In a rather embarrasing turn of events a serious of naval exercises lead to the loss of a cruise missile which was fired in an anti-missile exercise that did not quite work. We believe the missile has actually hit some place somewhere because it sent back an automatic message stating a successful hit. We urge the nation that was put under these unexpected circumstances to please tell us what has happened.

An unidentified missile was downed by our missile defense systems earlier today. We were about to mobilize a strike force to attack the source when we heard your announcement. In summary:
Watch where you point that thing!

The missile was meant to b shot down by our own anti-missile systems but obvious something went wrong in our auto system. Thankfully no real damage has been down. Though we are confused our missile sent back a basic report which it only sends back when it has hit a target. We should not get a reply if the missile has been intercepted.
Are you sure it was our missile?
Ministry of Defence
Part of our anti-missile system is a series of false target beacons on the uninhabited islands off our coast. The missile was drawn to one such beacon.
