Yesterday in the Peoples Republic of Sovick, panic struck the hearts of millions of Sovickans as they watched an assassination attempt occur toward their wonderful leader Chairman Goric in the capital city of Sovicknia.
After a long meeting in the Sovick Peoples Assemblage Chairman Goric was about to depart the capital building when shots burst out near him. About 4 people were killed. Thankfully the Chairman was not injured badly. Just a minor flesh wound.
It appears the assassination attempt was led by a group called the League of Defiant Sovickans. Their leader is said to be, ex-General Metri Yurgovk. This anti-government clan, poped up during the huge "anarchist scare" which ripped into the nation just two weeks ago. Metri Yurgovk was completely against Chairman Gorics harsh tactics toward dealing with enthusiasts and was eventually fired by the Chairman for refusing orders to arrest 3,000 proclaimed anarchists protesting in the town of Kosmov.
There is said to be about 300 plus peoples in the ex-generals "mini army", all of which are willing to die for "THE CAUSE". They seem to be held up in the Vivkin mountains and are giving stiff resistance.
I few of Yurgovk's forces died today when 15 of them were captured and shot in the streets of Omnovo as examples to their other colleagues who are in hiding. Some of them had helped with the assassination attempt. The authorities hoped this would draw the League out from hiding; but it didnt.
Chairman Goric in a rally at the capital Sovicknia:"Earlier yesterday, there was an attempt on my life by a group of ANARCHISTS AND TERRORISTS who wanted to see me killed because I am against their TOTAL EXISTANCE!!! Im proud to say....IM STILL HERE' (claps and cheers)....'and to show Im still here....I proclaim that all miltary forces be put on full alert and prepare to crush the BACK STABBING, WORTHLESS PEICE OF FILTH METRI YURGOVK and his whole little band of rustic anarchists!!!"....(crowd goes willed)....
