Message to the Masses. We intend to invade, occupy, use and abuse our neighbouring coutry, Najaf. They have minimal defences but a vast army numerically. Consequently, we may resort to use our recently acquired small stock of biological and chemical weapons to bulldoze our way through.

A tank battalion has become moving towards the Maslawyia/Najaf border. This will be crossed in approixmately two hours and the official invasion will begin. Meanwhile, sporadic gunfire has broken out along the actual border between our men and enemy forces. Missiles are currently being prepared to attack the major municipal supply areas of Najaf.

So far there has been no need to use naval, air or unconventional means to fight this war.

In response to blatant and apparently gainless aggression by the nation of maslawyia, the Imperial government has seen fit, by way of parliamentary vote, to issue an ultimatum to the Malawyian government:

Cease all aggressive actions immediately, or face complete and total annihalation by Imperial forces.

To whom it may concern:

Zoogiedom will not recognize your right to invade another nation for no apparent reason, and even if valid justification was provided, we do not see you as having right to 'abuse' the targeted nation, or for that matter, using biological and chemical weapons. Maslawyia has earned its spot on our list of threats to world peace, make no mistake.

We will back Generian efforts to defend Najaf from blatant aggression.

I won't join in the fighting, there's plenty of others eager on it already...and of course, there's the other soon to come conflict :P

The Neoma Dictator would like to condemn the actions taken on Najaf by Maslawyia we support Najaf and will if if neccesary send four Carriers to defend Najaf if he so feels it neccisary... this is all.

Should events escalate, the Salusan Conclave will send 2 fleets of Dragonfortesses, configured for various tasks, Seraph AS Fighters, and send the 117th Advanced special ops infantry unit to aid Najaf, in this condemnation of the invasion.

It's not that weird when you get used to it, but there are also a lot of people who would agree with your point of view. Personally, I think having a RL locale as your nation makes RPing easier, but hell, RPing's fun no matter where your nation is.))

((OOC: you have to be real realistic about fighting the RL country's armies, but generally, since even a mid-sized nation is larger than the US of A, it's a pretty easy deal.

About the words thing, that's the whole point of RPing, man. It's why you do NS.))

Basically, the plan I had in mind was to RP both sides as Najaf doesn't actually exist. Basically, its an RP idea to reunify all these different places because they were all originally part of 'iraq'.

Tank Battalion V have arrived at the Maslawyia/Najaf border where they have not met any resistance so as to regroup their forces. The battalion has moved a mile into the border and held its position. Meanwhile missile strikes upon Najaf have seemingly knocked out sparsely distributed areas of electricity.

Troops are being prepared to invade. The Battle for Najaf is expected to be fierce as intelligence reports indicate Najafeeyan troops and defences have centred themselves in their capital. The rest of the country seems to be weakly defended and ready for the taking.

With the political atmosphere thus changed, the Empire of El Cid rescinds the dictum to help Najaf and recalls most troops, keeping some UCASVs to watch over the prooceedings and provide temporary action if things get out of hand.
