Telegram from Yevon of Spira:
Yevon of Spira has found a large mysterious object on the sea floor of an enemy hostile nation. The object apears to be made of wood and looks as if it has been there for a while. We have only seen this object from a distance and if we were to try to identify the object up close, an apocolyptic nuclear war would be inevitable beetween us and the hostile nation. We are looking for a willing third party nation to investigate this object discretly. There will be some form of compensation in return for this task.

The United Arabian Nation of Bree Tonia requests your permission to investigate this anomaly and report back. We have a very reliable underwater rescue + research team, built for the kill aswell, you can trust us to get the job done.
We request no open transmissions about this to the enemy nation however, as Bree Tonia asks for no war.

Bree Tonia Ministry of Defence......
"Minister, sir, We have been granted permission to go through with the item investigation."
"Good. Right, send down a sub with an investigation attachment, get this done quickly and quietly. If it all goes custardy, we are going to need some support, send in a feather carrier group to stay 300NM away and watch from international waters."
"Right away minister........"
On board the HDS Turbulence, A Typhoon-Class SSBN....
"Rig for dive"
"Rig for dive aye sir"
"Dive to 120 feet and maintain steady heading of 260 true"
"Dive to 120 and maintain 260 true aye sir"
Slowly but surely, the Turbulence began its dive, the ballast tanks filed with water and then levelled out at 120feet and it charged towards the closing target sea bed area at 12 knots tactically silent....
"Conn, Sonar. New SD contact bearing 120, theres two now, three, parallel, they're Virginias sir."
"Sonar, Conn. Ok, That'll be our backup, they are trying to be quiet it take it?"
"Aye sir, maybe 3 or 4 knots, but we got 'em."
"Good work sonar. Nav, Conn, how long till release area?"
"Conn, Nav. About 3 minutes sir."
"Thanks. Hey, rate, on your way down to the torpedo room get two divers prepped for tube launch, ok?"
"Yes sir"
"Officer of the watch, take us down to 400 feet and come to 4 knots fdrift."
"Aye sir. Helm, Down on the #1 planes 15 degrees and level at 400 feet"
......
"At require depth, location and we are at a standstill sir"
"Very good, launch the deep sea minisub then"
"ok.....its gone sir. Do we just wait?"
"Yep, they got 4 hours, then we are off"
On the minisub, with two crew....
"Have the sensors picked it up yet?"
"Yeah, we need to head about 300 meters to the north and whack the light on"
....
"Ok I can see it, what the hell is that thing?"
As they drift slowly closer the 'wooden' object, its shape becomes apparent, it has a spherical edge and is like a very large tank...
"Say, that looks like a ballast tank to me - but that would mean.....that...."
"Er...it would mean theres a downed sub around here somewhere!"
"Thats not our concern. Lets get some photos and video and get the hell back to Bree Tonia land."
"You betcha"

Message:
Greetings,
Our equipment has been deployed and has now returned. The results we found were somewhat odd. The wooden item is what appears to be a large storage tank type object, assumed to be a ballast tank. It is, as guessed, an item with a wooden section to it, but an interior of metal. This concludes our report to you, should to require any further assistance, do not hesitate to contact me or any of my staff, but quietly. Thankyou.

Thank you Bree Tonia.
Now I need a volunteer to recover the object and investigate its contents. Thank you again Bree Tonia!

Thank you Camel Eaters. Also, if Camel Eaters is unable to recover the object in the next day (1 hour real time), could someone else attempt to recover the item instead. All assistance is greatly appreciated.
By the way, the hostile nation previously mentioned in the situation is Mentz Germany. A very large and stable, yet extremely isolated. They have a very large military and is very sporadic and unhesitant when it comes to foreign issues. They have recently succumbed to an invasion of Nazi nations in his region, and has become even more militaristic than normal.

Over an hour has passed. Any nation who wishes to continue the investigation of the unknown object please contact us. We are eager to see what the contents of the object are. The possession of the contents will be decided in a civil manner after the object is opened with delegates from both nations present.

The seven craft flew downwards throught the water. "Why are we doing this again?" One of the noobs cowplained.
"Because we have to."
"That reason is up the pole."
"Shut the fuck up. Derler how's the arm." Derler slowly postitioned the mechanical arm over the large wooden object. Dropping it slowly until it rested under it.
"Positioned. With a little tennis elbow." This was code that the object was to heavy to lift suddenly so if anyone should fuck up while securing the hooks they werr screwed.
"Recover Six has moved into position."
"Recover One in position."
"Recover Two ready"
Recover Three ready."
Recover Four ready."
"Recover Five ready."
"Alright. Erlu get out there and secure the snaps." Erlu worked quickly snapping every thing into place. As he got back on board he said.
"Is good."
"Good. Alrighty then everyone float up." The seven recovery subs floated gently to the surface. Once they were fully up they secured the huge object to a ship and hightailed it to Spiran waters.

Thank you Camel Eaters, you may now leave the object attached to a buoy and return to your homeland. After the object is investigated and opened we will send you proper compensation.
Aust will investigate this object.

Thank you Aust. Permission granted.
Thanks.
A Austian plane arrived in Yevon of Spira, it touched down and then 3 men, high ranking scientists stepped out.

Aust's scientists are met by Niel Haverway, Yevon of Spira's lead scientist. While on the way to the shore where a boat is waiting they have a lively conversation regarding the environment, animal life, past civilizations and their cultures, weather related incidents, and other scientific topics. They eventually reach the boat, which rendezvous with a research sub. They dive beneath the water surface and head toward the object.
The Chief intelligence onboard the PNS Pytan, en route to FSI, noted the transmission, it also seemed that someone else had take up the offer to recover and investigate the object.
"Dispatch a small reconnaiansance submarine to survey the object from afar, and send an accompaniment of however many light attack subs the Defense minister deems nescessary to protect it", he said to an Aide, who scurried off into a transport tube.
Three minutes and fifty miles later, the Aide got off of the tube, and stepped into the Defense minister's office. He began to brief him on the situation, but was cut off. "We are on the verge of a massive military engagement here, I don't have time for it, just send out two fast attack subs as an escort."
The Aide clicked his heels. "Yes, Sir!"
He Scurried off to give the order.
Three subs streaked out of the side bays of the Pytan, Supercavitating towards the object. At one hundred miles out, they shut down their engines and went to stealth mode, an elaborate system of sonar dispersing panels gave them the sonar signature of a fish.
They slowly crawled towards the target, taking care not to be noticed by any of those that were involved in the official business here.

"Interesting," Hiran muttered, "Strange. My Giga meters off the charts, you got anything, charlie?"
"Same here boss, I'm also detecting high levels of biocontamination."
""And you Neil?"

"Same here, the giga readi" but Niel was interupted by the sound of water rolling off the sides of the sub. The submarine with the scientists resurfaces next to a buoy. Aust's scientists were busy the whole trip in the sub taking notes in journals about the exotic marine life that inhabits the waters around Yevon of Spira. The object appears to be a large tube made out of wood. Once they surface, they send a message back to land. "Send an Evrae III ASAP". Within minutes, a large aircraft with unique design appeared in the distance. The aircraft hovered over the object and dropped some barbed rope from the bottom. The rope stuck to the side of the wooden object and took off, heading back to shore. The submarine began to resubmerge, when one of its crew spotted a few dark spots aproaching in the distance. Niel Haverway looked back and saw that the Evrae III was disapearing from view. "Go down and gun it back to land" he commanded the crew. Niel was too excited about the wooden object to be worried.

IC: "I balive we should be careful about this object, it has high radiation qualitys, if we go near it unprotected, then theres going to be a lot of trouble. You'll lose your life."
Yevon of Spira

"We have radiation protection back on land. I will send message back to them to tell them not to go near it." Niel reasured "But what are those dark objects following us?"

A look of panic flashed over Hiran's face. "Subs, we've got to get out of here!"
Yevon of Spira
30-09-2004, 20:31
Niel flashed a questioning look "Subs? But why would subs be out here? Niel urged the captain to go faster and returned to Hiran "Do you know whos subs those are?"
OOc: I g2g, i'll be back in a few hours.
*On the deck of the lead fast attack sub*
"Son of a Bitch, they see us..." The Captain said, "They're moving too fast to just be withdrawing. Comm, tap out a message on the side of the ship!"
*Aboard the other Fast Attack boat*
"Sir, there's a message coming from the other sub, it sounds like they're just thumping the walls for morse code." The Comm officer said.
"They don't want the transmission intercepted, whats it say?" The captain of the second boat replied.
"Surface... board.... escape"
They both climbed to the surface of the water.
The captain of the lead ship shook hands with the other, "I want you to get onboard my ship, and set yours to supercavitate in a random direction in thirty minutes."
The second captain looked at his crew, "You heard the man!"
The small, three man team disappeared inside the sub, reemerging several seconds later and climbing into the other sub. When all the men were in the same sub. They submerged again.
"Go to stealth mode, 300 meters." The captain said, "Comm, have the research vessel follow us on stealth too."
The comm officer oblidged, and tapped out another message on the ship's hull.
"Follow that object, I want to know what it is."
The sub took off after the object, almost entirely invisible.
The other sub supercavitated off, leaving a gigantic sonar signature with it.
"I hope the think thats us..."
Yevon of Spira

"Hmm" the captain said "We just pick up some signatures of a sub's sonar a little bit back. What should I do Director?"
"I don't know, you’re the military man here. Just get us back to land." said Niel.
He continued sending his transmition back to land. "Do not go anywhere the recovered object. Send word to the Evrae III. Tell them to take the object to the research lab inland. We have reason to believe that were being followed."
Meanwhile, one of the crew saw something dark in the corner of his eye. By the time he took a double-take, it was gone. "Must of been my mind" he said out loud.
OOC- We we're running on stealth mode, i.e. Low engine, Passive sonar only

Finally the sub received a return message from the land. "The Evrae III has landed at the specified location. The object has been quarantined"
"Well at least thats good." Hiran said, "However I don't think anything short of a Dojin would leave that big a sonar signiture, I think it's a decoy. Have you tried to communicate with them?"
Yevon of Spira
01-10-2004, 17:21
"Have you tried communication to the subs?" Niel asked the captain.
"Uh, um, no sir. You never told me to, sir, director, sir" The captain hesitantly replied
"CAN'T YOU THINK FOR YOURSELF!?" Niel demanded
"I'm sorry sir i'll get right on it" The captain shuffled away
"Hiran, do you know who could be following us? What possibly could be their motive? Do they want the object enough to resort to military action?"
Hiran watched as a message was sent to the following subs.
Yevon of Spira

"We've spotted land sir."
"It took all of you?" Niel grumbled. The mysterious actions of the sub following them had him worried.
"We should be docking any minute now. Oh, and no return message from the spotted subs"
"Thank you, get us to land safely and I'll buy you dinner" Niel muttered, "Who do you think they are, Hiran? The sub's owner that is."
