The founding of the New Homeworld

The Bridge of the Battle Barge The Emperors Hammer
The thump of power boots was heard approaching the bridge doors. The two Dark Angels Space Marines outside held their bolters across their chests as the giant figure of Force Commander Halfas came towards them.
His power sword sheathed and his Lightning Shield stored in the armoury he still looked an imposing figure, golden helmet upon the blue steel Terminator armour that he wore, his golden shoulder pads shining in the bright light.
With him came four more Terminators, of his personal guard, the only to have escaped from the slaughter that had befallen them nearly a month previously. As they reached the giant steel door it slid into two halves to show the interior of the bridge.
Inside there were twelve men, not in armour but the standard uniform of the Imperial Navy, all working at different consoles controlling the giant ship as it dropped from warp space.
Immediately as they did so the giant windows at the front of the bridge were filled with the sight of a giant planet, seemingly a giant green planet, it was covered with jungle with giant mountain ranges and a massive sea that covered a fifth of the planet.
Two scout ships that had been dispatched had reported it to be an ideal location for the new homeworld, in a corner of the universe that had yet been unexplored they had called for the rest of the survivors to come here as soon as they can.
And so they had. The single battle barge carrying some 2,000 space marines, all that was left of the great chapters, and three BFG Imperial transports carrying some twelve thousand Guardsmen from the Cadian 10th, 12th and 21st Regiments. With them came a single Cobra destroyer and then several more transport ships carring the other four million odd survivors of their nation, mostly women and children.
The Emperor had ordered them to find a new planet to continue their nation before he himself had finally fallen when the mighty fortress of Slann was overwhelmed.
Commander Halfas surveyed the scene for a moment before turning to Librarian Tigerius who was standing near the main console.
“Tigerius, what do the sensors report?”
“Nothing followed us through warp space. We are safe for the moment. We are however picking up signs of primitive life on the planet, none near our proposed drop sites.”
“Very well. Call Colonel Drake to the ship.”
A while later the haggard commander of the Cadian 12th arrived on the bridge, still carrying his lasgun and wearing flak armour and helmet.
Commander Halfas began
“Drake, how many men do you have remaining?”
“Some twelve thousand Commander. Remenants of the 10th 12th and 21st and a company of stormtroopers.”
“Very well. We will be going down to the planet to prepare landing sites for the transports. I want you stormtroopers in Valkyrie drop ships to accompany my ThunderHawks down there. We will take no unnecessary chances with this planet. Dispatch a squadron of your StarHawks to over fly as much of the planet as possible with scanners and send the information here. Before the main group lands we need a good idea of any thret we will face here.”
“Yes Commander. I will return and prepare immediately”
After the fleet had orbited the planet once several smaller ships appeared out of them. These formed up and then dived towards the planet, passing through the atmosphere and then levelling out, heading for a large clearing in the jungle, big enough to land two BFG’s side by side.
The ThunderHawks led followed by the Valkyries, their sensors picking up no real life signs within the drop area.
One by one they landed and ramps dropped down, disgorging over a hundred space marines onto the planet. All of them bore the bright blue armour of the Ultramarines.
As the Valkyries came into touch down several door gunners spotted movement in the forest edge and reported it to the command HQ that had come in with the last ThunderHawk.
As the ramp from this ship came down Librarian Tigerius strode out, his giant armoured boots thumping into the ground of the clearing leaving giant imprints whilst his arms held a power sword and bolt pistol. With him came Colonel Drake and several assault marines, their jump packs idling.
Above them the single Cobra shrieked overhead, weapons manned and aimed at the surrounding forest.
“Drake, have your men secure the Southern perimeter and link up with the marines. Call for a regiment of the Cadians and tell the combat engineers to begin preparing the landing site.”
Drake returned to the Thunderhawk and came back with his vox comm operator and several other men from the command squad who had been manning the guns. As soon as they had reached the end of the ramp it raised back up into the dropship and it lifted off back into the blue sky with the others to return to the fleet for more troops.
By this time there were stormtroopers at the edge of the jungle on the southern side, and they arrayed themselves into a battle line and brought up the few heavy weapons that they still had.
On the other side, the marines had advanced a small way into the forest as Combat Engineers from the guardsmen began blowing trees down with satchel charges and chainswords.
After a single day the first transport landed, letting out nearly 100 thousand people to populate the new Homeworld, to be name Slann.
In the Battle Barge Commander Halfas was preparing to get into a drop ship to head for the planet with his personal guard when he spied several techmarines coming out of the infirmary.
“Techpriest. You are now assigned to me. Come” he said to them. They of course followed him to the drop ship.
“You will be responsible for building the factories that we will need. It will not be long now before they come looking for us and we must be ready. Build a city where we have landed, and colonise as much of the planet as we need and get as many materials as possible. We must rekindle the industy.”
OOC: Yes you guessed it my nation is themed around the Imperial Guard/space marines of GW fame. This is the start of a long saga (hopefully).

The Emperors Imperium

After several years of growth a city had sprung up in the original drop zone. With it had come several million more people as the nation had developed. Several outlying towns had sprung up along with training sites for various Imperial Guard and Space Marine's that were being raised.
Two days ago an outlying homestead had been raised to the ground by unknown assailants and the occupants had been slaughtered.
Two of the people appeared to have been struck by primative arrows, and so Imperial Guard troops had begun several patrols of the outlying area to search for the "intruders" as they were being called.
Planetery surveillance had been constantly looking down on the surface but had not detected movement until the fire had blossomed out. A look at the recordings had not managed to get anything further, and so it was concluded that the beings were cold blooded, or very clever.
Commander Halfas had decided that the first was most likely to be true, and had recalled all settlers in far out provinces to be recalled to the nearest fortified towns where Imperial Guard companies had been increasingly watchful.
One of these towns was called Tigeria, and was under the military command of Captain Commodus and his company of the 18th Cadian Regiment. The company had spent the last two days building a rough palisade wall around the collection of thirty or so homes and storage barns. They had virtually finished, only the main gate and a couple of towers for heavy bolters were left to be built. Earlier on in the day a Valkyerie dropship had delivered these heavy bolters, along with a single autocannon with copious amounts of ammunition. Even though this was the town closest to the attack site, from where patrols from other companies had been sent out, its only communication with the rest of the planet was through a voxcomm link that had a habit of not due to the conditions on the planet in the middle of the jungle.
Night once again approached as the men finished the gate and took their remaining lasguns from the armoury to begin their vidual at the walls, whilst the residents slept.

Tigeria
In the small command post that has taken over the town assembly point Captain Commodus and his platoon Lieutenants discussed the defence that had been put up around the town. Reports had come in of shadowy figures looming around the perimeter, set some hundred yards back from the palisade wall.
Captain Commodus spoke first.
“I have called Regimental Headquarters and they have informed us that a flight of three Valkyries will be overflying the area in two hours time. In the meanwhile we are ordered to stay within our perimeter. Put 3rd Platoon on the Eastern walling, 2nd covering the gate and the Northern Section, 1st on the Southern sector and 5th on the Western wall. 4th Platoon will remain here as a mobile reserve. We have one autocannon on the gate and the heavy bolters have been put in the towers on the South Western and SouthEastern corners. Extra ammunition is being kept in the town barn near the Eastern wall. We have enough so blast at anything that you need to, within reason of course. Any questions?”
Silence
“Very well then, get to your positions and keep in contact.”
The officers filed out, Commodus was a survivor from the original homeworld and as such knew to always be prepared, he had a large sewn up gash on his left arm to show what happens when you weren’t.
OOC: Hey! No fair! I'm based around the Dark Angels! Damn it! I get Azeral, though! Meh. Maby we could join together and make one huge chapter...?
The black shape of the Immortal slid through the stars, the sunlight reflecting of it's ridged surface. It was the only one which could be spared from the battle at home. Upon the giant ship was a full company of Dark Angels, led by Interrogater-Chaplain Asmodious. [100 Dark Angels, 10 Predators, 5 landraiders]
On it's bridge was Asmodious, looking at the enroaching planet.
"It's beautiful. Life signs?" He asked the men on the bridge.
"Yes, many thousand. And there are some ships on the other side of the planet." One responded.
"Dangerous?"
"Mabey, but not for this baby." He said while patting his console.
"Good." Asmodious replied before walking out. He headed to the hold, to see his men. Within minutes he had arrived. He stepped in, dwarfing his men by inches. He wore white Terminator armour, while his brethren wore their trade mark green armour.
"Prepare your selves! We might have to fight! The Emperor protects!" Asmodious spoke in a booming voice, making some of the servitors and Imperial Guards men jump.
The Immortal closed in on the planet...

Planetary Defence Sensor Command Station
Commander Halfas started to pace up and down the station, as several Imperial Guard Technicians worked consoles linked to the hastily assembled planetary defence grid.
They had detected a large ship coming out of warp space and now it was approaching the planet. A scratch force of 25 StarHawk bombers, 12 Fury Interceptors and a single Firestorm frigate rose to meet the “visitor” as the ship was being called by those troops on the ground who were preparing to repel an invasion.
Space Marines in the various liveries of Dark Angels, Ultramarines and the other chapters were bolstering the Imperial Lines that had been established around Slann, where brand new Imperial Leman Russ Tanks and Space Marine Rhino’s were rolling off the production line.
A massive ship works had also been built and was currently undergoing construction of an Imperial Dauntless Class Cruiser, although whether it would ever get finished some now doubted.
The Immortal was nearly upon the enemy ships, when Asmodious noticed an Ultramarine insignia on the frigate's hull.
"Stand down! Open a channel to the lead ship!" Asmodious hastily shouted.
"Yes my lord."
++This is Interrogator-Chplain Asmodious, of The Dark Angels. I believe that you have some Ultramarines aboard? I request that you dock with my ship.++
After sending the message, Asmodious walked to docking port one with his bodyguard of 5 Deathwing Terminaters....

The Frigate The Emperors Chariot
Librarian Tigerius stood on the bridge with the space marine commander of the vessel. As the hailing signal was received and put through he gathered a squad and headed for the docking bay.
Once there another heavy weapons squad assembled and set up their heavy bolters and lascannons pointing at the airlock.
The two ships moved closer as the genetically enhanced warriors aimed their weapons, whilst the Librarian moved closer, his blue terminator armour shining.
Ten Dark Angels walked with Asmodious to the docking bay.
"Arm weapons, safty off!"
The green armoured warriors took up postions around the airlock as the ship jolted. The docking mechanism had latched on to the Frigate. The airlock slowly opened, revealing a hazy blue power armoured warrior....

On the other side of the Planet, a Single Hak'Ta Ship appered out of hyperspace with a guard of 10 Al'Kesh frigates. The Mother ships pyrimid core droped out, leaving the outer hull to hold where it was. After the Pyrimid 50 Death gliders slid out of the hangers, rapidly making the desent. The Goa'uld on board did not detect the Imperial Presence, but headed towards a Place they could release the simbiots into the water, allowing them to breed new Goauld Lava. They moved down slowly, in no rush as they did not know there where other forces on the planet. Then the pyrimid touched down, and the front opened to release 200 Jaffa, as well as 1000 Human slaves. The Slaves where immidiatly sent to work on a Stargate, to allow the Goa'uld Lava to be sent to different worlds for Jaffa hosts. The 5 Al'Kesh craft made cheaks of the area, and found traces of life, witch would be converted to worship of the System lords.
OOC Yes, I use the Goa'uld from Star gate. As stated, they are not aware of Human presences, and are coming to the planet for the swamps that can be used to allow Goa'uld lava to surrvive without hosts. At the recognition of Imperial ways and apparent technology; a ship, a fully armed battle cruiser; had been deployed and now ejected itself, wailing, from the Warp, near the Goauld incursion. The Commander opened a communication.
"Esteemed Goauld allies; this world shows signs of life, in the model and way of the Imperium. We shall transport to the planetary surface and then, ask that you aid us in exploring. Librarian Tigerius relaxed his hand slightly from his side. However as an explosion shook the ship behind him he removed it quickly and informed the Chaplain that an unknown third party had just boarded the ship as had just been communicated to him from the bridge.
Without waiting to see what the others did he set off for the largest group of inflitrators that were near the armoury. The ultramarines from his own company followed him and now came from other parts of the ship.
At the armoury the Dark Angels had lowered their bolters from the terminators and had turned them on the men that had just rushed in through a neat hole that had just been blown in the side of the wall.
The Veteran Sergeant at the front of his squad motioned for them to hold their fire, at least for the moment.
"A third party! Who!" He, rather hastily, asked Tigerius. He turned swiftly and walked onto his ship. "Follow me, we'll get the Deathwing later." The other Dark Angels followed him, one stopped and told Asmodious that they were friendly, for the moment....

Azlon watched the Angels Invictus with suspcion, he had only heard of them in myth. "You are the Angels Invictus? I did not reliase, I am sorry. Please forgive me."

Tigerius arrived at the armoury finding power-armoured men kneeling before the Deathwing terminators.
Turning to a Veteran Sergeant that had accompanied his squad from the airlock he placed him in command whilst he went to the bridge to communicate the developments to Commander Halfas on the planet below.

"You are forgiven, war-brethern." The Sergeant smiled. "Many of the lost Chapters have regrouped in the world of Chronosia; hailing the God-Emperor. The world is changed; the galaxy is changed. Our former glory is shattered, divided...We have found a grand alliance in the Galactic Empire; fighting against the Jedi and their allies from the galactic core to the galactic rim. The road is barren, thorned and dark, but we are bringing the Emperors light to yet more worlds...It is a time of war; an age of Chaos..."
"Thank you for your forgivness, brother. You mention 'lost chapters', would you like to elaborate on which chapters these might be?" Azlon asked.

OOC Sorry if I have not been on latly, I have been aayt, I will be here today and some of tommorrow, but will leave tommmorrow after noon and not be back for three days.
IC The Goa'uld Commander Ordered his men to lower their weapons, and gestured for the Chronosians to Follow.
"You Are about to see something Tauri," He said in the hollowed voice Of the Goa'uld. "Consider yourselves lucky. We will acept your help, as Our Gliders just told us what we will be fighting if we go by ourselves. We thank you for your kindness." He then waited, as the Stargate was cheaked.

THe Stargate opened with a large woosh. It looked like someone had pushed a lot of air into water. When the surface had settled, it looked like a pool of blue water. After a few seconds, a number of red robed warriors walked out of the Pool. They held their Sassari Staff weapons up high, the new weapon looking more like a spear then an old one. The Three High priests walked out carring the cylinders that held the three queens. They moved with cerimonial prasision. They then moved towards the largest of the pools, and all opened the containers, spilling the liquid and Queens into the water. The Red robes then started to follow out of the gate in more numbers, these ones all more then 7 feet tall. These ones where the result of 20 thousand years of selective breeding. They moved and made themselves a base around the Queens pool. Then the real buissness began, the Queens where all 12m in length, so their combined bodies took up 1 third of the Pool, the eggs where taken to different pools, where they would be monitered until hatching, at witch time they would find themselves hosts from different worlds., or they would grow larger and fine hosts among the population.
"See our Power Tau'ri," Said the commander. "Impressive no?"

A trio of ancient ships slowly creaked out of the warp, it appeared to be a pair of Mars class battleships accompanying a Emperor class battleship. Colonel Commissar Ravenstorm of the 113th Spectral Knights guard division stood on the bridge looking out at the battle barges and other ships here.
He rubbed his chin with his left hand, that was his natural organic hand, at why his very large force of Imperial Guard was needed when there were already so many Marines here already. He mentally shrugged, it was not for him to question the will of the Emperor or the Inquisition. He only hoped that a run in with the space marines wont mean those glory hounds trying to sieze control of his guard and taking them off into some kind of suicide mission.
Orbit:
The Ultramarine Battle Barge departed it's orbit of the planet and joined the Dark Angel Battle Barge, together they moved further out from the planet. They waited for the other Battle Barges to arrive.
Surface of the planet:
The Ultramarines left there camp in order to go and meet up with the lost chapters, to help with the building of there base....

The Imperial Guard began to decend to the planets surface in the vicinity of the Space Marines location. They began bringing down infantry first then bringing in the armor. Squads of stormtroopers did a deepstrike onto the planet to secure a landing area for landing craft. The Colonel-Commissar sighed, this was always the long part, waiting for all his forces to be deployed.

The bridge of The Emperors Chariot
“Commander, we have made contact with several other space marine chapters. We have received an offer from the Empire of Cam III that I will communicate to you at a later time, but more marines have burst into the ship from docking pods, they appear to be unfriendly but have as yet done nothing. The bridge is sealed but the rest of the ship is at their mercy, shall I order my units to open fire?”
The voice of Commander Halfas came back to the ship from the planets surface
“No Tigerius, we will need help on the surface. Bring you’re ships and men back. We have more pressing problems to deal with.”
On the surface
“Colonel’s. I will need your regiments to move with us to the far side of the planet. Our dropships are being called in to speed transport. Some of our new ‘friends’ have reported that we have some visitors that have slipped past the net.”
“Commander” the Colonel in charge of the 4th StormTroop Regiment spoke “I already have a company of my men in that sector, they were on routine exploration. We have not had contact with them for nearly a day after they reported a vox comm. fault.”
“Very well. Send another two Companies to their last know location and bring the rest with us. Keep me informed of the situation with them. They will act as our scouts.”
Bravo Company, 4th Stormtroop Regiment, about 20kilometres from the Goauld spawn lakes.
Captain Haskarin had his men moving in a single file through the dense forest. Scouts on point and the flanks were reporting no movement and the point man was approaching the area that they would make camp in this evening.
The Captain could see several men, lasguns held loosely in their hands, heading on up the small trail that they had been using for the past few days. Behind him came the heavy weapons squad, carrying their plasma guns and heavy bolters.
The other specialist unit attached to the company, 5 elite snipers, were acting as the point unit, flitering between trees and rocks as they took the company forward towards the small lakes that they would reach sometime the next day.
There original search pattern had not been in this area, however after hearing what they thought were ships they had begun to march towards the vicinity, still not able to contact HQ.

The Goa'uld simbiots where scouting without hosts, when they found the compony. They made a sound like laughter, and slithered out from the surrounding trees. Hundreds, even thousands swarmed across the ground towards the fresh humans. They moved with speed, there bodies wiping each other to get to the humans first.
In the Queen pool, The eggs came fast, every hour there was one more, taken to the hatching pools. More forces came through, and the Ha'tak Pyrimid core sat like one made of stone, standing tall. The Newly named Lord Protecter, Apollo stood at the top, watching with glee as his numbers grew. He had been given ten million simbiots to start off, and when he found the population, they would insert themselves as hosts.
OOC If you can send an embissy to Ra, he will allow you to share the planet, but he will still get to breed on the planet. Now, I will most likly take the bravo compony, because of the sheer numbers fighting to get at you, but we will suffer for it. Shoot one he is dead, and for every shot there is likly to be one dead.

OOC: It was my understanding that sybiotes couldnt survive outside of liquid for very long?
Bravo Company, 4th StormTroop Regiment
One of the flank guards had stopped talking after reporting that a massive wave of something was moving towards the company.
As men fanned out wondering what was going on they saw it come over a small rise, not very far to their left.
The sound of lasguns and heavy bolters were heard as they fired into the advancing hoard, mercilessly cutting down hundreds if not thousands as a pair of grenade launchers joined in.
But the sheer weight of numbers soon overwhelmed them, only the five snipers on point and the men that had been guarding the right flank escaped, heading deeper into the woods in a group of ten.
They had to report this to command, but without a radio it seemed like it would be a long trek to the nearest outpost, some two hundred kilometers away. So they headed towards their LZ where dropships were sheduled to pick them up tomorrow.

OOC: Argh. Imperials coming out of the woodwork.
And incidentally, the whole Ha'tak can land. (Good to see folks reading that site though. I'm Necronlord/Joseph Wilson in the staff listing)
Eventully, 6 more battle barges arrived and stopped near the other 2. These were painted in different chapter insignia. They held no passengers, they were there to pick up hopefull men to become Space Marines, they had been informed abot the Space Marines here and were coming to pick them up.
The Ultramarines battle barge conatcted Tigerius, Have you an answer to our propastion? We have no time to burn here, we must be on our way. We require an answer in 1 hour.

After his talk with Librarian Tigerius and the reports from the remenants of a stormtroop company Commander Halfas made his decision and communicated it to the visiting ship.
"Very well. We will join your empire as long as you find as a new home planet. This one has become unholdable. However we lack the complete resources to move the entirety of our people to a new world by ourselves. Please send transports to the city of Slann, we will clear landing areas for you. All of our forces are pulling back of being collected by dropships to be taken out of the system and link up with our transports that are being launched with civilians onboard now."
"We also ask that one day soon we return to this planet and purge the parasidical organism from its surface, one day when we are stronger."

OOC Not for very long no, it is for aproximatly a day, If I read stuff right. ANd Necron Lord, Bloody good work on that site. I am aware the whole thing can land, but the Outer part is in orbit, like a satilight. I use More Advanced GOa'uld Tech, anyway.
IC Two thousand Simbiots lay dead on the feild, but the surrvivors where moving back to the Spawinging pools. The Ones who missed hosts slid back into the pools, while the ones who did came back with their hands in the air, and their eyes glowing. The Commander smiled, he now had more warriors. He barked some orders, and the men where armed with Zat Rifles, The new weapon perfect for the bodies the Goa'uld now possesed. The COmmander watched as more unhosted simbiots where brught through the gate, to the perfect breeding ground. HE smiled, soon this world would be converted, defecnes installed and the locals either brought to bear or allied with. The Commander smiled, and then opened his eyes in disbelife. One of the Athena Jaffa Had walked out, and another, and another, followed by her Commander in Chief, Ares. He walked up to the commander in an arrogent sort of way, and handed a info pad to him.
"Orders From THe Systems Lords Council," He said in the deep voice of his race. "We are to make peace with the locals, we can not risk these breeding grounds, they are too importent."
"But they sent a party, we attacked it, we TOOK their boddies." Said the Commander, he started to worry, had he started a war the United systems lords Had agreed should be avoided?
"None, died, so we will give the bodies back, We MUST make this peace agreeable." Ares said with the voice of one who would not listen to further comment. "Round up the Men!" He shouted.
Within the cargo hold of the Goa'uld Cargo shuttle, the Imperials had been placed, rid of their simbiots after they had been compleatly disarmed. They had been put behind the blast doors, to keep them away from the cockpit, and where sitting around worried what would happen. When the ship creasted the ridge, and saw the Imperial City, they sent a hailing Frequecy.
-To the Emperors Finest, Masters of the City of Slann.
We have had a bit of a dissagreement, a power struggle where a few of our race took over yours. This was a mistake, we never should have fought eachother, we should have assited each other. The Systems Lords have agreed fighting is far t dangourus, a threat to our people on this world. We are therefore willing to make peace with your nation. We have relased your people, and have them here, As well we will give you many things to help you. In return all we ask is to be able to breed on this planet, and posibly use the native creatures to take as hosts. Is that really going to hurt? We will help defend the world, will trade, including Naquaada, and slaves of other races. We will not even take control of you people unless they are willing. We implor you to think on it.
Signed Ares, Supream Commander Of Athena, Who is Second in command of The Forcesd of Anubis.
We welcome you to our, now your, Empire with open arms. We have a perfect planet for you in our home system, full of resources and the perfect climate. You will find it satasfactory. You will fall under the protection of Cam III and the EGC, but beware of Sephrioth. You have my word that he will not enter your space, ever.
My Battle Barges are on the way to pick up your people, please be prepared. And about those 'parasidical organism', you have my word that when you are ready you can leave and destroy them. Please follow my ship.
After an hour or so, the Battle Barges had picked up the remainder of people and other bits and peices. They then picked up the Ultramarines already on the surface and left for Prospero, closely followed by their new allys ships....

OOC Hehe, Cam, your doombing him.
IC The Cargo ship flew after the Ships, its engines burrning. The Ships speed towards the fleeing fleet.
-Stop, We have no intention of harming you, but if you continue to flee we will be forced to destroy the NAquaada core in our ships. YOR PEOPLE are on this craft, don't they deserve to return home? Ares-
OOC: How am I dooming him? And was that post for me or not?
