Formation of the Kanabian Socialist Commonwealth (Claim RP)
There was a joyous atmosphere in Bangkok, as the dignitaries from Kanabia arrived, along with the other nations invited into the commonwealth. The Kanabians may just restore unity in the region, several de-facto officials felt, as anarchy had reigned for many years and the people desired peace and stability.
Dignitaries from the former states of Vietnam, Laos, Cambodia, Malaysia, Brunei and Burma were also present and are expected to sign the agreement. The island of Hainan Dao is also likely to accept the proposal, and a claim upon the Spratly Islands is possible in the future.
Singapore was offered attendance, but declined.
So what does this mean?
Basically, the Commonwealth is going to take the form of a federal democracy, with each "nation" going to act as a state, and overseen by a centralised federal government and military structure.
The States will be as follows:
Thailand
Malay Peninsula
North Borneo
Brunei
Kanabia (OOC: Just assume it as bits and pieces of these old countries)
Burma
Brunei
Vietnam
Cambodia
Laos
Hainan
(OOC: This is considered in relation to Holy Panoolys thread here http://forums2.jolt.co.uk/showthread.php?t=358713. If you wish to contest my claim, RP it rather than saying "OMG LOL!!11 I OWN THAT U N00b!!!!!!11111" etc. )

ooc: I just made a bunch of ns nations and made them "colonies" of my main nation. I know it is frowned upon, but meh.

The treaty has been ratified. The above nations have elected to form a commonwealth...however, control over the "states" is minimal as they are in anarchy. Terrorism, (Fascist, Islamic and otherwise) is rife, and the military is preparing to deploy in order to seize control of occupied areas...
