The world of Zemlja is clean and untouched by human hands. Nothing has been built on it and nothing has been hurt. It is full of reasources and ready to be colonized. Every spot is full of natural reasources.

Rules:
You must have a nation inside the Region of Zemlja (Main or Puppet)
To own more then two spots you must have your main nation inside the region
You are allowed to create your own terrian or it can be created for you
You must RP taking the land - If you do you get 2 more spots that you can annex
Modern Technology only - Future Tech nations are welcome to come
Please no nuking - unless last line of defense

The Proletariat Commonwealth is called the Proletariat Commonwealth for a reason. And now, a rumor of an empty land, Zemlja. Rumored to have wonderful resources. Of course, usually colonization operations go awry. Usually involving to give large amounts of men just for protection. But it would be different, the men would be citizens, the army a militia. They would build docks for the fleets. Of course, who would attack New Rosktai? Yes, that is the name of the Protectorate...

A 10 Ship fleet of Chicago Class Escort Ships left the Island of Rose, they all contained weapons, colonizers, supplies, and other nicknacks and pollywacks, give a dog a bone. Wait, that's a song. Anyway, these ships were coming to this new continent. The map was luckily divided in sections. They would claim spot 48, spot 47, and spot 25, all for the glory of the Commonwealth. But first, they'd have to settle down, get comfy, and that's going to take one long time. Especially if people are going to go to war about these lands.

And so, the colonization begins...

The small colonization fleet had left as soon as the order was confirmed. Many of th epoorest of the poor had signed up. Irish, Italian, Arabian immigrants would be immigrants again. The captain spotted land on the horizon. Plot 33 good bit of land the captain thoughtpulling out the horn to announce that they were home.

OOC: When you say that without a main nation there you can have 2 places, then if you RP it you get 2 more, does that mean that if you RP it but dont have a main nation you can take 4 places?

If so, then I'll have 1, 2, 3 and 11 (RP forthcoming soon, just want to get my land claim in so someone doesnt take it while Im typing), if not then I'll just have 1 and 2.

Also on the member of region front, I will move my non-main nation (a puppet with the name of my colony) into the region, but can I wait until my RP colony reaches 5 million pop so that the colony grows in line with its nation?

The Flagship of the 1st Royal Colonization Fleet, the Tenacious Light, rolled into view of the large expanse of land ahead. Behind it, 160 more ships followed suit. Just over 84,000 colonists had volunteered for the mission. The large, flat-bottomed transport ships provided little room for comfort in the transport.

Viscount Haduki Ramashi smiled from the deck of the ship. The hum of engines roared above the waves as a half-dozen escort destroyers skipped ahead, easily outdistancing the slower, heavier flat-bottomed ships. He noted the scores of Marines on the decks of the ships as they passed; the plan was to secure the landing area in case of unfriendly native inhabitants.

The clunk of boots behind him grabbed his attention. "Good morning Viscount, are you pleased with what you see M'Lord?" a gruff voice greeted him.

Haduki turned and examined the man behind him. A tall figure, Captain Yuki Amoshiti was; despite being slightly overweight, his light blue uniform glittered in the pale morning sun. A carefully trimmed brown beard and buzzcut lined his head. Cold grey eyes shined dangerously, fitting, for he was the commander of the 15th Marine Regiment assigned to protect the colonists.

Haduki nodded with a slight smirk. "Yes Captain, it truly is a beautiful land; hopefully we can enjoy it safely and quietly." He told his companion.

"Sir, ETA to the shore is two minutes!" a woman shouted. She wore the uniform of a Lieutenant Commander, despite being rather young.

Captain Yuki waved with a smile, then shouted back: "Thank you Commander!"

Haduki returned his gaze to the land ahead. Oh how he desired to have it; and soon it would belong to the Royal States of Tenarius.

OOC: I just feel greatly compelled to ask: are there any native humans at all? Like primitives? Or are there other similarly sentient beings that would possibly try to interact in an intelligent (although frightened) manner.

The fleet had landed and Hucker Tyll was building a home for himself and his pregnant wife. Some of the village boys (orphans that are taken in and raised by a village) had been scouting and found many wild boar and other favored food creatures. Hucker had been given a mountain and told to take as many as he needed and build a village. It was a small hamlet but then again they'd only been here for a little while. He finished hammering the last of mud joints into place ensuring that his new house would be warm in the winter. He got up and dusted off his work kilt. Hucker stretched and went to the information center. He marvelled at how easily the radio towers had been erected. "Any news Liver Pons? Are they done with the dock?"
"Aye" was the man's only response as he rocked back and forth with a shotgun in his lap. Hucker went to see how Jula (his wife) was doing. Hucker stopped at the windmill and picked up a shearing crook his tobacco crop would be coming in soon.

The Rosian port city of New Rosktai City was complete. A fleet was being built and an army was ready to defend it. Around 80,000 men, armed with modern Rosian equipment. Now they would mobilize yet again. Section 49 as the Rosians called it. 100 T-90s along with 1,000 soldiers would secure the land. And from there, workers would.. work.

There was a large port city, and many towns scattered throughout the Protectorate. The 10 Escort vessels were still there, and would remain there to protect the Protectorate. Now how did they get the equipment? Through deliveries of course, constant shipments with supplies and the like. But that would end soon, the factory outside the city would be complete soon. It would be an all around factory. It would build tanks, planes, anything mechanical.

It would be cost efficient, safe, and friendly to the enviroment by using the water. Protection of the enviroment was a big thing for Rosians, and they would only destroy it if need be, but only if their currency was useless. A Governer was already chose Uben von Rampershine. A German Rosian, he would run the Protectorate with his Ministry and Parliament. Sort of a standard for all Protectorates.

The T-90s rolled through section 49, as they claimed and defended and such. And with the facilities almost complete, they could be a real power...

A message went to the Governer's House, where he lived, it contained the armed forces.

We estimate that the Sea and Air Force will be done in a few weeks if we rush enough. The Island of Rose lent us the land forces since they are easy to produce, but they say to build the rest. They are withdrawing their Escort Ships in a week, so we must have at least one or the other complete by then Governer.

Yup, they'd be done in a week, and they'd have a voice in the continent too.

The six cruise liners that set sail from Wilmington seemed to take forever. They were making only 16 knots and the restless colonists-to-be wanted things to go so much faster. The six ships carried 500 people each, so 3,000 colonists were set to build the first settlement.

Accompanying the cruise liners was a Pasteur-class hospital ship, along to provide some medical equipment until a full scale hospital could be built and supply lines from Sarzonia could be established. A convoy of eight warships, including a Rapier-class light carrier which served as the flagship, joined the colonists. They would construct a military base near the colony and they included a garrison of 5,000 Sarzonian troops.

The first supply convoy would be along one week after the settlement was established to provide more supplies and a larger force of troops to defend the region. A palpable sense of excitement and nervousness washed over the crews of each ship, along with the colonists-to-be.

Within hours, landfall was approaching. The colonists' choice for governor, Connie Milton, watched from the deck of the King Robert VI with a tear of joy sliding down her right cheek.

"Our time is near," Milton said, her smooth face creasing into a smile. "Let's get ready."

After a few hours, the colonists put up tents to serve as their temporary homes until they could build a city. In the meantime, the soldiers and sailors started constructing their base. Within six months, the city was expected to be fully built and the base was expected to be near completion. Other cities and bases were sure to follow, and Milton knew that before long, thousands more Sarzonians would be on the way to create a full scale colony.

Independence was the farthest thing from her mind or the minds of any of the colonists. Even though the Sarzonian government would likely offer them the chance to become independent within 15 or 20 years, that was too far into the future for her. Right now, she had a job to do.

"Today, we embark on our new mission," she said when everyone was gathered on the ground. "A mission of exploration and discovery, both of this new land and of ourselves. May we all learn from each step on our journey."

The 2nd Imperial Fleet smashed through the rough seas around the newly discovered continent. Inside the protective circle of warships, eight hundred heavy cargo ships, colonist transports and oil supertanks laboriously sailed towards the new land. Aboard were several million tonnes of supplies, with much, much more to be airlifted in once the flat-pack airport was up and running.

"It makes you proud to be Praetonian," said Admiral Lucius to his Second in Command, surveying the massive fleet from the observation deck of the massive Omega Class Battleship, the PWS Theta.

"Indeed it does, sir!" came the reply from Vice-Admiral Sirius, his head bowed against the strong wind and driving rain. The Admiral seemed little affected by the adverse weather, "Don't you think we should go back inside, sir?"

"You can if you want... in fact yes do, go and check on the ship. I'm going to stay here a while."

"Thankyou, sir," said Sirius, gratefully whilst trying to stop his peaked cap from being carried away on the wind, "Wait a minute, sir... I can see... land!"

"You're right Sirius, Commodore Marcus, I want the fleet prepared for land-fall," he shouted to one of the other men standing on the other end of the observation deck.

"Right away, sir."


Not three weeks later, a small and bustling port town was in the process of being constructed. With the airport up and a perimtre established, supplies were being shipped in every day. Only with modern mechanisation was such an immense feat possible. Not three days after that, the Praetonian flag was hoisted for the first time in the new captiol of the recently named Porta Praetoniam.

Delays due to weather and brief skirmishes with wildlife turned the six month project into a nine month ordeal, but the first city was finally built. From the steps of the newly-built Legislative Building, Milton stood up to address the colonists just after the building was dedicated.

"Ten months ago, we all set out on a journey. All of you knew before signing on that this journey would be a difficult one, but the rewards for this journey are simply incredible. Today, we have seen the fruits of our labour!"

In a sweeping gesture, she swung her right arm behind her at the ornate marble steps and columns of the Legislative Building. The small crowd broke out into an enthusiastic round of applause for they all worked hard to see that building go up.

"Today marks the next step on our journey as a colony. I am here to announce the name of our colony. From now on, you shall all be known both as Sarzonians," she said, pausing for dramatic effect. "And, you are all citizens of the colony of Talzeckia."

More applause followed, and Milton smiled as the audience reacted to the news.

"We are here today to name our first city, which shall serve as the capital city for our colony. Ladies and gentlemen, I present to you the city of Constantinople."

More cheers followed.

After the ceremony, Milton held a meeting with the military organizers who were in the process of constructing both the military bases and the shipyards that would provide some of the population with permanent jobs.

"We're almost done with the bases, Madame Governor."

"Good work. How many troops are we going to expect?"

"I'd say 15,000 combat troops. We have another couple of army bases under construction in key locations around the colony," General Craig Carter replied.

"We have four key naval base locations where we are constructing bases," Vice Admiral Brian Nettles said. "They will also be the locations of five more shipyards for the Portland Iron Works."

"Oh, good," Milton said. She didn't have any particular attachment to the Portland Iron Works, but she knew that Sarzonia's top employers needed more facilities to handle large orders. With the company constantly increasing its offerings and its orders getting more and more frequent, she figured the move would benefit both her people and Portland.

"How about naval forces? What are we going to have?"

"Two squadrons at each base," Nettles said. "That should give you a good bit of naval protection."

Milton nodded her head. Protecting the colony was likely going to be a large priority with the way things were going around the rest of the world.

The 29th Exploration Fleet cut quickly through the waters toward the large island. The fleet consisted of three Oliver Hazard Perry Class ships, the SharkFin (sister ship of the FishTail), the Minnow, and the Infinity. The fleet commander is Admiral Geoffrey Klaus. He had served as an officer on the Invincible Guillen before the naval expansion and the need for more commanders. He had been one of the best qualified men on the ship, but he could still not get a battlefleet of his own. He had instead been assigned to this explorer fleet that had a great chance of finding new land. And now he had found it. And now he would settle it.
