to do so.

We will say this once and once only. If these anti-communist troops are not removed from Euroslavia, we will bring in troops against the governments will to protect the rights of the people AND to help install the system of government the people wish to bring forth.

We will also bring forth this conflict to the Spread the Red for possible involvement if the demands of my nation and that of the people are not met.

We thank you for your offers, but the number of troops you are suggesting to send to our nation is frightfully high. We fear that such an enormous force would lead to ineffective warfare against the small amount of Communist soldiers and volunteers, leading to many unnecessary deaths. We will accept up to 15,000 marines, and 200 tanks, along with an appropriate amount of artillery.


OOC: Basically, we want a fair fight between the Communists and Anti-Communists, that is, if Communist Louisiana and allies end up sending troops to do battle.

When Achilles finished reading the reply from the Empress he started yelling with anger.

"Damn it! My chances at conquering Euroslavia failed. I hate that paranoid Empress! If it wasn’t for her I could have been the ruler or Greece and Euroslavia!"

And he continues hours and hours cursing the Empress. But that’s when an idea struck him.

“My farther still got SHIA agents in Euroslavia…so I might have an advantage here…if there empress dies the nation will be in total anarchy chaos…this might server me as another advantage…but not only that I can invade during the chaos but first I will have to kill that General that I saw during the conference…yes this plan will work!”

A knock came on the door.

“Yes?”

“Emperor why are you talking to yourself?” said the secretary.

That was the line. Achilles was really getting angry now.

“CANT YOU HEAR I AM PLANNING TO TAKE OVER EUROSLAVIA!?! GET OUT!”

“Okay…”

The secretary left while closing the door behind here.

“Finally some peace and quiet now I can go back to my plans of Euroslavia domination!”

The Iron Concordiat of Wirraway does not wish to see another country fall under Communist domination, there-fore we will send one Division of Marines, 10,000 men, to Euroslavia to quell this communist revolt. The marines are part of our rapid response force and have already boarded their Ro/Ro's and set sail for Euroslavia, they should arrive within 1 day or so.

The Fuhrer sitting in his throne like office chair in front of a giant table reading Euroslavia's response. On each side of him in quite smaller office chairs sits a group of high ranking military official leaning towards him nervousley awaiting a response.

"We must send troops as soon as possible. We don't know how Euroslavia would like them deployed and where at. Contact them now!"

The United Reich of Rodriquezland will be sending fifteen thousand marines with 200 tank along 150 mobile artillery vehicles. We would also like to set up an airfield in your desired location.

Unacceptable unacceptable unacceptable. It is the inherent right of the people to decide how they wish to be governed, indeed, if they wish to be governed at all. Self-determination is one of the most sacred principles in the world, and I will not stand idly by as a popular revolution is forcibly put down by an unrelated nation, especially seeing as this revolution seems to be against quite an oppressive totalitarian.

I request that any and all foriegn powers withdraw their forces from the area immediatly or risk an escalated conflict with the Principality. I will be sending two carrier groups to prevent any ships flying under a foriegn flag from reaching Euroslavian shores. Any outbound vessals will be allowed passage, but no inbound vessals that are armed, carrying arms, carrying troops, or carrying other war materials will be turned back, with force, if needed.

Upon arrival at the interdiction zone, your ships will be required to halt and provide proof that you are unarmed. Your vessals will not be boarded against their will, but they will be fired upon if they attempt to run the blockade.

Rear Admiral Glusof, new commander of Industrialite maritime naval forces, namely on Earth, looked up from his desk at the woman now entering his office.

"Ah, yes, Maryella, good to see you. What brings you here?", he said, leaning out over his desk.

"Sir, I've got orders here from the governer here for you", she said, looking as great in her Brig. General's uniform as Glusof always thought she did.

"Very well, bring them them over", he replied, settling back into his chair and knitting his hands together, waiting for the general to come around his desk, just waiting. Maryella, Mary for short, look down at the papers a second then walked forward to stand opposite the admiral and placed them in front of him, again standing at attention.

She was a fairly new general, and new to command period, and it showed, "Mary, you can relax, you're at flag ranks now, you don't need to be so stiff around me". She visially un-tensed, slowly dropping out of attention and into a casual stance, further accentuating her certain...sex. As he had many times in the past, the admiral regretted his position at the ettiquite that came with it.

He sighed and looked down at the orders, reading through them quickly. His eyes opened in surprise, and motioned for Mary to come around the desk, "Take a look at this...what do you make of it?"

She repeated the admiral's reading speed, then frowned, "Well sir, it seems the governer is becoming a tad zealous in his support of our current economic systems. However, I would agree with him that it is unacceptable to see such interference in self-determination".

"I agree...I'll send these orders to the fleet commanders right away. At full steam they should be able to arrive right before the attacking fleets, due to our closer proximity to the location --", the admiral continued, only to be interrupted before he could finish. One of Mary's aids burst into the office, out of breath.

"Ma'am, the enemy forces have left earilier than anticipated, they are nearing Euroslavia!". The admiral looked up at Mary and she looked down. They stared at each other in horror, and then the room was flung in a panic. Mary rushed from the room, trailing her assistant and heading for her office. The admiral picked up clicked on his communicater, instantly linked to the two Fleet generals in charge of the first and third carrier groups of the first fleet.

They should arrive in about two days, if all goes well. I will IGNORE anyone who just happens to magically transport ships to Euroslavia before me (By the way, this post should have gone after the first offer of assistance to the empress, but I only just found out about this new IC thread.

As the Fuhrer paces that room screaming to all who can hear. "Who the hell does he think he is!!! I will not stand for this!!" A tall dark general stands up, "My Fuhrer: We can out produce Industrial Experiment by a vast amount." The Fuhrer looks up with a look of grim hate on his face, "Send an armada to meet his force!! But do not engage them, we just want to help Euroslavia! If they check,stop,or fire upon any Rodriquezlandian property engage and DESTROY them!"

The United Reich of Rodriquezland will be launching a massive navy force toward Euroslavia NOT to engage anything unless they are engaged. We will stay approximatly 90 miles away from Euroslavia and we will be watching Industrial Experiment's moves.

The seas rocked and swayed the Vexland transports. A few of the Grand Imperial Troopers heaved over the rails and watched what remained of their dinner splatter into the restless waves. Some just looked out across the horizon and wondered what lie ahead as they clasped religious icons. Others prayed in silence.

Grand Marshall Topenkopf stood on the upper deck and looked down at what he considered kids. He wondered if they even shaved. Topenkopf reached down into his trenchcoat removing a locket. He opened it and smiled slightly at the picture of his wife and young son. Thoughts began to seep into his mind about when his own son might be called to follow the Emperor in what he liked to call a holy crusade. Topenkopf quickly snapped back into the situation at hand, thoughts like that would be considered treason by some. He was the Emperor's advisor and the most trusted man to his Holiness. He couldn't let his personal thoughts interfere with the greater good of Vexland.

Topenkopf lit a cigarette and turn toward the bow of the ship. The ship's communications officer greeted him with a salute.

"Sir, this communications just came across the wire."

Marshall Topenkopf inhaled deeply as he read the statement.

"Any orders sir?" inquired the communications officer.

"Send a wire to the Imperial General Staff informing them that we will be unloading near Esperanza, Euroslavia, slightly east of the capital Arcadia. Also wire Euroslavia and inform them of our progress and position. Ask them what they need for us to do once we land and how they wish to coordinate our forces."

"And what of the opposition fleet?" replied the officer.

Topenkopf exhaled his cigarette, "Fortunately, we were the first to respond to Euroslavia. We should be settled in snug before we see their ships on the horizon."

The communications officer moved to make his way back to his station. He stared across the ocean as he turned. The coastline of Euroslavia stared back.

The Kramden of West Cedarbrook is concerned about the apparent Communist conspiracy to overthrow a democracy. In the event any West Cedarbrook citizens are captured in violent anti-government acts, identify them and the Kramden will prepare indictments against them for treason.

The External Affairs department and Military Intellegence will continue to monitor the situation.

Obviously, the Empress intends to put down the communist insurgency in her country, I hope for her sake it is just a small, vocal minority and not the majority of her people calling for the communists to take power. Otherwise she'll have one hell of a bloody mess of a civil war on her hands. If Communist Louisiana and his allies join, I see WW III happening too. I don't like this at all. General Ripper, re-send our original comminique, I guess it is possible the Empress did not recieve it and dispatch the Carrier Group, Bhang towards Euroslavia. Order them, however, to stand off in international waters and await further orders. I want them in the area, but they are to in no way do anything but observe the goings on for the time being. Also, send a comminque to Wirraway informing them of our actions and willingness to assist them and the Empress and send one to Communist Louisisana telling them they had better stay out of things."

The naval group Kovorsk was steaming out of port at Bolstechug, making its way out to open sea and towards Euroslavia. The forces mentioned before were all there, the planes safely tucked in the carriers, the troops and vehicles spread amongst the ships. As the force left port, President Onsorn turned around and faced back to his desk, where an unfinished letter to the Communist rebels lay.

He was having trouble putting exact words, so he had decided to take a short break and excuse as to watch the force leave. Already the President was bringing possible targets to which the StR could strike, but a lot of his fellow comrades were being stubborn. With a heavened sigh, he sat back behind the desk and started writing again.

A very beautiful secretary in a black skirt and a red shirt walked into Premier Jindals office and placed a thick folder of documents and satillite images

Secretary- The latest intel from the Louisiana Intell have come in sir.

Premier Jindal picks them up and fingers through the documents rather quickly skimming the text. He lifts a coupple of the satillite images from the folder and holds them up to see them better. He then places them back into the folder and stands up and turns looking out his office window towards the Mississippi River

Premier Jindal- Those sons of bitches. Get me my military advisors in my office as soon as possible Ms. Windy. Also forward this intell to our branch in StR. They might want to take a look at the current situation.

We see the deployment of these troops from anti-communist nations as a act against democracy. If people want to bring forth a glourious peolpes republic, then they should have the right to do so.

We will say this once and once only. If these anti-communist troops are not removed from Euroslavia, we will bring in troops against the governments will to protect the rights of the people AND to help install the system of government the people wish to bring forth.

We will also bring forth this conflict to the Spread the Red for possible involvement if the demands of my nation and that of the people are not met.

For the most part, our nation is a dictatorship. Our leader is not elected, but every other position is. There are hints of democracy within our nation that have been forming, especially a lax in civil liberties and freedom. I'd go into more detail, but A) I've got class soon and I have to keep it short, and B) It's very complicated stuff...that I'm too lazy to actually figure out, so maybe I'll do that later tonight or somethin.

The Iron Concordiat has deicided to pull out of Euroslavia for unspecified reasons (none relating to CL). We see that the amount of Capitalist nations intervening is large and able to fend for for them-selves, so we do not see our withdrawel as a huge loss. Our fleet will sail back out of Euroslavian waters under a white flag. They must not be fired upon or severe reprecussions will follow.

Large Greek forces where moving around the border ready to invade Euroslavia and give a striking blow to its military and economy. Achilles hoped that the invasion will be enough to weaken Euroslavia so it won't be a threat to Greece and the other Balkan nations. But he does hope that he conquers most of Euroslavia. To other foreign nations this might be seen as a Communist and Anti-Communist war but in Greece its a Third Balkan War. Kahta M1A3 Abrams, M1A2 Abrams, HA-V1 and UT-HS where being transported to the border with soldiers too. A total of 200,000 soldiers was gathered in Albania and another 50,000 in FYROM to give backup support incase the first wave of soldiers needed it.

OOC: Ew... I regret this already... seriously people, I don't want to be bitching at the insanity of nations who aren't even against me. Holy Paradise, I would suggest dividing that force by 10 with exception to the tanks and maybe the planes... though the planes seem odd.

Also, it's needs to be noted that a war isn't needed... I mean it's a rebellion in his nation; any one deploying forces officially to help the communists will be concidered to be declaring war and invading Euroslavia. The young officer walked briskly through the passageway leading the the MFA (Ministy of Foreign Affairs) offices. He had a folder tucked under his left arm pit. He reached the MFA offices and saluted the heavily-armed guards. He showed them his ID and they opened the door and ushered him in. He walked by several desks and headed to the back office. A man was sitting in his finely-crafted leather chair staring at a map of some sort, then he noticed the officer and looked up.


"How may I help you?" He asked curiosly.

"Sir, negotiations with Euroslavia have failed." Said the officer, as he slide the folder onto the man's desk.

"Very well, if they don't wish for our help in crushing their ever-growing communist revolt thats their problem. They are going to regret this decission..." Mumbled the man.

He is a ego-maniac who likens himself to Alexander the Great in our humble estimation and who wishes only to expand his own territory. Any support of the commies in your nation by him will last only so long as need be for him to conquer you. Once that happens, odds are he'll route out the commies as well to solidify control under his particular brand of socialism. We just wanted to give your our assesment of the situation in that regard. Any information you are willing to share with us and any aid you need will be freely given as you know.

We currently have one carrier, 4 battleships, 3 destroyers, a light cruiser and 2 medical ships as well as one sub standing off your shores in international waters. We have also dispatched 2 carrier groups towards the Gulf of Mexico to deal with any attempt by Communist Louisiana to dispatch naval or troop forces towards you. Our airbase in the Generic Empire is also on alert and a second carrier group can be dispatched towards your region and arrive there with 3 -5 days should you wish it. Finally, King 'Lude has also directed that I inform you that we are willing to host a peace conference in Mauiwowee should all the parties agree. We were able to succesfully settle a significant dispute between IDF and the Generic Empire regarding the closing of the Suez Canal last year by way of mediation in Mauiwowee and we offer the same service to you and the others involved in this conflict as well.

OOC: Holy Paradise, I think I have to agree that your military forces dedicated to this matter is just a little too large to be believable, especially as it regards you navy. I would be willing to believe the troop strengths if you share a border with Eurslavia as Nikoloas does. But to ship in that many troops all at once is a bit much, even if you have access to an airstrip or 2 or 3 in the area to land in (do you?). Also, it takes time to gather that many forces and if they are arriving by boat, even longer to get them there. Just my $0.02

Technically, no one knows that a 'war' is going to happen. The only thing we really know is that they are mobilizing forces on our border. So basically, no one knows that in reality, they're going to invade. Only thing that I said was to mobilize in case of an invasion.

Further ask them who we are to coordinate our troops with and what positions to take. I want our forces to be under joint command with Euroslavia."

The officer looked up from his notepad and asked, "Sir, are you worried that other nations may come in on the side of the Reds?"

The Marshall looked at him with suspicion, "Are you?"

Euroslavia's relations with Nikolaos the Great have been nothing but trouble in the past few months. Ever since the crisis with the Generic Empire and its capture of our innocent civilians, we haven't been able to trust a single nation in the Balkan Peninsula. It's a pity that our region can't get along... and is a hotbed of terror, war, and fear. With Nikolaos the Greats' threat of invasion, our region may fall even further into instability. It's time for the world to take notice of this, and take action against it.

In the event of an attack by Nikolaos the Great, we have absolutely no doubt that we repel the attack. Assistance is always welcome though, especially from your nation. If you choose to aid us in the event of war, we would advice you to not worry about mainland Euroslavia, but we would need help in a counterattack upon the enemies mainland. The bombing of strategic targets/factories would be of the most help. We will coordinate with you in this effort.

Achilles was personally going to lead the invasion. He will be the one to conquer Euroslavia, the only threat to Greece. He will prove to his farther that he deservers to be Supreme General of all the Hellenic Army not just General of the Phalanx Army. It is with my pleasure that I am able to talk to you all on this day... a day of warmth, happiness, and prosperity. It is unfortunate though, that these simple things in our daily lives are being threatened by dissidents. Communists and Socialists alike have banned together to plan a revolution against a government that has done absolutely nothing against them. The few men that we arrested were taken in for crimes that they have committed against the nation, things that would get any man arrested, communist or not.

Today, I ask of you all, to ban together, and rejoice in your nations' government, and rejoice in the fact that many nations out there, including the likes of Iuthia, wish only the best for our nation. All of you out there are cared for, and admired based on the fact that you are Euroslavic. Our people are known for their independence, their hope, and their will, and together, with the help of these allied nations, we will defeat our common enemy, and lead our nation to another way of peace, one unlike the last.

The crowd stands up and cheers for approximately two minutes at what their leader had just said. The Empress was very good at speeches and convincing people to believe her. Not that there was anything wrong with that, because she doesn't use it to her advantage. She's also a very caring person, one that wouldn't lie to her own people in the face of danger.

The newest development in our relations with Nikolaos the Great have practically generated into a war. We all know exactly what happened last time war was declared. Nothing happened. Based on the fact that Euroslavia has a superior military, one unlike any other in the entire region. We have nothing to fear from these mere threats. We said it once, and we will say it again... Nikolaos the Great will fail in any sort of invasion of Euroslavia, and will be met with such an overwhelming force, that it will be forced to surrender, or face our might.

The SHIA agent walked slowly in the alleys. His name was Yannis and was ordered to kill the Empress of Euroslavia. He walked for a few minutes thinking on how to kill her when he finally reached his destination.

In front of him he saw the Empress standing before a large loyal crowd of Euroslavians. She was giving out a speech about what’s happening in this war, which is known as The Third Balkan Wars back in Greece. He looked around but only to find more and more Euroslavian soldiers ready to defend there Empress with there lives. He decided to the old stab and run trick on the Empress. He went in the crowd and listened to the beautiful Empress talking about the war and how Euroslavia will survive these dark days. When she was over the crowd started cheering her as she gave them some hope of a future in there hearts. When she was heading toward the limo to transport her back to her Palace, Yannis, took the chance and walked toward her ready to pull out the knife. As he was right next to her he pulled out his dagger when…

A foreign immigrant named, Zhou Jiang from China noticed a strange man walking towards the Empress. He wasn't part of the press, because he wasn't carrying a notepad, microphone, or a camera. He began to think very suspiciously of him. He origin seemed Greek, due to his darker complexion. She jogged up right next to him as they reached the Empress, and noticed his arm moving into his pocket.

Next thing she knew, the man pulled out a knife and raised it up high, while the Empress' back was turned. Before her bodyguards could realize this, Zhou knew what she had to do. The Empress' laxation of the formerly strict immigration laws allowed her to enter the great nation of Euroslavia, and she owed it to her, and the nation to save her life, if need be. Zhou threw herself in the way of the man and the Empress, and tried to tackle him, but he was too strong for her... The man stabbed her in the stomach, but was then taken down by the bodyguards, who quickly noticed the struggle.

An ambulance was in the area, thanks to the strict policies of a leader giving a speech. This was always how it was. Whenever someone of importance was doing anything semi-important, help would be ready. The knife was knocked out of his hand by a bodyguard, and he was knocked out cold before he could spell 'Arcadia'. Zhou was rushed to the hospital, due to the stab wound in the stomach, but it was unlikely that she would make it.

The damage had been done though. Someone tried to assassinate the Empress, and many people had different suspects. Some thought it was the Communists...others thought it was terrorists....and even some others thought it was a spy from Nikolaos the Great, although no proof, as of yet, could give a clear answer. All that was left, was to interrogate this man, until he gave in...

The Chancellor was behind it simply because it gave him the chance to control the other departments even more tightly. And the Ministers without portfolio were generally hard-liners now. This is the President of Holy Paradise. I saw the statement you released publicly and I want you to know that I'm not doing this to keep right-wingers in power, I'm doing it to keep the people in Euroslavia free.

Hard to believe. Your previous policies have not been noticeable for their emphasis on freedom for anyone who opposes the Right. The actions of your country have spoken far more loudly than your words.

OOC: Here's the first action of this war.....though it's probably not going to be known action, very secret.

At Kolcev Airforce Base, a flurry of activity had struck up. Cargo lifters were being loaded with supplies, infantry we packing up and heavy armor was being rolled on. A large amount of the airforce was being fitted and waiting on standby, waiting for that first strike, or first escort duty. The air was defintely of war.

At runway 4-B, 5 Su-25T "Frogfoots" and 2 MiG 29 "Fulcrums" were in launch position. However, unless you were right next to them, you couldn't tell they were Russian craft. The paint sets of the craft had all been tooled to a light grey pallette. The plating on the crafts had a light sheen and a European feel to them, which was spot on. The aircraft had been disguised as best as possible to look like Eurofighter Typhoons, which extra fuel tanks and weapons.

The craft took off in order and circled until the air convoy was totally together before proceeding off. For hours the planes flew out across the oceans of the world, skirting most of the major landscapes. Near the tip of of Spain, out to sea, the planes landed at the Freedom aircraft carrier Lenin's Glory. One by one, the planes landed and refueled for 2 hours before lifting again out to sea, after being refitted, past Span and in towards the Adriatic Sea.

The planes began to skirt towards the Hellnisic Empire of Nikolaos the Great, dipping towards descent. As they neared international waters border, the planes took an ascent again, like they were lifting off. The convoy now made its way directly towards Euroslavia, slowing as they neared the lone island off the coast of the troubled country. The planes dipped and went low, towards the basnishment areas of the island.

The Frogfoots dipped off and began taking shots at the complex, using mostly main cannons and SSRAM missles. As the Frogfoots finished out, 2 of them would come and drop fuel like pods on the areas just bombed. With a very large splash, water blew onto the destruction areas and put out some of the small fires and smoke. It was hoped the strikes could take out any communications the island had, and that the water could smother the fires before they gave off smoke signals.

We are not against left-wingers. I am thinking of allowing Communists to reenter the country. Did you not see that I ordered the National Guard to protect them while they left? We are a decent country who is worried about an end to democracy and beginning of a dictatorship ran by Communists.

"In total, the support for our cause has been growing dramatically. The oppressive government of Euroslavia, currently, has arrested our high officers and charging them with fake crimes, in order to 'behead' our staff, and lower our cause. Their attempts to destroy us have failed, and have in fact, benefitted us more than anyone could have ever done. Our Bloc continues to grow at a fast rate, absorbing more and more citizens of Euroslavia, after hearing about the truths of the oppression of the government. Hundreds of thousands have flocked to our 'hearings' to listen to the things that the Empress has done to oppress the people of Euroslavia.

Currently, we are hoping that international support for our cause will become an instrumental part of our success. Particularly, we look to the support of Communist Louisiana and DPUO, to put international pressure upon the current government to step down in their brutal leadership. Grand Marshall Topenkopf looked out the window of this command vehicle and lit another cigarette. As he inhaled he thought he should quit...if this conflict didn't kill him, the cigarettes would.

The military convoy of VIEF Army Group III headed through the countryside toward Arcadia. As they passed through the small towns along the way, people eyed them with suspicion. Topenkopf caught eye of alot more activity than civilians out shopping. Something felt wrong.

"Sir!" shouted the radio operator. "A communications from the Euroslavian High Command. There was an attempted assassination on the Empress."

The Marshall inhaled another drag on the cigarette, "Things just got a little more complicated."

The radio operator handed Topenkopf another message. "This a follow up on forces moving to aid the rebels, sir."

Topenkopf flicked ash out the window as he looked at the report. "Send an order out to all groups to double time it to their destinations. Also inform the Euroslavian High Command we are entering the outskirts of Arcadia and give them the locations of Groups I & II. Tell them we will begin setting up perimeters and checkpoints within the hour. I also want their military attache' waiting for us when we arrive. This attempted assassination could be the thing that sets this powder keg off."

"Anything else sir?" asked the radio operator.

I would like to extend an invitation for Euroslavia to state it's case on the floor of the United Nations.

Although Euroslavia is not part of the UN, Vexland offers to represent your nation's voice in these turbulent times. The nations that support the rebellion seek to overthrow Euroslavia's rightful government through military means. Unconfirmed reports state that attacks by unknown foreign combatants have already taken place on island(s) in the territorial waters of Euroslavia.

The Imperial Grand Dominion of Vexland will continue to pledge support for Euroslavia. Our troops are there to help ensure the peace and the protect the rightful government. As of now Iuthia will be mobilising and preparing a force of peacekeepers to send to our good friends in Euroslavia to help them get over their troubles with terrorist forces within their nation at this time. Again, we stress that this force is being sent with legitimate authority; authority other nations simply do not have to even consider sending forces to Euroslavia because the communist rebels are not legally in control of Euroslavia.

Due to the fact we only intend to send a minor force of one division of peacekeepers (around 10-15'000 troops) such a process should be rather short, we expect their mobilisation and deployment to be complete within the next 10 days.

These forces are trained for policing roles and generally go around with light armour and light armament in order to reinforce the idea that they are policement and not a military force as such, they will be deployed in all major cities and spread out as the Euroslavian government sees fit. While they take orders from the Euroslavian government, they are still Iuthian forces and as such follow Iuthian ethos regardless of these orders (so they will conduct themsevles well and will not follow order deemed immoral by Iuthian standards).

To assist these soldiers, a company of Black Vipers Specialists will be sent to each city they are deployed in and will act as a fast responce team with the help of Hippogrith Support Craft (future tech but pretty much the same as black hawk helicopters) in order to respond to emergency situations the Peacekeepers cannot deal with.

We do not reckognise any force which is sent to help the rebels as legitimate and should any unauthorised force touch Euroslavian soil we will treat it as an invasion of our good friend. As far we are concerned; legally it is an invasion of their nation as the current government of Euroslavia, the government which has soveriegn right to rule Euroslavia as it sees fit, did not permit it.

In anycase we are mobilising an additional number of Iuthian Army divisions in order to prepare against those who would invade a nation we are in good relations with. All nations who invade Euroslavia will be added to the Black List and trade will be denied from them (amongst other things) for a period until they can make up for their crimes against the soveriegn nation.

Iuthia isn't against the spreading of communism; we are wholey against the invasion of a nation and the assistance of terrorism. Forcing communism on another nation is completely against our policy and we are willing to stand up for our allies.

We would advise the leadership of Euroslavia to treat any and all invasions of their land as they would any normal invasion and call upon the help of thier allies. It's one thing to help a terrorist cuase... but for them to mobilise troops to send into their a nation without legitimacy is just wrong.

We implore nations to keep military forces away from Euroslavia and Iuthia will remain only using peacekeeper to quell rebellion.

Whats more, invading forces would need to supply forces from their nation... something which is hard to do away from home. This is why I'm starting small, because I can support my forces from Euroslavia if need be; but I don't want to strain their resources so I'm doing it from home. Read the above link to get an idea of logistics... because I'm not in the mood for OMG MILLION MEN!!!1! crap in this, I don't need details about how you are supplying forces; I don't care that much, but I want some concideration shown for real life problems big mobilisations cause.

Black Viper Specialist: Iuthian Military Elite, each one trains in a specialist subject along with broader training. Many are trained from childhood.

Peace Keepers: Iuthian Police Forces, all Iuthian emergancy services are run by the military, the Peace Keepers are the Iuthian version of policement, lightly armed and armoured these men keep the peace. They can perform a role of soldier but are poorly equipped to do so.

We will not sit back and watch the massacre of people whose sole crime is to oppose their government, to challenge it with their views. Iuthia is by all means free to move peacekeepers to this troubled country, but peacekeepers should aim to contain both sides. We will be keeping an eye on this situation. Small though we may be, the time when the right wing can butcher anyone they do not agree with must come to a close as rapidsly as possible.

You presume to have the right to judge how Euroslavia rules it's nation? Even if these 'reports' you are getting are true, and so far I've not seen anything to confirm that, then you still don't have any authority to enter a nation and change it's legitimate government because you don't like how it runs things. Perhaps you will seak to change Iuthia into a democracy seeing as you can't respect a nations soveriegn right to rule it's nation as it see fit.

This time, it was night at Kolcev Airforce base. Most of the action was quiet, and the only noise were the 10 AL-15s on the runway, all in clear lineup and takeoff position. And this they did. Slowly, they each rose into the air and circled around to join into a large convoy. Besides this, on the ground, two of the MiG 29 turned Eurofighters rose into the air with the lifters, taking up escort positions. The aircraft arced over the sea and out towards the Iberian Pennisula, near the outcropping of Spain and Portugal.

Besides the MiGs being disguised as Eurofighters, the AL-15s were heavily laden with a set of colors that fitted to areas of destruction and rubble. Also there was a veryb heavy grey set, and forest cameo colors. By this time, the planes began to circle around the Freedom aircraft carrier Lenin's Glory. The MiG 29's slowly landed and refueled, and then they took off again, moving into the place with the cargo lifters. The planes turned into the sea strait and towards the Adriatic Sea, arcing low towards Euroslavia.

As the convoy began to descend, the carog lifters ramps started to lower. From winthin, various paratroopers, who were dressed in very odd clothes, ranging from rags to normal civillian clothes, stood and made their way to the open aired ramp. As the planes finally started over the island, the green light went and the troopers began falling like flies, parachutes deploying and bringing safely to the ground. Along with the troopers came large crates full of supplies and amunitions, and even some large pick up trucks with .50s and .30 cals placed on the back.

While 10 of the planes swung around and began returning towards the aircraft carrier along with the MiGs, five of the AL-!5s kept flying around the island, keeping low. After a while, they descended to bumpy landings in the rubble of the prison areas. Now, with the rubble around them, the planes looked liked just more of the rubble, unless you were right next to them. As soon as the planes landed and came to a stop on rocky surfaces and bumpy fields, the paratroopers ran over and began throwing cameo nets, provided by the supply crates. If there was any doubts if there was a plane there, you could see it no longer.

A few hours later, the ragtag dressed paratroopers were scouring the rubble and damage, standing around barrel fires and sitting in craters, talking. This is what the bulk of the troops were doing however. On a lot of the island, a few special operations were going on. Inside areas destroyed and rubbled into concrete and rock, small tunnels had begun to form. Specially trained combat engineers were digging and making very small tunnels underneath the ground. The tunnels moved into small command chambers which could be used as cover against airstrikes and for living. But a much bigger plan was at stake.

We see it as highly unlikely that you have the ability to transport 10.5 million troops and 25,000 tanks, artillery, etc. to Nikolaos the Great. Even if you did, the amount of casualties taken would be immense. That amount may be overkill. We have our own plan for Nikolaos the Great (since we've already talked about this over AIM). Our troops will take care of the invasion, and aid is not needed. The only thing we ask for is protection from any sort of Communist uprising.

Wow, Umm...first of all, if you're talking about Pirates Isle, there is resistance there. You would have met upon it. Secondly, we never approved of the massive increase of your troops, and we demand that you withdrawal to the amount we told you that you could have. Thirdly, you have absolutely no right to take that island of ours and convert it into a fortress. We never gave you permission, and technically, this is an invasion of Euroslavia.

1. All military factories are underground. Major factories are in Southern Greece which is EXTREMELY hard to get there. 2. Its almost impossible to invade me by sea or air or you will be blown up right at the spot so don't even think of it unless you just want to lose millions of soldiers for nothing.

Yannis was thinking over and over how he failed to kill the empress. For god sakes she was right next to him and the guards didn’t see anything! The Euroslavian authorities took Yannis to special area to question him. They took all the weapons he had and raided his hotel room. They discovered a radio bomb, suitcase bomb and a grenade launcher. The authorities are still freaking out how he was able to sneak them in Euroslavia. They already knew now that he was Greek but that’s no solid evidence to trace him back to the Greek emperor, Nikolaos.

Euroslavian-Greek Borders

It was a very cold morning here at the Greek Albania-Euroslavian Serbia border. Achilles, leading the invasion with 200,000 of the best Hoplites, was revising over and over the plan with his Generals so there won’t be any mistakes.

“As you can see the border town, Li Yang, will have no resistance but Euroslavian soldiers are near by. A total of 2 million Euroslavian soldiers are on the border right now. We will use the town as a base of operations. But remember we don’t want to start genocide so no killing unarmed civilians. If there are civilians with weapons or non at all that are still showing resistance then shoot them but then hide the bodies. Is everything understood?”

"General Celes, I've got news that Nikolaos' Army has advanced past our border and has occupied the city of Li Yang."

"Just as I had suspected. Ever since the Conference, I had suspected that they had something up their sleeve. Send the order out, we're going to meet them in Li Yang, and destroy them. How many troops do they have?"

"It's not a particularly large number for an invasion force, especially since we border each other, but the number is approximated around 150,000-250,000 troops on the ground."

"I have a feeling that this isn't the only invasion force being prepared, and that they have more plans for us. Nevertheless, it is in our best interest to wipe these men out, and move into Nikolaos' territory to take them out once and for all. The signal was given to the mobilized armies of Euroslavia, amounting to over 2 million troops, to advance upon Li Yang, and defeat the invaders. The two soldiers guarding Achilles tent took the body away and where going to dump it in a near by river.

Ha-V1s, able to fire over 400 kilometers distance, was firing rockets at the enemy forces. Soldiers where barracketing entrances and roads with the help of Kahta M1A3 Abrams.

ooc: Sorry for the late response, a bit hung over from last night and day.

As Sgt. King looks at his squad and many others aboard the plane. He thinks of home and his family and also his fate which is unknown. He sees young men who still look like boys these are brothers, sons, some are fathers. Most are to young to even want kids.

As he comes out of his tranquil thoughts the noise of the airplane door opening to let in a quite chilly gust of wind. As he looked to the back of the plane he could see them dropping tanks, artillery, etc. He could see the fighter plane escorts around his planes wich seemed to far away to do anything but he thought "hey im not in the airforce they know what they are doing" The thought of his squad came back to mind.

"Alright boys we have to be quick,quiet,and devestating! We all have reasons to go back home so lets get this done with and return home! Remember your training marines! LETS GO GIVE THESE COMMIES HELL!" As he jumped he could see hundreds of other marines coming in, this was his first feeling of comfort his brothers in arms will be there by his side.

OOC: How many rockets were fired?

The march had begun. General Celes led the 11 other Generals and their troops to take on the, then considered, insane general Achilles. More mobilization had begun to make sure that NtG didn't make it any further into Euroslavic territory. Mechanized Infantry had been mobilized and sent to support the leading General. Over 100 EE-T1 Euroslavic Light Tanks had been gathered together, and sent to Li Yang, along with supporting artillery.

Along with these mobilizations, it was decided that Euroslavia would need to paralyze NtG somehow by firing cruise missiles at suspected factories. All that is known about NtG's factories is that majority were underground, except for a few in the Southern Part of Greece. Satellite images were requested of these factories days before they actual NtG invasion on Li Yang.

Overall, 600 cruise missiles would be fired. 100 at the camps of the invading army, and the rest (500) going towards the factories in Southern Greece. If these factories were effectively taken out, this would paralyze the Greek war machine, and in effect, lead to a quicker victory.

"General."

"I want you to give the command to fire 600 cruise missiles at the factories within NtG, and at the advancing army camps. It is unfortunate that there is a risk of killing innocent civilians, but that is the risk that they took when unjustly invading our territory. 500 of those will be aimed at the factories."

"Oh...General...I forgot to tell you...thank you. You know, with this rebellion happening in my own country...I thought I was doing a great job. I guess I wasn't... and I want to thank you for standing with me in such a hard time."

There was a brief silence, due to the immense amount of emotions being let out, which was abnormal, especially from the Empress.

"Now go. We have a war to win."

The General walked off, and gave the command. Within minutes, the missiles were fired, and began to roar off to their target.

"Ok number one, this is it, Nikoloas's troops have crossed the border and are in Euroslavia. They are headed to the town of Li Yang, launch the strike fighters, target the cruise missiles on all ships and lets get to work. Send a commique' to Gen. Ripper, tell him it'd be nice if he sent another carrier group to back us up."

With that order, Mauiwowee entered the frey. 50 fighters, armed with Napalm and missiles were air born as fast as they could launch and in 10 groups of 5 they set out towards Li Yang. Flying in low over Nikoloas's troops as they advanced on the city they let loose with the full striking force of their armament.

"Major Joy Boy" said colonel "Stryker" English "focus attacks on the tanks and heavy armament. Euroslavia has the ground forces to handle Nikoloas' regular infantry, but lets help out by taking out as much of his heavy equipment as we can."

Whoooossshhhh, the planes swung on the advancing column of tanks. Strafing as they came in to unload gallon upon gallon of Napalm. The fire bombing of Dresden in WW II was instantly brought to mind. Missiles were fired from the planes at the tanks, who answered back with their own guns as well as more than just a few stinger type missiles from Nikoloas' troops. History would remember the start of the invasion of Euroslavia as a blitzkrieg on the invaders, invaders that fought back hard. Of the 50 planes in the strike force from Mauiwowee's carrier that went in, only 31 made it back to their carrier, and many of those had at least one bullet hole in them. The losses to Nikoloas's troops was never pinned down exactly, but the official reports from Greece at the time said that ______soldiers had been killed in the attack and over ____tanks and other heavy guns and support vehicles were destroyed.

Meanwhile, on the ships, targeting was complete, one after the other 91 cruise missiles launced toward's Greece at targets identified by Euroslavia and Mauwiwowee intelligence as being potentially vulnerable. The commanders of the ships awaited confirmation from satellite and intelligence analysis as to the effectiveness of the cruise missile strikes. The location of manufacturing in underground facilities was a problem but somethings had to be above ground, such as airfields and entrances to underground manufacturing facilities. Maybe the facility couldn't be destroyed, but if they couldn't get out from underground, they might as well be destroyed.

OOC: This was part of my assignment as I recall, you'll notice I'm leaving it up to Nikoloas to describe his losses. I've described mine, please RP the attack from your viewpoint. Feel free to TG me if you want to plan out some additional details, etc.

Greek soldiers where located all over the town. Some where on roofs of the houses or buildings, some blocking roads ready to fire on any enemy soldier that tries to pass through, and some where hidden in alleys ready to attack surprised enemy soldiers.

Meanwhile in Athens, Greece

The missile attack alarm was going around from the loudspeakers in all of Athens and in every village, town, city and major cities. Civilians where asked to head for the underground bunker facilities which every civilian knows how to use incase something like this happens.

Nikolaos was healed but he couldn’t use legs and some think he is paralyzed but doctors say he will be able to recover. Sitting in his wheelchair in his office he was thinking about his foolish son, Achilles.

“I can believe he will do this! He is risking every person’s life in Greece by doing this. If he fails his invasion I am sure Euroslavia will counter-invade. And now Euroslavia launched 600 cruise missiles at Greece…”

“Don’t worry Emperor our defense forces will shoot them down. They have already shot down about 30 and are targeting many more. All satellites we have up in space are now targeting the cruise missiles.”

Back in an naval/airbase close to Euroslavia

We have dispatched 5 submarines, 5 Aegis destroyers and 5 battleships toward the Mauiwowee carriers with support from 100 Eurofighter Typhoons. They where to engage Mauiwowee and leave nothing floating on the sea.

If it wasn't for the missile defense programs purchased many years ago, Eastern Euroslavia would have been devastated. Over a thousand missiles were launched, and it was suspected that a small amount were launched as a counterattack to Mauiwowee, but the bulk of them were fired at mainland Euroslavia. Out of the 1,080 missiles fired...approximately 10 failed to explode, and caused minor damage to the factories they were aimed at, 700 of them were destroyed by the strong missile defenses, and 370 hit Euroslavia.

Factories recently built within the Eastern parts of Euroslavia were hit and destroyed, but majority of the missiles were aimed at the defenders. In total, over 40,000 troops were killed. It was labeled as only a minor setback. The troops began their march towards the Greek army, and were within a 2 miles of their attackers.

We would urge all sides to please back down in this case. The world needs fewer wars of this nature. We would be happy to volunteer peacekeeping forces and host negotiation or discussion between the current government and the rebels in our nation.

It is Nikolaos the Great who started this conflict by unjustly invading Euroslavia with intentions of adding it as one of its own provinces. We will not stop until they are defeated for their jaded intentions. Their nation will never be stable as long as Achilles in the leader.

It is rare they don't have one sub per carrier and they also like to have "rouge" subs that carry SEAL special ops. teams in any conflict. Finally, One carrier group is located in the northern area of the sea, spread out a little, in position to protect Za-Breg, we figure this is the one that was used to attack our column. The second carrier group is to the south and east of Pirate's Cove. We don't know where the subs might be though. The Southern Carrier group is likely to have the F-23 stealth fighters. Fewer planes, but a more serious threat to our attacking forces than the Harriers."

"Oh, one more thing sir, Mauiwowee's targeted EMP defense systems are pretty formibable, but they are also limited. They sell the technology openly. Basically they have to lock on to a specific target and fire it and let it re-charge for 10 seconds or so before they can lock onto another target and fire again. A single missile or plane is highly vulnerable, but a barrage or large scale attack by planes coming from different directions limit the system's ability to effectively stop an attack."

A Vexlander Convoy will be approaching Euroslavian waters within the next day. 3 transports will be carrying humanitarian aid for the victims of the recent missile attacks and 3 transports for resupplying our peacekeeping forces. They are being escorted by four destroyers. The convoy will relieve our present ships docked except for my command ship. Once the new convoy arrives our naval presence will be 6 transports & 5 destroyers.

"Sir, long range radar picked up something, but it was gone as soon at it was there and we're not sure what to make of it. With all the missile launches from both sides we're not sure it means anything."

"We've got 32 operational Harriers and 15 of the choppers are good to go. The carrier Slash and its contingent of ships has finally arrived and are stationed down south by the pirate's cove island. As you know, they carry the new Stealth F-23's. We have no idea where the subs are, but I guess that means they are doing their job. There are supposedly 3 of them here for us though."

The HSV-2 Transport Vessel's caught site of Pirates Cove Island. The ships began to radio other CL vessels among this fleet and notified them of the siteing. As soon as they were accompied by the rest of the ships, the first 3 CH-47 Chinook's left their ships loaded with Red Army troops. The Chinook's landed on the beach of the island and was unloaded very quickly. A small section of beach was soon secured and the first 4 Landing Craft, Air Cushion (LCAC) Transport's loaded with military construction equipment were arriving on the beach accompanied by more Red Army troops. The unloading of Red Army Troops and military contruction equipment continued for another 3 hours until all troops and equipment were located on the beach of the island. The landing craft began to move back towards the ships when the last 3 Chinook's landed on the beach. They were quickly unloaded of the Patriot Missile Platforms which were quickly online when parts of the forest ,surrounding the beach, began to be bulldozed and the logs were moved away

The construction of a very crude runway continued for a good while. Other contruction equipment and Red Troops were cutting the logs and having to move them into place to make crude living quaters for the time they would be here

The runway is good enough now for small aircraft. We hope to have it good enough in about 2 days to be able to land large cargo aircraft on the strip.

We are in the process of building 3 crude living quaters to cook the meals and what not for the troops and contruction workers. The troops are very helpful and are doing much work that would have slowed us down if we had to do it ourselves.

We have seen no resistance yet from Euroslavia nor anyother nations. We have about 6 Mobile Patriot Towers up and running.

Fleet W-4 is still in the Mediterranian following ceasure of hostilities in Chellisian France, and fleets W-2 and W-3 are just on the other side of the Gibraltar straights. W-5 is in the Indian Ocean, but could be brought up the Suez Canal. The 4th fleet is also enroute to Cayton for peacekeeping operations."

Riva shook her head. "For the moment, unnecessary. Bring W-2 and W-3 into the Mediterranian, but near British Morocco for now. W-5 is to remain near the Canal. But W-4 is to head for Euroslavia in preparation for a naval blockade and intercept. However, send W-1 and all the boomers home. No sense escalating things."

"Yes, sir!"

She clicked a long nail against her teeth before adding "Also, have the 14th and 16th FRAM regiments prepare for aerial insertion if needed, and order Fleet Admiral Gurgi Mesfin al-Din to make way with all possible speed into the Suez. If we need the firepower of the 5th Fleet, I want it in place to be deployed quickly."

Sorry about the confusion. I posted a map in the OOC thread, which I do believe there is a link to that in the first or 2nd page. But yea, the geography of this war is basically the Balkan Peninsula. NtG in Greece, and I own all of the former Yugoslav republics, except in the map that I posted, to the east of me is water, so me and NtG just assumed that its the same map, except I rotated it to the left. I know that's probably a little confusing, but look at the map, and rotate it to the right, and it almost looks like the Balkan Peninsula...sort of...heh.

Excerpt from: A Naval History of Mauiwowee, by: David Slutchpuppy, Simon & Shooster, 1st Edition, May 2294

The first great naval battle of Mauiwowee in the 21st Century was also one of Mauiwowee's few losses in the arena of naval warfare. In 2019 the Baltic Penninsula country of Euroslavia was threatened by an armed uprising of communist insurgents. Being a staunch anti-communist, and fearing what would happen in the area if the communists gained control of Euroslavia (it must be remembered that Mauiwowee had allied itself with the nearby nation of Generia and the Generic States), King 'Lude II ("The Uniter") sent a naval fleet to the Baltic/Euroslavic sea to assist Euroslavia. Unbeknownst to King 'Lude II at the time, the nearby Grecian state of Nikoloas the Great viewed the uprising in Euroslavia as a chance to invade and conquer Euroslavia for his own ends. Nikoloas neither cared for, nor despised communism in this instance, he was merely concerned with increasing his power and holdings. Under the leadership of his son, Achillies, a Greek army massed on the border of Euroslavia. Meanwhile, Euroslavia accepted Mauiwowee's offer of aid and asked that they use their navy to attack any nation which sought to take advantage of the situation in any way and invade Euroslavia and Mauiwowee agreed.

Shortly after this agreement, Achillies and the Greek army launched an invasion of Euroslavia. True to its promise, Mauiwowee's navy in the Euroslavian sea sent in a strike force from its air craft carrier, the Bhang II to fight off the invasion. The attack apparently caught the Greek forces by surprise and over 500 tanks and heavy artillery pieces were destroyed and close to 50,000 invading Greek soldiers were killed in the Mauiwowee air strike. Marking the strike as one of the greatest single non-nuclear uses of air power in history up until that day. However, the strike was not without consequences. It was those consequences that led to the defeat of Mauiwowee's naval forces in the "Battle for the Euroslavian Sea" as the conflict has come to be known in Mauiwowee.

It didn't take long after the strike for Nikoloas and the Greeks to figure out who had launched it and where they had come from. With that information they planned and carried out a massive counter-strike against Mauiwowee's naval forces in the Eurslavian Sea (also called the Baltic Sea, but referred to here by its popular name in Mauiwowee). While equipment wise, Mauiwowee had a slight technological edge on the Greeks, the sheer number of the Greek forces coupled with the fact the Greeks were fighting in "their own back yard" so to speak, overwhelmed Mauiwowee's naval forces. For example, Mauiwowee had 2 carriers in the Euroslavian Sea, the Bhang II and the Slash. Between the 2 ships, and due to losses incurred in the earlier strike on the Greek army, Mauiwowee had only 77 planes available for the battle. Of those, 32 were Harrier 33A VTOL jets and the other 45 were F-23A "stealth" fighters and all were carrier based (the Generic Empire wishing to maintain neutrality in the conflict had refused Mauiwowee permission to use Mauiwowee's air base in the Generic Empire in the conflict). On the other hand, Nikoloas and the Greeks had over 200 aircraft, all based on land bases and outnumbered Mauiwowee by more than 3-to-1 in the air battle. The Greek craft were primarily composed of F-19A Tomcat type fighters, more or less equivalent to the Mauiwowee Harriers, but outclassed by Mauiwowee's stealth fighters. However, being out numbered by 3-to-1 odds, the Mauiwowee naval air forces didn't stand a chance. Of Mauiwowee's 72 planes, only 2 survived the conflict by making emergency landings in Euroslavia itself. Their pilots were later returned to Mauiwowee by Euroslavia. While Mauiwowee's air forces were decimated, it should be remembered that the Greek forces lost significant numbers of planes as well.

One of the more dramatic moments in the battle came when one of the Greek jets armed 8 patriot missiles, but before they could be fired the plane was struck by a targeted EMP pulse from the carrier Bhang II. When all the electronics failed on the plane, the Greek pilot, flying with a dead stick and no electronics at a speed close to Mach 1, managed to guide his plane into a direct hit on the carrier's conning tower. His plane and all 8 of his already armed missiles exploded on impact ripping the tower to pieces and causing it to collapse on the landing deck. The captain and most of the senior staff of the Bhang II were killed and it didn't take long after that for the Greek subs and other air forces to finish off the Bhang II.

It shouldn't be thought though that Mauiwowee just "rolled over" and died in the conflict. The losses to the Greek forces were significant and the victory was not without its cost to them as well. One tactic used by Mauiwowee that seemingly came as a surprise to the Greeks was the use of helicopter attacks. Mauiwowee "Blue Thunder" class choppers, flying so low their landing skids literally hit the tops of large swells in the ocean flew in at the Greek ships and launched a variety of patriot missiles and torpedos. Several Greek ships were heavily damaged as a result and more than a few were sunk as well. Apparently the low approach, speed and manuverability of the choppers hadn't been counted on and the Greek forces had a great deal of difficulty defending against these attacks. Unfortunately, Mauiwowee didn't have enough choppers (only about 20-25) available for use in this way to turn the tide in their favor. Most of the choppers (by best estimates, 15) safely returned to the Mauiwowee ships that managed to escape the area at the end of the battle.

Under the sea the going was even worse for Mauiwowee, it had 3 subs in the area, but only 2 actually were involved in the battle. The 3rd was a "special ops" sub that had landed a team of SEALs on Pirates Cove Island and when the fighting broke out, they submerged to the bottom of the channel between the island and the mainland and remained there, unnoticed by the Greeks. The captain of that sub said in a later statement that while he regretted the loss of Mauiwowee's naval forces, he knew that one more sub would make little difference in the battle's outcome and his SEAL team and their mission, on the other hand, could be of significant use in resolving the matter (apparently they were sent in to try and kidnap the sister of Euroslavia's Empress who it was feared was allied with either the Greeks or the communists). The two remaining subs were left to take on a force of approximately 20 Greek subs. It was an intense cat-and-mouse game for a while with the Mauiwowee subs possibly contributing to the sinking of a Greek ship or two and maybe one or two Greek subs. But in the end, both of Mauiwowee's subs went down with all hands lost.

At the end of the day, of Mauiwowee's two aircraft carriers, one was gone and the other so badly damaged due to craters in its landing deck from Greek missiles that it withdrew. Of the 8 battleships sent in by Mauiwowee, only 2 made it out, one of which was so badly damaged it was scuttled on the way home. The other only had 1 working gun turrent and ran on backup electrical power. Of Mauiwowee's 6 destroyers, only 1 made it out. Luckily it was relatively unscathed and it provided the cover for the other escaping Mauiwowee vessels. All 4 of Mauiwowee's medical ships escaped (and the Greeks must be congratulated on their decision not to fire on the medical ships and the captains of those ships must be congratulated on not entering into the frey despite their relatively strong combat capabilities). Both of Mauiwowee's sub-hunter ships were lost as well. It is believed they sunk a few subs, or at least damaged them, but no official stats could be located for this publication. Also, as noted above, the two Mauiwowee subs in the conflict were lost as well; with a 3rd sub remaining in the area, unknown to the Greeks, and involved in a special ops. task. All said and done that day, over 21,000 Mauiwowee sailors and pilots lost their lives and close to 1,200 were taken as prisoner of war by the Greeks after being picked up from the sea from ditched aircraft and sunken ships. In the next section we'll review the battle from the Greek perspective and review the figures on their losses in the battle as well as discuss what became of the POW's.

One final issue should be considered. What if the Greeks had left Mauiwowee alone, they (the Greeks) would not have suffered the losses they did which were significant, make no bones about it (though obviously not as bad as Mauiwowee's). However, if left alone, Mauiwowee's ability to intervene after the first air strike would have been limited to a few well placed surgical strikes and the odd cruise missile into Greek territory. Mauiwowee had no ground forces in the area and after the attack on the armoured column as it advanced into Euroslavia, they were severely limited in their ability to make significant strikes on the Greeks. It may be for this reason, after viewing the losses they were taking and had already taken in the sea battle, that the Greeks allowed the few Mauiwowee ships to withdraw that they did. Then again, the arrival of a significant naval force from Vastiva could also have played a part in the Greek decision. A discussion of the impact of the Vastivian navy in the area is included in later sections.

OOC: I know its long, but it was a hell of battle that needed to be described. That's why I was so P.O.'d when I lost it last night. Nikoloas, what say you? Euroslavia, what about you as it regards the battle and the SEAL team sent in to find Sinestra, will they succeed. CL, you're setting up shop in the middle of a war zone, what about you? IC: (continues) True, it was a "bonehead move" by Flt Adm Sif Mesfin al-Din, but then again, was it? Cayton was her actual target, which she did deal with, and in a relatively short period (with extensive damage to the invaders, including the destruction of the Quezadrian 3rd fleet, the port they were using to land and four freighters worth of supplies. This quashed the Quezadrian advance completely and in short order).

That the 4th Fleet was in position to help - but late because of mission objectives - and W-2, -3, and -4 and the 5th fleet were still way out of position - the last being at the southern end of the Suez Canal at the time of the incident - merely points to what happens in the confusion of sudden war. In this case, Vastiva was not in the best of positions, and as a result, was of little aid in the initial stages of the conflict to come.

With confirmation received from Euroslavian officials, the Iuthian Army started its preparations; mostly just additional supplies, ammunition and replacement parts, but also additional training was do when possible in order to assure that the Peace Keepers knew the differences in the Euroslavian law in comparison to that of Iuthian law.

Little expense was spared in assuring the men (and women) were well equipped and prepared for the task ahead. Peacekeepers would police secure areas and make sure that they stayed secure. The Black Vipers themselves were being ordered to bolster the Peace Keepers efforts by offering mobile support in each city.

Within a couple days the first transports and groups of men were ready to be shipped out, air transport may be faster but it's often impractical as number and logistical limits restrained the number of men that could be moved and land at once. The ocean was seen to be a safer option with larger carrying capacity and room for additional equipment, not to mention a strong naval force to protect them.

Overall about a division of Iuthian Peace Keepers would be deployed in order to assist their long held friend, after that smaller brigades of Black Viper forces would come in for more specialized roles... but the priorities were to reinforce the Euroslavia government to try and keep the government, which had good relations with Iuthia, in control.

With the first shipment of Iuthian reinforcements leaving for Euroslavia a large number of the Iuthian public crowded at the military deepwater port to watch their sons, daughters, fathers, husbands and wives leave for the dangerous lands of Euroslavia. With the Iuthian anthem playing at full volume, the first shipment left leaving hundreds, if not thousands, of crying loved ones hoping that they would come back in one piece.

With all the violence that was occurring in the city around them, the environment in the Iuthian Embassy was becoming worried and had since past such levels as "concerned". Ambassador Jerry Lewton had been in Euroslavia ever since the start of Iuthia's good relations with the Euroslavian people, and now he was quickly packing his belongings...

Euroslavia is too unstable to keep an embassy open, the Euroslavia government couldn't assure their safety and the small garrison of men that the embassy held wouldn't hold up against a rebel attack. It seemed to be a well equipped and organized rebellion and they didn’t want to risk their own staff.

So the decision was made, they were to vacate the embassy and leave Euroslavia. The army would help pacify the rebellion and secure the nation for their return... but right now they were only in danger and the benefits of the embassy had been over shadowed by the dangers. People had family here and couldn't afford to stay any longer.

A call went out to the Euroslavia government to state this in writing, along with requests for assistance securing their exit from the nation itself. All they could do now was prepare their personal effects and get ready.

Marcus Juano simply sat in his bunk, contemplating what would happen when they finally reached Euroslavia. The situation wasn't hadn't got any better since they started mobilization and it would seem that Iuthia is going to play a part in the fight against rebellion. In fact in some respects the rumors suggest it was getting worse still as the rebels got more confident in their attacks against the government.

Marcus had never been in a real combat situation before, of course he had trained day and night and even in similar environments... but they were only pale shades of the real thing to come. Now he and his unit would face real opposition from real people fighting for whatever reasons, probably wanting him, the enemy, dead. There would be no "beers" after the session, there would be no second chances... this was it and it scared the crap out of him.

However, Marcus was a career soldier, not some 18 year old rookie serving his compulsory service, no sane general would allow those kids to do the work of men in something so important. Marcus was around 22, coming up to his 23rd Birthday in a couple months... most of his unit was about the same age, in other units they may be anything from 20 years old to 35 years, in some cases more but not often. He is supposed to be used to pressure, yet still he got the shakes.

Dawn broke near the Euroslavian port, the warm sun shone its way on the docks lighting up the assortment of concrete with the freights adding to color. In the distance the Iuthian ships could be seen, slowly advancing towards the troubled nation... many of the escort vessels had been hanging around for some time before the main transport group was in sight, but they needed to secure the area and check in with Euroslavia officials at the port. Helicopters and planes passed overhead, the CVN Snegurochka came along for additional air support to assure that the Transport Vessels arrived without harm and possibly as additional support; the firepower of the Carrier's air wing may not be required, but it would at least offer something more then the Rebels may have, though it isn't a large part of the operation as a whole.


With time the transport vessels were cleared for docking and arrived bit by bit, each carrying part of the Iuthian Army for this operation... there was no ceremony in the process of docking the ships, the implications were understood by all. Carefully, the ships started to unload their cargo, thousands of eager men and tones of supplies and equipment.

Iuthia had arrived and not a moment too soon…


OOC: Not that I normally don't skip so much, but I have been catching up. So meh.

Vastivan practicality and hospitality were both well-known internationally. And as such, both the 222nd and 6299th MASH were overrun by civilians and swamped with requests to deliver potential wounded to them by members of the coalition nearly as soon as they landed.

The 222nd had set up shop on the Vastivan embassy; the 6299th decided to bivouac next to the airport. In both cases, transport helicopters – ranging from Hueys to “mobile trauma unit” Mi-26D HALO’s – stood at the ready to pick up and deliver wounded to the MASH units in the shortest times possible; both units had put smaller “EMT” units nearer the potential front lines for first response.

What neither side had been fully appraised of was the presence of Greek (transported to the 222nd) and Mauiwowee (at the 6299th) sailors in both units. Vastivan helicopters were well versed in Coast Guard operations, and some 284 sailors had been pulled from the ocean in various states and transported for emergency aid. Conditions ranged from waterlogged to shark-nibbled to seriously wounded and burned.

Without regard for language or side, Vastivan medical personnel worked well into the night, waging an unsung war against the Grim Reaper.

What happened next was typical of Vastiva, and set the stage for later events. The Greeks had managed an 89% survival rate (compared to the Mauiwowee’s 86%); most expected to be deported to POW camps and interrogation rooms.

Instead, Vastivan helicopters got clearance from coalition members for aerial reconnaissance missions - which they did indeed fly, getting several good aerial views of Greek positions which were to be used by Coalition artillery in the later combat.

What was not mentioned to any member of the coalition was the three Mi-26D’s which landed far behind Greek lines, unloaded 126 Greek sailors into the hands of Greek regular troops – and flew off, unmolested.

121 Mauiwowee sailors would be flown to be reacquainted with the remnants of their fleet two days later.

Iuthian Artillery

OOC: You'll want to change this to "Euroslavian Artillery" on the grounds that I don't have Artillery in Euroslavia... all my posts indicated that I'm using Peace Keepers (i.e policemen soldiers) and around 100 soldiers in each city with Black Halk like craft for fast support of the Iuthian Peace Keepers so that if a vicious riot breaks out they have assistance with marksmen and heavy soldiers. Artillery would be against the Iuthian objectives in Euroslavia.

"Well sire, we were fighting in Nikoloas' own back yard so to speak. With the loss of our ability to use our forces in the Generic Empire we didn't have any back up forces that could get there in time. Overall Nikoloas has sustained more losses than we did though. We need to play that part up to the public."

"Crap, I know that General, I understand PR, believe me. I understand Communist Louisisana has forces there now to, how did they get past our blockade of the Gulf of Mexico?"

"Apparently the ships they sent did not sail from Louisiana directly, but were rather already at sea and just diverted there."

"Well hell, I'm not sending any more of our men in to die now. I want a heroes welcome staged for our ships and men that return. Send a telegram to Vastiva thanking them for the rescue and return of our sailors and offer them something for it - hell, I don't know what, offer to pay their medical bills, something. "We're awaiting word on that sire, I'll let you know as soon as I know."

"OK, tell them to keep a low profile and get the hell out of there if there is any chance of conflict involving them. I want that sub and it's men safe. Over in the Euroslavian port the Iuthian soldiers were now organized into their separate forces and were in the process of both further fortifying the port as their main source of logistical support as well as equipping their Peace Keepers and re-capping on the differences in law, even though they would mostly be looking after the more general laws and keeping the peace it would be important to know what was acceptable and what wasn’t.

Major General Lewis simply sat and thought about the role of his Division in this war. The soldiers from Euroslavia would need to have some heat taken off of them if they are going to keep the invaders at bay and in a sense that was the role of the Iuthian Peace Keepers. Iuthia's relatively small number of men would make a point of looking after the cities and helping the overrun police forces do their jobs. Outside his men were getting their supplies together and organizing the logistical side of their operation. Meanwhile others who had already got prepared were now securing the surrounding area.

Now it was just a matter of getting hold of the Euroslavia battle masters in order to report in and get their orders.

Marcus Juano was now suiting up with the rest of his squad mates, the shakes had got worst since he disembarked from their transport vessel, only the vigorous work prevented others from seeing how nervous he was. Euroslavia was a warm enough place but they would need to unload their supplies… Iuthia would be damned if their friends would be paying for this operation.

He could feel that it was only a matter of time now that his team would depend on him and no matter how hard he tried this was not just a drill... every sense was real, every moment was catalogued as though it may be his last. Now all the bullets would be real and they could be fired at him in order to kill him.

Few others seemed to be concerned about this, the spirits where reasonably good in the circumstances and while many were concerned that this is their first real experience, they were also excited.

Soon orders would come in and they would be on the move...

Meanwhile at home, another transport vessel was preparing to leave for Euroslavia. However, the public were not invited for this parting... the Iuthian Black Viper Specialists often didn't have any family and the goodbyes being said were more private. These men and women were the specialized soldier Elite of Iuthia; specialized in anything from anti-terrorism to demolitions... each Black Viper had their own specialist subject.

This Battalion of men was specialized in anti-terrorism, trained to operate in varying methods of removing terrorism. It wasn’t publicized and the communication was sent by hand to assure that no one other then the Empress and her officials would know about their arrival. They were dressed entirely like the Black Vipers being sent as support for the Peace Keepers, only their role was completely different, these men and women would actively hunt down the communist terrorists.

Iuthia wasn’t against communism… hell, around five of its allies were communist and many others were socialist in one form or another. However, the important issue was that Iuthia preferred the way Euroslavia was, it had good relations with Iuthia and those relations benefitted both nations, some nut job commies could very well hate Iuthia because of its connections with the previous leadership and as such it would be against Iuthia’s interests for them to take charge… in any case they were terrorists and it’s Iuthian policy to help it’s friends conquer terrorism, not to mention various treaties Iuthia was interested in were against terrorism. It would be a good practice for the Black Vipers.

Without ceremony, the ship left port… it wouldn’t be long now before they reach their destination.

It seemed as if the Communists planned a massive attack within Euroslavia in order to coordinate and get more effective results. The sun had just risen in Euroslavia, but across the entire nation, a revolt began. Even in space, orbiting Earth, it was suspected that explosion all across the frontier of Euroslavia were seen. It was as if Euroslavia had been bombarded by 'rocks' from space.


In the city of Nasrad, over 20,000 Communist and Socialist volunteers alike rose up against Euroslavian authority before majority of the peacekeepers from other nations could fully set up stations. Thousands of citizens have been killed, and the first major city of Euroslavia had fallen into Communist hands.

In the city of Arcadia, approximately 40,000 volunteers had risen up at the same time. Fortunately, the rebellion was suppressed, but not without many losses. Arcadia is the most guarded city of Euroslavia, seeing as it was the capital. If Euroslavia were to lose its own capital, the results would be devastating.

Similar attacks have been occurring in the cities of Pyrynn and Valua. It is approximated that over a million deaths had been inflicted over the past few days of fighting; more than any other war that Euroslavia has ever participated in for its entire existance.

OOC: This is where everyone who stationed troops in my cities can begin interaction with the Communists.

The Armies of Euroslavia continued their pursuit of Nikolaos' troops. A massive conflict was at hand, seeing as both of the Armies were within a mile of each other now. Sights of the hoplites of the Greek Army had begun to be reported. The only thing left was to carry out an assault to rout out the Greeks from Euroslavia, and to wipe out their homeland, and add it to the Euroslavic Empire.

General Celes Erzebet herself was itching for a conflict with the Greeks after the last Conference they had. She had a grudge for that man...Achilles and wanted him dead. She even preferred to kill him with her own bare hands. This seemed to satisfy her, that is, until it happened in real life.

As the 'almost 2 million man' Army caught up to the hoplites, they began to open fire within the small town of Li Yang, which was occupied by the Greeks, the first time any foreign army had occupied anything within the sovereign nation of Euroslavia. I guess there's a first time for everything. Mortars were fired along with the firepower of the tanks to back them up. General Celes ordered an all out assault. Even if it meant losing more soldiers, it would be alright, just as long as the Greeks are slain, and the price of invading Euroslavia was paid justly.

Secret Transmission to Iuthian Military Command


Your forces have arrived just in time. Rebellions are occurring all across Euroslavia, and our military is having a hard time putting them down. Currently, the city of Nasrad in under Communist Command, and other cities of Valua, Pyrynn, and even Arcadia are under seige. Pyrynn is expected to fall within weeks. We suggest that a majority of your peacekeepers enter in Arcadia, for obvious reasons (seeing as it is our capital, it Arcadia falls, Euroslavia falls). We deeply regret that our friendship must be put to such a straining test, and hope that Iuthia does not forget about our people.

OOC: How hard would it be to attack Arcadia?

The Intelligence Committee within Euroslavia was scrambling to predict any other sort of attacks from the USCB/Nikolaos the Great/and any other nation that may become hostile to Euroslavia. However, they were failing. The miscalculations that led to the fall of Nasrad and the seige of other major cities within Euroslavia was a grave blunder, perhaps one of the biggest blunders in the entire war. These errors may end up costing millions of lives, and even the lives of the entire heads of the government, including the Empress herself. The seige of Arcadia left the Empress encircled by the USCB volunteer forces, although, the Euroslavian military was launching an offensive to beat back the USCB. It seemed as if support for the Communists (USCB) would never end. Volunteer forces continued to take up arms and fight the Royalists of the Euroslav government. Morale was at an all-time low for the entire nation of Euroslavia, despite the high success rate of the Euroslavic Military against Nikolaos the Great.

Given their role in the Euroslavian rebellion, Iuthian Peace Keeper split into their various battalions for deployment in various cities across mainland Euroslavia. The majority of Peace Keepers were sent to Valua, Pyrynn, and Arcadia, though Arcadia would have the largest concentration.

Meanwhile, Major General Lewis made a point of noting to the Euroslavians that while Peace Keepers are capable of performing the job of a soldier; they weren't equipped for the job and wouldn't be as effective as normal Iuthian Infantry. Their job was to simply make sure that the cities law and order remained during this time of chaos and seeing as most rebellions don't have a force to fight it was more about working with the hearts and minds of people on the street level... the Peace Keepers are lightly arm and armoured which was designed so they wouldn't look like a occupying force, but instead a police authority to make sure chaos doesn't break out (as that would be bad for everyone).

When a potentially violent situation occured, Black Viper quick responce teams in Hippogriff Support Craft (like Black Halk Helicopters, only more future tech) would be deployed to support Peace Keepers and respond against any threats posed by militants. One such incident required a Black Viper marksmen to take out a militant pining down some Peace Keepers who were trying to control a peaceful protest. The tensions were high and things were becoming dangerous.

Marcus Juano was in the thick of it when the shit hit the fan... he and his team mates had discovered a small weapons cache while investigating a disturbance in a rough part of town. They were trained to be policemen, but they had enough military training to feel safe even in this part of town.

Marcus knew he should have just had a brief look, the two men seemed to be very nervous and seemed to be trying to hide something. If they had just walked away things would have been much more smooth; they could have informed the Black Vipers to look into it and there wouldn't be anything left other then a bullet riddled home, cleared out. However, Marcus and his team mates wanted the big catch.

It wasn't long before the two men lost their cool followed by a short fire fight, injuring one of Marcus's friends and forcing them to fall back to their Jeep... however, making matter worse, other people in the area had taken notice of the pinned down group and it seems more then just a couple of them had weapons, fully automatic weapons. Any attempt to move out from behind their Jeep resulted in a spray of bullet.

Desperately Marcus called for backup... "E.T.A two minutes" they had said, but two minutes may not be long enough. With their limited cover things were getting hairy as a couple more shot rang of the armoured Jeeps bonnet.

The ports in Euroslavia were getting relatively crowded given the Iuthian support now entering the country... shipments of supplies would often arrive to make sure that the Iuthian's in the region wouldn't be taking supplies from the Euroslavians.

Whats more a fair few Iuthia military vessels, including one Carrier, protected the deep water port from their distant positions.

A rather non-descipt shipment arrived with some additional Black Viper support troops, they were dressed in the same manner as the other who arrived with the Iuthian Peace Keepers, however it wasn't public knowledge that these men and women were the part of the Iuthian military elite who hunted terrorists. Some of them would infiltrate, others would be more assault based. Whatever the case they were going to be deployed in Arcadia to do there bit in the fight against terrorism in Euroslavia.

“Emperor, the Ionian Air Force reports a victory over the Mauiwowee fleet. And those fools think we lost many fighters and vessels out there but they have no idea that our air force and navy is much larger!”

“Very good that will show them and every other nation never to get in the way of my conquest.”

The Euroslavia border town, Li Yang.

“Euroslavians at 12 o’clock!”

The two of the soldiers that didn’t see the enemy where unlucky enough to be shot in the head.

“Open fire at will! Come on get those artilleries loaded up and get the tanks to shoot too. Spread the word to the soldiers that the Euroslavians are entering in the northern part of the city.”

“Yes Achilles.”

Soldiers where running toward the northern front and the people in the houses where afraid they will all die.

The hoplites opened fired on the Euroslavians and got there swords ready for deadly close to close combat. Achilles walked toward the northern front and said to his generals.

“Leave General Celes to me. I will personally kill her.”

“That will be the day when my sword will be piercing through her and killing the most powerful General in the Balkans. Yes…I can almost see it now.” Achilles though to himself.

The Euroslav military was losing men by the seconds. Hundreds of casualties had already been recorded. This was even before the military was in short range of the enemy. It was noticed that some of the Greek hoplites were running into civilian houses to hide from the advancing Slavic assault. It seems as if they're all scared that they will be defeated.

General Celes was walking at a very fast past towards the enemy. She was certainly seeing red. Achilles was only a few hundred meters away, staring her down, while the rest of the militaries were fighting. Some of the Greek troops tried to kill her, but she took care of them with ease. She was now within 50 meters of her nemesis. There was nothing she wanted more than Achilles head on a platter. He was the only thing standing in her way to a military victory over the Greeks.

Achilles look very bloodthirsty when he saw General Celes just a few meters away. Hundreds of Greek soldiers where passing by him to engage the enemy. He still didn’t lose eye contact with General Celes. He took out his long steel sword. He charged toward Celes and ready to strike the General.

Celes was finally within 10 meters of Achilles. Her wishes had finally been granted. She will finally be able to slay this man, and rid the region of evil. Suddenly, Achilles began to scream, and charge towards her. She pulled out her sword and defended herself by blocking his quick stab at her. Celes took this opportunity to make a stab at him, not enough to actually kill him, but to taunt him more or less. Then they both began to pace with their swords lowered.

Celes stared into Achilles' eyes; they seemed to burn with hatred, as if he made some sort of pact to allow the devil himself to occupy his body for a brief time. So many things raced through her head. What if he did kill her? What if this would be her final battle?

This isn't something I need to worry about right now, damn it. Focus Celes! You know damn well that Achilles is no match for yourself. Now finish this!

Celes gave a quick smirk at her own thoughts and rose her sword just as she noticed Achilles flinching. He drew his sword up again and they began to duel. At first, Achilles consistently went on the offensive, trying to pry through Celes' quick motions, but to no avail. Celes stayed calm, and blocked every possible attack from Achilles, so that he would waste his energy. She began to concentrate, and think of certain strategies by the way that Achilles moved. Majority of the time, Achilles would try to strike low, and block high, so Celes took the opportunity to switch it up a little. She began to strike low as well, and caught Achilles off guard. The force at which she struck Achilles sword knocked him over to the ground, sending his sword flying a few feet away.

Celes took this opportunity to finish it all. As soon as Achilles got up and began to run for the sword, she ran around to block him. They both stood there, staring at each other for about 5 seconds, until Celes finally finished it. She took her sword, and stabbed him low, where again, he didn't expect her to attack, and he slumped to the ground, bleeding to death. She took the sword out, only to see Achilles fall to the ground, but with his last breath of air, he looked up at her and said...

“No…this can’t be happening…I cannot be defeated by her…I failed Greece...I must…” and with that Achilles, son of Nikolaos, Supreme General of the Hoplites, died…

One of the hoplites saw this and dropped his weapon by his shock and so did all the hoplites around him. The hoplites fighting back at the town heard that Achilles died and they dropped there weapons too. But some resisted and fought on hard against the Euroslavian soldiers but there was to many of them. More and more Euroslavians forces kept coming in the town…

Col. Sams Ung, leader of the Mauiwowee SEAL team on Pirates Cove Island new a good distraction when he saw it.

"Men, everyone is watching the naval/air battle, even Communist Louisiana's men, now's our chance."

With that the team of 15 SEALs managed to sneak by the troops of the other nations without notice, headed to the underground bunker in the center of the island that their intelligence forces had learned about through contact with the Empress's secret service forces. Sure enough, the hidden entrance was where they had been told it was. Quietly they made their way down the tunnels.

"They're holed up all the way" said Col. Ung. They don't want to be discovered."

Soon the SEALs reached the end where the tunnels opened into a large cavern. Looking in to the cavern they saw about 12 people, dressed in civilian clothes, hunched over computers and operating encrypted communications devices. There were no guards to speak of.

"They obviously thought they were completely hidden and didn't need any military personnel" thought Col. Ung. Slowly spreading out, with the stealth that only a true SEAL can muster, the team surrounded the team before they new what had happened. Upon seeing the SEAL's the computer and communications operators raised their hands to the sky. It was then the tall, distinguished woman approached the team from the small office that had been built into the cavern's wall near the back"

"How dare you!" she said "just who the hell do you think you are. This is a private research facility. You have no business here! Threatening my scientists with guns! Just who the hell do you think you are?"

"Sinestra, I presume" said Col. Ung. Men, take her.

With that, before she could react, the SEALs took hold of the sister of the Empress of Euroslavia.

"Ms. Sinestra" said Col. Ung. "You can't bullshit me. This is no research facility and these are not scientists. This is a command and control center and I'd venture to say you're behind the commie uprising in your sister's dominion. You mam, are coming with us. Men, you know what to do."

With that, several shots were fired at what appeared to be the key communications and computer installations, disabling them. Then the entire group of Sinestra's men were escorted outside through the tunnels. The communications people were let go and told to go cry to the the commies from Louisiana, as soon as they got free from the duck tape that is. It was tricky, but the team made it back for the rendevous with the sub and with their prisoner. Mauiwowee's navy had lost the battle, but they had some pull now, they had the sister of the empress: Ms. Sinestra herself. The only question was, what to do with her (besides lock her in the brig that is).

The captian of the sub and Col. Ung discussed the situation for quite a while as the sub stealthaly snuck out of the hostile waters.

The first landing of 5 C-17 Globemaster's were met with the cheers from the construction workers as well as Red Troops already located on the island. The planes slowly stopped and were quickly opened. In all some 20 M3A3 Bradley Fighting Vehicle's were unloaded along with more supplies for the troops. A majority of the construction workers then proceeded to board the plane along with a few peices of the constrution equipment. The aircraft were soon taking off once again

The 222nd and 6299th were light years beyond where the original MASH units in Korea had been - these were just short of modern hospitals, staffed and ready to receive divisions worth of casualties.

Even so, both units were swamped badly. Supplies were airlifted right off the decks of the 4th Fleet's freighters, flown to the MASH units - and devoured by wounded almost as quickly as they came in.

At sea, Fleet Admiral Sif Mesfin al-Din held back her flights of F-125 Gyrafalcon air superiority fighters to defensive postures; the ground war remained too haphazard to commit flights to any particular missions beyond swatting down anything stupid enough to attempt to approach her fleet. But the front line was fluid, inexact - which were the Euroslavian Communists, and which the Loyalists? Sure, she could fire on the Greek positions - she had informed Vastiva's allies of her fleets willingness to commit to fire missions - but as yet, none had been requested. Instead, her helicopters were requested for rescue and close support.

She shook her head and watched the scene on the bridge OVERSIGHT display.

"Admiral? We have transports coming from an island..."
"Island? Euroslavia mentioned no island bases. Bring it up on full view."

The view expanded; the resolution was so great, Communist Louisiana's markings stood out against the grey armors of their M3A3s.

"Very not good. Relay to Euroslavia what is going on. Watch for the next inbound flight. Have four strike wings ready to intercept."
"Aye-aye, sir!"

The sub surfaced, a brief coded transmission was sent and the sub submerged to maximum depth. They were well outside the danger zone, even further out than Vastiva's ships, but the Captain was taking no chances.


To the Empress Destra, Euroslavia, King 'Lude II, Mauiwowee,

The sounds of jets filled the air over the island where the CL troops were setting up camp. The Patriot Missile Batteries were quickly locked on. As the jets flew around and seemed to approaching the remote airstrip which had become increasingly smooth with the work that the Red Troops did on it. One of the Red Troops ran to his commanding officer and reported the situation

Private Anderson- Sir, some 7 F-4G Advanced Wild Weasel's have just landed from one of our carrier's in route have just landed here sir.

The commanding officer walked out and went to talk to the piolets

Piolet 1- We were sent by Admiral Dufour to tell you that some of the 3rd Red Fleet has been dispatched to the area. They are bringing supplies and what not to the troops stationed here. There estimated time of arrival is 1 day.

The commander nodded and shook the piolets hand. The Red Troops helped the piolets move the aircraft off the main runway as the commander walked back into the field headquaters

"Relay all findings to Euroslavian, Mauiwowee, and Iuthian commanders. See if anyone has anything in the area to go take a look on a more personal basis."

Two SHARD (solar high altitude reconaissance drone) drones were catapulted off the carrier Lochase. Immediately, short range rockets blasted them to nearly three miles up - then fell away as the SHARDs props took over and buzzed them up to full altitude.

Lazilly, the two remote drones flew towards the island. The lack of metal in their construction made them nearly invisible to radar, and their "old fashioned" engines counted out IR. They rode the air currents, cutting in bursts of powered flight when their small computers decided it was the right thing to do.

In just over two hours, they were lazilly circling high above, slowly spiraling into an overhead view.

We too have watched the seemingly incongruit actions of the CL fleet, we anticipate it has to do with our blockade of the Gulf of Mexico, a blockade we called off in order to assist allies in Sarzonia in an unrelated conflict (OOC: is that right CL?). Please continue to do as you are doing. There is no need to risk your personnel in combat at this time. We posses a key to the conflict and you will be made aware of the nature of this key in due course. In the meantime, unless you desire to take on CL alone, continue to assert your neutrality as a provider of medical assistance only. That said, Euroslavia doesn't seem to have a great deal invested in the island where CL is "setting up shop." and we have no intention of stopping them from creating a toe-hold there. It is when they come to the aid of the commie insurgents in Euroslavia's mainland and/or launch an invasion there that we will become involved with military might again. The 25 Large, Medium-speed, Roll-on/Roll-off Ships (LMSR) went forward past the rest of the fleet till the ships were close to about a quater mile offshore. The doors began to open and a total of 100 M-34 Amphibious Main Battle Tank's began to roll out into the lite choppy waters. They were given close air support by 100 RAH-66 Comanche's. As the Tanks began to crawl upon the beach, about 100 Red Troops stationed on the island began to jog towards the many tanks

OCC: I would have put more thought into it but, I had surgery this morning and I am sore as hell.

"General Ripper" said King 'Lude, "Do you think Nikolaos would swap our POW's for Sinestra?"

"Probably sire, I can't say for sure, but it would be a tempting offer to him - to have the sister of the empress who had his son killed. On the other hand, Destra may not care. In any event, If we made such an offer to Nikolaos we'd be taking a stance against Euroslavia, we'd be traitors in the worst sense of the word - no one would ever trust us again."

"Oh, I know that" said the king "I don't plan to offer her to Nikolaos. However, we've got her and we need to figure out how best to use her as a bargaining chip to end this war."

"What about offering her to Communist Louisiana in exchange for him getting our POW's out of Greece and getting Euroslavia to cede the Pirate's Cove island to him?"

"Not bad, once again though, we have betrayed Euroslavia and I'm not going to do that unless they f*** us over first. Send a coded message to the sub telling them to stand tight and to not mistreat Sinestra. They are NOT to harm her in any way. She is a member of royalty and deserving of treatment in accordance with her station in life. However, keep her secure and unable to screw up anything and they are to get as far away from the hostilities and Euroslavia as possible. I want them in the open sea and hidden from the world. It's hard to free a prisoner on a sub in the middle of the ocean when you don't know where the sub is and escape is impossible. Also, lets just play some poker. Notify the world we are holding her. Lets see how everyone reacts."

The silos are nearing completion generals. The silos will be nuclear armed within the next day. The landing of the M-34 Amphibious Main Battle Tank's will come in handy if we are engaged by the enemy. We have about 15 F-4G Advanced Wild Weasel's in the air at all times and we have the rest of the aircraft on stand by and will be able to launch them to protect the island within 3 minutes.

General Celes looked at the Greek Army. They stopped at the sight of the death of their great General Achilles. The war was practically won. At that moment, the Greek hoplites dropped their weapons and gave up. The Euroslavic Army was able to capture 500 Greek soldiers as POW's.

The Euroslavic Army continued its pursuit of the Greek Army, by launching a counter-offensive against Nikolaos the Great. The remaining Army began to march into NtG territory, setting to claim the entire nation of NtG as its own. But it would seem that the revolution within Euroslavia would have a greater influence on current events. The legitimate government of Euroslavia is currently surrounded by the Communist volunteer forces, and seeking a nation to go into exile. It was concluded that Vastiva would be the nation to transport the government to their own nation, that is, until Euroslavia will be safe again to return, and claim leadership once more...

"Your Highness" said General Jack T. Ripper "Nikolaos has replied to our broadcast and stated he would trade our POW's for Sinestra, but if we didn't trade he'd try our prisoners for "war crimes". You were right about his willingness to do that. Destra, the Empress herself, has taken her government into exile in Vastiva, apparently ceding control of Euroslavia to the commies for the time being. CL, in the mean time has fortified the island and may even be installing nuclear missile silos there."

"Damn" said King 'Lude "The Empress has cut and run, what is she up to. Let Nikolaos hang for a bit, let's see what the Empress says about her sister. Besides, what "war crimes" we were defending ouselves against his attack and defending a sovereign nation he invaded. We committed no "war crimes" The international community will condemn him for sham trials, surely. Has CL said anything about Sinestra?"

"No Sire, I'd guess they could care less, if they can control the commies in Euroslavia, why would they need her?"

"As a puppet/figurehead, that's why. How better to control the Euroslavian commies than by controlling their "natural born" leader. Again, lets just wait a bit longer and see what anyone else has to say.
