International Air Show (Open, RP required)

Aztec Lands

(OOC: While this is open, you have to abide by certain rules:

1. You must RP realistically.

2. This is for nations who are RPing the age from 1903 (i.e. Wright Flyers, Curtisses, Bleirots, etc.) to slightly beyond the present (JSF, F-22, X-35, etc.) No ion-engined thrustoids from Volton 7, please. However, if your nation is set in the WWI age, you are welcome to bring a few Spads or Fokkers.

3. You MUST provide at least one image of what your aircraft look like. If I bring X type into the show, you must show an image of X type of aircraft. It does not need to be repeated, UNLESS your aircraft is completely fictional and doesn't look like a real-life aircraft, in which case, a good RPer will describe it.

4. There is a live-fire zone for shooting targets, but there is no fighting between actual nations. If your nations are at war, and both show up, you will not fight each other. You must agree to this before brining your people in.

5. It's OK for something to go terribly wrong, like a plane crashing on landing, and being NS, these things provide excitement. Just try not to have it happen every page. If you DO choose to have an "accident", remember it will look badly on your nation.

6. Accidents cannot involve harm to the crowd (I alone RP my citizens) and cannot involve other nation's assets.

7. If someone does bring an ion-engined Thrustoid from Volton 7, please ignore the person. Similarily, if someone Godmodes nuking the entire airshow, ignore him.

That aside, enjoy!)

Announcer: Welcome to the inaugural Aztec Lands International Air Show! We begin with an overflight of the 33rd Interceptor Squadron of the Aztec Lands Air Force. Here they come!

*Eight of these aircraft, in a V formation, streak overhead. The four on the right trail black-colored smoke, the four on the left blue-colored smoke.:*

They are flying the new Aztec Aerospace C-5 "Quetzal II". The sequel to the venerable C-2, it boasts an engine capable of 20,000 lbs of thrust. Its top speed is just over Mach 2.2. They are compatible with all NATO weaponry. This is one of the new generation of light fighters, like the Eurofighter, Dassault Rafale, or Saab Gripen.

And now, our fighters land. A massive air force demonstration is scheduled in a few hours, so don't go anywhere!

Four (heavyily) modified Harrier jets roared across the sky, led by two of the brand new Raven II fighters. Three of the aircraft were painted in the fog grey used by the air force and three were the darker bluish grey of the naval forces. The Raven fighters had been in design for quite a while, and the pilots were very proud to fly these first two.

They looked fearsome, vaguely reminiscient of mig-21's, but completely modern. The long-range heavy machine guns were plainly visible near the inside edge of their wings. Missiles were not as reliable in Callisdrun, as they ran into mountains too much and some anomalies interfered with their guidance systems, as well as Callisdrunian missiles being of low quality in general. Callisdrunian planes always carried well-stocked machine guns as a very effective "plan B" if the missiles failed.

Callisdrunian fighters were not the fastest, but they were very maneouverable, pulling very dangerous stunts that for the pilots were routine. At times they flew so low that they might have made scorch marks on the ground. It was something they were quite good at. At the conclusion of their performance (OOC: by no means the end of Callisdrun's participation) they buzzed the audience, flying low enough so that the battle axe crossed with Thor's hammer insignia on their wings and sides were plainly visible.
