This is nothing to do with any earths other than RL earths. There will be no discussion of muliple earths in this thread. Is that understood? Yes? Good.

Im getting a little confused as to which thread is generally accepted on NS, Chellis's claim thread of Holy Panooly's claim thread. Therefore I want to know which oen most of NS accepts so i can use that one for reference.

I use both (though I'm still waiting for Chellis to ratify my claim....).

I accept both. Mine is more in-dept for International Incidends and Chellis' one is better for the more serious RP's.

i dont accept any of them, there are hundreds of thousands of nations in NS,many with populations of a billion or more, a regular sized earth couldn't possible support so many, so i use the idea of a super-huge earth with multiple contients, for example there are as many africas as there are nations who claim land there.

You don't understand, these claim threads recognise the existance of other landmasses, but they also contain the information about which NS nations control which RL landmasses.

Indeed they do, but that matters not if you stick to the maxim that every nation exists. Plus I love HP's maps.

The RL claim threads only cover RL territory, not NS landmasses. Nations dont need to have RL landmasses to exist.

I don't care actually. I only added the tag RL CLAIM to let people know it isn't on earth whatever. It's listed by HP, fine with me. If Chellis does the same I wouldn't be bothered.

That's a good point, but I don't want this thread turning into an Earth X debate. Just a reminder :)

Although I consider the whole concept of grabbing RL land for prestiege and penis waving to be a poor one.

RL nations grabbed land for various reasons: prestige, money, people etc. That's what the colonial era was all about, and then they ran out of land. In NS we dont have that problem.

I recognise none of them, anyone I happen to RP with who claims such & such piece of RL land I simply accept that & hold it to be true for future reference.

It's a lot simpler method than using claim threads but only really works if you're not engaged in RPs with multiple people who are also engaged in multiple RPs, then you reach problems.

I only accept the NS Earth. Anything else is meaningless.
