Today John Herbert was offically sworn in as Prime Minister of the Emirate and the Commonwealth. Also in economic news the economy is on track to add 4 million jobs this quarter as massive public works projects start construction. Also the Senate has approved the Defense Appropriaton Bill which gives the Defense Department 250,000,000,000 dollars every 8 years for the next 24 years. Also the Prime Minister has issued as his first public decision which authorizes a complete audit of the Welfare Directorate which runs all the states welfare programs. This is a attempt to cut 45,000,000,000 from the program without cutting coverage to those who really need it. Also the government has issued another round of business loans. An interesting concept was made today when Chozo scientists pondered the possibility of censors in armor and weapons that could pick up electric signals made in the nervous systems and for example make machinery move or make a weapon fire without using controls, the government is putting a lot of money into this project and it is expected to be completed in 10 NS years.

Copernicus Crater in the equatorial region, 93km in diameter.
In 67 years the crater will be and doomed with 3 hangar/spaceports outside of the crater. The northern one will have a rail launch system for hardware/material/cargo launches adjacent to the largest enclosed space ever constructed by man the shipyards at Luna I.

We are currently digging out the space for preliminary largescale underground manufacturing facilities, the infrastructural complexes and the foundations of the border reinforcements at once. This is stage one - to be completed in 11 years.

We are alocating emergency funds to the development of a Luna Defense Force and an Orbital Guard - and we are drafting a proposed International Fleet that will be dedicated to maintaining the peace in space, paid for by an alliance of space investing nations interested in the peacful exploration and industrialization of space to that effect like the citizens of Luna I.

In the short term - plans are on the board to refit our orbital launch & work horses with plasma rocket driven microfusion devices and mdp beam weapons. A temporary solution until a shipyards can be made in orbit capable of making warships that can provide a dedicated defense of our nation and interest - which are the peaceful exploration & industrialization of the moon and our system.

We hope they will never have to be used. But we will be prepared in the event that they do.

AeroSpaceCity is evacuating the station and the planet to move to a new region.More info on ASC. The main ASC dome is only the tip of the iceberg(literaly). ASC's dome is a giant flying station/ship meant to move easily designed with enough defences to be in mid-space and have no dangers to them. The reason AeroSpaceCity is leaving the planet is that the planet has obtained an asteroid containing a dangerous chemical not known to normal people. This chemical called Zephoryte will kill any one that breaths its fumes the way it makes fumes is it seems to breathe the air. All personel and civilians are evacing the planet, then they will frag the planet(after containg the precious crystals inside) finaly they will permenently leave the planet.

Aerospace engineer Tilks Oplancy announced today the completion of a new fighter aircraft, the Hawkfire, that will be more efficient than the earlier models, the Stinghornets. With the capacity to fly at a maximum speed of MACH 8, these aerial assassins demand respect.

A new lightweight material has been introduced, named Berr, after its inventor Jacob Berr, that allows this aircraft to reach very powerful speeds when coupled with the new Naev 120 engine, an improvement on the old system, the Naev 100 engine.

The weapon systems of the Hawkfire are based off industrial lasers, used to cut jewels and precious metals, such as sapphire and silver. The dual-firing Lazer M.V. 6's fire off highly concentrated bursts of these lasers that could puncture two-foot thick titanium if aimed in the right place, using the new (like everything else) state of the art computer military system.

All in all, this is a very expensive machine, topping at over 67 million emeralds to build (as opposed to the 3 million that the earlier Stinghornets costed). Most will be saved for high-ranking TAF (Tioszaean Air Force) officials.

Rumor has it that a second model is in the works that, if it turns out correctly, would have the capacity for space travel, but this has not been verified yet.

Nicholas Washington, the first President of the United States of Nick (The USN), has announced he plans to resign, effective tomorrow. Axis Nova has rolled out the ridiculously massive Admiral A-1 tank. The Admiral is unlike anything fielded by Axis Nova up until this time, and is expected to give our armored operations a substantial advantage.

Even more heavily armed than an air destroyer, the Admiral A-1 (or Octo-tank as it came to be known by the developers because of its eight weapon systems) will serve as a mobile command platform and super heavy assault unit.

While most enemies have proven capable of dealing with our standard hover-tanks, the A-1 will be quite a different matter. Its huge main batteries are quite capable of taking down enemy tanks without trouble, and numerous secondary and tertiary guns ensure 360 degree protection from possible incursion.

A crew of over a dozen men are required to operate the A-1, most of which are in charge of aiming and firing its guns. Reactive armor plating, internal compartmentalization, and no less than six escape hatches also make the A-1 quite survivable in combat. Its maneuverability is virtually nonexistant, but it is easily able to smash almost anything that gets in its way.

One of the A-1's biggest weaknesses is not a design flaw at all; its huge dual diesel engines consume a ridiculous amount of fuel, and the A-1 can only drive for about 170 kilometers before needing to resupply its giant tanks.


All in all, this tank is perfect for defensive purposes-- it may be a bitch to get anywhere far away without truely incredible heavy lift capacity (only one nation currently produces a conventional aircraft capable of handling it, and we ourselves use other means), but it is still incredibly powerful for younger nations, and in addition can be modified as neccesary to fit your needs. One Admiral A-1 is worth an entire company of T-72s or M1A1s.

With a force of Admiral A-1s defending your country, you no longer need fear the Zerg Rush tank tactics of nations with armed forces far beyond your means.

Please take note, however, that the Admiral A-1 is ineffective in deep sand without signfiicant modifications. It can, however, easily ford most rivers thanks to it's tall exhaust funnel.

OOC: Actually, if you read closer, this design is almost 70 NS years old-- my forces use a much-improved version. The original version is being released to any nation that wants the designs.

Unless someone has heavy air capability, as I said it's best used for defense purposes.

In today's news, Jugglemeister Enigma has announced the repeal of the mandatory nudity laws. A collective "hurray" as people put on clothes again was heard across the nation. You have no idea how good it feels to wear underwear again.

In other news, the police have successfully destroyed the Kamari Crime Syndicate, responsible for making and selling illegal drugs. Police tanks, officers, and heavily-armed attack ships surrounded the hotel the crime syndicate was using as a base. When the idiot criminals refused to surrender, police opened fire with everything they had. After only ten minutes of bombardment, the four surviving criminals surrendered to police custody. Police are estimated to have killed nearly two hundred humans, six dogs, four cats, and a parrot. The animals will be given a proper funeral this evening.

Sadly, two of the criminals were successfully assassinated by armed civilians while entering courtrooms. The ASC SuperDome is to be built and constructed as a symbol of multi-galactic peace. The dome will hold enough living space to house all droidcas and humans from the POA(thats a freakin' lot o' people), the main use of the station is to connect all races and more to each other. The dream, combine different races and peoples; the job, build it; the outcome, a better world.
Alongside the main tower a statue of the one man who made ASC posssible will be erected, the one man, now dead after thirty great years, Haxx Blue. And our new leader, his son, Napster Blue.
