OOC: First roleplay... Don't be too harsh! Azuraelia is also mine, since I didn't want to offend anybody.
IC: Forgotten Lies recently held it's bi-yearly elections. In light of recent economic troubles, the Forgoten Lies National Socialist party has actually gained a significant amount of popular support in recent years.
While the opinion polls were showing rouchly an equal share of votes among the three leading parties (National Socalists included) some agents were inserted into the present government of the state by Azuraelia, who created a large number of 'postal votes' to increase support for the Facist party. (With the aim of re-organising Forgotten Lies as a viable military ally and trading partner)
It seems their plan has worked, and now the Forgotten Lies National Socialist party hold nearly 50% of the seats in parliment. While in the short term, this is little risk, since the other parties are liable to oppose any radical uggestions in force, the situation has become quite worrying from a diplomatic point of view as the party is liable, and quite likely to have sufficient support to overthrow the existing govenment considering it's current state of fragility.
This has caused a fair deal of worry amongst lthe governments of local nations and there has been a decision that something must be done to remove the party, be it subtle or not.
Edit: It is likely under the circumstances that if it gets to the point where the government is taken over by the Facists, that Azuraelia will intervene in any attempts to remove the government by means of military force. While both nations are small, Azuraelia has great military capacity relative to it's size.
