OOC: This will explain my military and economy to the best of my abilities.

History of Zapht:

Zapht has existed for 1300 years. Never was on a large playing feild on international topics. Always liked being in the back ground. Ruled for a monarchy for 700 years before becoming a Democracy for 500 when the king stepped peacefully down when asked for more freedom, and in the last hundred has been under the coutrol of a sort of Emperial Dynasty. Now ruled by Trays Cushrinada who is in effect a Prince, considering that he is called the First Princep meaning First Citizen of Zapht. 50 years ago Zapht made its first space colony in a orbital colony station the about 2/3rds the size of the moon. There are presently three.

Goverment:

Zapht is benevolently ruled by the First Princep Trays Cushrinada. The First Princep has control of all workings of the goverment, armed forces, public works, and day to day rulings. Also all money in the Goverment budget belongs to the First Princep so that he can choose wisely on what to spend it on.

Economy:

Zapht has a happy-medium economy. Not to big but not to small. Its major industries are the arms technology branch and the space program which have been since the first colony was made in space. Metal is a major import expecialy Titanium which is used in Zapht's military.

Army:

Zaphts army is at all times .1% of Zaphts population, as it grows so does the military. There are no Infantry so to speak except for police and the goverments 1,000 man division of palace guards. The army has three branchs Ground, Air, and Space. Since the creation of the Princep goverment mobile suits have become the mainstay of Zapht military technology. High Schools have created manditory programs where teens take a year long course learning simulations of mobile suit piloting, wether it be space, air, or ground.

There are about 5,000 military personel in which are official pilots. The rest of the military are basicly for repairs, medical core, and supply. Reserves of all three type mobile suits are in hidden supply bases where they stay until a crises. The 1,000 man Palace Guards are all top rate pilots unwhich are known to be able to out smart even mobile dolls.

As stated in the last report Zapht's military grows with the population. At this point there is some 10,000,000+ soldiers in the army. With this growth in personel Zaphts factories have not been idle. In this time of prospering Zapht's military arms factories have pumped out thousands more mobil suits for military use.

Leo-class mobile suit: 10,000

Leo-space class mobile suit: 2,000

Aries-class ariel mobile suit: 8,000

This acounts for some 20,000 active duty pilots at all time. There is also some 2 million men who make up infantry ground troops. Their weapons are these:

Automatic Guass Assault Rifle

This fires caseless ammo, which abolishes the need for shell ejection and increases the rate of fire. This gun can fire a 3 round burst out of the barrel before the kickback has an opportunity to transfer to the combatant's shoulder. That means its 3 times as deadly and even more accurate than a recoiling rifle.

Squad Support Power Rifle

This will make you an "Army of one!" It has an airbursting, high explosive 20mm rounds accompanied by the 5.56mm rifle barrel just below it.The military plans an initial order of 45,000+ of these.

"Predator" Anti-Armor Rocket Launcher

The Predator short-range assault weapon. It's a one-man portable, fire-and-forget system for the Zapht Marine Corps designed to defeat next-generation advanced armor threats.

"Death Waker" Heavy Caliber Sniper Rifle

"Death Waker" M99 Sniper Rifle. Single shot bolt action, it fires a .50 caliber shot capable of disabling vehicles as well as people. Carrried only by Zaphts well trained Sniper Corp and by I&R (Intelligence and Recon) who use the rifle like an old friend.

Platoon Support Cannon

NIcknamed the "Flame" becuase of its awsome rate of fire, 6,000 rounds per minute! This awsome weapon os carried upon a small 3 man jeep or vehicle where its large ammo drum, which weaighs some 200 pounds carries the guns .50 caliber shells.

Vulcan Anti-Personal Attack Helicopter

The Vulcan is used by Zapht in concert with its other military wings. Many Aries pilots look down sith disdain upon Vulcan Pilots but only that since the craft have been known to save the day in times when its speed and power is well adjusted too.


Zapht AA Defence System

Since Zapht doesn't have many Fighter Jets in its arsanel due to its faith in the Aries the Government thought it best to aslo have a good defence frrom the ground to the sky.

Quite impressive on the pic's. But, not to be a little cleshay, mobile suits? Its a nice military and I like the pics but you should expand on some of the ground forces, cuz you'll get toasted when it comes to someone destroying all your suits and all you have is a bunch of half trained rejects for infantry back-up.

Zapht has a command force for 20,000 special forces which also includes I&R companies for certain missions.

Standard Issue SMG Type 90

Used by ZSF in small missions this SMG is the first weapon all its personal are trained in using.

ZSF's Type 30 "Catapult" Sniper Rifle

This rifle is used exclusively by ZSF. It has a range of up to 3 miles and can peice up to 2 inches of all known armour.

ZSF "Manticore" Assault Rifle

Used by ZSF when they are attacking a storng position not incognito this assault rifle is the best of the best. Has a fire ability of automatic or semi it is a favourite of most troops.

ZSF's Side Arm type 1 Marcheval Pistol

This pistol is the only side arm of the ZSF. It's refered by the troops as being the thing that picks up ladies, and has been known to get several men out of tight spots.

ZSF Anti-Armor Mini Missile Launcher

Used as a squad support weapn the Launcher has a clip of 7 mini missiles which are capable of taking out anything short of an Aries.

ZSF Squad Suppot Mini Gun

When they face large numbers of infantry or just have an itchy triger finger the ZSF mini gun is quite the answer to any problem. There are about 2 of these in each platoon of men in the ZSF.

Earth Shaker Main Battle Tank

The Earth Shaker is a monsterous tank used to make heavy assualts on any kind of postition and terrain. Used in platoon size units of 5 the tanks are used mostly in consert with large amount of infantry support. Its armed with a 140mm Heavy Cannon and 2 90mm cannons, along with an assorment of smaller size weapons including mounted MGs.

"The Hell Bent" AA Missile tank

Used also in platoon size units these tanks go hand in hand with the Earth Shaker and infantry defending Zapht forces from the skies.

Medusa Heavy Artillery Tank

Used to break up all sorts of defenses the Medusa is a heavy mother that brings a lot of power to the field of combat.

Hi, reasonable factbook but your military is way to big for your country size... it's 10% approx. (!) of your country... your economy unless you can give some kind of reasoning as to why it can support such a huge war machine, probably should and would collapse under the strain... :)

I'd have to agree with Mr. Merchant one that point. You should scale down the number of Mobile suits you supposedly have and express the number of the other units and arms you have or are building.

OK, I scale down the mobile suits to say 7,000 of the Leos, and Each of the others by a 1000. All the small arms I have are in the numbers of around 50,000 each. I have 300 of the Helicopters, and only 500 of those tanks. I'll write up an official type post on thier numbers later. Thnx for admirign the pic.
