The Minister of Foreign Relations sighed. He had finally finished the proclamation regarding TFU :

We will not trade with TFU. Any private companies eeeking raw materials, and later, selling the product to TFU will have anathema cast upon them by Solarais. Any TFU citizen entering Solarais space will be killed. Diplomats from the TFU will be killed. Any Nation allying themselves with the TFU will be regarded as TFU states. (The IC reason for this is quite, quite hidden)

Any nation at war with the TFU will get some economic help from us, providing they prove it. Any TFU incursion into our borders will be dealt with.

While the Federal Union and Penguenia don't have the best of relations, we find the extra consequences of your embargo to go beyond what is necessary to hurt TFU economically.

OOC: I don't have much against TFU personally, but it is an IC reason, and TFU seemed the best one for it.

The Kingdom of Weyr will have no part in the recent actions made by our ally, Solarais. If a nation wants to shorten its life expectancy by several centuries and get prematurely glassed, then that is its choice. If a nation wants to randomly commit acts of agression against another nation, then that is also its choice. However, any attempts by the entity of Solarais to implicate the Kingdom of Weyr in its recent actions against the Federal Union will be considered a breach of faith and a possible act of war against the Kingdom of Weyr and the United Weyrik Prefectures.

No, not really. If I consider your diplomats as being criminals by entering my territory illegally, and none of your diplomatic documents will prove anything to me, I am simply killing a few spies, or common criminals. Plus, I have given them fair warning. The killing of your people is simply an inducement of merchants to stay out.

Amazing as it may sound, I am most likely not a 'threat' to the 'security' of the galaxy. I am being unreasonle. Somewhat unreasonle, anyway.. A real threat to the security of the galaxy are people like the Shivans, (been reading a few old threads) who attempt genocide. Stopping TFU goods coming into my borders in not at all compromising the security of the galaxy. 'Dealt with accordingly'? I am not the one putting a blockade on TFU space. He is blockading ME. That is an act of war. Deciding to be xenophobic if one nation comes into your borders, for an IC reason, is not an act of war. It is simply being unreasonable with dealings of that nation. If I blockaded your space, your worlds, etc, and stopped all trade happening, it would be an act of war. (OOC: TFU's bloackade isn't hurting trade at all, FTL travel is hard to bloackade.)

So, if he attempted to stop my ships leaving my territory, into 'no mans land', I would have the right to fire upon him. Understand now?

I believe TFU has Gravity Wells, and/or Subspace distorters. Most futuristic technology nations use them. I use them as a kind of border stop. In other words, FTL travel would be effectively shut down.

By FTL, I do not mean primitive FTL methods. Methods such as Warp Gates, Ionizing protection, and a few others a utilitised. Plus I have a fricken huge space empire (not by population, but a massive amount of space is covered( He cannot effectively blockade my space borders. It is impossible, without perhaps making use of the entiure TFU fleet.

5 merchant frigates, the SS Hailene, the SS Yrvoi, the SS Oin, the SS Frogger and the SS Gorona all began going through subspace in TFU blockaded area. They were manned by a few enterprising pilots, who thought that the TFU fleet, being as large as it was, would want luxuries. They could then report info back to the Solarias Council, for even more money. The ships slowly began to jet towards the TFU fleet..

However, You are killing an ally's citizens, and from our standpoint, you are a threat to peace and security for that reason. Who is to say that you won't begin to kill other nations' citizens, including ours? Despite all protestations, that may very well be happening, and as such, we are taking precautions, and a serious interest in you.

Actually, I never killed any citizens. I gave the warning because
1) I gave an embargo. If he could just walk citizens in and out, who isnt to say he would know exactly what I was doing due to spies.

Consider this. If my laws are that all TFU citizens are to be killed, its not an act of war. My laws are my laws. Essentially, all you did was choose to interfere with my sovreignity. Nothing more, nothing less. Which IS an act of war. I may've incited you, but I did nothing wrong (In the war-declaring run of things) You responded to what I did with a direct blockade, and then attacked me. Deal with it. You are the offender. My nation may have idiots in office, but yours has offending idiots.

Also, two more things.

1) TFU, could I please have your MSN/IRC (I have nothing else, if not, I can give you a link to download IRC) name.

2) TIN, you would not have any citizens in my country. They would all be burned alive before they got a chance to do anything. My people live on extremely hot planets, the larger the better.

How hot. Describe thy race to me (archaism gets to be a habit...)

Let me explain a few things

A) For their own safety, other races are not allowed on our planets. Exceptions can be made for extremely important state occasions.
Solaraisi live on heat. This includes the heat generated by anything. Planets, humans, other races.... The heat absorption is natural, and happens like humans grow new skin. Solaraisi cannot stand to live near one another, and so each takes up about 5 square Km of the planet. Any other race coming in a Solaraisi's territory will be either

1) Incinirated due to the exceedingly high temperatures.

2) Have the heat drained from their bodies, and, subsequently, die.

Either way, it is exceedingly unlikely that any of thy citizens are on my planets. If they are, and still alive, no attempt to hamper them on their way out of the nation will be made.
