Communist Revolution in Kriegorgrad (open)

Kriegorgrad

OOC: Kriegorgrad is a very oppressed nation and when you hear about police, think of soldiers.

IC:

Kurlush was walking through the wide, cobbled streets of Kili'kuk, his left and right was framed by polluted factories, smoke smeared windows complementing the dull red brick worn from ages of use, some workers peered out of the windows, at Kurlush and his patrol, he shifted his AK74 uneasily, finding little comfort in the usually encouraging caress of the lump of steel.

Kurlush looked to the rest of his patrol, Kiruk, Mui and Karez, they all had the same look of anxiety, especially Karez, that meant something was definitely wrong, he had spent 3 years in the Kriegos Death Korp and had been sentenced community service for some petty theft, something like a lump of bread. That was the scary thing, he looked scared, his usual ice cool composure was ruffled, sweat trickled down his face despite the cold.

Something was definitely wrong, workers kept running to and fro, why, Kurlush had no idea, but when he questioned one, he simply said he was getting supplies from a rubber factory a few streets down. Kurlush never liked the workers running about, they were slaves basically, and it was like letting a rabid dog run loose just because he could make a pair of shoes, it wasn't smart, regardless of the dog's skill.

But nonetheless, Kurlush made his way through the streets, lost in thought that was a pleasant relief from the anxiety offered by the smoke smeared windows and oppressive skies, he turned to say something to Mui; something petty like "are you going to play cards with us tonight?", but the question was never meant to reach Mui's ears. Mui was gone, Kurlush barked to the other two policemen, he then noticed Karez was gone too.

A felt sweat swam over Kurlush, bathing in his fear, slowly he turned to Kiruk, "Kiruk, where are they?" he managed without stuttering, kiruk shrugged, "went for a smoke and pancake?" Kurlush gave him a glare and thought to himself, Bastard and his pancakes...its not funny after 7 years. "No, really, they probably just went for a piss or something" Kiruk said after acknowledging his commanding officers dissaproval, "I hope so...its not like them to just walk off though, is it?" Kiruk's face began to pale, recognition slowly began to fill his face.

"There have been alot of scumbloods running about, haven't there?" Kiruk said, he didn't keep the stutter from his voice, "We need to get out of here....the sprawl isn't safe" Kurlush replied, he didn't bother keeping the stutter from his voice either. They both turned and began to walk...then trot, then sprint but it wasn't really a "they", as Kurlush didn't turn around to see Kiruk take a sledgehammer to the head from behind.

Kurlush, did however see, out of the corner of his eye, a man in tattered rags charging at him, wrench held low, Kurlush turned and fumbled with his AK, he pulled the safety back and jerked it upwards and sprayed. The worker spasmed as his body was rent apart from the hot lead spewed forth by the assault rifle, Kurlush's finger didn't depress the trigger until the gun had long since clacked empty, the repeating sound echoed in his mind *CK CK CK*. Kurlush visibly sagged, the adrenaline had consumed everything he had, his sense's were dulled. Kurlush slowly began to look towards the figure on the ground, still twitching, a growing red pool of blood lay about the commoner's corpse, which was riddled with jagged gouges. His focus was consumed by the corpse, laying a few feet away, blood slowly growing in a crimson pool.

That was why Kurlush didn't see the man sneak up behind him, raise a sledge hammer, and slam it into the side of his head. Kurlush's vision swam for nanoseconds before darkness consumed him...everlasting, neverending darkness.

OOC: Alright, you guys can start to RP now, the rebellion has begun.

A large crowd was growing in the commercial quarter. A twisting main street was filled to the gutter with people, an insurmountable amount of people. Moving back and forth in tatters, trying to make way farther up the street to the courtyard. For the amount of people, you would think there would be something to strike your ear, yet no. Dead silence. The slightest noise that might come to you is the offhand whipping of a cloak, the whistle of the wind running through the winding roads, or a stray dog whimpering as someone stepped on its tail. Depravation of sound, and of sight. The heavy skies hid most from sight, pollution sinking into every crevice of this district.

However silent the people are, the expressions held by their faces seemed to contradict how they were acting. The older ones would have a look of worry scrawled over their face, whispering hushed in alleyways. The younger ones an attitude of ignorant bliss, playing a bit of soccer out in the squares. The ones that would be fighting though, held an air of determination, as they made way to the main courtyard.

And as the cobblestone park began to take in more and more people, it just seemed to grow even more silent. Then an audible gasp was heard from the fringes of the crowd, and a loud rumble rippled through them as each turned to try and get a look at who was approaching. A small divide formed in the mass, a tiny vein tracing it's way to the center. A single figure could be seen making his way through, crowd hushed, his footsteps echoing on the cobblestone. When he reached the center of the crowd he came to face a truck, took a look around, and took a step up onto a truckbed.

"The Communists disdain to conceal their views and aims.. They openly declare that their ends can be attained only by the forcible overthrow of all existing conditions. Let the ruling class tremble at a communistic revolution. The proletarians have nothing to lose but their chains. They have a world to win. Karl Marx."

He grinned, nothing but his grin noticeable in the heavy smog that conceals the commercial quarter. The crowd could hardly see one another, yet they stood united by ideals.

"Workers of the world. Unite."

And the crowd exploded with a battle cry.

Letilans were excited to hear about the opportunity to fight capitalism. They weren't fond of Marx, but this was a rare opportunity to oppose capitalism. To help the communists, around 10,000 people volunteered to join the fight. The volunteers didn't bring much in the way of advanced equipment as they didn't think they would need it. It would be overkill to bring in mechas and starships.

"Once more, another opportunity to fight capital and government. I guess this is a prelude to the real revolutionizing we plan on," Gk‡x'èmol said.

"I suppose it is. It's like our destiny or something to bring about the world revolution," K!uómalsà said.

To many Letilans, the glorious day when all hierarchy would be overthrown seemed to be close at hand. It was only a matter of time before the time came when Letila could create the world revolution that would end hierarchy and bring about anarcho-communism.

Unknown to the communistic crowd, a few people slipped away wordlessly and silently, dissapearing into alley ways and whatever nooks and crannies led them to their destination, the roar of the crowd had intensified, the oppressive sky seemed so low that the roar echoed off it. The city was about to be rent in two.

Inquisitor Micuri sat boredly at his desk, fingering the intricate gold "I" that hung on a gold chain about his neck, he nearly drifted into a deep sleep but the telephone on his desk just sprang into life, ringing 7 times before Micuri picked it up, he spoke cautiously into the reciever, "This Zackia, who is this?", a voice on the other end answered, "why, this is always Zackia", satisfied with the rather crude code used with eyes and ears, Micuri continued "Krukuz, what is it? I haven't got you placed in the sprawl for nothing, what have you found out?", silence reigned, "Krukuz?" seconds passed that seemed like hours, the voice finally answered, "I have...dire news, the sprawl is...not happy", Micuri's eyes widened, he slammed down the phone on the hook and ripped it back up to his ear, he twirled the dialler and the phone began to ring.

High Inqusitior Mathias sat, sipping on some wine and looking through reports, the usual rubbish that such a high position recieves, the reports contained, for the most part, mindless drivel about the sprawl being restless. Mathias chuckled, noone dares oppose the goverment, he had no idea how wrong he was. The phone rang, Mathias set down the red wine, and picked up the phone; It was safe, none but few inquisitors and some others knew his number, "Yes, who is it?" He spoke into the reciever, a deeply panicked voice replied, a stuttering voice, "The masses are displeased, something is WRONG! This is going to be another 1987", "well done, we will handle this" the High Inquisitor lied. Mathias was shaken to his core, 1987 was one of the biggest communistic revolts that Kriegorgrad had ever seen, the masses swarmed through the streets, armed with whatever they could get their hands on.

The news had circulated through the upper classes, in no less than 3 hours, riot squads had been dispatched, with Kriegos Death Korp kill teams ready to back them up should things get too hot. But things weren't going to work like the loyalists intended.

Kriegorgrad was going to have its foundations shaken and it may collapse under it's own weight.

OOC: Alright, can you have a riot and some ppl handing out guns or something, so you can beat the riot squads? Thanks.

"My comrades. We are not the only ones who share the same ideals it seems. We have support. And damned good support at that."

A snap of the fingers, and a line of men came streaming into the crowd, each carrying a large crate over their backs. They were set down randomly in the mass, pockets of people gathering around them. Another snap from the man in charge, and the tops were thrown off. Weapons, a damned lot of them.

The elderly were rounding up the children, and taking them off down random alleys in the labyrinth of this district. These two groups could contribute in other ways to the fight. The youthful however, let out another battle cry, and swarmed, each vying for a choice weapon.

A few crates contained snipers, pistols, grenades and the like, but only so many were available to the mass. Some still armed themselves with whatever they could find though, preferring a wrench over a gun. In this flurry of activity, the crowd also began to separate off into smaller sections, at least six smaller groups. Obviously this had been planned out long in advance.

"Kulita will go lend a hand in the industrial parks. Jakan and Tesla, go head for the upper district, you'll be joined by Yumenye after they collect in suburbia. Illiana and Rodya, the loyalists here. Move."

All noded solemnly. The crowd quickly disperesed, every single person taking a different route. The truck kicked to life, and rumbled. It jumped off down a narrow road it barely squeezed into, side mirror clipping a wall. All that was left in the square were a few crates, and the wind.

The Letilan volunteer force arrived at Kriegorgrad. The time for revolution was at hand. Though the Letilans weren't fond of war, they knew the capitalists had to be opposed. Gk‡x'èmol looked down at the nation from the orbiting transport ship. He felt he could sense the anguish of the oppressed people below.

"Have you heard about the Mighty Quin? They say there's going to be a war there, something about coördinators and environmentalists or something. They're saying that it's going to be the biggest war we've ever seen," Ts’ieràfoegi said.

"I don't know. I remember the Magnia war and reactionaries a few years back. That was pretty big. We took some heavy casualities," K!uómalsà said.

"No, this one is going to be much bigger. There's going to be millions of militia members and hundreds of starships and mecha. Maybe even Project Overfiend itself," Ts’ieràfoegi said.

"So we really could be on the verge of the world revolution? Things certainly seem to be heating up," Gk‡x'èmol said as the transports prepared to land and deploy the militia.

Duke Gwalcavad slammed the phone down and called Duncan MacConnal, the minster of war.
"There's a communist revolt. I bloody huge one from the sound of it. We have got to help Kriegorgrad."
MacConnal paused, "I could put four regiments from the Cymry brigade in. That'd be eight hundred SpecOps troops, but if it's urban warfare, any vehicle larger than a jeeps won't stand a chance."
Gwalcavad nodded, "Send a couple flights of Furies with them."
MacConnal saluted and left the room.

Within 24 hours several transport helicopters, escorted by 15 Fury attack helicopters swept into Kili'kuk. A transmission had been wired ahead offering aide and requesting orders.

"Svordsky, look at this."

The storm of the office was short and sweet. The whole two people which occupied the building had been defenstrated. It was a small government building, a military office for relaying messages and nothing more. All that had been in here were two clerks, each with their own desk and radio equipment scattered about. Right now though, these two had replaced them.

"Aide is on the way to oppose us, Milush?"

"Jah. Any ideas?"

"We reply. We are after all, the people of this nation, we should know what's best."

Milush and Svordsky were part of the Rodya group in the commercial district. The apartment over their heads held loyalists, affiliations with Nike actualy, the rest of the group was dealing with them though. Rather noisily too.

Svordsky flicked a few switches on the radio he was in front of, and took the speaker, fiddling with a knob or two. A few seconds of feedback, and he reached the appropriate channel.

"Attention, Yr Widdfa forces. Attention. This is radio dispatcher.."

A pause. A whisper.

"Milush, what was that yappy ones name?"

"Dyan?"

"..This is radio dispatcher Dyan. We have recieved your message, but regret to say higher rankings have instructed us to inform you we are in need of no aide. Please turn back now."

As they flew over the city, looking for the nearest airfield still held by the loyalists, one of the pilots began to get pieces of a transmission over the radio. "Sir." he called back.

Gen. Llwch Gwyn, commander of the brigade, stepped into the front of the helicopter. "What is it?"
"I'm only getting a patchy signal, but it sounds like someone telling us to turn back and that they don't need our help any more."
Gwyn looked incredulous. "Well, think on this, we wired that transmission before leaving. They had to have gotten in on the day we left. And they would have sent the message back to Caer Myrddin, to the Duke, he would have had a message sent to us telling us to withdraw. Anyway, there's the landing pad ahead, we'll just check it out personally."

The helicopters sat down and the troops disembarked. Gen. Gwyn went in search of someone in charge of the loyalist forces.

A radio message was picked up by The RSR's survelleince units a few days ago. It read:''This is radio dispatcher Dyan. We have recieved your message, but regret to say higher rankings have instructed us to inform you we are in need of no aide. Please turn back now."Immediately, it was tracked and found it originated from Kriegograd, home of the Revolution. At once the Field Marshall was informed.

'Should we help the Revolution?' Asked junior Brigadier Smith.

'Let's stand down for a bit, seeing as they don't need assistance right now,' replied Field Marshall Li, 'But get the military on alert, any signs of help, then it'll be time to roll the tanks'

Meanwhile, outside, 100 T-80 Tanks are assembled in The Restricted Zone, and are ready to move if needed

The room was dark, only lit by one bulb, 50 watt really. There was a table in the middle, surrounded by 10 men, each armed with AK-47s. All of them Rosians that immigrated from the Liberal Socialist Government. They were pro-communism of course, but they were extremists, they wanted more. This was their chance. But why did they immigrate? It was in 1987... no more explanation needed. One stepped up towards the table. On the table was a map of the city, he pointed at the map.

"And so it begin. The Proletariat are mad, we must use this chance. The Rosian Government will not interfere, but we will. Ivan, any word on allies?"

Ivan, a fat young man stepped towards the table. He looked about 35 and was growing a beard.

"Fodmodmadtol. They seem to be helping."

The leader nodded.

"Excellent. John, status on weapons?"

John, a 28 year old man, short but he looked old. He pointed to various locations on the map.

"We have crates in sewer bases around the city."

The leader nodded.

"Excellent. Everybody, to the sewers. We must begin recruiting. Mikhail, send radio propaganda. The rest of us are going down."

Mikhail was in the corner of the room twinking with the radio set. After a few knocks of the hammer, the transmission started working.

"Proletariat, the Government has abused you and treated you like numbers. We now have a chance to destroy them. Today is the day when the Workers of the World will unite! We ask from the peasent to the soldier to join us. All humans are equal, we will not lose to the tyranny of the Government. Long live Communism! Long live Lenin!"

The 10 Rosians ran out of the room and towards the sewers, and for the transmission? It started playing every 5 minutes...

The Letilan troops planned on what to do next. They decided to send 1000 soldiers into the city. It was time to begin the fight. Capitalism would fall here soon and the world revolution would begin. The troops entered the battle with anti-aircraft and anti-tank weapons in addition to lighter, though quite advanced, rifles.

While looking out the window of the Capital building in Nervchek, East Soviet, Premier Yuri Zharkov was glancing at the Revolution Statue in the middle of the capital square, when his aide, Mikhail Astrasm, burst into the room.

"Sir, we have news from Kriegorgrad." the aide said while looking at a sheet of paper before handing it to Yuri.

"What is it?" Yuri replied.

"Communists in that nation are trying to take over." aide stated.

"Hmm... I want to give them full support, send several agents from the the East Soviet Intelligence Agency to assess the activity there. If everything looks grim for the communists, we'll send in our troops to help. Get me contact with the communist leader there. Quickly!" Yuri demanded.

"Yes sir, right away."

Yuri looked at the report and smirked, soon, communism will prevail no matter what, he thought.

The Letilan troops fired at the capitalist forces, targeting the Furies in particular. The Letilans were determined to bring down capitalism and they fought with a level of zeal rarely seen in most wars. They weren't fighting because a draft or for money, they were fighting for anarcho-communism. It was the goal they had sought for decades, one of a world revolution.

Just a rough estimate, and how well equipped are your men, if they are going to be elite then don't have too many.

IC:
Radio Officer Rikosh's jaw dropped, what he was hearing on the radio was impossible, "This Riot squad Omicron, we are being pushed back, requesting reinforced, crowds are armed, I repeat, armed! We cant hold out much longer, they over- *RATATTAT* MAN DOWN MAN DOW-", Something just happened to the riot officers helmet, the mic had been shattered.

Silas (sorry, i've read the Da Vinci Code and I loved it!) let out uluating warcry and he hefted his sledge hammer of the shattered remains of the Riot Officer's skull and helm, bone and composite mingling in some horrific merging, blood and brain matter oozed from the cracks of the shattered helm. Silas held his hammer high above his head, there was one thing that made him stand out, he was stripped to the waist, and was an albino, thick muscles adorned his body, the plus side of working under the cruel whips of the overseers in the factories.

But, as the revolution commenced, the huge, groaning beast that was the Kriegos Military awoke from it's slumber. An airbase, 17 miles from Kili'kuk was heavily defended, sandbags and bunkers lined it, a formidable sight for the infantryman of the rebellion. 20 RAH-1 Commanches hauled themselve's off their landing pads gracefully and began the short flight to the city. "This is bravo one, I repeat this is bravo one, whats yours status? Over", Krulin had about 2 seconds to wait before a chorus of "Status green" crackled in, the static not being shy about making itself known, Krulin spoke once more, making sure everyone knew the situation, "remember people, we are in killteams, two to a pack, over", a few more seconds and a chorus came in again.

Silas hefted his head, his bald his shouting defiance to the choppers that swooped overhead, that carrion to a fat buffalo on it's last breath. Even Silas ducked his head and ran to an alley way when a chopper came low and shredded the street up with machine gun fire, shrapnel flying off splintered cobble stones and embedding itself into communist flesh.

Kommandant Murik leant on the BMP's hatchway lid, looking down the turret, which point straight ahead to the sprawling mass of Kili'kuk, high, red stone walls smeared with pollution dominated the view, clumps of hardy grass clung to the blackened dirt on hillsides and next to the road. Murik shifted his weight and looked back on the long column of tanks behind him, ST-11s of Soviet Bloc manufacture alternated BMP-8s, leaving massive dust trails and treads ground up earth.

Pvt. Kurluk slammed his back against the wall with the rest of his Kriegos Death Korp, they all clung to their AK-74's as if their lives depended on it, quite appropriate as their lives did depend on it, because, on street over, was a massive crowd of communists, waving AK47s and shooting wildly into the air. Pvt. Kurluk edged his way to the corner, and snuck a peak around, his eyes widened, he took in a view of red banners, AKs and the endless sea of communists. Kurluk couldn't be fast enough to pull his head back around the corner. "I think we should stay inside the buildings" Kurluk said to noone, he looked around panicked before he saw his Kommandant waving to him from an open doorway, Kurluk ran and slid through the door that was banged shut just as his toes left the door way. The din of the crowd roared in Kurluk's ears, an endless guttural roar of some primal beast that had been awakened after a thousand year slumber, a hungry primal beast.

Murik couldn't help but grin as his column of tanks rumbled through the Noble Quarter, Murik raised a clenched fist and the column screeched to a halt. Then, as one, the BMPs door slammed down on tne cobbled roads, troops poaring out like ants, a few engineers hear and there lugging "easy-build" road blocks. Within minutes, every street leading into the Noble Quarter had a road block, 3 BMPs, 2 ST-11s and 30 men guarding it. The Noble Quarter would not fall.

IC:
Kriegos Gunships were shredding up whole streets filled to the brim with angry mobs, Krulin could've sworn he saw soldiers among the mobs that his machineguns shredded but that was very unlikely. Krulin swooped over a group of Kriegos Death Korp spraying a mass of rebels advancing like the tides, each wave dragged abit more sand into the deeps.
Krulin gave a sigh, he felt sorry for the KDK down there, Krulin had no illusions he'd make a poor footslogger, he had never killed anyone face to face, sure, he'd shot them up from 300 ft but it just wasn't the same, which Krulin was glad of.

Murik stood, hands on hips as the troops bustled around him, making final preperations for the final, inevitable assault on the Noble Quarter, Kriegos Troopers stared down the barrels of the of AK74s. A wave of unease washed over the soldiers, the silence was beginning to get to them, as the white stone turned grey as an oppressive sky lended its dour tint.

Fox company approaches the city in hopes of making some headway into a badly overrun sector to no avail, about a click outside of the borders 15 .50 cals and asorted small arms fire opened up. Those bastard militants had found a cache somewhere and were exploiting it. Even with the UAV's there was no way in through that sort of resistance.

After three straight hours of air bombardment and shelling from the UAV's 120mm rifled cannons resistance on the edge of town is broken and about 70 men and 12 UAV's break through the barricades and into the ruined block.

Every building looks burnt out and automatic fire can be seen from the alley ways. Captain Calvert give the commands and the NSP units break up and begin to take back this city block, building by building, room by room.

Good evening, East Soviet, Andrei Lenov reporting for ESNN. We have breaking news coming from the capital building in Nervchek, that concerns the raging revolution in Kreigorgrad.

The Premier of East Soviet, the minister of foreign affairs, director of intelligence, general of the East Soviet Armed Force, and the head of the Soviet Parliment have authorized the sending of advisors to the communist rebels in Kriegorgrad.

When the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Georgei Kharsoviski, was asked to comment on the situation he had this to say. "We are currently assessing the activities in Kreigorgrad by sending advisors there. As soon as we find more about this, we'll decide to act or not. That is all."

We'll update you once we receive more information. In other news.....

RE: Uprising

I see that the masses of your fine nation have chosen to throw their lives away for the cause of communism, a system that has murdered one hundred million people and counting.

Considering that we have an interest in stopping the Red tide, the Militant Empire seeks permission to conduct mass firebombings of the socialist swarms, seeing as how Kili'kuk has collapsed into anarchy.

We have several EB-52 Skyfortress groups ready and waiting for the order.

Also, if it is requested, some two divisions of Imperial Military Police are prepared for immediate deployment, to help end this rebellion.

A few more clicks on the broadband equipment.

"Attention to all forces moving into Kriegorgrad. While we would accept your help, we must inform you that it is no longer needed. The revolt was quickly squashed by only a few riots. Clean up is almost done, and peace has.. Returned.. To most of the city.."

A stiffle of a snicker from the other desk.

"We must ask you to leave Kreigorgrad now. Any further operations will be seen as a hostile act against Kriegorgrad. Please depart."

OOC: sorry it's been a long day since I posted this morning. Since it was not specified WHAT they were shooting at the Furies, I'm assuming it's small arms fire.

IC: Bullets struck the hulls of the Furies as they swept over the city toward the airbase. One was seriously damaged and barely made it into the airbase. Five broke off and made a run over the area where the fire was coming from, strafing with the .50 chainguns mounted under the wings and loosing a number of helfire missiles, then turned back. One crash landed, killing the copilot. All others sustained minor damage.

Gen. Gwyn shouted back over the radio, "Hell with that!" and then cut the feed. He set up a command center in one of the hangers. As he was preparing to go meet the base commander, he received a transmission from Caer Myrddin. It read: Considered possible that Hallad will come in on the side of the Communists due to new government. Avoid combat with our Allies if at all possible. Gwyn cursed under his breath and then left for the meeting.

Yuri Emmetovich ran through the crowd of survivors. Yuri was in his early tweties, he has red hair, is 6'2 and is slightly built at 180 pounds. His hand were calloused from blue collar work at an automobile factory. He was searching in desperation for his older brother Nikolas and younger brother Fyodor. Both of whom had left home from the Dominion of Sir Peter the sage a few days ago.

Flashback (two days ago): Yuri: "Where do you two think you're going" (Noticing a couple suitcases).

Nikolas: "We're going to Kriegorgrad! There is rumor of a communist revolt stirring there, and we shall help them achieve it!"

Yuri: "You know I am opposed to communism but I respect you cuz your my brother. But why stir up trouble overseas?! Our life is fine here, and communism won't work here or over there"

Fyodor: "Are you blind! We're all oppressed by those capitalist pigdogs!"

Yuri: "Stop spouting all that meaningless propanda!"

Nikolas: "Enough! We're leaving now" (Nikolas and Fyodor exit)

Yuri (yelling to them): "Fine get yourselves killed for all I care!

End Flashback

*God, what an idiot I was, I should have gone after them then* thought Yuri *I have to find them before they get killed in all this chaos, please let them be okay* He heard on a radio that most of the revolt was squashed, but whether his brothers were still with those few still revolting, arrested, or worse, he had to find them.

OOC: It would have been nice if I could have gotten a telegram that this had started. I signed up kind of early during the sign up thread.

Off the shores of Kriegorgrad a Parthian fleet was being readied for use. F-18s, JSFs, AH-64s, Blackhawks, and PAVE-LOWs were all being readied for use. On these assault vessels, a division of helicopter troops: 3000 combat troops in total, were loading on board the blackhawks and PAVE-LOWs. The first wave of 600 men supported by 10 F-18s and 15 AH-64s was being prepared for takeoff. A radio message was being broadcasted: "Kriegorgrad, we are sending un forces to crush the pinkos. Please provide air cover."

The F-18s and JSFs roared off the deck of the Nimitz while the helicopters pulled off the deck of the assault vessels. They turned inland and headed for the capital. The soldiers were to land in the city centre and then secure it while the other Parthian soldiers landed around the perimeter of the city and fought their way in.

RE:Uprising

We'd like you not to fire bomb Kili'kuk, it may be in anarchy but it can still be repopulating as a buzzing hive filled with workers. Feel free to send soldiers however, but the use of fire...shall be up to us.

Mokuri was sweating inside his suit, it was boiling, the gasmask sat on his face seeemed cook, but it didn't matter, as he and the rest of the KDK kill team advanced, they wore fire retardent suits- and massive flamethrowers to go with them. The flamers threw pure white flame at the mass, desperately trying to scramble backwards but the flame still burnt, purified napalm stuck to those who ran into alley ways screaming. Mokuri was thankful that his gasmask filtered all but a trace amount of the stench of burnt flesh, but the scent that touched his nose made his stomach do backflips, trying to claw its way to the mouth so it can empty itself. Fire raged.

Krulin gave a grin as he saw the flamer teams below, dark, deep red being their choice colour, odd considering the people they torching waved flamboyant red flags among their ranks before dropping them to run. Krulin looked up to assess his kill team. Krulin watched with satisfaction and Bravo 4 gunned down a street, but that satisfaction turned to horror as he saw a missile streak up, from somewhere in the cobbled mass, and clip it in the tail, "BRAVO 4! YOU'RE HIT! YOU'RE HIT!" Krulin screamed over the comms before a garbled reply came back, heavily effected by feedback, "I am GOING down! I repeat I am going down", Krulin watched with horror as the chopper twirled in downward spirals until it smashed into a clock tower, sending it's tail flying away into the old architecture, the actual chopper span out of control and got into one of the narrower streets of the Commercial Quarter, about 10 ft of space, the chopper was about 11, it exploded and smashed into shards, sending bright plumes of fire into the air, the last thing Krulin heard was a garbled scream over the comms.

Captain Calvert stood in the lobby of the most intact building in the immediate area. A mere 5 minutes ago the last remaining 40 men had repelled the strongest attack yet. Their base of operations had been destroyed along with all but 4 of the UAV's.

Bursts of gunfire rage around on the streets and the NSP teams are quick to respond. The men barricaded themselves as much as they could. If they lost this building a quater of this sector would fall to the insurgents, and that they could not have.

Then Calvert heard the greatest sound known to man. The 4 Stingrays screeched accross the sky.

Suburbia was roiling, with any living being in support of the proletariat here. A jeep was making it's way down the backroads, headlights slicing through the smog that plagued the city throughout, as the car rumbled along slowly. There was a man driving, and a man standing holding up a megaphone. As they got closer to your house, you could hear what he was shouting more clearly.

"Worker of the world! Kriegorgrad has used you for long enough! We are taking the city! To arms! To arms!"

And all knew what had begun. This had long since riddled their thoughts, circulating for months in their subconcious. All capable scrambled in their home, snatching weapons, supplies, and heading out. A few even had the privledge of owning an autmobile. The ones along this block roared as they were started, veering out into the avenue and vanishing in the distance with a scream.

"To the noble quarter comrades! Take the baracades!"

And the jeep screeched away to the next block.

The Cymry Brigade began manning the defenses around the airbase to hold back the Letilan soldiers. The Furies circled overhead, providing air support. The troopers of the 3rd Dyvi and 6th Cam Regiments, along with half the 5th Legionis set up heavy machine guns behind baricades of sand bags and whatever else they could get their hands on. The leveled their rifles and defied the Letilans to come on. The snipers of each regiment found positions from which they could sweep the streets. The other half of the 5th Legionis Regiment, along with air support of three Furies moved out to the Noble Quarter to help hold the defenses there.

He ran towards the crash site in hopes of finding someone alive. He didn't want anyone to die here, he also thought the soldier might be able to tell him where his brothers might be. As he approached the site he saw the man unconcious in a pile of trash that had cushioned his fall. Seeing that he was breathing and had a pulse, Yuri continued to treat him. Task Force BLADE
Shores of Kriegorgrad

Considering that a full mobilization of two IMP divisions would be both costly and wasteful, only one Regiment of 2,000 soldiers was dispatched to Kriegorgrad.

While CENTCOM preferred a mass firebombing of dissedents, as they did with the recent secession crisis, they were ready and willing to commit forces to urban warfare against the communist infidel.

Screaming "Better Dead than Red!" the Imperial Military Police began the long march to Kili'kuk.

Kurnun woke, dazed, a man was squatted overhim, the last thing he remember was taking a hit to the tail of his Commanche, and then spiralling for an eternity and then pain, immense pain and the darkness. Kurnun looked and spat in the mans face, "You will burn in your communistic hell you vile scum!" and then just lay there, staring with intense hatred.

Mokuri watched as his comrades and he burnt back the vile horde of communists with pride, they were trimming back the vile, overgrown mass that was the proleriat, "Onward! Leave not a communist standing, we shall be able to smell nothing but charred flesh when we are done!", the KDK kill team roared with approval, and troopers moved forward with a zeal not often seen from the often dispassionate Kriegos forces.

Murik looked at the troopers weapons with dissaproval, "we cant hold back the red tide with this" he said, gesturing to the AK74s. "Send for some G-11 assault rifles, we'll need about 3000, I know that is alot but if they don't want Kili'kuk red, we need those guns.", Adjudants flew in 100 different directions is a blur of activity, rushing to comms units and squad leaders.

Kurluk's squad was just crossing a seemingly deserted road, when roughly 300 of the rebels poured around a corner and roared with disaproval at the KDK, who promptly, ripped up one of the few sewer grates in the area, and dissapeared into the mass of excrete and urine below. Kurluk's nose twitched in outrage at being exposed to such a vile smell, up to his feet in excrete and urine was a bad enough experience, having to smell it was another matter. "Flashlights up" the squad leader barked, and the result was a number of little clicks and flashlights popping into life, pure white light pierced the uncertain dark. Kurluk prayed noone else lurked in these tunnels, a fight in here would be close combat hell.

Krulin sweeped overhead, swooping down the make gun runs on the seemingly endless tide of communists, then again, which a city of roughly 20 million people, it was hardly suprising that the tide was always replenished. Krulin took a deep breath before pulling back up, to the relative safety of the blackened skies over Kili'kuk.

((OOC: Finally, some good old tunnel fighting. By the way is my following post okay?))

The tunnels were quiet, and horrible. The perfect place for a communist base. The Rosian Militants used this as their network transport. It was one of the reasons the rebels were armed. But these tunnels would not be quiet anymore, and it would smell as bad as ever.

A five man patrol was... patrolling the tunnels. Each were armed with AK-47s and a Colt .45. Outdated, but it worked. They did not use flashlights, but there was no need for them, they were used to the darkness. The leader spotted Kurluk's squad. He and the patrol crouched.

The leader gave the order. "For the Proletariat! For Lenin!" The AK-47s started firing on the unfortunate squad. One man even threw a grenade. The gunfire was loud. And the scary part is, there were many more Militants under the sewers...

And at the other desk.

"Yes, I heard rumors regarding the sewers. Can we sneak it in through there? Ah, and even into the noble quarter! Brilliant! Yes, yes, take Demovy to Greigor. You will be directly under where we want it. No no, we have that area. Yes, yes.."

--

A line of armed, infuriated workers stood facing the barricades protecting the noble quarter. Thousands from suburbia, thousands from the parks, thousands from the shop fronts. The ratty truck sat in the crowd, same man speaking.

"And that my comrades, is where Nike lay. Where Sony lay. Where Grumming lay. That my friend, is a gutter which flows into that."

And he turned to point to where they had come.

"China. Everything! Made! there!"

A hearty cry rippled through the line, as the mass raised weapons. A small blast was heard, and the startled crowd looked up as if they expected something else, suddenly quiet, to see a trail of smoke weaving from behind them, leading directly ahead of them. A loud mechanical shriek, and the block ahead exploded. With a roar, they charged.

OOC: Actually, if your guys are so adjusted to darkness, wouldn't the flash lights screw up their eyes?

Murik's ears caught the din of combat, he clambered up onto the BMP-8, and yelled to the driver below, "To barricade 097!", a bang came from below, followed by a curse but the vehicle lurched into life nonetheless, minutes later, he arrived at the seen, soldier's pouring round after round into the charging mass. Massive ST-11 cannons opened up, sending huge plumes of dust and stone into the air, bodies were thrown about like ragdolls, but they still advanced, the BMP-8s' smaller guns started firing too, making holes in the enemy's ranks, less noticable than the ST-11's however. The troopers were screaming as they clenched their AK74s' triggers, sending round after round into the insane mass.

Murik pulled a walky talky up to his chin and barked into it, the result was satisfactory and within seconds, 8 Commanches whipped overhead, unloading whole missile packs into the horde of communists. But, the horde seemed undeterred, they kept pushing on as if their lives depending on it.

Kuruk threw himself backwards as the grenade landed at his feet, his leader pulled him around the corner just as shrapnel shredded the air Kuruk occupied seconds before, a huge splash of water flooding down the tunnel, drenching Kuruk and his squad in excrete and urine.

2200 - Same Day

Captain Calvert and his band of about 20 sat in the midst of a basement with access to the tunnels underneath. The residential sector has been overthrown at least as far as they could see, with no reinforcements this day things were going to get very hard.

The entire NSP company was now out of radio contact and lacking in food and ammuntion, one thing they did have was the resolve to get out of there alive. Only hours before the proles had overtaken their well fortified position, sustaining an incredible amount of attrition but it seemed no use. There were just too many of them.

The remnants of Fox company were only able to escape due to the accidental rupture of a gas line nearby by a dim-witted worker. For now the workers had won but Calvert was determined to meet up with someone to at least make their attempts not in vain.

One minute the squad was just standing there, consolidating and trying to get a bit of rest, the next a red swarm comes knocking at the door. "Who's down there?", a prole screams in a Kreigorgradian accent, "let us in." On the good captain's mark 500 rounds per minute were let loose upon the door and multiple body on ground thuds could be heard. Now was the time to leave, before the communists knew what hit them.

Into the tunnels beneath the city this rag-tag NSP company goes.

Gen. Llwch Gwyn caught Murik's call for air support on his radio and sent four Furies. They shot over Murik's head. The moment they cleared the Kriegorgrad troops they opened up with their chainguns, laying down a carpet of .50 rounds.

Snipers took shots at any Letilans foolish enough to step out of their alleys into the street. They weren't stupid, you had to give them that.

OOC: just FYI, the A-86 Fury is similar to the american Little Bird in size. Armed with two .50 chainguns and a compliment of hellfire rockets.
The AC-16 Harpy is probably most comparable to a Blackhawk, in that it is able to carry a squad of troops. The gunship model doesn't carry troops and includes a set of lazer guided anti-vehicle missiles. I don't think I have any Harpies in this group though.

100 men from the Legionis Regiment arrived in the Noble Quarter. Their leader, Lt. Cai MacFergus found the commander of the armor.
"Looks like things are pretty tightly defended here. Anything we can do to help?"

Gen. Gwyn walked to the barricade, the enemy were still hiding in cover. It would have been nice if he could just loose an artilary barrage on the buildings along the street, but that was the bloody thing about urban warfare, collateral damage had to be kept down if possible. A bullet whipped by. Gwyn didn't flinch. It was only a random burst from one of the Letilans, it would take a lot more than that. He looked up as on group of Furies rotated in, giving the other group a break. He thanked his aid, who brought him a cup of Irish coffee. He sipped it calmly, then returned to the CP to send his status report back to Caer Myrddin.

OOC: I'm really not trying to be picky, but how are you 'continuing the fight against capitalism'? Are you charging, are you retreating to try an attack somewhere else. I just can't really react unless I just say that I'm continuing the fight against communism.

The damn commies, they were everywhere, the entire troop is now resorted to using side arms and make-shift clubs. Ammunition running low the band entered what appeared to be a massive drainage ditch coming out from some nameless factory in the industrial quater.

Kurluk was gob smacked, he just stood there, his gun clacking empty as a trooper fell to his right, only 3 people were left, Kommandant Krikuk and trooper Loomun and him, Kurluk, the 21 year old rookie. Kurluk almost tried to stop his Kommandant, he whipped out a pistol and put it under his chin before growling, "Better dead than red!" and with that, he spat, and fired, brain matter splattered the wall and the rather startled rebels, just workers who hadn't seen combat, more horrified that startled. Loomun swung around and sprayed at the rebels before taking a bullet to the chin, he screamed as he fell, he wasn't dead, but he was very badly injured, the bullet entered from one side of his chin and went out the other, you could tell by the way blood oozed from it.

And while he comrades had done something very heroic in the eyes of the Kriegos military, Kurluk just sat there, stunned, still clutching his empty AK74, clacking empty, again...and again...and again.

Kurnun barked at the medics on him, "He's alright! He ain't red, he helped from the downed chopper, he even helped me get away from some commie bastards!", slowly, the troopers pulled away their AK74s, before one of them said with a grim face, "Can't be too careful though, can we?", Kurluk just nodded as he pushed the medics away, "I'm fine already, just some bumps and bruises", that was of course, excluding the 3 ft gash that went down from his right armpit to his hip.

"Is there anyone around here that I can talk too? Yuri tried asking the medic. He then noticed the blood stain on Kurnun's side *It opened up again? I that wound would have stopped bleeding by now.* he thought. "You sure your alright Kurnun?" asked Yuri with a hint of concern.

Nikolas and Fydor ran through the sewer tunnels towards the sound of gunshots and some sort of explosion earlier.

Fyodor: "Who do you think it was brother?"

Nikolas: "Sounded like AK-47s like the ones we found earlier, probably Rosians, maybe Letilans or natives. Anyway, it means that someone is fighting capitalist swine, so we should go and help. (stopping at a fork). Great, now which way?"

Fyodor: "Look, theres marks from bullets on this tunnel's walls. I'd guess our comrades went this way!" (they went down the tunnel to hopefully meet up with their proletariat allies).

The Rosians looked at Nikolas. "Get down!" The shouted, they started firing at the remaining loyalists. There was one Rosian that wasn't firing though, he led them away from the conflict and started speaking.

"Follow me." He said. He led them through the winding dark tunnels which they knew by heart. A turn there, a twist here, a few more minutes later they arrived at a large room. The Soviet flag hung from the roof, where there were other militants preparing their weapons. There were crates of any gun imaginable. The Rosian looked at him. "Take your pick."

Fyodor: "Well...I'll take two uzi's. The israeli's are capitalist oppressors, but they do know how to make a gun."

Nikolas: "Hahehhe, true. Its nice to see the flag though. "There is an armory full of weapons and armor inside the city. If you grab the armor this can help us profoundly. You have permission to shoot. But be careful, there are reports of Hinds and Blackhawks shooting us down."

He turned aroud and pointed to a box full of RPGs. "One of you is gonna have to handle the heavy stuff. I will not be able to talk with you. Take as long as you want, but if you're going to be captured, shoot yourself."

He pointed back at the map. "As soon as you have armor, drive it down to Noble Square, there is a high air presence and you'll need it. Good luck, and remember that you are fighting for the Proletariat. Dismissed."

He turned to Kurnun, "We're gonna need to wrap that up before we go, something to keep you moving until we can get to a real field hospital. We'll hole up for a few minutes in one of these buildings."
He walked into the street and took an AK-47 from a dead rebel. He handed it to Yuri, "You might need this, we're in a bit of a hot spot." Meanwhile one of the troopers kicked down the door of the building they were under. One squad went in and checked the place. As soon as they got the clear, then entered. Nikolas, Fyodor and the three Rosian soldiers (introduced themselves on the way as Victor, Josef, and Alexei) approached the point where they were directly below the armory.

Nikolas: "Alright gather around men. We're going to do this by the book. I want Victor, Alexai and you Fyodor to remain on stand-by for now. Josef, since your the hacker you and I will enter through an old sewer grate here. From there we should be able to sneak to the security room. From there easy pickings."

Victor: "But why have us wait here? Wouldn't it be safer if we all went?"

Nikolas: "Perhaps, but we don't have enough data on the security waiting for us. I don't want to risk my whole team from the start. If it is worse than we thought then we'll call you in, you'll enter from the south entrance here, raising hell, and we'll go for the old smash and grab. Which should be simple enough with that rpg launcher so kindly given by your comrades. Any more questions? I don't want anyone else having any doubts before we do this."

Fyodor: "What will we do when we get to Noble Square with the armor?"

Alexei: "Well, obviously we'll kick some ass!"

OOC: Letila, please tell me how your men are displaying courage. What exactly are they doing? I'm gonna assume for this post that you're trying to move up the street again now that you have more men.

IC: The troopers poured fire into the Letilan troops as they made another attack on the barracade. There were more of them now and they attacked with wild abandon. The heavy machine guns went through boxes of ammunition. Troopers began to fall here and there. They were out numbered almost four to one but they gave all. About 70 fell as they pulled back to their secondary baracade.
As soon as the Letilans got near enough, the troopers detonated the claymores that lined the outside of the baracade. At the same time, Gwyn called in air support. Six Furies swept in and opened up, sweeping the streets with .50 rounds and hellfire missiles. Snipers tried to find men who looked like they could be officers in order to cause as much chaos as possible.

The blackhawks opened fire with their miniguns, spraying the communists with 7.62mm ammunition while the AH-64 loosed a rocket at the Letilans. The rocket sped through the air and blew into pieces on the Letilan position.

"Black lead, this is Shiraz 1, LZ is clear." The first helicopters landed on a central office building's helipad, disembarking the soldiers quickly so more could be brought in.

As he came around he saw a Blackhawk with Parthian insignia on the side. He alerted the other Furies and then radioed the Blackhawks, "You're a bloody welcome sight!"

Gen. Llwch Gwyn saw the Parthian Blackhaws open fire and shouted in triumph. He grabbed the radio, "Attention Parthian commander. If you have ground troops, bring them around. We'll be the anvil, you be the hammer!" Just then a bullet whipped over the sandbags and caught him in the shoulder, spinning him around and knocking him to the ground. At the barricades, troopers were falling more rapidly now, the tanks were holding their own though, despite the smoking wreck of a BMP-8. Give or take a few more minutes, and this tense battle was going to change into a swirling melee, A living hell. Between clips, troopers stuck bayonets on rifles hurriedly, before pouring their gunfire into the advanced horde, Murik grinned as he saw an RPG streak out of the crowd; leaving a fanciful smoke trail, and into the front hull of one of the ST-11 Battle Tanks, the tank simply stopped for a second, the crew was obviously stunned, before starting back up again, spitting high powered shells into the charging masses.

Kurnun looked at him," no, there is noone here who can give you the position of an Inquisitor, the lowest rank that knows where everyone is, well, where all the loyalists anyway", He paused and thought, before continuing, "unless you count one of the Commissars up in the noble quarter".

Commissar Kulrik hefted his pistol, a .45 USP, it made a harsh crack each time he fired, distinctly piercing the din of combat, thankfully, he hadn't needed to use his ability to execute cowards, the Kriegos armies harboured few, not many would make it past the bootcamps if they were all cowards, he also, held a long Kriegos Blade, akin to a Sabre and a Katana, a strange hybrid. The cracks echoed before starting up again.

If they gave up, they would go home in disgrace and would be seen as cowards and collaborators. That would be no better than dying. It was truly a tough decision to make.

"Either way, we lose, we might as well die fighting for communism rather than live being hated for allowing capitalism to succeed. No matter what choice we make, we will suffer terribly for it. At least this way, we will be remembered as heros," one Letilan said.

"I suppose you're right. I don't think I could go back to Letila like that. Let's show them what anarcho-communist revolutionaries are made of!" Gk‡x’èmol shouted.

A small circle of elderly men and women, a group of only six were taking their time walking down the road. A small child was with them, holding a ball. They sauntered through the mess of flesh and lead as if it were nothing, seemingly unaware of the spray of aummunition going off over their heads. Not even phased when a pair of battlers engrossed in melle, stumbled in front of their path, and severed each others head at the same time. Only a slight of hand to hide the childs eyes, and maybe a slight aversion of the eyes. A tower behind them exploded on the upper levels, sending debris flying everywhere, yet they only stepped over it. They came to stop on a corner, but the childs ball went rolling ahead without them into a mass of battle, and bounced slightly off of a barricade wall. A small exchange of glances from the elders.

One of them stepped closer to the child, and stooped down next to the childs ear.

"Go on.. Get your ball..

The child kissed the elder on the cheek, looked both ways before crossing the street, and starting wandering off after her ball. The older ones waited patiently. One adjusted their hearing aid a small bit.

120 walking wounded.
2 Helicopters with minor damage

The troops converged on the fallen Latilans. Gen Gwyn marched out and removed his beret in respect. They stripped the dead of weapons and ammo. Gwyn ordered a transmission to be sent to the Letilan government informing them that they could come and claim their dead as soon as they were able.

The troopers now began reparing the damage to the barricade and defenses as well as refiting and reloading. The men below were falling and they did their all to help, but though they slew scores of communists, more took their places. They dodged as the occasional RPG snaked through the air.

Back at the airfield, Gen. Gwyn heard the call that the Noble Quarter was being over run. He dispatched the Dyvi Regiment and the last couplle platoons of the Legionis. The Cam Regiment along with all of the walking wounded and the other Furies remained at the airfield to hold it.
Gwyn also snapped off a transmission to the Parthian commander:
To Parthian Command, Noble Quarter in danger of being overrun. Recommend you dispatch some of your force as relief. I've sent most of my troops to them but am keeping a regiment here to hold this way into the city and the airfield.

The little child wandered through the massacre, that small circle of others having wandered back from where they came. A few more tiny steps, and she took up her ball. She looked up the barricade to see fire flying through the air as more and more ammunition discharged from both sides. She sniffled a bit, and looked to the ground. She held up her ball as any others went flying about in a haze, seemingly unoticed. Hard to spot a six year old in a mess like this, eh? She bouced her ball a bit, held it still again, and squeezed it hard. It beeped. She squeezed it again. She turned to face the wall once more, bent down, and tossed the ball as high as her little arms possibly could, up and over its crest. A look around like a six year old would give as if they had just taken a pack of gum, and she dashed off to the side.

The Yr Widdfa radio clicked to life, "Copy that, Platoons 1,2,4,7, and 12 are en route."

The Blackhawks flew low over the rooftops of the noble quarter, over in the distance they could see a firefight between communists and capitalists. "This is black lead, we have friendlies on the ground in need of air support." The two AH-64s turned to face the threat and then opened up with their chain guns and rockets. Each of the rockets burst onto communist lines, spraying shrapnel upon the rebels and god-forsaken allies.

The blackhawks and PAVE-LOWs were closing the distance, emptying their miniguns onto the enemy troops while they landed on the ground to disembark the Parthian soldiers.

OOC: Correct me if that is not what your people are called.

Fighting alonside the Widdfans Yuri slashed open another communist with his bowie knife, his blood spraying onto the concrete. *I didn't sign up to fight their war* he thought. *But then again, if I'm going to find them I'll have to get through this rampaging mob, and working with the soldiers is my best bet at doing that*. He glanced at Kurnun cutting down another communist. *What about when I find them, though? Can I get Nikolas and Fydor to stop? Can I keep them out of jail? No...I can't worry about that right now. I have to find them first.* Yuri pulled out his magnum "Get down!" he shouted to Kurnun, he dodged and Yuri managed to shoot the commie preparing to stabe him in the head. "Guess you owe me one!", Yuri shouted as Kurnun stabbed another rebel coming at Yuri. "Uhhh never mind" Yuri added with a nervous grin.

Nikolas and Josef approached the techie at the terminal. "Smart decision not going for that desert eagle there. Now, cooperate and we won't shoot you in the stomach. Trust me, it is a very painful way to die."

"Alright, alright what do you want?" said the tech.

"Giving us access would be nice" replied Nikolas. The tech quickly complied. "Alright now locate the armor for us".

Tech: "Body armor or armored vehicles?"

Josef: "Both, imbecile" smacking the tech on the head.

Tech: "Ow! Jeez....ok, ok body armor, munitions, basement 1, vehicles in hangar."

Looking at the cameras feedback for those rooms Nikolas noticed there wern't any guards. "Josef, you can work things from here right?"

Josef: "Sure"

Nikolas: "Good" the tech managed to get out an O, shit before being knocked unconcious. "Alright you stay here and monitor things." Nikolas grabs the radio. "Fyodor, can you hear me? Everythings going fine, I want you in here, we're going to clean this place out like a capitalist clearance sale."

*15 minutes later*

Victor: "Thats about everything sir." As he loaded up the APC with extra body armor and weapons. (They were all wearing Kreigorgrad military quality body armor).

Nikolas: "Alright, me Alexei and Josef will work the tank. Fyodor, you and Victor can take the APC. It will come in handy if we want to pick up any comrades along the way. Lets move out!". They started up the two vehicles and started their trek toward the noble quarter. In the APC was the still unconcious tech. They had rigged explosives in the armory and both Nikolas and Fyodor had a detenator. It wasn't mentioned in the orders but Nikolas decided the Rosians would appreciate a chance to blow an enemy armory sky high if they wouldn't be able to get it later, not to mention a prisoner that potentially may have some valuable data.

((OOC: Ah, school...))

Ivan heard of the news. The mission was a sucess, using the radio he stole from Kriegorian forces, he contacted the tank and APC.

"This is Ivan to Red Armored Forces. Take down air support. We have reports of a SAM site nearby. But that is a rumor. Rosians will help you take out the aircraft. Ivan out."

Rosians started appearing from all over the sewers. Around 100 of them. Not the entire force, oh no, there was a huge underground guerilla movement. 25 of them had RPGs. They aimed at the flying helicopters... woosh! Boom! Or they wished it'd go boom, God knows what happened in the mess. But hey, that's up to the enemy. The others were armed with pistols and AK-47s as they fought the soldiers on the ground.

"For the Proletariat! For Lenin!" That was their battle cry...

Kurnun went into a trance, no noise, no nothing, just him and his blade, twisting and stabbing, hacking and slashing, watching crimson splatter the cobble stones, he heard Yuri say something but took no heed, he just kept twirling with his blade.

Of course, the techie wasn't that incompetent, because, as soon as they entered the room, the techie clicked a small "panic" button on the floor, and unbeknownst to the communists, a Kriegos Death Korp Kill Team was already in the building, fanning out through the dark corridors with flashlights held aloft, moving in packs of 4, operating in a way that everyone covered everyone else, a true pack.

OOC: Damn, I need to find sometime to RP this properly, BTW, I think we should start winding this down after the noble quarter battle, or it'll die!

An RPG struck an AH-64 directly in the side, destroying it in a ball of fire. Black lead had already headed for base when he heard Arrow 1 was downed. "Reinforce positions, bring in the A-10s...NOW!" In airstrips along the coast, 3 A-10s took off and headed for the city with napalm under the wings.

Back in the city, an M-777 howitzer along with ten other 81mm mortars were being aimed at the starting point for the trail of smoke left by the RPG. Seargeant Parviz clicked onto the radio, "Fire support, launch barrage, kill the pinkos!!" The artillery rang out as high explosive rounds impacted on the enemy lines. In the buildings overlooking Rosian positions, Parthian heavy weapons teams were secretly setting up M-47, Mk19, and M-60 weapons for a while now. Then, Parviz barked into their radios "Open supressive fire, plan Delta-Four" The 30mm grenades and rockets slammed into the communists while the M-60 rattled any visible heavy weapons positions. In the skies, air support had arrived, this time, with a 30mm cannon and napalm bombs. The vulcan cannon opened up as the plane neared Rosian positions, then as the passed overm three napalm charges flew off the planes and detonated into a fireball below. Seargeant Parviz then spoke once again into the radio, "Advance team proceed." The first Parthian soldiers moved out of their positions towards Rosian lines as the artillery roared in the background.

As Rosians died around them, they panicked. They were used to guerilla warfare not open warfare. 72 died from all the attacks, the Rosians went back under the sewers, no need to lose life. They were communists, but rational. But the Rosians would be back as soon as the armor arrived...

OOC: If you were going to press a panic button you should have done so in the post when the tech first noticed my men. Since you didn't I went with the mission and we're already headed toward the noble quarter with captured tank and APC. Rose also created a post supporting the mission as a success. So I think it would be best if we just forgot about your little silent alarm and kill team. Your tech is alive but unconcious at the moment in the APC.

The tank and APC rumbled down the street. Nikolai was on the raidio. "Affirmative, we'll take out thier air forces. Over and out". He switched to a channel between the tank and APC. "Hey Victor, you wouldn't happen to know anything about a SAM site would ya?". Victor replied simply "No sir.". "I heard something sir" replied Alexei. "Well what do you know?" inquired Nikolas. Alexei started "Well, I heard from this fine Kreigorian working girl with the best...", Nikolas cut him off "the SAM site comrade, we don't have much time.". "O right" said Alexei, blushing just a bit "Anyway, she told me she had done business with a few guards posted at a SAM site a about a mile east of here.". Nikolas paused for a second to take it all in. "I guess it won't hurt our mission if we send the APC, it can't shoot down aircraft anyway." He got on the radio. "Fyodor, Victor. I want you to take about about ten of those Rosians not armed with rpg's in the APC and go about a mile east. There might just be a SAM site there. If there is, capture it and use it against enemy aircraft. One more thing, be careful, over and out." As Nikolas watched the APC move east he turned to Josef, "How far are we from the noble quarter?". "We're approaching it now, sir" replied Josef.
"Good, Alexei, load the primary gun. Lets shoot those capitalists out of the sky.". "Loaded sir!" Alexei shouted with great enthusiasm. Nikolas sat down in the gunner's seat and aimed the tanks turret. He had a black hawk helicopter in his sights and he "pulled" the trigger.

The APC carrying Fyodor, Victor, and ten of Victor's fellow Rosians continued east. "We should be on top of this supposed SAM site by now" said Fydor impatiently. Suddenly they noticed a Kriegoran soldier run into an otherwise inconspicuous building. "I'd bet thats it" replied Victor." "Thats just great!" shouted Fyodor, "Now they know we're here! I guess we'll just have to fight our way in. Everyone listen up. I want us in 3 squads of 4. We're going to claim that SAM site for the proletariat!" the Rosians gave a cheer as they piled out and using cover, advanced on the building.

Col. O'Nial and the Dyvi Regiment were legging it toward the Noble Quarter along with the Parthian Forces. The Helicopters sped ahead of them toward the sound of the fighting. As they ran, the men reloaded and checked weapons, loosened knives in their sheaths and prepared themselves.

2nd Platoon blasted and hacked its way to the other troopers, far fewer now than they had been. They fought to stay linked with the Kriego soldiers. The stone below them was slick with blood and their knives and swords ran with it. They loosed a battle cry and drove in again.

One of the Furies took a piece of the exploading blackhawk and had to make for the nearest landing pad. The others turned and made for the new threat. They loosed their full compliments of hellfire missiles at the tank and then banked off. Another flight of Furies from the airfield arrived and began pouring it into the crowd.
Sir Peter the sage

The widdfan furies flew toward the tank which was still at the street corner where it fired at the black hawk. "Evasive maneuvars! Move behind the building!" yelled Nikolas. Victor immediately moved the tank so that the building was between the tank and the furies. When the furies released their missiles however, the back of the tank was not concealed. While most of the missiles hit the building, causing it to collapse, one hit far behind the tank, but one hit close enough to do significant damage to the tank. Nikolas saw white as the explosion occured and then darkness. He came to his senses a matter of seconds later. Alexei was dead, burned almost beyond recognition, and Josef had been peirced by shrapnel, he was fading fast. Nikolas could feel the broken rib when he tried to breathe. *I still have to fight for the proletariat!* he thought. Luckily for him the main gun was still operational. He loaded the gun, and then sat back down in the gunner's seat. He went on the radio on an open channel "This will be my last fight for communism!".

Yuri all of a sudden heard his radio come to life, "This will be my last fight for communism!" a voice yelled. "That was Nikolas! He must be ijn that tank I saw. Kurnun..." He saw the man was in some sort of trance. *Oh well, he thought. I'll just do this myself*. Yuri grabbed his radio. "All Kriegorgrad troops and allies. The rebel captured tank has been disabled and will be recaptured. Do not fire upon it. I repeat do not fire upon it! Kreigorgrad and ally troops will be in its vicinity." Yuri dashed toward the tank. He fought through a ever decreasing mob till he could climb on the tank. He knocked on the lid. The door opened and Yuri found himself looking down a gun barrel. "Yuri?" the voice said. "Nikolas? It is you! Please come with me you do not have to die here!". "Yes I must for the cause I believe in!" replied Nikolas. "Please can't we just go home and live in peace? We've both seen enough bloodshed. I think we both know that it will never work." countered Yuri. Nikolas' anger faded, his face contorting in a variety of emotions. Eventually his shoulders slumped, defeated, he said "Very well, but we must find Fyodor hes probably about a mile east of here.". "Then let us go get him " said Yuri. "If we do find him, what will become of us?" asked Nikolas "We could be put in prison or shot.". Yuri answered "I won't let that happen, even if we have to fight every communist, loyalist, and ally of both I won't let that happen to you two." Satisfied with that answer Nikolas and Yuri began making their way through the crowd to find the youngest brother Fyodor.

"Fall back to the APC!" Fyodor cried. Seven of the Rosians were already dead. Fyodor backtracked toward the APC. He could see that Victor was already getting it started. Suddenly an rpg hit the APC, it managed to set off the munitions inside causing the whole APC to explode. Taking two more Rosians that were near the APC with it. The last Rosian fired his AK-47 blindly at the enemy and was quickly cut down. Fyodor managed to get some distance at this point. He managed to get to the crowd and stared running through it toward where he knew his brother to last be at.

Yuri and Nikolas ran (which hurt Nikolas' rib like hell) east toward where the SAM site was rumored to be. Out of the corner of his eye Nikolas saw a familiar face running towards them. They had found Fydor! The brothers embraced quickly and then stood next to each other. Now how do they get out of this war-torn country alive?

Kurun glanced around, he grimaced, I was a fool, he probably wanted to get closer the sam site with a KDK Kill Team as an escort!. Kurnun's face was sour, he barked, "Alright, Move out in death packs! Looking for that guy that with us a few minutes ago, alright, MOVE!". Troopers quickly seperated into packs of four, holding AK47s before them like holy icons.

The troopers moved through the armoury, "Clear!" a voice chimed in over the comms, "One downed techie, looks alright though, requesting re-assignment", the squad moved out quickly, hunting for a BMP-8, that was, unbeknownst to them, like ruined under a half collapsed building.

At the barricades, things weren't going well, troopers and men were dying, soldiers fell screaming, clutching spurting wounds with faces a mask of pain. Chaos reigned...but through the chaos, a figure of order moved, he took long strides, unseen by any except the squad of 20 soldiers making a defensive circle around him, an honour guard for a figure of honour.

High Inquisitorial Lord Thilas strode, "Depart warriors, seek blood tainted by the red curse! Kill in the name of Kriegor Zan Varr!", the soldiers cheered and moved off into packs to join the barricades. Thilas stood, wind blowing at his long dark brown hair, grey trimming the edges, he stood, golden shoulder plates glinting proudly in the grey light, the gold armour stretched down to his legs where it gave way to seperated plating. The Inquisitor stood, hefting a huge warhammer into the air; a warhammer of bluish steel that gave way to the golden "I" elaborately sculpted onto the smashing edge, and called out, "Soldiers of Kriegorgrad! Stand your ground! Drive back the red menace and when you see a comrade fall, know that Kriegor Zan Varr I awaits him at the gates of Valhalla! En Cairo Alush!". Through the din of combat, you could hear soldiers roar "En Cairo Alush!", in English, "Death Before Dishonour!".

The gods overhead watched as mortals ran blindly to their doom, hacking and killing without a thought of the consquences, the gods pathetic attempt at order; in the form of the oppressive goverment, had been smashed aside. Chaos Reigned.

Yuri, Nikolas, and Fydor had managed to get away from the mob for a moment in an abandoned building. "You guys remember Uncle Ivan right?" said Yuri. "Thats, right" said Nikolas "Didn't he defect from the Soviet Union to Sir Peter in about '85". "Right." said Yuri "He was in the KGB but he managed to defect. He became quite respected in Sir Peter's intelligence agency. He still has quite a few friends, he even told me how he met Sir Peter himself a number of times.". "What does this have to do with anything?" asked Fyodor. Yuri replied "Well...I told Uncle Ivan about what was happening before I left. He said he could send help if we needed it."
"How are we going to be able to contact him though?" asked Nikolas. "Not a problem" replied Yuri as he pulled out a small device "this is a very powerful micro-radio. The Kriegorians or communists might be able to pick up the signal but it will only send a short burst signal for five seconds before shutting off. We can move after that just in case. That is all Uncle Ivan needs to get in order to send help. Hes probably organized it already." Yuri activated the beacon and after five seconds it shut off, and the brothers went to search for a new safe area.

Ivan Emmetovich was in his office in his home not far from Scotya (a larger city in Sir Peter's dominion). He was on the phone. "Yuri sent the signal then?" "Correct" said the voice on the other line "So, you're going to send in the team?" asked Ivan, "They are already in the air" responded the voice, Ivan spoke up "I'd like to thank you again for helping my family sir.". "After the service you've done for this country its no problem" replied the voice. They said goodbyes and they both hung up.

"The team" that Ivan referred to was indeed already in the air. Twenty members of Sir Peter's elite Highlanders , a special group from marine recon, sat in two stealth blackhawk helicopters. The team leader Captain Atticus Lanley and the leader of the other group Capt. James Burr on the other helicopter went over the orders again. [ooc: this is simply the gist of what the two said, varied with person]. "Our orders are to get into Kreigorgrad. The pilot knows to claim giving assistance to suppress the rebellion if they notice us, which is unlikely. Once in the city, the pilot will send a burst trasmission to the civilian on the ground giving him a pick up point, which to anyone listening will simply sound like us setting a touch-down point. The three civilians should then meet us at the pick up point. Shoot to kill communist rebels, but only engage Kriegorians or their allies only if they pose a direct threat and show hostile intent. I suggest all of you make sure you're fully prepared.". The comanches flew into Kriegorian airspace...

Set down there!" shouted Lanley noticing the three civilians on the ground. *I'm a bit surprised they made it. But then again, then were in OUR military.* The blackhawk with Capt. Lanley picked up Yuri, Nikolas, and Fyodor and took off. The two helicopters then proceded to exit Kreigorgrad airspace. "You're a very brave and foolish man Mr. Emmetovich" said Lanley looking at Yuri. "Heheh, yes I suppose so, at least on the foolish part." Yuri replied. Lanley spoke to Nikolas and Fyodor "I could shoot you two as terrorists right here. But I've got orders to take all of you to Sir Peter's intelligence agency. What they'll do with you. I don't know." The blackhawk helicopters were now over international waters, heading toward the the carrier "Maltese Falcon" to return to Sir Peter's dominion. We leave the brothers contemplating their fate.

Epilogue

Flames crackled while screams echoed through the shattered city, soldiers were busy hauling corpses into the trucks, the rare twilight gave it all a very macabre quality, blood soaked into the cobbles where communists had been mowed down by Commanches and Furies.

The last pockets of communistic resistance were being put down, Kriegos Kill Teams swept through the streets while BMPs and ST-11s patrolled the burnt out residental zone, a good deal of loyalists remained but they too gave their share of blood to the cobblestones.

For the first time in over 117 years, the Factories of Kili'kuk stood silent, no smoke puffed out of massive chimneys, no clang of hammers on metal, nothing. Silence reigned over the desolated city, even the Noble Quarter was damage, blood smeared on age old white marble, scorch marks were what the fortunate structures got, the others got large holes from ordnance gone awry.

But, the Noble Quarter was fortunate by comparison to the Commerical Quarter, the twisted, cramped warren of streets had become a pile of debris, thanks to ill placed Parithian artillery fire, smoke wafted lazily from the rubble while loyalists passed buckets of water to douse the horrific, roaring flames.

The Residential Quarter was affected too, running gun battles between Kriegos soldiers and Communist rebels had left the area a barren, bodies were stuck in heaps, huge heaps in the middle of the street, the stench they gave off was unbearable.

All in all, Kili'kuk was devestated, it was a shattered husk of its once productive glory, rows of factories stood silent, as if in shock of what had just happened in under 6 days. A whole city, destroyed in six days.

Silence reigned.

The Cymry Brigade loaded onto their transports. Only a few were leaving unwounded. The shattered Legionis Regiment was now at below half strength. As they lifted off and hovered a moment, they took in the site. Their landing zone stood like an island in a sea of destruction, for only at their crossroads had Parthian artilary not ravaged the area. Looking down they could see the street still lined with Letilan dead.

Three platoons, pulled from the unwounded among the regiments, remained behind to help fight fires in the Commercial Quarter. As soon as the fire was under control, they would follow their comrades. Gen. Llwch Gwyn leaned his head back against the cold hull of the chopper and drifted off, knowing he would wake up home.
