Guardsman Dryce sprinted across the plaza, keeping close to the walls of a hab-block, before skidding into a crouch on the dusty ground. He glanced at the doorway. It was still about seventy yards away, and fifty yards of that was open ground. Enemy troops were covering the plaza from a building on the other side. There had been about six, when Dryce'd got a look. He calculated his chances. Somewhere in the region of bad to fething-bad.
He scrambled over the cracked flagstones on his knees to the edge of his cover. Fifty yards. He'd have one shot, and if he couldn't make it, he was as good as dead. Simple.
Already in a starting position, Dryce slung his lasgun over his shoulders.
Emperor preserve me, he thought.
Dryce kicked out, his legs propelling him forwards. He kept his eyes on the ground in front of him. The steady thump of his feet was replaced by a quiet popping noise from his right. Suddenly, the air was filled with las and slug rounds, blasting plas-crete from the wall beside him. Instinctively, Dryce had covered his head with his arms, but kept running. He risked a glance for the door, and paid for it. He tripped, and for a second his body seemed devoid of weight, before gravity asserted itself and he ploughed into the ground, skinning his chin and knees.
Dryce swore as he picked himself up, but a las-round clipped his calf and the curse became a single, long cry of pain. Dryce blacked out for a second, and when he opened his eyes he could make out a group of figures making their way towards him from the other side of the plaza.
"Oh feth..." he gurgled, his throat dry and his vision blurred. A cry pierced the silence, and the figures began to run away from him. Without warning, a spear of burning promethium shot from a window, incinerating a pair of them, and las-fire cut down the survivors.
"Trooper!" he heard, "Trooper!". Rough hands rolled Dryce onto his back, and the midday sun blinded him. He put a hand into the air to block it from view, revealing a man standing over him.
"Trooper!" said the man.
Dryce saw his Liutenant's badge, "Sir?"
"Can you walk?"
What a stupid fething question. "No sir"
The officer turned to speak to someone, "Reyn, Karl, grab him, we need to get this man to a field hospital". Those were the most welcome words in the world...
OOC: Hello. I'm roleplaying as the Carthis 1st Light Infantry in a rp of an Imperial Crusade in the Warhammer 40,000 universe. Obviously, it is preferable to have roleplayers with knowledge of Wahammer 40k to participate in this, but you can't have everything. The crusade is set in the Hagar system, as you already know, and I have purposefully left the enemy in my opening rp a bit anonymous, so any armies are welcome. We could do with a couple of 'Evil' armies (Chaos, Orks and so forth), and a couple of Imperial/Marine/Soritas players, though most any alien race/cultist weirdos could be counted as evil. I've made my nation to be the Carthis Light Inf, but there's no need for you to do this. Just state the regiment/army, and the type of regiment (Armoured, Infantry, Light Infantry, Artillery, Whatever). Give a basic uniform description just to help if we meet in rp. Eldar or some non-40k nations could be included as a third-party race with their own objectives. We could make a sub-plot or something. I dunno. Anyway, let's see some players!
The Carthis System

OOC: The Carthis 1st is largely made up of 'Green' troops, inexperienced in the theatre of war. Sure, they've done training, but that doesn't count for shit.
The CO of the 1st is Colonel Rickard Lusoff. A native of Carthis, Lusoff is broadly liked by his troops, but somewhat lax in certain areas, such as Dress Code. Thankfully, the Regimental Commissar, Abraham Faust, is a somewhat experienced officer, and not a young stickler just out of the Collegia Commissariat.
As for uniforms, the 1st wear light green, slightly yellow-brown combats, with deep green carapace jackets. Imagine a Cadian, take away the helmet and shoulder-guards, roll up the sleeves, and give the uniform 5 years worth of wear-and-tear. They carry Triplex-Pattern Lasguns (The ones that look like AK-47s for some reason. There's some on the cover of Dan Abnett's 'Honour Guard').

Dryce hopped through the streets of Addanis, a backwater farming-town, supported by the men identified as Troopers Reyn and Karl. Reyn had served in the PDF on Carthis before joining the 1st, whilst Karl was a gangly youth straight from his mother’s apron strings.
His leg was aching again, the morphine-jab was beginning to wear off. The squad’s medic had jabbed it into him when he saw the wound. Addanis was a mess. Initial shelling had destroyed half the buildings, and those that stood were peppered with pockmarks from small arms fire.
After what seemed an hour, they turned into the main road. A few minutes passed and a Chimera rumbled past.
“Hey! yelled the Lieutenant, flagging down the transport, “Got any room?”
The gunner popped his head out’ve the turret, “How many you got?”
“Nine”
“We got space fer nine. Find a seat”

OOC: Shadow Tech: Naval's fine. Maybe Droptroops? Droptroop army list in 40k has aircraft, so if you had Droptroops then you'd be able to do air support and some work on the ground.
Crimson Sparta: No worries. We can explain it to you as we go along. First of all, I'll tell you some basic 40k weapons so you don't get too confused if you get shot at or something...
Lasgun: A laser rifle. Lasguns fire bolts of energy stored in light-absorbing backpacks carried by all Guardsmen. They're the standard arm for all Imperial Guard, lasguns come in (As far as I know) three different patterns; Mars-Pattern (Standard rifle, semi-automatic and fully-automatic modes), Necromunda-Pattern (Semi-automatic and 2/3 round round burst modes), Triplex-Pattern (Semi-automatic, high-power shot and fully automatic modes). Lasguns are easy to manufacture and some Chaos Cultists use them.
Autogun: Any weapon firing metal slug ammunition. 'Autogun' can mean anything from a semi-automatic rifle to a fully-automatic in bullpup design. It's a very broad category. Most weapons used by Chaos Cultists are classed as autoguns of some sort.
Boltgun: A large, dangerous weapon. A boltgun (Or 'bolter') is a semi-automatic/fully automatic carbine which fires a .75in, Depleted Uranium self-propelled, mass-reactive warhead which is designed to explode within it's target. Thankfully for the Imperium's enemies, boltguns are usually only wielded by Captains and above or the superhuman warriors of the Adeptus Astartes (Space Marines).

"What's our status?" asked Colonel Lusoff.
"Looking bad, sir" replied an aide, "If reinforcements don't arrive soon we might be pushed out of Addanis and back to the capital"
"Naval support?"
"Communication should be re-established soon, air support available in maybe...three days"
Damn, thought Lusoff, This is turning against us..."Recall the offensive, we need reinforcements before we can proceed"

Nurik Tatar, Chief Med. Officer of the Carthis 1st snipped off the last of the stiches in Dryce's leg.
"You were lucky, Dryce. This could've been a amputation if you'd taken much longer to get back"
Dryce winced, "I don't feel very lucky"
"I'm a doctor, so if I say you are lucky, then you fething well are. As it is, all you need is a few days bed-bound and a tight bandage to hold your leg together"

OOC: For the record, I'll most likely be posting with this (my Ork) nation, so as to get its name out there.
The Ankhmeti Guard were preparing themselves to aid the Imperial Guardsmen.Experts at battlefield concealment, they had been watching at a distance. Now they were moving in.Their fleet had moved in under cover of a meteor storm that had passed in very close to the system, it was a tough warp jump, 3 ships were destroyed on exit but they got there. The drop pods went in disguised as Ork missiles, to keep up the stealth.
The 113th Ankhmet Imperial Guard were trained in desert conditions, and hated cities, but had combat experience in urban environments. 10,000 men were on the surface, dropped over a year.Mostly armed with buster and las rifles.

You can either have Tyranids or Chaos from me (Main nation: Cam III).
This is my Tyranid nation, you can't guess by the name, can you? And Cam III's main force is Thousand Sons. Your choice. I play WH40k and read: Guns of Tanith, Straight Silver, Storm of Iron and am reading Warriors of Ultramar...

OOC: I think Chaos would be most welcome in this rp, largely due to the fact that we already have one third-party alien nation, and a Tyranid infestation on the same planet as rebels and Orks would be ridiculous. How 'bout you play as a Chaos cult which has spread over the planet? It would give you a large number of troops, but not amazingly invincible troops, like a legion of Thousand Sons...Hey, there's a point, have some Thousand Sons as the focal point of the rebellion. "That's just what I wanted to hear, Lieutenant. Any news on the PDF?"

Also, consider the start of this post taking place before Carthis' first post.
IC:
The Thunda 'Eavy Kroozer exploded back into realspace, its protective tachyon bubble dispersing in the familiar white ring. Having barely escaped from the war around Gantris IV, the ship was in a bad way: blast marks covered the hull, and the bow was completely smashed in (as one would expect a kroozer's bow to look like after ramming a Coreworld Star Destroyer). Atmosphere, leaking from ruptures and ignited by smashed energy conduits, streamed out to the stern.
The bridge was in a similar state. Globules of blood floated through the air, the gravsystem being shot away early in the battle. Sparks arced from control panels, as Meks soldered wires as fast as orkishly possible. Hanging onto the arm of his throne, the Ork Warlord Drogol the Black roared commands at the helmsmen, who was gesticulating wildly at the main vid screen. With their engines practically destroyed, the Kroozer was little more than a giant rock plummeting towards the world below.
Kicking against the scorched throne, Drogol shot across the bridge, wrenching the controls from the gibbering Ork. Settling into the chair, he pulled back with all his might. Whatever control-cables were still in place somehow responded, as the ship's bow edged upward. Skidding across the planet's atmosphere, the huge warship began to glow, as the bottom hull began turning to slag. Skillfully guiding his Kroozer down, Drogol manuevered through the atmosphere until they were over a wide open plain. As the engines began to flicker out, he dove the Kroozer down, hoping it wasn't a rocky plain.
As several thousand tons of metal smashed into Hagar, great waves of dirt shot up to the sides, the kroozer plowing through the fertile soil for nearly a pile. Drogol slowly peeled his face off the console, noticing that the vidscreen had blown out. Leaving the bridge, he made his way to the gaping hole, and began crawling through. Eventually making it through the tangled cables and girders, he stood on a ledge, high up on the kroozer's superstructure. Before him stretched bountiful plains, and in the distance were some mountains. A small farming community could be seen a few miles away.
The Warlord grinned. Through the will of Gork and Mork, he had led his men to a new world, ripe for the taking. A crash behind him made him turn, though he offered no help to the smort struggling through the wreckage. "Boss! Yagzhul in orbitz, says he and his boyz followed ya here from Gantris. Wats yoo want him to do?"
Drogol's laugh rolled across the plains, perhaps all the way to the farms. "Tell Yagz to get him and all da Boyz hes got down here as fast as hiz green arse can. Weze got a world to take."
*** *** *** *** ***
Twenty dessies and kroozers, in addition to Drogol's own ship, lay smoldering on the plain. More Boyz than initially thought had made it out from the carnage at Gantris IV, and were itching for revenge. Didn't matter that the people here had nothing to do with the Gantris affair.
Standing up in his seat on the war trukk, Drogol surveyed the spoils of war. The small town had been defenseless, many of its men being slaughtered as they ventured out to investigate the Ork ships. The few survivors now kneeled infront of him, manacles linking their legs together. Around them, buildings burned.
Jogging across the square, a smort skittered to a halt and cowered infront of Drogol. "Turkol say der hummies datta way, wit big gunz. His band be sluggin' it out now, but they gonna needs help."
The Warlord snorted. "Turkol always waz ah sissy. Yooz tell him me and da ladz are comin', and weze got a big frend to help us." As if to accentuate his point, a massive thud sounded behind Drogol. He turned, a toothy grin breaking out over his face. The massive Gargant, bristling with gunz and belching great clouds of black smoke, lumbered forward. It even managed to crush the remains of a house beneath one of its massive feet. Throughout the town Orks cheered at the sight, firing their own weapons into the air. Grabbing a hanging cable, Drogol hoisted himself into the belly of the beast.
OOC: Carthis, the guys you were fighting in your first post can be Turkol's boyz if you want. They would be mostly mechanized, with war trukks, bikes, etc. Drogol and the main Ork force will show up in a few posts I suppose. BTW, my Gargants and dreadnoughts are about 150-200 feet, on the same scale of Skeelzanian mobile suits.

OOC: I think the 1st post guys should be Cam III's chaos cultists rather than orks, as in the Gaunt books, orks are Massive, and really, really hard. Hrm, ever played 'Final Liberation'? Gargants, heh...I suppose I'll have to claim a Titan is deployed with the Crusade. Warlord, most likely. I mean, seeing as the only thing that can actually kill a Titan is...well...another Titan...That or about three super-heavy tanks. But that's only in reality, rp is quite another thing. Also the fact that even the small Gargants can kick a Reaver's arse.
IC: The massive deployment ship blotted out the Hagar sun, covering the surface of the planet in darkness for a half-mile. It landed on the surface with surprising gentleness, and once it's payload had been untethered the engines fired up again, slowly revealing the construct beneath.
A Warlord Titan, Purgatus Regni, of the Legio Ignatum stood in the shadow of it's deployment ship. A gigantic honour banner hung between the legs of the god-machine, and great kill-banners from each of it's arms. Litanies of battle, honoured names, worthy foes. The history of the Legio since the days of the Horus Heresy was etched upon them.
The ground shook with every stride, and the Imperial troops cheered it's arrival.
OOC: Right. Purgatus Regni is armed with a Chainfist on one arm, a Gattling Cannon on the other and a pair of Earthshakers on each shoulder.

*This is Captain Franun of the 17th Varshal Ghosts Imperial Guard Stormtroopers Regiment, requesting permission to detach the dropship and land on the surface of the planet.*
*Captain Franun, permission granted. Your mission is to aid any Imperial forces on the planet in the destruction of the Ork ship last seen in this area. We believe it landed on the planet, but we haven't managed to ascertain it's position yet, and for all we know it may be camoflauged. Thus, we are going to drop you at the city of Adannis, where we believe the Carthis 1st Light Infantry has units stationed. Once there, you are to meet up with any forces in the area, and find out if there is any information as to the position of the Ork forces. If you find them, you are to kill the leader, the 'Warboss'. If you are unable to find the enemy, you are to assist the Carthis Light Infantry in any way possible. We believe various other hostile forces have landed nearby, and they will most likely need all the help they can get.
Good luck. May the Emperor guide you*
Franun replaced the small transmitter's mouthpiece to it's cradle and turned to the pilot of the tiny dropship.
"Ok Gunnel, there are 20 men in this dropship if you include both of us, and you're the only one certified to pilot a ground vehicle, so you better godamn guide us down carefully. When we get to the ground, we need someone who can get us a transport, so we need you to be in perfect shape."
"Yes Sir, I get you Sir. Careful as possible Sir."
"Good. Now, take us down."
Franun walked back to men seated in the back of the dropship, all securely strapped into their harnesses, waiting expectantly for the landing.
"Alright men, listen up. We're gonna be going to do a bit of assassination. We're taking out an Ork Warboss, as well as anything else that aint helping us along the way. Any questions?"
Not a single man spoke up.
"Excellent. Everyone, get ready for some fun."
Franun walked over to the one remaining seat near the front of the dropship, and strapped himself in as the dropship flew out of the docking bay of the Mars Class Battlecruiser Emperor's Beacon, and into the atmosphere of the planet itself, it's load of Stormtroopers eager for the coming battle.
[OOC]: Weee!
Ok, i'll be landing at Adannis, and basically helping you out as best we can 'till we catch sight of the Greenskins, at which point that Warboss better watch his back, cause he'll have 20 laser dots from my boys on it.
The Carthis System
27-09-2004, 20:00
OOC: Are you only landing 20 men? This is a war, y'know, and people die in wars.
Right. Due to the Imperial forces being bolstered by the arrival of the Ankhmet 113th (And hopefully the 17th Varshal Grenadiers. D'you mind if I call you Grenadiers? It's an Imperial Guard Doctrine, and sounds better than 'Stormtroopers') we are pressing the attack on Addanis in attempt to dislodge the rebel presence in the town. Colonel Lusoff has chosen to lead the attack personally.
IC: Lusoff stumbled over the plascrete rubble, almost twisting his ankle. He held his bolt pistol ahead of him, watching for movement in the smoke. There was a short yelp from behind him as Guardsman Jorun slipped and fell on his arse.
"Quiet, damn you!" hissed Lusoff.
They pressed on, eventually coming to a section of unbroken ground where the smoke parted. The street had opened into a courtyard, and ahead of them, sticking out like a sore thumb from the city, was the great, black shape of an Arbites Precinct.
Lusoff held up a hand, "Careful"
They advanced across the courtyard, five either side.
"There's something wrong about this" muttered Guardsman Yukil, "Bio-scan said they were here"
"Maybe they've left?" suggested Jorun, holding his lasgun to his chest.
"No, there was.." began Yukil.
The ground was peppered with slug-rounds, and Yukil fell screaming, his left arm sporting a gaping wound. Jorun and Guardsman Dako got to their feet only to be ripped apart by automatic fire.
Colonel Lusoff scrambled into cover, dragging Guardsman Weyr by his neck. he could see the other five Guardsmen on the opposite side, their Corporal shouting orders. A man appeared at the top of the wall above them, fiddling with something in his hands. After a second he dropped it over the side.
"Sacred feth..." muttered Lusoff, as the frag grenade fell, "Get down, Weyr!"
The explosion threw plascrete shards and dust into the air, covering the entire courtyard. Lusoff rubbed his eyes and peered across again. The five men lay broken on the flagstones, rent apart by the blast.
Weyr lay against the wall, muttering under his breath and clutching his lasgun. Cultists shouted to each other in the local tounge. Lusoff could hear footsteps in the distance, and, gripping his bolt pistol, raised himself slightly to see over his cover. There were three figures advancing towards him from a doorway. Lusoff readied his pistol, the click as it chambered a shell strangely loud.
"God-Emperor guide my fire" he prayed, before standing and levelling his bolt pistol in one movement.
The first round hit an open-mouthed cultist clear in the chest, the explosion opening his ribcage to the air. Lusoff changed his aim, loosing off a pair of shells at a second man, the first shot missed, but the second hit his leg, blowing it off at the knee, and he fell forwards.
The third had his weapon raised, and sprayed a flurry of slugs at Lusoff. The Colonel felt the impact in his chest, and the warmth of his blood as it seeped from the wound. Time slowed. He became aware of himself slowly slipping to one side, and the bolt pistol falling from his hand when he hit the ground. The cultist appeared over him, his finger on the trigger of his autogun, and Lusoff slipped into unconciousness.

OOC: Yes, thankyou. I know they're better trained and all, but if you're fielding a whole regiment then you'll have at least a Company of them, if not more. Also, some Guard regiments are Grenadier regiments. They're all stormtroopers. I was just wondering if you were fielding one. Also, we're not playing small-scale stuff like you get in the games, we're doing a Crusade spanning an entire system. 20 blokes won't do much. Also, if they're going to take part in the rest of the fighting then there won't be many left by the time we find the Warboss.

27-09-2004, 21:13
[OOC]: Ah, sorry, misunderstood ye'. Yes, this is a grenadier regiment. I thought ye were confused about what stormtroopers were. >.>
Ok, basically, this is only a small force for going after the warboss. They wont be taking part in major battles, or actually going into battle's that don't help their main mission. They're just gonna help any units they come across that need help, and eventually assassinate the warboss. The rest of the regiment is simply waiting on the Emperor's Beacon in orbit, which is still searching for the 'landing area' (A.k.a. Large crater) of the Ork ships, which once found will be under attack from the full regiment.
This unit is just gonna be looking for information on the Orks in case anyone knows where they are, and do what they can to kill the 'boss.
....so yeah, to sum it up, they're just here to find the Orks and do a wee bit of damage, and the full regiment is gonna be doing the main part of the killing.
Please note, there are also 5 Regiments of Varshal's Ghosts Imperial Guard onboard the Emperor's Beacon as well, including the full armored support.
After hours of debate, Colonel Karshek decided to move into the city proper, rather than sneaking around the outskirts. 20 men, 15 armed with lasguns, 2 buster rifles and 3 with flamers were to be sent in, as a sniper squad to harass the enemy, and help the loyalist forces inside. The main attack would come when the battle was too desperate to be won with anything less than the entire 113th.

IC The tanks headed towards Addains, there tracks making an impression on the hard ground. The Rhinos followed, and inside the Space marines sat, holding there bolters and wearing the black power armour. In the font ranks stood three tanks, each one had 10 Termonators inside, a total of 30. From these 10 wore Lighting claws, 10 held power hammers, and the rest held normal weapons. They moved faster then the rest of te force, and within them stood the Vetran Sargent they had all come to respect. Behind the Tanks came the Guard, as well sentinals and then the Navy. THese ships came in low and slow, as to muffle their engines, and they would pick up the elite infantry and allow them to drop nto the city. They heaed towards the city, in order to get there in time for the battle, As they neared, the Navy flew up fast, and the Marine rhinos moved at full speed. In the front ehino, the one with the Power Hammers Teminators, the Sergent in command roared. "FOR THE EMPEROR!"

Faust covered his ears as the jet black Thunderhawks roared overhead, the drone of their engines deafening. Guardsman Sattik was shouting something, but was drowned out by the overpowering noise.
"............"
"What?" yelled Faust.
Sattik tried again, "............"
"I can't hear you!" said Faust, as the last of the Thunderhawks passed.
"I said; Are those Space Marines?"
"I think so"
"Wow!"
Faust activated his microbead, "Two-one to all squads, hold position. The Space Marines won't want us in the way"
OOC: Um, I thought I was going to have the first post?
IC: The 50 Thousand Sons were standing in a line. Their commander was none other than Cam V, clone son of Cam III. Milling around these gargantuan warriors were thousands of cultists, The Blood Pact. Cam V turned to The Blood Pact and shouted, "There are invaders to this system, they will come here soon. Prepare our defences! Death to the false emporer!"

"Ok boys, we're landing now. Hold on tight and try not to hurl!"
The dropship fell from the heavens, the hull glowing bright orange as it screamed through the atmosphere like a mteorite.
The dropship neared the surface, thrusters firing, and it slowly began to decrease it's speed, until it was barely a meter above the ground, thrusters scorching the Earth beneath it, before they cut off, and the ship simply fell to Earth.
"....christ...my head...."
"Jesus, i've felt worse after a godamn autocannon slug got me in the fucking chest."
"Jeez, why the hell can't we land softly for fucking once.......?"
The Captain quickly unstrapped himself from the harness, and stood up.
"Alright people, quieten down. We're moving out right now. We'll leave the dropship here, but it'll be completely locked down. Basically, short of blowing a hole in the side of it to get in, no one but us can get into it. Now, unharness, grab your gear, and let's move out.""
Captain Franun walked quickly towards the front of the dropship to check on the pilot, shaking Gunnel's shoulder to get his attention.
"Gunnel....GUNNEL! You O.K.?"
Gunnel sat still for a few more moments, before groggily raising his head to face the Captain.
"Ugh....i'm fine Sir, although I would quite like to request extra padding for my helmet. The whiplash 'aint so bad, but my head inside my helmet bashing against the head-rest sure as hell is so godamn bad....."
"Yeah, yeah....look, get your gear and let's move out. We're gonna need to find a working vehicle around here and comandeer it so we can get to the Orks."
"Sir, don't we have to find the Orks first?"
"Oh for...look, it's godamn Orks. You know, big, green, smelly bastards? If they're on this godamn planet, we can probably smell them from the other side of the planet. And if that fails, we just get a vehicle and try and find someone who DOES know where the Orks are."
"Ok Sir...."
Franun walked back to the main group of Stormtroopers, who had managed to get out of their harnesses and were already out of the dropship. Franun quickly followed, Gunnel right behind him, and stood on the small clearing made by the dropship.
Franun looked around, taking in the scenery. They seemed to be in the middle of a field, still pristine and untouched apart from the small area that the dropship had cleared. In the distance, another story was told.
Houses could be seen burning fiercely, surrounded by corpses and abandoned hand weapons. A house even seemed to have been totally crushed, yet it didn't look to have been scorched in any way.
"Okay people, listen up. It looks like that village was attacked. We're gonna parallel to that road leading out from it, but we're not gonna go near the road itself. Whatever attacked the village might still be around, and we don't need a firefight. People, move out!"
[OOC]: A little OOC note. The village is the one that the Orks attacked, but if the Orks have actually set up some sort of base camp there rather than moving on, it can always be a totally different village.

OOC LOL I just made a huge post, then realised that Cam only had 50 Marines, I thought he had said he had 50 thousamd. Anyway.
IC The Black Rhinos came through the city quickly, crushing any thing that stoped them getting to their destination. Above the THunderhawk engines bombed, and the terminators inside held their weapons ready. When the Thunderhawks aproched the line, they droped out among the Thousand sons and the Blood pack. They towered over the Cultists, standing 9 to 10 feet tall. They cut through the heratics with power blade, lighning claw and power hammar, killing as they went. In the middle the Seargent cut wit a large Power axe that he swung with prisision. Any of the Cultist who could not fight the Terminators would have heard a rumble of the earth, and then the Rhinos came around the coner, as well from side streets, some came up behind the Cultists, Thus pshing them in a pincr grip. When the rhinos where about 20 meaters from the Blood pack, their fronts opened, and the marines came running out from both sides. Fireing as they went. The Result was a quad pincer movement, with forces coming down certine side streets, as well as the front and back of the main street, allowing only a few escape points. The Guard and snipers fired every now and again when they had a clear shot.
OOC: Whu?!?! What?! Oh yeah, i forgot to mention: Their terminaters, 50 of 'em!
IC: As the [What Space Marine are you? Ultramarines, Black Templers, Blood Angels, etc...] butchered a small fraction of Blood Pact the rest, all 1500 fled to their underground base. They were soon away from the Guard and Space Marines. They then took up defending positions around the entrance to the base...
The 50 Terminaters walked through the mass of Cultists, killing them if they got to close. Cam V walked in front of them, unsheathing his Slayer of Kings, a deamon weapon. It was gifted to him by the Night Hunter of the Night Lords. The blade was jet black, only the hilt was richly embelished. Cam V could hear it quietly squeal, wanting blood.
"You'll soon get it, my dear." He reasured the blade....

OOC Well, If you had SAID they where termionaters, I might have changed my plans, for crying out loud if you don't say it then whats the point? Anyway, I am The Dark Angles, witch is my own little creation. They are similar to Space Wolves, but are more like panthers, using speed more then strength.
IC The Marines fired after the fleeing Cultists, but diecided they would not chase them. There was to much chance of an ambush. They started to get the position ready, and one of the Guard called the OtherGuard forces in the area.
-All Imperials, Anchor up, commanding officers, we shall meet and coordinate a plan. Copy?
OOC Oh, and by the way, if it is an underground base, then you would not need guards, because we would have to find it first, and there is always so little space to get through.
'Ankhmeti base, this is squad 'Emperor's Benediction' reporting, have cultists in sight over.'
'Open fire.Use everything you've got.'
Both the commanding officer and the squad knew they had stumbled into something too big to escape alive from. They had found a hole in the line, most probably now closed up. They would just have to hit the scum with every shot they had.
Five seconds after the order came, the forward squad opened fire on a large crowd of Chaos Cultists, scattering them.
