OOC: Being a C&C fan somewhat influenced my organization of the Sinoese military. The following is a military matchup between that from Command & Conquer and the ARSCF (Armed Repulic of Sino Combined Forces):

Mammoth Tanks (GDI) and ZZL-1s:

Humvees (GDI):

Nod Buggy and FAV (Fast Attack Vehicle):

Light Tanks (Nod) and Type 85-IV LT:

Medium Tanks (GDI) and Type 98G:

(The Medium Tank is actually based on the M1 Abrams.)

227mm MLRS (GDI) and 273mm WM-80:

(Same 4 tubes but mine's got greater caliber.)

SSM Launcher (Nod) and DF-15 TBM:

APC (both) and Type 89 APC:

(The C&C APC is based on the M113.)

Minigunner (with M-16) and Sinoese Infantry (with Type 95 rifle)

Commando Infantry:

(Not a surprise that they both wear berets.)

Hover Craft (GDI) and Type 724 LCAC:

(Bah! Mine's only good for carrying infantry.)

Apache (Nod) and WZ-11:

(Picture not available at the moment.)

Gunboat (GDI) and Type 520T Missile Attack Boat:

Does anybody else have their own versions of systems mirroring C&C?

from the SIRF

[x] Your military is completely and exactly based off of a book/video game

However, I remember original C&C. Beat the GDI campaign, I did.

As for your military, you get a pat on the back for making it workable, and a fire extinguisher as soon as you get flamethrower troops and flame tanks. Also, should you attempt to copy the stealth tanks, you get a boot to the head.

The ARSCF has way more toys to play with than C&C. If there's a game called Sino's Army, you'd be surprised at the availability of units! C&C's still a great game, despite the units being scant. I love the pumping soundtrack also.

Eh, C&C never held much relation to the UPA. Artillery was never good enough... there was never clear enough destinction between direct and indirect fire. And the infantry all blaze away on full auto or at least a reckless burst fire. Drapoel infantry point their guns at people before squeezing the trigger.

Now hovercraft we do, but again they carry only infantry. We've got beach-ramming boats for stransporting armour. Plus... land.

Type 520-T... that is basically the second most powerful surface vessel available to the CPRD. Of course, ours is modified, having been built in Penglai and refitted in the CPRD.

I can't be bothered typing more, I'm drunk and someone is talking to me... what? Out? Food? Bah.

They are great games, but nowadays they have no effect on me. When I was Soviet however, I DID use the rifleman sorta lookin effect for my infantry from Red Alert 1. I used a couple of things from that game.

Otherwise, nah. I think C an C is going downhill with Generals.

I base my infantry more on the GDI (my BDUs have more colors than gold) but with Chinese weapons and aggression like Nod. Generals is just weird, the Chinese are too unusual for my liking.

*Is a "pom"* anyway, I do find Generals to be the black sheep of the series, whereas others blame Tib Sun or Renegade..

Wonder what it feels like if there's an RTS game based on the Sinoese army?

Tib Sun caused actual pain trying to play it. Generals was just kinda annoying (Tank Rushes, screwy stuff like OMG NOES NUKE CANNON, flashbang grenades that somehow kill everyone garrisoned inside a building, etc...)

I've been thinking about trying my hand at a NS-mod of C&C Generals but I've no time to work on it.

I always thought it would be nice to see AMF's Sentinels raping and pillaging on my computer screen instead of my imagination ;)

Also: Sino, could you please not type in hanyu pinyin? It makes my eyes hurt trying to read it. :(
