"Today is an exciting day for the people of Avadria." A reporter said. His yellow armband wore the letters ANNC, showing that he was from the Avadrian National News Corporation. He was one of the many new reporters, covering the uneventful but nonetheless historic reports.
"As of tweleve noon today the official population of the Empire has reached one-billion people." He went on saying, a mild tone of enthusiasim in his voice.
"We have been told that Chancellor Faulkner will be giving a speech written by the Emperor himself, commemorating today, later on." He said, wrapping it up with: "This is Terik Dranzig in the Imperial Plaza with ANNC news, back to you Hilde."
Terik let out a deep breath of relief as the camera went off, but couldn't help but smile. It had been his first real report and surely more would come.
