Greetings and good tidings from the peaceful nation of Tessen, located within the Region of Aldea in the Great Lakes area of the North American continent.

Tessen World Fact Book (http://www.jonbaas.com/tessen.html)

For many years -- since the great American Civil War nearly one hundred years ago -- the nation of Tessen has enjoyed peace, defended only by it's loyal Civilian Reserve Militia. They have not had an organized military. During the Great War, however, Tessen did have a small professional military, which bravely fought alongside her blue-clad allies to the south and helped play an integral part in the Northern Victory over the successionist South.

But following the war, it was decided that in connection with Tessen's strong relations with the United States of America, a professional military was no longer needed. So, the Tessen Infantry divisions, the artillery brigades, and the small Great Lakes navy was disbanded. It seemed like a good course of action for the young nation, and ever since, Tessenites have lived in peace.

Times have changed, however, and a more progressive government is in now charge.

With that realization, comes the need to once again form an organized military consisting of an Army and it's professional training, a variety of artillery divisions, a small but effective military Air Force, and a small number of Navy vessels. With governmental funding tight, and almost absent when it comes to national military matters, Tessen now looks to the world stage to acquire a military sponsor to begin providing such armament and requested funds.

In return, Tessen is willing to strike a trade deal with the generous nation, and offer exports in exchange for the noted funds and equipment. Tessen is also willing to invite the generous benfector to open an embassy within Tessen soil. Additional agreements may be at the invitation of the benefactor.

If you have the surplus and would be willing to assist in our new endeavor, please take a moment to look at our national factbook linked below, and we invite you to reply with a list of military equipment and a monetary number that you would be willing to either donate as peacetime aid, or would like to include within an exports for miltary trade agreement.

Tessen World Fact Book (http://www.jonbaas.com/tessen.html)

The government of Tessen, currently seeing numerous senate debates, and economic prosperity, has not yet formulated funds to create this new military out of it's own budget. However, part of the agreement should be that once she is independantly able to do so, budgetary constraints would be lifted, she would begin manufacturing her own vehicles and equipment. Tessen does have the resources to do so, just not the funding.

Tessen wishes to show her gratitude in advance to the nation(s) that provides this military aid. Such a nation will be lauded for her efforts.

We look forward to any responses.

In peace and economic prosperity,

The Tessen Senate

Do you have money too afford our state of the art equipment? If not... then I am sorry as we are buisness people and only give our weapons in exchange for cold hard cash(or a reource that is in demand on the market)

Unfortuantely, we are not looking to purchase said equipment. We realize the confusion our wire may have caused. We are looking for a military sponsor who has the surplus funds and/or equipment to aid our efforts in the short term.

We are also only looking to create a reasonable military of no more that 700,000 strong. We have the troops, just not the funds to equip such troops.

We have also offered items in exchange. Natural resources that we posess in abundance are:

Lead, iron ore, limestone, copper, zinc, sand and gravel, coal, clay, peat, timber, wildlife, and fish

Perhaps this may help clarify things a little.

We would be more than happy to accept your generous offer, and whole-heartedly agree to the duration of the offer.

We are eager to puruse your list.

Yours sincerely,

Tessen Senate

OOC: Just for reference purposes then, what do you go by in regards to the NS timescale? I've always gone by 1 RL day = 1 NS month. Just curious. :P

Foreign Minister Hague, my appologies to you. It appears you inadvertantly recieved a message sent to the first nation to reply. We appologize for the confusion.

As you requested, our intended military is indeed a balance between the three displines, although perhaps less so as Tessen does not possess coastal waters and hense would not have a large need for a navy at this point. Thus far our focus is upon land and air.

Done.

How long shall we expect delivery? We have already begun construction (some months ago) on military installations within Tessen. They are nearly complete:

- Fort McCoy (Army base)
- Richard Bong Airforce Base (Air Force)

The Naval forces would be temporarily based out of the Maitland Airforce and Marine Base located just outside of Milwaukee, Tessen.

OOC: I will have to admit, though, you were probably a little more detailed that I expected. :P

Well, we might have an interest in military aid in the form of Russian/Soviet equipment/plans/tanks. :) Have you got a list of available items you'd be willing to spare?

Maybe we can work out some kind of mutual trade.
