In a recent public annoucement today, and a n opening ceremony, President Onsorn of the Commonwealth officially opened the Sarctic Space Program (SSP) with a short speech on its aims and goals.


"It is with this day, this single day in our beautiful country, that I can proudly say that Sarctic is turning its eyes onto the stars. A program that has been in development for years, the systems of our former Communist regime were seized and researched. These systems will give us the ability to explore the reaches of our planet and assemble scientific data on the cosmoses. A far greater goal is to even establish the first Sarctic colony on another planet." The man stopped for some very loud applause.

"Now, it will be a costly program to operate, so it is with great distiunguish I send a request for aid to the world. Anyone who would like to donate even the tiniest of saras to our cause would be grealty appreciated. Nations who endevour like us to reach the stars, but have not the time or money to do so will be more than welcome to train along with our sosmonauts. And now, with these parting words, I declare the stars closed to Sarctic no more!" And with a choir of applause, he cut the large red ribbon before the Sarctic Space Center.


OOC: Basically, they're asking for aid with their space program, and anyone who donates money can tag along on space missions, and share the rewards.

THE INTERNATIONAL FLEET INITIATIVE [copied from international incidents]

We ask our neighbors and nations of earth to join in and contribute to the founding of an International Fleet

I The primary purpose of which will be to defend the peaceful efforts of humanity in space. Including but not limited to scientific research, exploration, industrialization, colonization and the infrastructure and facility construction work required to these ends.

II The secondary purpose of the International Fleet will be the long range manned exploration of our system and scouting for future colony sites plus any scientific research and development required to that end.

The requirements for entrance under the protection of the International Fleet is a simple & small variable tax rate on your nations gnp that will be dedicated to the development of fleet resources. In adition to this minimal requirement your nation may contribute what physical and intellectual resources it wants to that is aproved by International Fleet Command - which will be a council of representatives of the IF Protectorate member states.

The second minima for entrance for IF membership is the aquisition of all space assets not dedicated to space exploration and related scientific research.

The Republic of Luna I would like to dedicate the completed recently completed Orbital Shipyards in orbit above the Luna I Copernicus site and the recently launched Naval Experiment 2, our first extended range starship, the Cortez.

IFS-01 Cortez will move into low earth orbit with a fleet of Aerospace shuttles to ferry potential investors and new IF members to cruiser for talks.

Luna- We thank you greatly for your intrest, but Sarctic is primarily intrested in mainstaying on its own program, rather than such an alliance (OOC: Also, no offense, but that seems a little too close to Future Tech for me.)

used by Seven Of Nines parents. It isn't the fastest or meanest class
of Starship, but, it does possess Warp Drive and minimal shielding &
Phasers. We will also send a team of techical advisors to teach your
people the way to operate them. You may keep these crafts as long
as you don't try to use them for evil purposes. Because then you would
answer to us.
