Following a recent split between the MCP (Momanguise Communist Party) and the PSF (Peoples Socialist Front), Gref Armak, the PSF President has called for a violent revolution against the incumbent government. Accross many grubby bars and cafes in Yerevan, his message could be heard.

Where now is Momanguise? Armaks voice roared from the crackling radio, Where is the land of my birth? In the hands of an immigrant, a dog, a whelp! Where now is Socialism? The so called Communist Government has turned its back upon the true path, choosing instead a pathetic democracy which fails our citizens! Well I ask you, good people, the same question that Lenin asked himself a hundred years ago. What is to be done? Revolution comrades, revolution to bring down this house of cards, bring down this charloton, this traitor. Arise! Arise with the power and fury of the true path, and let it be a red sun that rises!

Following this, the Government responce was seen by some as indecisive. A warrant was issued for Armaks arrest, but little action was taken for tracking him down.

At noon, a huge car bomb detonated itself in Yerevans red square. Shocking video images of burnt and charred corpses were beamed to the outside world, whilst in a videoed statement Armak claimed responsibility for the attack.

Armaks militants meanwhile, known as the Red Guardians began a effort to gain control of some of Momanguises eastern cities. Grasping antiquated soviet rifles they stormed many Government buildings, executing civil servants and raping any women that they found. In an official statement, the Momanguise government discribed the insurgents as Bandits, traitors who love violence and death.

Meanwhile, the Momanguise armed forces readied themselves for an assualt against the rebel held cities.

"Yes milord. i Think we could offer them supplies or money, or if the situation gets critical, we could Send in the 3rd fleet and its marines."

"The Land of Estolad has received news of the rebel in your country. We believe that letting those fanatic Stalinist into power would not be right. We send our greatest wishes that you will be able to restore peace and order soon as possible. However, if the situation gets bad, we could send you supplies or money. More likely on your request, we could send in part of our Navy with 17 000 marines to help you.

Communism is an ideology that goes far against our own ideology however under the right circumstances we may be persuaded to help the PSF. Subsequently, this is a message to Gref Armak, if you can make it worth our while then we can make it worth yours and help provide you with a path to power.

Gref Armak was having a good day. His chief conspiritors were gathered in an undisclosed location.

His aides all nodded and shuffled out of the room. Then his two body guards brought in the unconciouss figure of the Home Ministers daughter. She had been stripped to her underwear. Armaks hand carresed her face before he laid her down on the floor, and dissmissed his bodygaurds.

We will offer $1.5 billion in military grants to the MCP without any condition, and a further $2 billion to cover humanitarian and economic aid if the situation escalates dramatically.

(OOC: If that was unclear, you get the military grants, but the other aid will come later on if things get worse. I'm tired, sorry :P)

The HEWC shall send a battle group to wait outside Momanguise in the event that the revolutionary scum attempt to overwhelm the government.

Furthermore economic aid totaling Four billion, along with other trade deals, will be made available in order to aid the Momanguise government.

Such revolutionary activities can not, and will not be allowed to continue.

Gref leaned back, contemplating the offer. After several minutes of pondering, he sent his reply by a secure channel.

Having cursed his slow and incompetant equipment, he awaited his reply.

Meanwhile, one hundred miles to the south, Momanguise paratroopers were battling with the Red Gaurdians in the city of Saxxar. With the highest enemy to civilian concentration ratio, it had been selected to inflict a crushing defeat.

ooc: More later. Just to clear things up, both sides are communist. One is liberal (the government) and the uprising is Stalinist. Personally I want the liberals to win. This is all taking place in Armenia, which is a land locked country, which means that reinforcements could have some trouble getting there (for either side). As it stands, however, the Government will probably win at the current odds.

As the paratroopers probed the defences of the city, problems began to arise. Pinned down by gunfire, the elite 1st division was proving ineffectual. Artillery had been called in and the gradual rumble of ordance was building as street by street, house by house, the government began to take control of the city.

"These are the current intel reports from some pathetic left wing country" Bjorn said as he handed the intel reports to Warlord Vidar. "I heard you had a new class of commandos ready for a training mission?" Vidar took the reports and as he was reading them over he nodded in agreement "yes sir 500 men ready to be field tested before joining active duty" Bjorn looked up and smiled "Excellent, have them begin infiltrating Momanguise. this will be a good oppurtunity to test our next generation of soldiers." Vidar saluted and left the room to carry out the orders.

within 12 hours all 500 commando trainees were outfitted and ready to deploy within 30 minutes. The officers were all in their command tents making plans for infiltration and battle.

Overhead, the helicopter gunships blasted away at the ruins of this once proud city. The rebels, mostly bandits armed with outdated Russian small arms were being slaughtered by the superior skill and equipment of the regular Momanguise armed forces.

Of course, such things meant very little to the paratroopers pinned down by snipper fire in the city centre. One stuck his head carefully out of the cover to assess the situation. A bullet struck him neatly between the eyes and his head arched back as he fell down dead. Beside him, his young associate realised that he had just become a lieutenant.

His superiors death had not been in vain, however. The muzzle flash revealed the location of the sniper and the newly promoted lieutenant grinned as he murmed co-ordinates into his mike. Seconds later, three missles blasted away the southern facing side of the building. He smiled again, this battle was almost won.

Gref Armak was still having a bad day. Saxxar was on the brink of falling, and any moment now the army would turn its attention to his own headquarters.

Sir? It was an aide. How boring.

Armak snapped to attention. He fired up the ancient sixteen mb hardrive and began to type, slapping the machine every now and then.

Of course the exchange of messages had not gone uncovered. The MPSA had found both messages and relayed them to Ernesto Sanchez.

Sanchez ran his fingers through his grey hair, his brow wrinckled in concentration.

The Stalinist Union is certainly a large country, yet its military is inexperianced. Send out messages to all of our allies, we will gladly accept all military aid. In the meantime, lets hope that we can crush this inserection before these meddling ******** intervene.

Following the fall of Saxxar, the MAF decided to concentrate purely upon Armaks capital, Verian. One million men and women have been called up to storm the city, which has an approximate defending force of 5,000.

The battle for Verian

The Red Gaurdians were huddled together in their rat holes for warmth. They had been promised relief...but none came. There was no sign of Armak, and morale was at an all time low.

Meanwhile, a mile from the besieged defenders, one million men of the 1st Peoples Army prepared to storm the city. The heavy artillery were cranked into position, the gaping holes yawning lazily at the pathetic defences.

A single word was broadcast to the artillery crews.

Fire.

In syncopation, ten thousand guns of the assembled bombardment force opend fire. One loader shook his head, two guns to every defender was slight overkill.

As the thunder of the ferocious bombardment ceased, the waiting tanks fired their engines and, roaring and horns blaring, the assault on the city began. Following the tanks came wave after wave of infantry, classic Soviet tactics. The defenders would be quite simply overwealmed.

As for the defenders themselves, those who had survived the enourmous ordance blast tottered out to their positions, their eardrums burst. All around bodies lay, bodys torn asunder and corpses lying like ragdolls, limbs flailed ascrew. Three survivors ran with white flags towards the approaching tanks, before they were gunned down by their comrades.

As the tanks hit the first line of defence they brushed aside the poorly armed insurgents. The line broke as mechanical beast drove them forth, deeper into the bowls of the city. One tank had been immobalised by a well aimed RPG, but aside from that the plan had gone to the letter.

As the militants were driven into the old quarter of the city, where the tiny meandering allyways made tanks impractical, the infantry came to work. House by house, street by street, they fourght for the domination of the city. Often coming to close quarters, they fourght like dogs to destroy those who would take democracy from them.

After six hours of fighting, the insurgents surrendered. They had been sealed into a cordon barely a quarter of a mile square, and then bombarded until the white flags started to show. Aproxamatly four thousand had been killed with eight thousand captured. This is extremely worrying as it means that there are still many insurgents who are unnacounted for.

As for Gref Armak, there was no sign of the fugitive rebel leader. The only clues was a satelite photo showing a large movement of people, prehaps two thousand strong, fleeing accross the Georgian border. The first army, having suffered only light casulties, recieved an order.
