Earlier today, Grand General Kelson Kirambi made this statement to the press:

Fellow countrymen: In the past week, a great number of disturbing events have come to pass. Our capital city of Yachita has been utterly taken over by the rebel group YCNR, or Yachitian Citizens for a New Rebublic. I am afraid that while our soldiers are both courageous and loyal, we do not have the resources to take back our great capital.

I hereby send a message to any country of firm resolve to aid us in the defeat of this anarchaic terrorist group.

We will fight to the best of our ability and we will take our capital back.

It appears that the rebel group is comprised of 900,000 of ouyr citizens. How such a number of rebels managed to go undetected is beyond our knowlage. I'm afraid that our army will be unable to take back the city without sustaining horrendous losses and destroying much of the city.

The Dominion of Yachit thankfully accepts Watertests military and finacial aid. After all combat troops are fully briefed and equiped, combat operations in the capital are expected to begin late tuesday evening.

UPDATE FROM THE FRONT:
Casualties run high as a bombing was executed at a SpecOps barracks whos occupants were busy preparing for the coming march on the rebel-held capitol. The barracks was completely destroyed. 236 special forces soldiers and as many as 17 senior SpetsNaz officers are said to have been killed in the attack. Directly after the attack YCNR leaders released this statement:

Fellow oppressed citizens of Yachit, today is a bleak day as we have had to use deadly force to prove our resolve. We are prepared to use this force as much as neccessary until the oppressive dictator Kelson Kirambi agrees to the following terms:

1. That the current Yachit government be desolved.
2. That Kelson Kirambi be exiled to the nation of his choice.
3. That all governmental power be handed over to a provisional governing council put together by YCNR until elections can be held.

If these terms are not met and the Grand General decides to massacre his own people, then we have no choice than to clease this country with the blood of our oppressors. Over 10,000 government officials have been detained and 10 of them will be executed for every minute that the Grand General or his oppressive military stands within the capitol city limits or refuses to abide by the terms within 3 days.

Fellow Yachitians, you will soon know peace.

Bloody fighting erupted in the Yachitian capital of Yachita as Grand General Kelson Kirambi moved Yachitian special forces to combat rebel forces holed up there. There was apparently a first strike on a building that intelligence had demmed as a place that government officials were being held as hostages. The rebels occupying the building and detonated explosives, bringing the buiding down. An unknown number of hostages and as many as 29 special forces soldiers were killed. As of 20:00 the Grand General claims that the East District is completely under Yachitian control. Rebel casualties in the east district is projected at around 158,000. No surrenders were reported.
