Alexander Christos ran his hand through his hair. The time for his first speech as ruler was coming near. After five years of bloody fighting, a war which left an estimated 10 Million dead, the UCF (United Christian Front) had gained control of the government. The former government known as the Armed Republic of Tanuio was controlled by a ruthless family that banned religion and massacred hundred of thousands of people, more specifically Christians.
At the age of 14 Alexander witnessed the murder of his father, and mother by Government Secret Police. He was adopted by Rear Admiral Bernard Kurtz, who later became the Grand Admiral of all naval forces. At the age of 19 Alexander joined the UCF, by the time he was 21 the UCF had grown to an almost uncontrollable amount. With an estimated 150 Million Supporters the UCF began it's military attacks. The Republic countered by killing as many innocent Catholics as possible, leaving whole villages destroyed. However, with the support of his Step-Father Alexander destroyed half of the entire army of the Republic in only two months. The naval carriers conducted airborne operations, bombing key Government facilities. Within a year of the naval involvment the UCF had gained full control of the nation. Voted by the heads of the UCF, Alexander was chosen as the first leader of the Holy Republic of Tanuio.
Alexander know stood at the podium, lights flashing all around him. He looked down at the written paper.
"Good Day People Of Tanuio. I come to you today to announce that I have been chosen to lead the new Republic of Tanuio. I have many promising programs to rehabilitate our broken economy, programs that will put money back into the pockets of the people instead of being used to buy a new mansion, or car. We will rebuild our great nation, and with the help of our Lord we shall overcome any obstacles that lay within our path.
But we cannot accomplish all of this without some sacrifices. I know at times it might become difficult but just remember that our Lord is keeping watch, protecting us from all significant harm. Now that we have finished here I would like to thank all those that have helped us accomplish our goal of toppling the brutal tyrants that ruled over us, whether small or large your contributions resulted in our success. For this I thank you."
With that Christos stepped down from the podium. And walked off to the side as his Speaker of the Republic took questions from the media.
During the same day Christos signed an important order. He ordered that to ensure purity within the population that people of Jewish Heritage be deported, and given 10,000 USD to begin their new life. The Assistant Ruler stood by him.
"Why would you order such a thing Alex? The Jewish People of followers of the book aswell."
"You just do what you're told, that's what you are here for."
The Assistant Ruler walked away shaking his head. He exited the governing room, slamming the door behind him. Alex slummed down into his chair. The day had been long and he needed rest.
OOC:I'd appreciate if people would comment on my RPing, this is pretty much my first RP. Btw, nothing against Christians, I'm a moderate Christian myself, it's just that I haven't seen anyone RP as a Radical Christian Government. After all it happened in Europe. Oh and Alex is crazy. That's what years of fighting will do to some people.
