Since the unfortunate coal plant amulet case of past time, which destroyed ancient golden amulet inside coal. Torsg goverment has had strict policy on coal mining and other industries concerning ancient artifacts. Since then many unexplained things have been unearthed and are currently displayed in national museum. We have also bought some from other countries. We have long been very sad about today's archeology, which dismisses these fascinating finds because they don't fit in the history books. They still exist!, they can't deny that. This time however coal miners unearthed something even more intresting, it was a metal rod. Further lab examinations revelead the rod to be made of steel. The rod was found to be hollow and rifled. Carbon dating revealed coal to be 54000 years old. Rod might be a barrel of rifle, but scientists are unsure about that as this artifact is so old.
Torsg Temple is very interested in this artifact because they think it's proof of Norden's(a civilization from Book of Torsg) existence


OOC: Unexplained ancient artifacts do exist in the real world too. There are many events recorded where coal miners have found strange things inside coal. Nothing really that radical as this rod however.
I felt necessary to explain this as someone might consider my ideas too strange or even unfitting.

Emperor receives the transmission and replies to it "Site where glyphed objects were found is unknown ruins located in frozen mountainous landscape of our nation's northern parts. You have full authority to do your research as long as you report your findings. We will dispatch troops to prevent anyone from intering with your research. As for the rod it was found in active coal mine and so far there haven't been any other findings. I don't think that rod is related to these glyphed objects".

The Transpontian DC8 lands at Torsg's main airport and the archaeological team debarks. Team leader Harold Vardis briefs the others:

Vardis: "I know many of you are excited. I know some of you are nervous. But we are here to study first, and to make decisions later. I have emailed the Department for Education and Science. They will let us know the thoughts of the cabinet in due course."

I am overjoyed at your allownace of our observation team into the museum.

We are en-route even as this is being written, but I must ask a few favors of you.

If you have any copies of the Necronomicon on hand, we may need them to decipher the object. Any parts of it would be useful to our team.

We are aware of its rare nature, but hope that you might have a copy, as our university refuses to let it be departed with.

Also, I must urge you to seal off the site this was found at and place it under lock and key at the museum. We feel that there may be more fragments of its nature, and traces of radiation and other poisons have been found near such things in the past.

I thank all of you for listening to the ramblings on of an old man. But please, do not ignore my requests! They will help us greatly in our quest.

I have sealed the coal mine for your research even though i don't think that the rod and glyped objects are related.
We have several copies of Necromicon. However we have locked them away, but i will arrange them to be send to you. 30 years ago paranormal research laboratories experimented with that book with horrifying consequences. The research was lost in fire and all scientists involved went completely mad and talked about elder gods. So we decided to lock up those books.

TRANSPONTIAN PRESS AGENCY: All Networks:
Khariar, Transpontia: The Department for the Exterior and the University of Khariar today issued a joint statement saying that they have lost contact with the chartered helicopter carrying part the Transpontian archaeological team to the mine site.

In its last transmission, the Torsgian pilot radioed that the helicopter had suffered a sudden and unexpected guidance systems failure. Radio and telemetry contact with the team was completely lost two minutes later.

As weather conditions in the northern mountain regions worsen, the DExt announced that it would be cooperating fully with Torsgian authorities to locate the crash site and retrieve survivors.

The helicopter contained six civilians: two Torsgian pilots and four Transpontian archaeologists.

The Transpontian mission had rented an entire floor of one of the Torsg capital's better hotels to accommodate their research effort. "All these other countries and teams piling in ... it's going to be like the UN bloody General Assembly pretty soon."

"Worried someone might beat you into publication?" his assistant smirked.

"Of course not!" Vardis snapped. "It's just ... this is a sensitive business. More sensitive than you realise. And now this crash ... those poor devils."

The traffic and bustle of the Torsgian capital was the only sound in the room after that, but Vardis could have sworn he heard the howling arctic winds.

OOC- Not actual six. I'm in the central Time zone of the US, so times could get very wierd. Just trying to get a meeting set up.

Quickly he writes an email to The Department for the Exterior and the University of Khariar. Allowing them to be cooperate in search of survivors. After pausing for a little to think about the events he writes response to Dr. Armanic. He looks out of window, as he watches the the infinity of Holy Paradise's capital he quietly wonders if he has to leave the International Capitalist Summit as the events in his country develops.
