A Second R.M.S. TITANIC! Tickets on Sale for Maiden Voyage!

Communist Rule

In 1907, J. Bruce Ismay (President of the White Star Line) and Lord Pirrie (Chairman of Harland & Wolff shipbuilders) dreamed up the idea to build luxurious ocean liners as a way for the White Star Line to compete in the transatlantic passenger market. A total of three ships were planned: The Olympic, Titanic and Gigantic. The next year was spent doing extensive design work.

On July 30, 1908, authorization was given to build the Titanic and her sister ship the Olympic. In 1911, the order was placed for the third ship Gigantic. When this ship was completed, it was ultimately named the Britannic. Many believe that the name was changed because Gigantic sounded too similar to Titanic.

The keel for the Titanic was laid on March 31, 1909.

The Titanic was launched on May 31, 1911 at 12:15 pm.

The Titanic left Belfast, Ireland and headed for Southampton, England on April 2, 1912.

Titanic arrives in Southhampton on April 3, 1912.

The Titanic left Southampton on its maiden voyage on Wednesday, April 10, 1912 at 12:00 Noon.

The Titanic struck an iceberg on Sunday, April 14, 1912 at 11:40 pm.

The Titanic sank on Monday, April 15, 1912 at 2:20 am.

The wreck of the Titanic was found on September 1, 1985.

Present Day! The USSCR's foremost shipbuilder, SETCO, makes a press release stating its intent to build a second Titanic! The approximate cost for its construction will be approximately 45 million USD.

Specifications:
Gross Tonnage: 46,328
Length: 883 feet.
Beam: 93 feet.
Number of Decks: 9
Cruising Speed: ~23 knots
Passenger Capacity: 2,500
Total Crew: 944
Total Passengers & Crew: 3,444
Draught: 34 feet.
Displacement: 66,000 tons of water.

The Titanic had 4 funnels (smokestacks). Each was 62 feet tall and had a diameter of 22 feet.

The distance from keel to top of funnels was 175 feet.

The rudder was 78 feet high, weighed about 101 tons and was cast in 6 separate pieces.

Titanic's 3 anchors had a combined weight of 31 tons.

More than 3 million rivets were used to build the Titanic.

"Triple screw" - 3 propellers. The 2 outer propellers had a diameter of 23 feet and the center propeller had a diameter of 17 feet.

Engines: Two four-cylinder steam reciprocating engines and one low pressure turbine engine. The turbine, which drove the center propeller, utilized the exhaust steam from the other engines. (The new Titanic will allow the turbine to go in reverse, meaning the middle screw can turn in reverse as well. It will be electrically assisted.) This design recycled the exhausted steam instead of wastefully venting it up the funnels. The result: an increase in efficiency.

Electronics: Standard shipping equipment will be incorporated in a non-imposing manner.

The total horsepower of the engines was 51,000.

29 boilers - 24 double ended and 5 single ended.

159 furnaces.

(The Furnaces will be fired by coal through an automated, agitating chute system.)

16 watertight compartments.(raised to boat deck)

15 transverse watertight bulkheads (raised to boat deck)

Equipped with 40 lifeboats (total capacity 2,880). (Modern Technology gives much better collapsables, and several "Zodiacs" will be aboard by the plenty. An enormous amount of all-weather rafts will be stored in several "Fake Compartments," which is the reason the new Titanic can carry less passengers than the original.)

When queried on the name of the ship, SETCOM announced it would keep the original name, "R.M.S. Titanic."

Much controversy has arisen over the name. Some say it is cursed, others say you are as much dishonoring the dead.

The keel has been laid and production steams ahead.

Just because world leaders are being sent on the ship doesn't mean that it can't sink! Just remember the mistake was saying that the ship was unsinkable- that is why the Titanic sunk. That and they were too stupid to go around an iceburg. But still- if God can allow tons of people to die on 9/11 then why can't God allow a couple world leaders to die on a ship???

Plus people are gonna make scams about the ship while on board they are gonna say stuff like iceburg ahead so in other words the maiden voyage is gonna suck.

Upon an official handshake from Premier Lobonsky, symbolically granting the Red Star Lines the permission to put a new vessel to sea, the CEO's wife swung a champagne bottle against its hull, shattering into many pieces and foaming just as the gigantic stops were pulled, the R.M.S. Titanic sliding into water for the first time in almost a century.

Premier Lobonsky stepped up to the microphone for his formal speech:

"The United States of Communist Rule, Our Allies at Militarized Nations, and the World welcome the Royal Mail Steamer Titanic to the waters of the USSCR."

Titanic was soon caught by tugs and maneuvered alongside the docks to be furnished and completed. On the 24th, the Titanic would blow its whistles for the first time in nearly a cenutry!

It is great news to hear the re-birth of such a legendary vessel. It truely is a shame that the most luxurious modes of transit have been forced aside by the publics urge to travel faster. However in support of your program and personal interest, I would like to purchase 5 first class tickets.

I understand that although our politics may differ, I do not see any reason why the people of the world can't gather in peace and celebrate such a fine vessel. Upon that statement I would like to ask that my safety and that of my entourage will be guaranteed during our arrival to Leningrad and during our time on the boat.

Sincerely,
Chancellor Alexander Faulkner

Location: Office of Eric Stevenson, High Imperator of Montilado

"Come on sir, you'll have fun, and think of the publicity."

One of his advisors says, trying to convince Eric to buy a ticket on the Titanic.

"No... No NO NOOO. Imagine if there was a rebel there and he shot me! It's too dangerous."

Eric shouts back in a stern voice

"Which is why we came up with these two gadgets for you sir, this one" the advisor says holding up a pen "fires a small burst of electricity to dispatch any foe, It runs on a small rechargeable battery and its non-lethal so far. And this one" holds up a watch "has a mini 2 way video communication system built into it, incase you need to contact us for help."

Eric sits back and thinks for a minute then sighs and stands up

"Oh alright ill go, it does sound kind of fun, have my servants pack my baggage immediately and purchase a ticket, 1ST CLASS or ill have your head!"

Message to the USSCR

did I get confirmed for one of the 2 B-deck promenade suites or just 2 regular 1st class suites on B-Deck?

Also, why does everyone want A-Deck? B is the best. A-deck has poor window views due to the promenade running the length of the superstructure.

Three questions:
Can the HMS Government launch flyovers for the entertainment of guests?
Are submarines allowed underneath the vessel, to allow the KPM to evacuate the ship for whatever reason, be it a fault in or out the veessel?
For the same reason, is there a helipad.

Parliament started recess on the 10th.

The KPM is now at CR, waiting in an unnamed hotel (with his wife) for the launch.
