-Protestors are hemmed in by Imperial riot police in downtown Generia City.

The protests have so far been largely peaceful, and few arrests have occured, however, the Imperial government has stated that as the protestors have not obtained a license, these protests are illegal, and if the protestors do not disperse, than use of force may become necessary.

On the other side, protest leader Maria Sharakopa claims that the government denied them a license despite peaceful intentions, and adherance to Imperial protest policy. sharakopa claims that the license would not be granted strictly for political reasons.

Imperial Government officials deny these statements as completely false, and claim that Sharakopa and her ilk refused to adhere to certain sections of code 28B of the Imperial Doctrine of Protest Guidelines.

More as the situation develops.

Kreschnev Square

The Imperial riot police, apparently inhuman in their armored garb, had surrounded the square, constantly forcing back the wave of humanity that jeered and hurled insults at them. Armored vehicles towered up behind the lines of police. A man stood on top of an armored personnel carrier. He spoke through a megaphone.

"Attention illegal protestors! Disperse! This is your last warning! You are in violation of cade 27A of Imeprial protest doctrine! Disperse! We will have to use force!"

In the center of the square a crowd of angry protestors turned over a small car. They began to pour gasoline on the upturned hulk. Suddenly, the men with the gas cans began drenching themselves in the liquid. Simultaneously, they removed lighters. With a flick of each, the men exploded in a brilliant blaze. The car went up in flames.

The burning protestors charged for the line of riot police. The police, caught off guard, panicked and fired at the men. The burning protesters screamed and fell to the ground. Several bullets slammed into other assembled demonstrators. With bleeding legs and chests, the wounded fell to the concrete.

"Jesus! What the hell are they doing? Who gave that order?!"

The protesters gasped in horror at the turn of events. With an angry yell, they bared knives and baseball bats and charged for the lines. The police held them off, enduring cuts and blows.

The gun of engines was heard in the background. Columns of T-98 tanks began to round corners, and headed straight for the riot. The riot police scattered, as the protestors looked in horror at the behemoths. Screams went up in the crowd as the tanks rumbled towards the square.

The vehicles accelerated, smashing into the crowd. The crack of bone and sqelch of crushed flesh was audible amid the screams. Praetorians, who had followed the armor, opened fire. The demonstrators were cut to ribbons. The T-98s opened up on them, and more lead flew into the air.

The demonstrators ran in all directions, scrambling to avoid certain death. Blood coated the entirety of the concrete. People stumbled over mangled bodies, only to join the dead as they were trampled.

When the smoke cleared, several hundred lay dead on the concrete.

That was quite a rash move. Come on, TANKS!! Hell 20 Police Armed Response Could have done just the same but with less dead people.

I personaly hope that all your nuclear power stations suffer meltdowns and wash away your nation in a wave of green radioactive goop!

That is all i'm going to say on this thread... thanks.

The Federated Union of Democratic Colonies is following these developments closely. We regret to see the outbreak of violence and the loss of life. We would like to inquire as to the specifics of the "code 28B of the Imperial Doctrine of Protest Guidelines" that the protestors were allegedly violating.

Emperor Antonius read the report with dropped jaw.

"God almighty! Its goddamn Tiananman all over again! Who gave that order?"

"We aren't sure, your grace. General Jaroslav was in charge of the detachment responsible, but he claims that he was not responsible for the order."

"Christ. Still, take him into custody. We have to give the world something. In the meantime, I want a full investigation into this madness."

"Yes, your grace."

Official Imperial Statement

Emperor Antonius I, Grace of God, is saddened by the events that occured earlier today in Kreschnev Square. The Emperor claims, however, that it was not his orders that brought about the massacre. A certain General Peter Jaroslav, who was in command of the responsible armored divisions at the time, has been taken into Imperial custody to stand trial for his alleged crimes.

Official Imperial Response-

You actualy allow protests? After all of those damn riots we helped break up over there, you'd think you guys would've learned something by now.

OOC:BTW, are those T98s you're using the CM built ones, or the Chinese ones? And I thought you used the super-kickass-mega tank that I made?

((OOC: They're the Chinese ones, and I do use your super-kickass-mega tank, but it wasn't worth wasting the clean armor for this job.))
