Terrorists Strike Hataria (Hundreds killed or injured)

The 3 Al Qaedan men stepped into the bus terminal carrying their suitcases.
It was easy getting from Taliban to Hataria. With the Taliban government not willing to act to screen people at its airports or jail people out of fear of being labeled a terrorist state. The Taliban government was weak and pathetic.
Today would be a glorious day for muslims everywhere. Today many infidels would die.
Omar was careful to see their tracks were covered. Though he did have to unfortunately kill a Taliban agent at Kandahar airport and bribe several security guards in both Taliban and Hataria.
The men walked down the terminal and placed their suitcases next to Terminal 4. A Hatarian security officer saw them and thought they looked suspicious. Calling for back up he moved in to question them.
Then the air was filled with a resounding boom and debris flew everywhere in a flash. The 3 men were blown to smithereens along everyone else nearby. There were hundreds of dead and wounded, including citizens and ambassadors from other nations.

Within an hour of the attack a video was aired on Al Jazeera demanding that the entire nation of Hataria convert to Islam and declare war on jews and other nonmuslims or more Hatarians would die in terrorist attacks on thier nation. The video also demands that Whittier and other nations pull their troops out of the middle east region or suffer the consequences.

OCC: Well, it's not what Hataria does to people that makes them hate him/her, its his lack of any common sense that makes us hate him. Oh, and the fact that he Godmods and uses an impractical mixture of past, present and future tech's. What makes you not hate Hataria?

OOC: Lol good thing I denied your order on the 20 kilograms of enriched Uranium.
OOC: Actually you approved it. But it was for the Taliban government, not the terrorist Al Qaeda. The Al Qaedans are trying to overthrow the Taliban and the Taliban have no means with which to secure the Uranium. So you might want to cancel the order on the grounds of security concerns.

IC: The people of Hataria have 24 hours to convert to fundamentalist Islam or face death by suicide bombers.

OOC: Taliban, since I haven't been following your RP's, I'm j/w, tell me about the Taliban and why Al Qaeda wants to overthrow it (besides just power... any other reason?) And is your Taliban similar to that in Iraq?

Interesting how you can bomb a nuclear wasteland.

I strangely find myself applauding this.

Lol, strangely I find myself applauding it as well. The world works in strange ways. It's a good thing I would never let my citizens set foot on Hatarian soil. :D

The Taliban are the reformed Taliban that don't support terrorism. After the terrorists attacks on Whittier, South Pacific, Dr. Twist, Pure Evil and certain other nations resulted in an international invasion of Taliban, the Taliban government renounced terrorism and severed ties with Al Qaeda. Although Bin Laden was captured and executed a year ago, Al Qaeda lives on and its members are very resentful of the Taliban who they feel are backstabbers. Ever since, Al Qaeda has been trying to oust the foreigners and their Taliban "puppets". And Taliban has been rocked suicide and car bombings ever since, all targeted at the Taliban leadership and or those who known to be connected in even the most indirect way to the Taliban leadership.
Recently the Taliban have been given restored soverignty over one part of Afghanistan, the province of Kandahar. Their strict laws and viciously oppressive treatment of people in their territory (done in the name of preventing terrorism) was widely condemned in the NS world and hence the Taliban were forced to repeal those laws. And this allowed for greater freedom of movement by the Al Qaeda forces and this is where we are today.
The Taliban are afraid to move against Al Qaeda out of fear of international military invasions.

Our peacekeepers there would not allow Hatarian soldiers to step in Taliban.

Official statement:
Taliban condemns these atrocities but we have had no involvement in them.
Hataria and other nations are welcome to send troops to Taliban to seek out the terrorists, in return for military assistance against Al Qaeda rebels.
