History:
During the ending months of 2003, the Inkanan military began a new Main Battle Tank program. It's Lepoard 2's were far outmatched by the Super Abrahms of other armies. And so they started to labour. Forst they needed a new design, they based the Ulhan(German for Lancer) off of the Merkava of the Israli armed forces. It had a very sloped body, for maxium shell deflection. They then began expirementing with armour. They finally found a composite mix that worked, making the Ulhan's armour twice as strong as the British Centorian(sp?), and 3/4s stronger than the Abrahms A2. Then taking aspects from the french Lecrec tank, they developed a robot machine gun, and a new rifle-bored 110mm gun. Improvisiing the latest in track technoledgy, the T-44 Ulhan was born. After seemingly months of testing they finally had a tank capible of taking on even the most modern of battle tanks and surviving.

OOC: Hmm... unfortunately tanks in NS have moved on from 'Super Abrams'. Now they have ETC (Electro Thermal Chemical) guns between 135mm and 155mm in diameter, not to mention very heavy armour. Also they generally use smoothbore guns, as they are better suited to firing APFSDS rounds which are better at killing tanks than HEAT. Also SCRAMjet rounds are coming into fashion, although Im not a big fan of them. OOC: This would probably be a 70s-80s era thing, nobody uses rifled guns anymore (Sabot tank killers are self stabilizing)... Also, the MG42? Time to move on, nobody uses that caliber anymore. HK11s and MG3s in .30 NATO are the most modern versions of the thing you'll get.

I am a Current tech(80s-00s) nation.

OOC: I know, I'm saying your armarment isn't even keeping up with current tech. The norm today is .30 caliber MGs and 120-125mm Smoothbores. Just look at Leclerc, Challenger II, Leopard II, even the Abrams you designed to beat has a more powerful gun (120mm Smoothbore)

If you want to be exactly RL tech then see the above spec, but bear in mind that the design of those tanks began decades ago, and with time and money (that the RL nations dont have) you can make better vehicles with better tech. A lot of modern tech nations now are 2000 - 2010 now anyway, but it's up to you.
