The men of the 4th army waited on their ships in anticipation. They were sailing towards Lithuania, ready for a surprise assualt upon it's shores. All together, there were 50,000 men from the Western Isles in there assualt group, and 150,000 men in three other assualt groups from the mainland. They were here to carry out the orders of Sigmar Kahn, the Emperor of IN.
The four task forces were due to land at Butinge and Klaipeda, as well as other locations on the coast. Aircraft were readied on the runway as they approached Lithuanian waters. Harriers and F35B JSF's glinted in the morning sun. Some carried not just normal weaponry, but also EMP pulse bombs. They were to go first, and short out the power of Lithuania.
They entered Lithuanian waters at 6.00am and proceeded towards the coast. Radar picked up the locations of several enemy ships, and Planes were scrambled to attack them with Hex Missiles (Like Exocet). Submarines proceeded to attack them as well, coming into torpedo range.
Cruise missiles were fired at shore defences and missile/radar stations. And the few EMP armed planes set off.
By 12.00pm, the first landing craft were coming onto the shore. The Lithuanian fleet was devasted by the Hex missiles, the same way an enemy fleet had been hit in a previous war (10 missiles sank 7 ships in Dr_Twist war). Twelve planes had been destroyed, but that did not matter much to the 4th army, as all 16 enemy ships had been crippled. Shore defences were hit by missiles, and the capital city was completely powerless due to the EMP.
Men scrambled off the landing craft, and several K-107 tanks drove up onto the beaches, spearheading the attack. Helicopters flew through the sky, lending support where needed. Special Forces teams were flown to strategically important locations, to assist the normal troops.
By 4.00pm. most of western Lithuania was under IN control. All through the rest of the day and night, massive armoured columns poured out of ships. Mainly they were the impressive Revenant MKII, but some were a new kind, never seen before. They all had IPHA-1 painted on the side, with a Puma leaping, blazing in flame.
At first light the next day, two huge pinsir movements swept along the north and south sides of Lithuania, The south pinsir heading for Kaunas, the north for Vilnius. As soon as these cities were under control, Lithuania would be brought to her knees.
Ships out to sea fired Cruise missiles almost constantly into military targets, some packed with explosives, others with Napalm+. Resistance was weak in the face of the massive Air and Armour offensive. In five days, the armoured columns held there objective, and there was no reports of heavy resistance from the infantry heading down the centre of the country.
In a months time, no resisitance existed and IN troops held all the borders around the country, preventing anyone from entering or leaving.
The Emperors task had been carried out, Lithuania was now part of IN.
Losses:
7,985 Men
1,243 Tanks
562 Planes
4 Ships
