OOC: This is a roleplay based off of the Stargate series (Stargate, Stargate: SG1, Stargate Atlantis). Everything that happens in this thread does not effect the nation in any other RP. This is a closed off and simply-story RP.
IC: (OOC Note, Attica is not on Earth, it is one of Earth's sister planets, Terra, in another solar system)
The miners dug hard. Harder than they ever had. RADAR had detected an object under the rock, of unknown origin. With full orders from Attica's Kaiser, the object was to be excavated and examined. Most likely, the Kahtans and other nations would also be interested, but for now, the only thing of importance was to excavate the object.
After a week, the object was finally excavated. A large ring, with symbols engraved. A pedestal in front of it. One of the archaeologists pressed a symbol on it, and it lit up. After that, it was not touched. When the archaeologists returned to the site the next day, the gate was no longer there. A Leichtpanzer arrived at the site, bringing the scientists to a facility in the Attiskoberg. The facility was, at the moment, codenamed "Sterntor". As the scientists entered the facility, imperial guards swarmed around the area.
As they descended deeper, and deeper into the facility, a sense of urgency filled the area. As they entered a large room, they again found the gate, this time, the gate itself was filled with some kind of blue medium. Automated Weapon Systems and troops were in the room, setting up the weapons.
Thru the "gate", 2 men came thru, with the marking "SG" on their uniform. After a brief communique with the Attikan officers, they left. The scientists were never told what was said.
