Somewhere in the Doom Desert, Eastern Doomingsland

A lone training camp sat out in the desert. It was a stronghold for the Doomingsland Liberation Front, or, DLF, a communist organization bent on overthrowing the emperor. The camp sat in the hills, seemingly concealed, but only to the naked eye. It was pretty visible to satellites. There were only 300 members present at the camp, but that was about to change...

An armored battalion approached the camp, preceded by a flight of Comanche’s.

"Darkstar, this is Griffon two-six, I've got the target on sight."

"Roger, two-six, you have permission to engage."

The RAH-66 Comanche suddenly popped up from behind a hill, and flew straight over the encampment, strafing the terrified rebels with FFARs and cannons. The terrorists opened fire with small arms and RPGs, narrowly missing the Comanche, which, as quickly and suddenly appeared, dashed behind a hill. While their attention was concentrated on that area, another Comanche appeared on the other side, doing the same as its predecessor. The ground was now cratered and bloodied, filled with the limbs of rebels unfortunate enough to stay in the open.

The camp was now watching the skies, unwary of the armored fury bearing down on them...

"This is Iron Six; the camp is coming within range."

"Affirmative, proceed with caution."

The column of M1A5s and Bradley’s approached the battered camp at 40 MPH, bouncing all over the hills, and kicking up dust. By now the rebels knew what was going on, and tried to flee from the other side of the camp. They weren't quick enough.

All of a sudden, the Bradley’s drove into the center of the camp, and unloaded the infantry, who proceeded to sweep the camp. The King Abrams drove toward the fleeing terrorists, and opened up with their remote .50 caliber gattling guns, and coaxial miniguns, chopping the men into pieces, their limbs flying through the air.

In less than a half an hour, the camp had been taken, and forty rebels had been taken captive...

Doom Valley Prison, Doomingsland-

The terrorists had been taken into the underground labyrinth of a prison, taking a massive freight elevator 15 miles below ground, before being forced into holding cells in a special section of the dark, dank dungeon. Their particular area was indeed special, it was basically an artificial tube leading down, with cells built into the walls. The only way in or out of the cells was by taking a special cart that went up to the cells. The process of putting the prisoners in their temporary hells took only ten minutes, each one being placed in total solitary confinement...

It's almost been a century since the first communist nations came to power. Yet there is still no shortage of nations that prefer capitalism. At this rate I'd expect to see to Vulcans and Klingons before I saw a world that is completely communist.

Funny. I'm one of the most pro-capitalist leaders you'll meet, yet my citizens don't seem to have a problem keeping me in office (and yes, Stone River is a democracy.) I'm not sure whether its the insanely high GDP, the low unemployment rate, or the high average national salary. Karl Winston was walking in the dark desolate plain with 15 men behind him. Him and his finely selected soldiers possessed the finest skills mercenaries could possess. Just 15 hours earlier he had been given an envelope by the director of the DBIS himself. It contained 10 million dollars, for him and his men and the additional 40 million dollars to be given once the prisonners were returned to safety in Doublethinkland, and instruction as to what their objectives were. They were to rescue about 20-40 communist activist which had been captured by the Government. Winston did not really care about ideology, which ever they were. He once was a communist, but now he only believed in the power of the all-mighty dollar and he lived by the sword. Him and his soldiers kept walking as fast as possible while still trying to be stealthy, to avoid being spotted by Doomingsland soldiers or citizenry. Him and his soldiers knew it would be a tough mission. Even though they had top of the line equipment, they knew that the chances of success were minimal, and if captured they would probably be tortured before being executed, but they knew they had to keep their mouth shut or else, if they survived, a fate worst than death or torture awaited them. They had less than 48 hours left to save the prisonners, which were probably gonna be heavily guarded. Winston kept on running, while letting go a sigh. It seemed that the next 48 hours would probably be hell. With a shrug, Winston picked up the pace and steeled himself for the events to come.
